Follow up update: I initially gave Shons electrical service a five star review. I am changing my review for the following reasons:
He inform me prior to install that my fans/lights may stop working building problem just call him (for a fee). Per Shons I just hate having to charging my customers.(red flag). While installing he touched a live wire and trip the circuit breaker in a bedroom. (red flag)
he informed me all five fans wires were faulty. Per Shons it was regular wiring, wrapped in copper, and crumbling or breaking in his hands. (Red flag) This is a Brand new home.
Shons did charge me a decent price of $525 for five fans being installed thus the one star.
I gave him and his aid a very generous tip.
The next day the Master bedroom fan/light are on going full speed. I turned off everything took a picture of the master bedroom fan left and came back next day. Had same issue with fan in master bedroom and now fan/light in the office.
I called Mr. Shons explained what was happening question if it could be from when he hit the live wire. He said No, the fans all worked when I left. I agreed but two were
Now having issues.
He really did not want to come back. He explained that he's was going to tell me the same thing in person that fans were working when he left. I said you install them there's a problem please come fix it. He explained he could change the transmitters in two of the fans. I told him I would probably happen with the others so we should change all four fans that are the same maker. He went over to Home Depot, picked up four new transmitters to take to replace the other transmitters. The original transmitters fan had three modes, and the lighting went from high and dim/lower. Shons replacement transmitter had three fan modes the light one (high). With this install of the transmitters he bought a guy with him who had 30 years of experience. When he got to my daughters room, he noticed that the fan was humming and it should not have been installed (damaged). (Red flag)
I returned it back to Home Depot, for an exchange but bought another fan Hampton Bay that was in the living room. area. Transmitters cost $140 in addition I paid him to place the cheap transmitter $450.
I paid for transmitters $140 and told him I would pay in full when my daughters fan was installed in the room.
Final straw was he wanted $150 to install another fan.
We hired a real electrician who verified and showed me the wiring was all copper and was not breaking up in his hand. He installed the new fan. He uninstalled all the cheaper transmitters and reinstalled the 3 original fan transmitter/receivers correctly, saving me $140. I did have to buy new transmitters, we only needed to change the code.
