Established in 2008.
As someone that has been in the service industry since 1978, I found a lack of caring and pride of workmanship in many contractors that we had at my new house here in Arizona. As a family, we decided to start Qual-Tech AC & Htg in 2007, opening our business in 2008. Our goal is to provide an exceptional level of honest, quality service and customer care, meeting the heating and cooling needs of our community while exceeding expectations for what an HVAC company should be.

Our AC decided to stop working at about 2:30. I put in a request with One Guard Home Warranty who assigned Qual-Tech. Christian arrived just before 4pm, replaced the fan motor and was on the road again by 4:45!  

WOW ~ AMAZING SERVICE & CHRISTIAN IS A GREAT REPRESENTATIVE OF YOUR COMPANY.

I've got to give 5 stars to Qual-tech as they were so responsive to my needs during a recent air conditioning outtage. While I had to leave a message both times I called, they returned my call quickly.
Of course as things happen on a Friday I went the full weekend without air. The part they needed wasn't available but on Monday morning they quickly came and replaced the board for our air conditioner. The tech was friendly, thorough and efficient. Air is back working again and I highly recommend their service. Trustworthy, and does not overcharge or make up problems to earn additional money.

Qual-Tech was sent by my home warranty company to check my A/C because my bedroom zone was not working. I had another company come before and he diagnosed fully what the problem was. Unfortunately, the tech found an even bigger issue because the secondary drain pan was full of water because the primary drain pan is cracked. This could lead to major issues with flooding and rusting. The tech recommended I go through my home warranty because the potential issues would be expensive, and the policy I have in place might help with the costs.

So I called the home warranty, and Qual-Tech is who they sent. The person who came was not professional at all. First, he entered my house without putting booties on, and when I asked him about this, he said he wasn't going on the carpet so it doesn't matter (more on that in a minute). Before he started, I mentioned what the major problems were, including the zone issue and the cracked pan issue. The zone board is in the attic (which is why I was wondering why he said wasn't going to use booties since he would need to go upstairs and on the carpet), so I was expecting him to look at the outside unit and then check in the attic. Then, I showed him to the bedroom, and mentioned the zone was working at the moment, but I am concerned because it keeps going out. He then went outside and looked at the unit called his boss before coming back in the house.

When he came in the house, he said the outside unit looks fine, and the thermostat in the bedroom was working, so all seems good and to have a nice day. I then asked him why he wasn't going to go upstairs to check on the zoning board, and he said he wasn't going to. Basically, he only did half the job, and refused to go upstairs to look at the rest of the unit. When I pressed him on my concerns, and he continued to act indifferent, I then showed him pictures the other tech took of the unit, as well as the report that was written up. When he saw the water the first thing he said was the drain line is clogged. I asked him if he read the report and he said yes. I then showed him the line that said I first verified the drain line is clear and he said oh. So now we have moved from unprofessional to just lying.

He then went outside and called his boss. Then, he came back inside and asked if he could use the pictures the other guy took. Again, he is avoiding doing his job. At this point I was so furious I wanted him gone, so I gave him the photos and asked what would happen. He said he would write the report that day (friday) and I would hear from the warranty company on Monday. Welp, wednesday rolled around and I had still not heard, so I called the warranty company, and they said a report had not been filed yet.

Awful service, awful professionalism, awful company.

I would absolutely recommend these guys! Fair, honest, and fast! I requested service through my home warranty late in the evening (after business was closed) they were at my house by 1130 am the next day, fixed my Ac in 20 minutes, all covered by my warranty. Chris answered all my questions and also gave me some info on my secondary swamp cooler that I have never used. I'm totally cool now

My house warranty company had to send 3 different AC techs out to my house before my AC problem was fixed. The last Tech, Christian, from
Qual-Tech AC was the absolute best! He was friendly, professional and after he fixed the problem he explained (in terms I could understand) exactly what the problem was, and how he fixed it. This company, and Christian in particular, come highly recommended.

My home warranty sent them to work on my AC problem. Christian was the tech who helped me. He was very professional, fast to diagnose the problem, and fixed it. I was impressed that he knew what settings to check on my Honeywell thermostat.

Christian was our technician.  I hate to say that because he was so much more: professional, super careful and meticulously clean in our home, knowledgeable without being arrogant and took care of the air conditioning issue with precision and accuracy.  So many times we have had techs from other companies come out and make excuses, leave messes, and say they had to come back, leaving us sweating.  Christian was just terrific and Qual-Tech is fortunate to have him and I hope the rest of their tech staff is trained and treats the customers as well as this exceptional young man!!!!  A delightfully positive experience!

Pretty typical AC business. The technician arrived on time. Didn't say much .. serviced the AC machine outside and then charged me for the work. Seemed to be more expensive than what I'm used to paying, but this was the first place to answer their phone after I called 4 other places so I went with them.

Had the company come out to bid a job on a house replacing two AC units and adding a third unit.  They never sent a bid to us.  I called the office several times, no one ever answers the phone, I left a message.  They called back and left a message they would have the bid to us the next day.  NO BID AND ZERO COMMUNICATION.  The three other companies all had their bids to us within an hour.  WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

Our air conditioner stopped working and it was going to be over 105 degrees for the up coming week. They showed up immediately and was able to get us up and running within 15 min. Our tech was Chris and he was a pleasure to work with and the company is following Covid 19 protocol. I would highly recommend them.

If I could give zero stars...

I'm not one to write negative reviews, but others need to be educated on this company. Because this was one of the worst service experiences I've ever had.  

I originally had an appointment with them on the 9th. John, the owner perhaps, called me on the 6th at around 1pm to see if I could do it same day because there is a big repair job being done on the 9th. I said, sure that works out better for me anyway. He says 330-5pm a contractor would be at my place and they'd call 30 min prior. 430pm rolls around and no phone call. I call John, no answer. 5:10pm now and I'm frustrated so I call and leave a voicemail expressing my frustration about the no-show and no-call. He calls me back and explains that there were 2 other jobs and that I'm next. Asks if it would inconvenience my night (it was clear to him that it did). I took a minute with him on the phone pondering my options and when I asked he said a *reschedule* would put me on the board for the 18th now!! That was strike number two. I really should have just canceled at that point.. So after a minute of keeping him on the phone again and thinking about my options, I said ok, let's go ahead and get it done despite it being a thorn in my side that they were late and outside their window.

535pm, the tech shows up. Goes straight to the compressor unit and takes off the covers and does a power check. Does another thing or 2 for 5 minutes and then decides to close up the covers. I asked if everything looked good. He said yea. I asked if the refrigerant was low. He looks at me and says Has it been low in the past? I said yes, I added some last year or the year before. So clearly, he hasn't checked it at all. So he goes to his truck and gets his gauges. He checks it and then says he's going to get a rag quick from the truck. About 3 minutes goes by and I decide to go out and see if maybe he tried to ring the doorbell and couldn't get back in. I see him at the truck with his logs and he's on the phone, apparently calling One Guard (my home warranty co). He didn't take the time to explain to me the situation. Instead he lied about getting a rag and was trying to squeeze in a call to One Guard to see if refrigerant was covered on my plan before establishing a plan of action. Strike three here for me. I stand by listening. He can't get a hold of the One Guard rep that approves these decisions so he figures they're closed (it's after-hours, remember?). He calls John, and explains the situation. Guess what John says. Reschedule.

That's when I lost it, internally at least. When the tech got off and told me that, I said Nope! cancel everything, and I'm not paying for any of it. I told the tech to wait while I called John and I gave John a piece of my mind:
Bumping me off schedule for a higher paying job and asking to reschedule same day, only to be late and not call at all. Then, your tech doesn't know that after-hours he probably can't get a hold of a One Guard rep?!! And he lies about making that phone call to begin with? And then, you're telling me to reschedule after all this heartache? Wasting an hour of my Friday evening only to tell me you don't know that the warranty company closes at 5pm? And then telling me I lost my original slot?

A good company would have paid the $40-50 of refrigerant OUT OF POCKET instead of making a customer irate about this nonsense. This company clearly cares more about profit than it does about its customers.

I went through my home warranty who uses this company. They called me and set up a same day appointment. Gave me a 2 hour window, called 20 minutes before arriving and fixed my AC in about 20 minutes. Christian was very friendly and professional. And my house is finally cool again!

I called Qual Tech and spoke with the owner. I explained that a strange smell was coming through my vents and from the attic. He was very concerned and came over immediately to make sure that I was safe. He also had his tech Chris meet him at my house. It was a fan motor that had burned out and was causing the strange smell. It was replaced  at the same visit. I was impressed with the promptness, professionalism, and overall caring and concern for my well being. On a side note, the owner fixed/changed out the light bulbs in my laundry room as is where the attic access is. I would recommend this company to anyone that needs heating and/or air conditioning  service.

Qual-Tech came to diagnose my AC thru my home warranty One Guard. Caleb the technician arrived on time & I even got a status (like that of an uber) as to how far out he was from arriving! That was very helpful. He diagnosed the problem right away & had the part on his truck. Totally professional & courteous! Great company & great experience!!

I asked my neighborhood Facebook page who they'd recommend for A/C services as ours died yesterday. They recommended Qual-Tech. I called at about 9AM and a technician was at my door at 10:45AM same day. He talked my husband through the issue and left to get the part needed. He returned 20 minutes later and had the issue fixed up in no time.

The work was done quickly and the company was great. The prices were reasonable. No complaints and we will definitely use them again.

The technicians were pleasant to deal with. After the first repair of our heater (we'd gone 3 weeks through December without heat, waiting for home warranty to approve and schedule an appointment), the heater broke again the next day. So we spent Christmas in a cold home without heat.  After Christmas, Qual Tech sent someone out again to re-assess the heater, and found that the coils were broken and the heater needed replacing. We then spent New Years home without heat.

John has always been very pleasant to talk with on the phone, has returned calls promptly, and done a great job.

They were successful in persuading the Home Warranty company to provide a new heater to us, which is wonderful, extremely helpful. The home warranty company has made us do more than 7 service calls on a broken AC system through the summer... yes, unheated home in winter, uncooled home in summer, thanks to home warranty company.

So we're very thankful to Qual Tech for the follow-up service calls and persuading our home warranty company to replace our heater.

But the technicians (or just 1 of them, there were 2 but only 1 distinct pair of greasy footprints) managed to find a puddle of greasy oil in our garage --- I didn't know it was there, I would have cleaned it up promptly; it's come under my car in the last 2 weeks --- and there are now greasy, oily footprints all over our garage floor, in front of our door, and in and out of the garage. I've spent the last 2 hours (bad timing, lost work) trying to clean up after them. We cannot walk into our house from the garage. It's going to take a few more hours to clean this mess.

I really wish A) I had known about the oil spill, I would have covered it with cardboard at least, and B) the technician had had the sense not to step in oil then spread it everywhere; AND, seeing that he'd stepped in oil, STOPPED spreading it everywhere, then cleaned up after himself.  

When I do repair work, mechanical work, building work, etc, I take pride in my professionalism of cleaning up after myself and leaving the area cleaner than I found it. Most professionals I know feel and act the same way.  

This may seem a small detail, but it goes a very long way in customer satisfaction. Creating a mess then leaving it behind as your calling card also leaves an indelible impression.

These guys are amazing. They not only installed a brand new unit in my house without even making a dent to the cosmetics of the tight location where it needed to be installed, but over a year later they just come out to repair a minor problem with a $0 service fee! They do very high quality work, and stand behind it.

Chris has been our technician and we couldn't ask for a better one. He is timely and professional. He is neat (even in this heat, don't know how he does) He speaks plane English and doesn't try to snow us with a bunch of technical terms we wouldn't know anyway. Very personable. Don't know how many techs Qual-Tech has but I can tell you  they don't have a better one.

The people there were extremely helpful and professional. When my home unit had issues, they were able to come over the next morning to take a look at it. The Chris was very accommodating and friendly to my family (my little girl kept asking him questions, and he was very sweet to her). He explained things to us very well and helped us figure out the best steps to move forward. I even had second opinions on the system and they all said the same thing Chris did. Turned out we had a 15 year old unit and we needed to replace it. Not what I wanted to do right now, ya know? But Christian (the owner?) came over (on Sunday) to install an in-room temporary unit so we could sleep comfortably and gave me pricing. He gave me a great deal and was even able to make us a priority and had the new unit put in on Tuesday afternoon. While his crew was there they were all respectful and professional. They did a great job, made my plight feel like it was the most important and took care for me. He even replaced my intake vents (which I had been trying to do for a while but couldn't find at any hardware stores): they were so loud when the blower ran, it sounded like a hurricane, and an awesome new WiFi thermostat that came with a room sensor, so now it can read upstairs and downstairs so it makes the whole house more even (much better for sleeping)! I've noticed my new unit runs less often, quieter, and the whole house is much cooler and more comfortable. My only regret is not having done this sooner. Thanks guys, you were great! Should recommend them to everyone!

EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT!! If you need service for your air conditioning or heating, this is the company to call. I had a heater problem in the winter that was diagnosed and fixed perfectly. I just had an a/c issue and called them again. My call was handled professionally and so was the problem. First thing the service guy did at my door was identify himself and hand me his business card. Great company and will call again if ever necessary!

Right from the beginning everything was done professionally and courteously.  Christian introduced himself at the front door and handed me his card.  He asked the necessary questions to start to diagnose the problem and then went right to work.  He quickly diagnosed the trouble and even took a picture of it to show me when he came down out of the attic.  He obtained the parts necessary and tested everything then re installed the parts and tested the system.  When he was finished he explained everything that he had done and provided a copy of the invoice.  Couldn't ask for anything more than that.  Highly recommend.  Hope I won't need them again anytime soon but won't hesitate to call if I do.

If I could give this company a million stars, I would.  I have a friend whose wires had been chewed through on their A/C unit by their dog.  They called George Brazil and this company quoted them $400 to fix it.  It is supposed to be 118 degrees today and this dear family had NO A/C!  So I called Qual-Tech A/C.  They didn't answer, so I hung up.  Well, to my surprise (on a Saturday), a wonderful tech (Christian) called me right back.  I explained to them how this family did not have $400 and they were really looking for some help.  He said he would go check it out and if he could fix it, he would for just the service call charge.  I was praying like crazy that he wouldn't charge this family $400 to fix the wires.  Well, he just called me.  And yes, he could fix the wires without charging anything!  AND he hid the wires so that the dog wouldn't chew them again.  This is just so incredible that I am blown away by Christian's honesty, integrity and fairness.  This family now has A/C on this crazy, hot day.  I praise God for this company!!!

I was assigned Qual-Tech when I called my Home Warranty for a service call on my thermostat. They scheduled my appointment for early in the morning, so I wouldn't miss much work. Christian came out today, listened to my problems and replaced the thermostat for me. He was polite and professional from the time we shook hands at the door to the end of the job. He completed his work in less than 30 minutes. I am cancelling my home warranty, but I now have a new AC repair company that I plan on using. I am very pleased and will definitely be buying a new unit from them this year. I have had many repair men out to look at my AC and heating, but Christian was by far the best.
