Honest, Trustworthy, and Humble are what comes to mind from the service experience we received from Martin and his team. They did an amazing job helping get our home's AC system back up and running in less time than expected!
What impressed the most was that Martin did not try to sell us anything that we did not need. Instead, he clearly diagnosed the condition of the existing AC system, provided service to help improve the issues we were experiencing at the time, and provided multiple quotes for longer term repair. We decided on upgrading to a York system with the 10 year warranty to avoid simply patching up aging equipment and for the entire family to better cope with the fierce summer heat.
Martin exceeded our expectations by his quality of service and with quick honest communication to any questions we had- regardless of the day or time.

This is the second time we have used Grand Canyon Refrigeration and I will not use anyone else ever again. Martin is so responsive, honest, hard working and he does not gouge you. His price is fair and he does not attempt to upsell you on things you don't really need. I will always pay a fair price for honest work,  and that is what you get from Martin. Both times he came out on the same day and had us up and running in no time at all. Very much worth your call.

I received several quotes from other air-conditioning companies. Martin and his team by far were the most reasonable and the work they completed was above and beyond what anybody else would've done for a higher price. He came out gave me an inspection quoted me a price And begin work immediately. The quality of his workmanship is second to none. Extremely reliable and hard-working. I would highly recommend his company to do any air-conditioning work. He did all the paperwork and getting our new unit registered.

Nobody wants to have to work with contractors, but when you do we've been conditioned to set our expectations low.  Not the case when dealing with Martin, he runs his business the way that all should be run- excellent communication, honest work, fair prices.  Not to mention he's just such a nice person to work with.  From replacing a full AC unit a year ago to providing service calls and maintenance on a different place today, every experience is positive and consistent.  Thanks Martin!!

My AC was blowing warm air so I submitted a claim with my home warranty. They sent someone that didn't take the time to troubleshoot the issue. Six hours later and $100 in the hole...my AC died!!
The warranty company wouldn't send anyone else.

I remembered Martin providing service to my unit years prior, I found his card. It is now 90 degrees in my house. Martin was busy but he was able to squeeze me in and showed up within 1 hour! Not only did he show up, he diagnosed a fixed the issue within 15 minutes.

If you want honest, quality service... I highly recommend Grand Canyon Refrigeration. Martin Youwanes is a man of integrity.

I will definitely call him for all future AC and Heating needs.

I had Martian

I had Martian every time we have needed anything. He is very honest, nice, very good at explaining what he is doing and what is needed. I have recommended him to all of my friends and family members. He comes once a year and does the maintenance on our unit that he installed 4 years ago. Would definitely recommend him to anyone needing this kind of service! We are customers for life!( or as long as he is working)

Put in a call last year with my home warranty company and they sent me someone that made a mess of my ac.  Home warranty called in the help of Martin and he fixed me up the next day.  Called Martin this year, returned my call within the hour. He went over my expectations and text me the next day to check on things to see if I needed help, which I ended up needing. Thank you Martin.

First to respond to setting up appointment for quote request. Upon inspection of our home and current unit, he gave a quote for a reasonable unit that would get the job done. We asked about a bigger and more efficient(17seer) unit, he got a revised quote out to me very quickly, with no additional increase for multiple items he added to the invoice, cutting out a new return being one of them.

No other quotes came anywhere close to his price and quality of unit(warranty length)/seers/etc). Martin was honest, straightforward and enjoyed discussing any questions or issues I had.

Martin is a no BS guy that follows through on his communication, scheduling, and pricing. From moment of quote request to install was 12 days. Job was completed in one day.

Martin with Grand Canyon is a compliment to his profession. Absolute professionalism and fair pricing. He was very clear with his communications and always responded in a timely manner. He installed our new Carrier heat pump on our roof and recapped the previous evap cooler opening since the old one was rusting. Everything looks great. I will be using them again in the future!

Our heater stopped working mid-winter. Martin came out to work on it next day. He's very friendly and knowledgeable regarding our unit. He was very honest regarding the work needed and went the extra mile to work on our unit to ensure it worked properly for us. Our A/C went out when we had family visiting from out of town on a sweltering 108 degree day and I panicked! I called Martin and he was able to come to our house right away. He fixed our unit promptly and literally saved the day. He was very professional and friendly and gave us some helpful tips for maintenance throughout the year. I definitely recommend Martin for your A/C needs. We will use him for any of our future service needs.

Martin recently replaced our 20-year-old AC unit. He was responsive to our questions, honest, friendly, and professional, with competitive prices. Martin was so wonderful to work with.  I contacted him via yelp last week and he wrote back within minutes and within a day we had aligned on a scheduled time for him to come out for a service call.  He was exceptionally prompt which is of utmost importance to me.  He was thorough, checking out all of my units fully and only found one item that needed replacement which was completed in a few minutes. I felt his price was extremely fair for his time and expertise.  I recommend him fully for your heating and A/C needs and am happy I found such a great professional!

I will not let anyone else service my heating and a/c.  The first time I met Martin, he fixed a problem that everyone else ignored.  He recently came out and did a tune up before the summer heat hits and recommended some additional work to save me money down the road.  He is professional, tells you exactly what he is going to do, what it will cost and how much time it will take.   He is a busy guy in the summer so don't get upset with him if he can't rush right over or turns down the job, but if you can wait for him it will be worth it.

Martin doesn't provide good customer service and is trying to make more money on a repair then actually fixing the issue.  He wanted to replace entire system in lieu of just replacing the part. Another reputable Company replaced the part and all is fine. Be careful for scammers

AC started going out in the Middle of June. Not a good time to be without AC got multiple bids and through a referral got sent to Martin at Grand Canyon.  He looked at my other bids and immediately was able to show me how the other techs weren't being completely honest with me. Their bids simply told me the brand name, not the SEER level or the model number. He explained how important it is for me to have all this info before making any decisions then have me a quote which matched up with the other companies but was a higher seer level, had a longer warranty and was completely up front with model numbers I could verify on the machines when they're installed. I felt he was the most honest of all the techs I'd worked with. Day of install they arrived early, worked late even in crazy hot afternoons and always cleaned up after themselves. I love my new units. They're soo quiet but I love the piece of mind that the job was done well and from an honest company that will back their work for year to come.

Martin with Grand Canyon Refrigeration has been taking care of my 19 yo A/C unit for 3 years now. He is always here when he says he's going to be and only fixes what needs fixing. He is personable w/o talking too much and cleans ups after himself. Highly recommend him!! I know you'll be happy

VERY NICE guys but don't seem to want big jobs.  Our home warranty company sent them to us.  I think they probably came to our house before they even got the work order from the home warranty company.  But when they saw the problem, they determined it was too big for them.  My friend who works for an HVAC company is Northern California said, too big is code for I don't want the job.  I figured as much based on other reviews about this company.  That's unfortunate.  If you don't want the work, don't waste the time coming out.  It's 95 degrees in my house and I am on day 3 of no AC.

Martin was awesome! He came out on a Saturday afternoon and after checking the outside unit and the attic unit, he determined we needed a new thermostat. After installing the new thermostat he went outside, with us, to show us how we can clean  the coils on our condensing unit to help extend the life of the coils and the fan motor. Thank you Martin we really appreciated you coming out on a Saturday afternoon and getting our A/C up and running.

When our AC stopped working  yesterday we called our warranty company to have it looked at and repaired. I was told it may take up to five days to have someone come out and with a toddler and newborn we just couldn't do that in the middle of summer. I explained our situation and fidelity called and scheduled an appointment with Grand Canyon Refrigeration for the next day.  Marcos was slammed with jobs for the day and when he had one that fell thru he called to see if he could come right then instead of us waiting until the next day. We were relieved when he showed up and diagnosed our problem within ten minutes, our motor had gone out. Marcos was thorough and explained everything he did and troubleshooted with. He not only came back the same day with the part we needed, he came back within the hour despite other calls he still needed to attend after. Our new motor was installed and our house cooled down in such a quick timeframe. Thank you for your haste and attention to detail when we were in dire need! We appreciate it!!

I can not say enough about how happy I am with Martin's service!! We have been having trouble with our unit for some time, since last summer actually. Our landlord has a home warranty company, which after 10 years of working in the HVAC industry office, I know it's a pain to deal with. Other company's would come out and not work on the unit because it was not currently in distress. Martin called me, listened to my issues and concerns and reassured me he would actually do something with my unit. He came to my home while i was at work and did everything he said he would. He kept me informed every step of the way, he sent me pictures and called me several times. When he left my unit was finally working like it should!! I am so grateful that my 7 kids and 4 dogs no longer have to suffer through the times of the ac not working!!! Thank you Martin, you are very appreciated!

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Grand Canyon A/C and Martin.  They were called out by our warranty company yesterday am and came within a few hours.  They worked with Trane and Fidelity and had the repair done the same day.  Martin and his crew were professional, quick and got the job done!  I'm very impressed!

One of our units stopped producing cool air last night so this morning we were eager to find someone to come out & take a look. My husband called Grand Canyon around 6 am but decided not to leave a message & try another company. He calls another company/ left a message & as soon as he did the phone rings & it's a gentleman named Martin from Grand Canyon. He called back despite us not leaving a message to see if we needed anything. My husband explained our issue & just like that we were on his radar to come by & check out our AC unit. He was texting/calling letting us know when he would arrived throughout the morning as he was on other jobs which we appreciated.  Approx 1130am he arrived & by 1230 he was done. We needed a new capacitor & there was a loose connection within our unit. He gave us tips on what to look out for & how often service should be done. Pricing was very reasonable as well. Overall this was great service & would definitely recommend & use them again. Also, in case you're wondering- the other company called us back after Martin was already here working.

My A/C went out on July 3rd at 8am and my home warranty company (Fidelity) contracted Grand Canyon Refrigerator to help. Martin was at our house within two hours of my call to the warranty company.

Martin had the a/c running within 15 minutes and gave us some sound advice on the air filters we were using.

Great company and great service by Martin!

Every other company is untrustworthy in comparison I have never experienced such a high level of honesty and help from an AC company. I will never use another company again.  I had an incredible experience the service was prompt and very informative. No complaints whatsoever.

I used Grand Canyon after putting in in a repair request with my home warranty company.  Initially Tatum Air was supposed to come out but they never showed.  Luckily, our next service attempt was with Grand Canyon.  Martin came out on a Sunday (on time) and quickly took care of my needs.  He didn't try to sell me any extras or up grades.  He did offer advice on newer units I may want to consider in the future.  If/when I decide to make a change Martin will be the guy I call.

After having a couple lower quality AC companies (via my home warranty) try and fix my AC unit, Grand Canyon came out and found errors that other companies have made. Martin is a great technician and I highly recommend him and Grand Canyon.

My A/C went out last week and the tech from the company sent out to repair it was a first-class jerk. When I thought there may still be issues with my unit, I called my home warranty company ( Fidelity) and asked for a different company. That's when Martin from Grand Canyon Refrigeration called me back. He came over to my house early in the morning (arriving much earlier than anticipated which was fine with me!) ... and diagnosed the issue. He explained how my unit needed to work and that the humidity was causing some of the issues with my new repair. At any rate, he was prompt, professional and extremely knowledgeable. While I hope I don't have any more issues with my AC, if I do, I'm calling on Martin and Grand Canyon Refrigeration to get the job done fast! I highly recommend this company.

I've dealt with quite a few AC companies in town and this is by far the best one. Same day appointment, right on time, fixed the problem, reasonable price, accepts credit card and gave me tips to have my old AC last a little longer. A+++

Excellent service! Called this morning around 9am, was told they would have someone out between 10 and 1 today. The tech was here by 10:15 and all work done within an hour! I had feared a costly repair, after it was all said and done with it was 1/2 what I had planned for. No pressure and no telling me I needed this or that done. If you need HVAC call GrandCanyon!

Imagine my fear when I arrived home from work expecting to enter my cool house from the 110* temperature and it is over 84*!!!!  Since it was after 7 pm there was no hope to get anyone out to look at my system. I went out to see if I could do anything to make it work. Fortunately I was able to get it to run for an hour or so, just enough to cool the house below 80* before it kicked off again. I contacted my home warranty company and they set up a work order with Grand Canyon Refrigeration. Once I got the contact information I called at 8:30 pm on the off chance that I might get an answer. I did not but I was able to leave a voice mail about my situation. Since the sun had set I had that working in my favor so I worked to get the unit running again. Once again it started and ran for a little while. I was able to sleep in a coolish house!!!!!!  GCR didn't open until 7 am but my phone rang at 6:35 am!!!!  Martin was calling to see what my issue was. After my explanation he said he would head right over!!!!!! He was at my house by 7 am and diagnosed the problem. He was well prepared to repair the unit and had it running in less than half an hour. He was very thorough and professional. What a relief it is to have stellar service!!!  I would recommend Grand Canyon Refrigeration for all your air conditioning needs!

I called my Home Warranty company (AHS) this morning because my A/C was hesitating to start up and I saw the thermostat start to rise. Before it got any worse, I knew I needed someone to fix it! Luckily, the warrantee company contracts with Grand Canyon Refrigeration!! Martin called me within an hour after my call to AHS. He happened to be in my neighborhood on other jobs so he fit me into his schedule. He came out only 2 hours after my initial call!! On a Holiday!! (4th of July). He was very friendly, pleasant, and professional. He wasnt like the other companies that I've had out here to fix my A/C over the years (other guys have been jerky salesmen and pretended to know about what they were doing). Martin not only fixed my issue, he found that prior repairmen had put unnecessary parts onto my a/c unit!  I would trust him to fix my a/c if anything happened again. Highly recommend!

This is the second time I've used Grand Canyon Refrigeration services for my ac repair.  I was very happy with the services Martin provided the first time and wanted to use his services again. My ac was blowing hot air and I called Martin on Thursday afternoon.  He told me he will give me a call back to schedule an appointment when he gets the work order and will check his schedule, and more than likely it will be Saturday morning due to his busy schedule with other customers.  I was find with that because we are in the middle of summer and they have very hectic schedule, so I wasn't expecting the same day or the next day service.  He gave me a call on next morning and says that he will be in my area and if I was available he will stop by to check on my ac unit.  About one hour or so he came, took my unit apart and found the problem and fixed it. I was very happy with his service once again.  I highly recommend him for your heating and Air Conditioning needs.  Nice guy and great to talk with and he will answer all your questions you have.  Thank you Martin.

Called our home warranty company b/c our AC unit went out...in July...in AZ...so it was kind of an emergency, especially since we had kids in our home and my wife has a home office she works out of. Fidelity was very nice, they said I could call Grand Canyon Refrigeration directly if it was an emergency situation to try to expedite the process. I called the #, but instead of someone answering with some type of greeting such as, 'Hello, this is Grand Canyon Refrigeration, how can I help you?' I get someone who just answered with 'Hello?' a couple times so I thought I had actually called someone's personal cell phone in error. Turns out it was the right number, but you would've never been able to tell. The guy acted like I was putting him out b/c it was 90+ degrees in our house and we needed A/C service ASAP. I at least would've liked to get an idea of when I could expect someone...same day, later that afternoon/evening, next day, next week- SOME indication would've been nice. Instead, I was simply told in a very gristly/gruff manner that i would be called when he was ready. COMPLETELY turned off by this type of response and lack of desire to even try to put me at ease as far as to when I could expect someone- so much so that I called my home warranty company back and requested a new company be assigned this work order. I will NEVER be using this company in the future, I wish there was a 0 star rating, I hate to even give them a single star.
