Tanner is the door technician we had that installed our door and he is fantastic! Tanner communicates in a timely manner and is professional in his manner. He is very knowledgeable about door installation and repair. We really appreciate his expertise.

Do not trust these people! We had a sliding patio door installed by them and it turned out to be real crap. The quality of the door is bad, and the installer did not square up the door so the screen and sliding door has a gap at the top when it's closed, and there's no amount of tweaking the rollers to get the doors to close properly.
In addition, the door they installed is smaller than the old door frame, and they wanted to charge us an extra $300 to to have their stucco guy come out to fill in the 2 gap around the frame.
We found them to be nothing but shysters.

First of all there is smoke and mirrors with this company.  They have one logo, one website and two addresses on Yelp in the Phoenix metro area.  One is in Scottsdale and one in Phoenix.  However I have been dealing with one in Tempe. So who is whom?

I wished to replace my front-entry doors, which are wooden double-doors. I wanted them replaced with wrought-iron double-doors. I found an out-of-state manufacturer with very special doors at attractive prices. I used ThumbTack to get referrals of door installers in the Phoenix area and ProStar Doors came up as a match. I contacted their office manager, Tanya Mucci, and explained the above to her and asked if they installed wrought-iron doors. She said yes. She then asked a salesperson, Don Benner, to come to my home to make measurements and give a quote. I explained the above to Mr. Benner.

Mr. Benner arrived on May 10th and made door measurements. I showed him the door I wanted to order and told him that I needed to know how much wiggle-room they wanted. Doors are typically made a half-inch smaller so that you can insert them in the opening for the door. Mr. Benner quickly shifted gears and tried to sell me his doors instead. These were twice as expensive as the ones I wanted and were very plain. I told Mr. Benner that I wanted to order the door that I had found on my own. He said he would ask the installer how much wiggle-room he wanted so I could order the door.

3 days pass and I heard nothing. I contacted Tanya on May 13th and asked her if she knew anything. She only said Mr. Benner was out sick for the past 3 days and she knew nothing. 5 more days go by and nothing. I contacted her again and she said Mr. Benner had COVID but was working on getting the owner involved and they will contact me.

On May 19th Mr. Benner e-mailed to say they were turning down the job because his installer lacked the skills to do the job. Apparently he has the skills to install his company's own doors but not others even though the doors are the same size and material. And his company was told from the get-go what the project was. Even worse, neither Mr. Benner nor the staff informed me that he had COVID and we were exposed! Irresponsible company! It's all about money. They want the profit from selling you their doors and aren't content with the profit from the installation alone. And they exposed me and many other customers to COVID and didn't have the decency to tell us so we could get tested and take action. And they wasted two weeks of my time and lied to me about their reasons. Why didn't they tell me right away that they can't install these doors? They can but simply used that as their excuse.

This company uses bait and switch tactics to try and swindle folks. 2300.00 to install 3 doors was a bit high but I felt they would do a great job. Fast forward 5 weeks. No doors installed and the owner stopped by, looked at the doors and then refused to do the contracted work. Forget that my deposit was cashed immediately. Later that day John called for the owner to let me know they would do the For another grand beware of this shady businessman.

Pro-Star Doors honored their contract and executed the installation of my interior doors, trim and base boards expertly.
Susie was very proficient and professional in communication.  Because  of circumstances beyond the control of the company Susie and Ray both were very hands on and went the extra mile in getting the job done above and beyond my expectations.  I highly recommend this company and will use them again for other anticipated needs.

ProStar doors quickly answered my phone call for installation of French doors in my office which had barn doors They came out within that week gave us options for the doors and a price quote This was followed within two weeks with exact measurements Two weeks later Tanner the installer came and put in the French doors quickly and in a professional courteous manner Since trimmings were not right type and a frosted glass over the French door was not ordered we waited another two weeks and he completed the job Tanner did an excellent job in installation ProStar's like most door installers will not paint those doors
In general they dud a good job and kept me informed of the costs and timeline for repair

This company is out to rob you. They look very professional and get back to you quick on thumbtack. They send in a sales rep telling you about all the amazing things this company has done. I don't really care if you built the empire state building let alone did all the windows. Try to upsell you on everything that is apparently wrong in your home. The cost was 850 dollars, and after seeing other reviews that seems to be the regular rate. Which is regardless of the actual work that needed to be done. They over promised and definitely under delivered. Took half the payment up front, said the job could be done by Friday. Needless to say that didn't happen, Tanner came out to measure and finished the job within a couple screws.

We were suppose to get a couple screen doors, and its been 1 month haven't heard a thing!!! At this point we reported fraud and will be taking our business elsewhere.

I highly recommend never using this company!!!!!!!!!

I highly recommend ProStar Doors for multiple reasons...they were the only company to pick up the phone when I called as opposed to all other listings putting up personal phone #s that were never answered. The lady I spoke with was extremely nice and set up a free estimate appt immediately. ProStar was on time for all appointments and did not oversell me at any point. When all said and done Tanner with ProStars did a fantastic job with the fix. At the end of the day i was charged a very fair price. Very professional and organized business and will only use them moving forward.

The salesman came out. I selected a product.  He took preliminary measurements and said the installer would return to take final measurements.  The installer came out, very nice guy, took all the measurements, listen to what all I wanted and also made some suggestions. He measured windows and patio door for new screens. We agreed. That was beginning of November. I called first of December to check on doors. Doors on back order. Called again, doors available but not the mesh screen in the color I chose. Opted to wait for correct screens.  Called beginning of January.  Still no screens. Company offered to install doors with a different color screen and return to swap out mesh screen when they came in. Offered me $500 off to do that. I agreed.  Scheduled the install. When guy arrived he wanted to take another set of measurements. He discovered the doors were the wrong size. He also told me that the new door/locks we discussed were not included with the delivery, nor were my screens and patio door screen. In order to make the door fit he would have to remove all of the outer material that the current doors sit inside, damaging the stucco, which they did not repair.  So I would have new doors not sitting in a frame. I would be in my own to find some one who could install and fix that as well as my stucco and paint. He called the office and at that time was told the doors I selected were not customizable. They only came in standard sizes. Say what?  Then why did I order custom made doors?????  At that point I asked for a refund. I also notified the company via email that I wanted a refund of my deposit. I heard nothing, so I called. In fact I called four times in one day until someone answered the phone. Come to learn the person was in their California office.  Phoenix office in training but no one in it could think to put that into an answering message!!!!  I did get a call back the next day and I explained again that I wanted a refund. I believe this was a Tuesday and I was assured the check would go out in the mail before the end of the week. Susie the phone person who is very nice said she would personally walk it to the post office.  Well two weeks later, no refund. I called and no one answered their phones. I left a message starting I was willing to drive to their location to pick up my check. I have not heard a peep--no call back. All I want is my deposit back. I have since decided to go with another company who is more expensive but manufacturers custom doors on sight.

This company was recommended by a friend. They sent the sale rep John out to my house and he was very polite and seem like he was very interested in getting me into what I wanted. I decided to go ahead and hire them to do 4 windows and a french door. The price they gave me at first was really good. But when they came out to confirm the job and for me to sign paperwork they increased the price around $1500. The sales rep also didnt even remember coming over nor remember the quote he gave me. So I told him to leave and advised him I'll be going with another company.

I reached out through Thumbtack to Prostar Doors regarding my double doors to my master bedroom not locking.  The flush mount wasn't working properly and hadn't for years.

On April 13th, Ray, messaged me asked for my location, phone number and notified me someone would be contacting me to set up a time to view the job.

After some back and forth with Susie, we settled on an appointment for Friday, April 17 between 10 am - 12.  John showed up and said they would need to replace the astragal on the door along with a new flush bolt mount.  The quote was for $875.00.  I put down a payment for $437.50 with the balance to paid at install, which was set-up for Wednesday, April 23, 2020.

Today, April 20th, I called to move my Wednesday appointment to later in the day and Susie informed me, Tanner would be stopping by to look at the door and see if any if the astragal samples they had would work.

Tanner texted me at 2:30 pm and said he was about 25 minutes out.  Tanner showed up about 3 pm.  He came in, took one look at the door and he said do you mind if I take out the flush bolt?  Told him, not at all.  Within minutes he said, your door is fine, the flush bolt is adjustable and had just fallen.  He said I will put caulk on the seams so it doesn't move again and you will be all set.  He said I will notify the office of the change and then they can just charge you the $80 service fee. He was in and out of our home in less than 15 minutes.  We now have locking doors!

Susie called at 3:30 pm and said she had heard from Tanner.  Susie went on to explain, they do charge a $300 service fee and would refund the difference.  I was NEVER quoted a $300 fee just to step inside my home.  If I had been, I would have said NO.  This amount is ridiculous!

I appreciate Tanner's honesty and fixing our door with no hassle. I am not sure why he wasn't sent out to begin with. I am contacting cooperate.

We had a garage service door replaced by this company. Tanner came out and did a great job. Called on the way over, showed up when he said he was going to, and took his time to make sure our door was installed correctly. We went with something that will not rot or warp as it's a composite material. We are very happy with our purchase.

their quotes are VERY high, and they only upsell without listening to the customer AT ALL. also the guy who came out to do the estimate was wearing a mask, but it wasn't covering his nose, which is unacceptable. hard pass.

ProStar Doors (Karla) was very responsive and stayed in communication with me.  They never left me waiting and wondering.  They were able to assist me with payment options (Jon).  The installer (Tanner) was so quick and went the extra mile to replace what he didn't like on my sliding glass door (lose door handle, wheel adjustment) and even gave me door 101.  I like that this company doesn't have a script for customer service...places that do this forget the task at hand....and because ProStar Doors doesn't, they get the job done and they do it right!  These are real people earning a living like the rest of us and do a dang good job at what they do across the board.

Tanner, who completed all the work was very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. He did a great job. I had a window replaced, a garage door threshold replaced along with some minor repair on a self closing sliding glass door. On the initial visit, the employees did also proactively offer to wear a mask prior to entering the house due to Covid-19. Overall, I was satisfied with the work completed.

Would NOT recommend. I found this company with Home Advisor. The sales team called me once to schedule an appointment and stated they would call me back that day and did not. Two days later they called again to schedule so I thought I would give them a shot. The sales rep came out on a Friday evening to quote 5 new closet doors and two exterior door repairs. He took measurements and said he would have the quote to me that night. No quote that night or weekend. I followed up the next week and left a voicemail from  my cellphone- no call back. I called from another business number a day later just to see if the sales representative would answer and he did. He stated he would send me the quote...still no quote. I felt like this would have been a big job for the company so I am not sure why they did not want my business? If they were not interested in the job the representative of the company should have the respect and professionalism to say so. I would NOT recommend this company.

Tanner was awesome in fixing my sliding door. Service was great, although the company is a bit overpriced. Susie is great to work with. Highly recommend.

We had been needing to put a set of French doors in our older home for years and while we got other quotes we are really so happy we went through ProStar. They took the time, not only to properly assess the custom job but were meticulous about doing it right. Doors are not easy when you have a non-standard size opening. All in all they overdelivered and the results are absolutely perfect. Other companies made it sound easy when I knew it was not. We will be going with ProStar from now on.

During the course of a full home remodel we were in need of two splash panels for a walk in shower. Ray responded to our request on Thumbtack and came out to view our project. Ray informed me that when he measures for the job he will use a laser measuring system for pinpoint accuracy at manufacture and install and quoted me a price that was roughly 20% higher than any of the other quotes we had received. I let Ray know that we were getting multiple quotes and that his was quite higher than the rest, at this time Ray turned on his smarmy salesman charm and attempted to have me sign a contract then and there along with allowing to him take the measurements that day. I was unappreciative of the pushy sales tactics and told him we would review our options and get back to him. Later that day Ray emailed me with an updated quote with a lower price that was more in line with our others yet still somewhat pricier than the other quotes we had received. Despite the smarmy sales tactics we decided to hire ProStar because we figured the laser measurements would be worth the extra cost to ensure an exact fit, a decision my wife and I would later regret. Ray came out and measured and supplied a contract that stated the install would take place 2-4 weeks after the signed contract but Ray assured me it is typically closer to 2 weeks than 4. After three weeks of waiting, with no communication from ProStar my wife called Susie on her cell phone for a status update. At that time Susie said she was driving and would have to return my wife's call when she got back to the office. This return phone call was neglected and never took place. After a day or two I called Susie for a status update and was informed that the glass panels would be in the following Friday with the intention of installing them the next day on Saturday. However, on Friday I received a phone call from Ray stating that the glass panels were manufactured incorrectly, so much for laser precision. At this time Ray's smarmy salesman appeared again, instead of working with the manufacturer to correct the issue Ray suggested that he send his installers out anyways and that they can notch my tile and tile trim so that the glass panels would fit. I of course disagreed with this option as I didn't want any cuts to my newly tiled shower and requested that instead of dealing with notching the tile or trim, why not just make the panels slightly smaller to avoid the trim issue in the first place. Ray agreed with this idea and stated he would come out the next day on Saturday to remeasure. Not only did Ray not show up for the remeasure, he didn't even have the common courtesy to call and say he wouldn't be coming. On Monday I text Ray asking when he was planning on coming out to remeasure to which he responded that there was no reason to come remeasure as he decided to order the glass 3/8's of an inch smaller. The issue with this is that I took a picture of the trim, measured with my own tape measure showing Ray that the trim was actually 5/8's thick, a full 1/4 of an inch larger than his guesstimate. Ray reordered the glass with MY measurement instead. The following Friday I received a call from Susie letting me know that the glass panels were in and that she would like to have them installed that Saturday (almost SIX weeks from the contract date) between 730/8 AM. I said this was fine as long as she gave us a call 30 mins before arriving so that we could corral the dogs and be out of our Master Bedroom before they got here. Unsurprisingly I did receive a phone call prior, but it was when Susie and the installers were at my front door not the 30 minutes prior as she had promised. With all of the above being said, the installers that showed up were professional, courteous and did an excellent job with the install. So my take aways from this experience are: 1. Ray's initial quotes are high and soft, if you press him he will come down but will probably still be higher than most. 2. Be prepared to wait a LONG LONG time to have your shower glass installed. 3. Dont expect any sense of customer service or respect for your time from Ray or Susie, you will receive neither. So... if you're willing to deal with all of that and pay a higher price for your shower doors than ProStar, Ray and Susie are your company.
