Bird Glass

I worked with Bird Glass some time ago on my historic home. For each job that I need to hire a professional for, I usually end up speaking to 100-250 companies because 80% of the time my calls go straight to voicemail and no one returns my calls.

Bird Glass was the *only* company that helped me restore a picture frame window in the front of my home, providing tremendous relief to an otherwise nerve-wracking home security issue.

There are a handful of companies in the valley that you will be lucky to find who have a combination of straight-forward business dealing, excellent pricing, and who can get the job done where you will be satisfied. Bird Glass is one of those rare companies.

For reference, I have spoken to or called over 1,000 contractors and businesses within the last 5 years. This is how important it is to work with Bird Glass--you'll be hard pressed to find a better business. What they provide is found in less than 1% of similar businesses in the Phoenix metro area.

I called Israel back in August 2022 for window screens, and paid him a deposit. And here we are in the middle of January with no window screens. I've called him many times and keep getting the run around. I would avoid doing business with him because as I've found I am not the only one he's done this to. Keep an eye out for a news segment because im going to make sure he doesn't do this to anyone.

Israel is kind and does quality work. His install went very well and the product is perfect. However, he has opportunity on how he follows up on requests and timing for communication. I really wanted to support this small business. Technically, I had a second project he was supposed to start, but never got back to me. This rating is more of a reflection of the communication gaps.

Israel was wonderful! Very communicative and fair pricing. I had a shower door waiting at my home that needed to be installed and he was happy to oblige. Other companies quoted me almost double what he charged. The work is professional and he did a great job. Don't think twice on hiring this dependable business owner. I'll definitely be calling him for all of my future window and door needs

Unfortunately, I have found the service levels of Bird Glass and Israel to be poor at best.  I understand delays because of product shortages, I understand repairs to previously installed products don't receive the same attention as new jobs. What I can not deal with is multiple and when I say multiple I mean 7 times I was promised that someone will be out to fix a leak in the shower installed, just a few months ago.  Israel has said he will be at the house and was a no show. But more than that no even giving the courtesy of letting me know that he wont be able to show. We all have busy lives, we all have jobs and understand when things come up. What is the challenge is the constant telling me he will be there and not showing.  It effects my schedule it effects my wife's schedule.  The lack of consideration and concern for my time is uncalled for.

I was desperate for help when I contacted companies to help me.  My glass shower door was dragging on the tile below it.
Israel responded to my cry out for help among other companies on yelp.  He was even texting me on Sunday to set up an appointment for Monday morning.
His price was very reasonable, he arrived a few minutes early which was great.  He showed me how he could quickly and efficiently fixed my shower glass enclosure.  He is intelligent, honest, is experienced and knows what he is doing.  He added sealant to protect my tile and I didn't even know I was missing it.  
I highly recommend Israel.

I was referred to Isreal and Bird glass from a contractor friend. I would echo other people's comments that communication is a challenge. I had to call him a week after we were scheduled for install to remind/reconfirm. The install went ok but was not sealed properly. For 6 weeks I called and texted Isreal to complete the job. He didn't respond for 3 weeks and then scheduled a time and he no showed and didn't call. He didn't respond for another 3 weeks and then we finally scheduled a time and he AGAIN no showed and no call. Throughout this time we couldn't take a shower without water getting all over our floor. I finally had to call another company to fix and finish the job. I like supporting small businesses but I also want to get what I pay for. Isreal - very disappointed as I was hoping to give you a strong endorsement.

Needed  A back glass sliding door repaired after weed whacker incident.  Was the 1st to  Respond and the least expensive .  Wasted no time making sure he has the right glass and installed in about an hour and a 1/2.
