Overson Roofing

Had a couple dozen or so tiles get damaged from a recent storm. Before contacting Overson, many companies told me they would not come out and do a repair unless they were the original installers of my roof.  Overson took the small job and When it's time to get a new roof I know where to go. They did a good job and got me on the schedule fairly quickly.

I hired Overson after getting 2 bids for my new roof. Overson wasn't the least expensive however, Thomas seemed the most honest & professional. Everything was great except my HOA gardener said that the new roof doesn't have the bird stops anymore. This is a problem being I live in the desert where there are more birds than rocks. I called Overson & they said they would have Thomas call me to no avail. I've left 3 messages, still no call. The bottom line is they now won't put the bird stops back & they never told me or gave me the option to pay more to have this done. After paying 21,000 for a new roof (for a 1900 sq ft townhome) you would think they would have been more informative.
Super disappointed.

Re-roofed 1,200 sq ft house.   In 2 days .  I did not care if they would have taken longer.  Looks great.

They came out and worked harder than almost any one reading this has ever worked.
They did an excellent job.
Only 4 star's because the price is 15% higher than any other bids taken.
Another unfortunate problem is the roof looks so good the house looks to need new windows and updated paint.
Seriously, the price is high but you get what you pay for is a real thing.

NEGATIVE STARS!!!!! waited a week for them to come out on an EXTREMELY important appointment for new roof replacement in Mesa. NO SHOW NO CALL BACK EVER LITERALLY NEVER no email nothing I left so many voicemails made us wait for a week for an urgent quote needed for roof replacement and this company lied. They never showed never answered a call never returned a voicemail TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE SHAMEFUL! I called on the 11/14 and they gave me a soonest appointment for 11/23. Took our business elsewhere and got the full roof replaced. With these business practices I doubt the company will be around much longer. Good thing we didn't end up using them if we needed their warranty they'd probably be MIA!

Over the decades I have hired dozens of contractors to work on my personal residencies. Due to a couple small leaks from the last rainstorm and age of the current roof I finally decided that it was time for a replacement. My criteria was to hire a company that had been in business for at least 10 years, was licensed and bonded, had at least a 4 star + customer review rating and an A- to A+ rating with the BBB. After a half dozen comprehensive bids I chose Overson. Mike the (Estimator/Salesperson) made an excellent presentation, Antonio and crew had an excellent work ethic and Beau the (Superintendent) stopped by all 3 days to keep me updated and informed. Their price was also very competitive with the others, except for one that was ridiculous. I have done very few reviews over the years except for the businesses that I have felt have gone above and  beyond expectations. They have earned all my future roofing business. If you are having roof issues I highly recommend you give these folks a call. You won't be disappointed.

Made appointment to replace tile roof on 4000 sf house. They didn't show up. I don't understand how they stay in business.

Overson Roofing was a great choice!  They were timely, they were professional, they were very personable, they were clean, they left me a roof that looked perfect.  It was a pleasure dealing with the office and the workers.  Bianca was wonderful.  I got to see photos of the entire roof.

Earlier this year we had Overson Roofing inspect our 10-year-old tile roof. There were some minor repairs needed which were performed quickly and professionally. They answered my questions about tile roof maintenance and longevity.

After the bad storm last month (September 2020) we noticed a concrete piece on a corner of the house had shifted out of place. Overson was out the next day to check our entire roof. No other problems were found and they repaired the corner piece at no charge.

We are more than pleased to have found Overson. Highly recommended.

e have used this company for many roofing issues that have cropped up in the seven years that we have owned this house. Some of the issues were genuine head scratchers, but these folks are true professionals and Leak Experts, they found each problem we brought them, and fixed them for good and for a reasonable cost. The workers were neat and professional, and the leadership was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. It's a family owned and run business, and you can see that in the work they do.  

This is the one contractor that I have gone through the bother of going to the BBB and putting a high rating for in my 20+ years as a homeowner. Highly recommend!!

Unhappy with my former roofing company, and after listening to the experience and expertise of Overson ownership on a past Rosie on the House broadcast, I decided to give these guys a chance.  I had water damage on some sections of decking that needed to be addressed before the next monsoon season.  Everything started out ok, but one business day prior to the materials being delivered, I called (to check in) and spoke with Bianca and she stated that ABC Roofing was behind on deliveries and would be delivering the day after the scheduled work.  I told her that I had scheduled the day off from work to be there for the start of the job and that this wasn't going to work for me.  So she told me the crew could just pickup the materials themselves and bring it with them.  Not sure why I had to call to find this out.  People work and I'm no exception, but she made it right.  Thank you!  (Side note: ABC showed up the day after the job with all the material and I had to turn them away.)  Once the job began, everything went smoothly with the exception of the language barrier between myself and the crew.  I called the estimator, Beau, and asked if there was an area supervisor that could drop by for me to express some concerns.  He sent Jose out, who was also somewhat hard to understand but we got through it and I had my concerns addressed.  They completed the entire back of the house in one long day and did about as well as can be expected with the cleanup, especially the nails (I helped throughout the day so it wasn't that bad).  And luckily, I covered the top of my AC unit with plywood because I found dried mortar on top of it where they mortared the ends of the ridge caps and the excess fell to the ground.  Would it have hurt anything?  Probably not, but no matter who you use, cover your AC unit if you're having work done on that side of the house.  All in all, they did a nice job and I'm satisfied!  There is a little painting to be done on and around the new flashing and undersides of the new decks (under the soffits) but it's minimal.  Thanks Overson, and thanks to your crew!

Overson Roofing did a great job on our roof.  Our roof hadn't been replaced in a while and they did an excellent job.

Our roof was torn up by the Monsoon in Sept and we scheduled for October.  Overson completed the roofing replacement in between two big storms and completed the job in three days. They replaced sections of wood on the roof as well as installed CertainTeed Landmark shingles we requested. The estimate was clear and concise, priced well and they helped add in the items we needed such as a roof ridge vent. The cleanup was good as well as the workmanship.  The roof looks great and held up in the storms immediately after they completed.

Each part of dealing with Overson was professional from quote to payment.  The only thing I would improve is a more digital/online/email/text based invoice and status update service as the invoices were hard copies with no digital invoices etc.  Other than that the communication was great and pleasant which is not always the case with Arizona roofing companies.

I would highly recommend Overson Roofing and will use them again in the future.

We have used Overson Roofing over the past 15 years just for minor repairs.  It was time to replace our roof of 22 years.  We decided on Overson because of past experiences.  We were so glad to go with them on the new roof.  They did a first class job.  Showed up every day and never stopped working.  Their price included things that other companies wanted to charge extra for.  Every night they cleaned up the driveway before leaving and at the end of the job cleaned up everything.
Their supervisor checked in every day to see if there were any concerns. What more could you ask for.  We were super please with the job they did.  First Class all the way.

The person providing estimate showed up and was instantly rude and completely unprofessional. I received quotes from several companies and Oversons was by far the highest. Unless you are looking for poor service with high prices check with another company.

An update.. I submitted a copy of the receipt from our painter who painted the flashing and Overson sent a check covering it!

The crew from Overson Roofing did a marvelous job installing our new roof. They completed the installation in 2 DAYS!. The price was very competitive and there were no surprises when we settled up.
That was a hard working crew and everything was completely satisfactory. Way to go, guys.

I was very happy with Overson Roofing. I needed a new tile roof and got three bids from licensed companies with A+ ratings. All three were recommended from Angie's List and Rosie on the House. Overson offered me the best deal and I'm very happy with the work.

Just had our roof underlay, flashing and new updated code required roof edging done by Overson Roofing, LLC.  The entire process was a pleasure.  Their estimator, Mike, came out on the date/time promised and went through the explanation of our roofing needs and HOA requirements with expertise, honesty and professionalism that convinced us that this was the company for us. Bianca, their scheduler, kept us updated on shipment and let us know beforehand each step of our project.  Mike, their estimator, even came out prior to our re-roof job, on Christmas Eve, to remove loosely hanging edge tiles that were a dangerous hazard to our arriving guests . Supervisor Beau & crew foreman Victor worked closely with us to ensure that the new drip edge was not only prepainted close to our HOA approved color, but also brought the materials out early, so we could add a second coat in the exact required color the weekend before our install.  Their roofing crew worked harder and longer than any maintenance/remodel team we've ever encountered during our 30 year residency in this home. Work began each day at the agreed upon time and workers stayed actively working until sunset to be sure the roof was left secure and impervious to any forecasted inclement weather.  One worker, Spencer, went out of his way to paint exposed flashing to match the roof at our request and foreman, Victor, was both instructive and amenable in helping us choose the best placement for the new tiles required during the process.  The team did such an artistic job, we feel confident few neighbors will ever be able to see the difference between the original and replaced tiles the were required.  Thanks, again, to your company for an excellent and pleasant experience.  Sincerely, Joe and Marilu

I've never had to call on a roofer before, but I'm glad I contacted Overson. Charlie assessed the situation quickly, and I wasn't charged through the nose for the simple fixes he made. Very unprofessional! I scheduled an estimate meeting 2 weeks ago for today between 10 am and noon.  My roof is 7 year old roof (replaced by them) and it's leaking in my dining room through a light fixture. I receive a call at 10:12 am today by a female employee stating that she has bad news. I was told that the estimator is running severely behind due to his truck breaking down and they asked me to reschedule with them for Monday. Unable to reschedule, I was left with no option for an appointment today. I don't appreciate getting a call during my appointment window time asking to reschedule for next week! I left the office at 9:30 am to be home and took the remainder of the day to work from home when I really wanted to be in the office. If this is how they treat me during the consultation appointment, I can be left to wonder how they will treat me during service appointments! Bad business Overson!

Absolutely horrendous. They are extremely loud and very slow. Do yourself a favor and go get someone else to do your roof. Terrible

I contacted Overson roofing for a roofing issue at my workplace.They came out, said they would do a thorough inspection and provide an estimate.That was last month.  Crickets ever since.  No estimate emailed, mailed, faxed, dropped off,  phoned in, sent by either delivery service,  telegram, text, morse code, pony express, carrier pidgeon or smoke signals. Tried phoning them two weeks later after their appointment.  They indicate their hours are until 5:00 pm, but the phones went unanswered after ringing and ringing (guessing they closed up shop early since it was Friday afternoon).   So,  I left a follow up message inquiring as to the status.  Call was never returned.  Initially found them on a website that indicates they vetted  companies they list. Overson may be licensed, bonded and insured, but by all appearances, they don't know how to run a reputable business.  OVERSON? OVER-Rated. OVER done, OVER them......OVER and Out!

I work in property management so work with multiple roofing companies. During a recent rain storm I had a report of a roof leak that required multiple quotes. Overson provided a fair price and detailed report so we hired them. The communication with Emily was exceptional and they kept in contact with me during the entire process. Will definitely be bumping Overson Roofing up to the top of my vendor list.

Thank you for repairing our roof! It was done just in time before this last rainstorm too :) I had a great experience with Overson Roofing - they were extremely professional and called to confirm appointments and they kept us up to date on any weather delays that could push the repair back. Had our roof leak in 2 places after a heavy rainstorm. Overson Roofing came out and found both areas that water could enter. Gave us a fair price and scheduled the work in a timely manner. Showed up on the day promised and did an excellent job. Will definitely use them again.

So we were happy customers until today. 3 times Jenny sent me an incorrect invoice. I called twice to ask for a correct one.  It hasn't even been 30 days since the repair, and we just sent a check out.  Today I get a collection notice.  Jenni, if I wasn't going to pay, why would I call to tell you of your 1000 error? Perhaps a follow up email instead.

Fast in scheduling a quote, more than fair price and our entire new roof replacement was able to be scheduled inside of a week. Big thumbs up!

This is my second time using Overson Roofing and I couldn't be happier with the service they provide. It's nice to work with a company that is honest and is always striving to exceed my expectations. You willl not find a better roofing company out there.

Couldn't be more satisfied with the customer service that I received from Overson Roofing. These guys were great -- After a huge storm came through, I began to have leaks everywhere throughout my kitchen. I immediately called a few different roofing companies as I started to panic. Overson Roofing responded immediately and came within the hour to install a emergency tarp for me so that there were no further damages done in case other storms came our way -- which several did in the meantime before getting my roof repaired. These guys were so handy and helpful... Not only did they install an emergency tarp, the crew noticed a small hole in the roof causing a serious problem and without question temporarily patched it up for me so that no further damage could occur. From how quick these guys responded, their crew being top notch, and the GM that I spoke with... All around it was first class. Thank you Overson Roofing!

Such a bad experience with this company. From the subcontractors they hired to remove my roof who were horsing around and ended up falling through the exposed vent, to coming home to a hole in my living room ceiling and insulation everywhere, to not even getting a phone call warning me of what happened I had to walk into this mess, to the workers who were using my backyard as a restroom, to a man named Tracy who said that was our fault because I didn't have a restroom for the workers to have access to, to that same man Tracy who accused the roof fall to be my fault stating I had bad wood which I didnt, to the restoration company painting the patched area in a semi gloss paint when the rest of my ceiling was a flat paint, to having to ask for some kind of reimbursement for their mistakes. They ended up fixing everything and cleaned up everything and I asked for $1,000 off the cost of the roof being that I had to sleep elsewhere for 9 nights. They said the most they could do was $800 and asked me not to post any negative reviews. Yes, they ended up getting everything back to normal in my home, but man was it sure a headache getting there. I'd say if you decide to go with this roofing company, you better make sure someone is home while the work is being done.

I gave them three stars because the work was great, but getting to that point was less than pleasant. The guy who came out to give us a quote was decent, and we signed right then. We called later that afternoon to postpone the work due to a scheduling conflict for us. I get a call the day we had originally scheduled from my husband that he discovered a roofing crew on our house and 1/2 the roof ripped off. After a frantic call to the company they acknowledged the mistake was theirs and gave me the choice of having them finish the job or to put everything back they've done so far. They did offer us a discount for the screw-up, but only after I asked for it, hence the three stars.

Overson roofing did a great job on my roof. I had some tile damage, Overson did the repairs quickly and were very professional, after the roofer finished the work and leftt, his supervision came over and rechecked the work that was done. I was very impressed w/ this company.

What a great experience that I have had with Overson Roofing.  I needed some  minor repairs on my tile roof, and the original firm that did a major repair some years ago would not even return my calls.

I found Overson Roofing on ToFixIt.com and when I call them, they answered the phone promptly and professionally.  After a brief description of my roof problems, they scheduled an appointment to send out an estimator two days later.  The estimator showed up right on time and gave me a fair price.  I did not see any reason to get other estimates.  I accepted their price and they scheduled me for the following Monday.

The roofer that came to my home was prompt and courteous.  He showed me pictures of the tiles that needed to be repaired, which were taken by the estimator.  He then spent a few hours on the roof making the repairs, and then showed me pictures of the repairs that he made.

My house is about 24 years old, and I know that a major re-roof is in my future.  When that time comes, I will be calling Overson for that job, too!

From start to finish Overson was true to their word on our roof repair.  They showed up when they said they would and stuck to the estimate.  This estimate was $4,000 less than Ky Ko and they started the work in 2 weeks.  KyKo was 6 weeks out.  The walk thru they do after the job is finished is another layer of customer service and their care for quality work.  In our case they found 3 spots that he wasn't happy with and they are sending a crew out to correct.  Amazing customer service.

I had 3 estimates for the repair.  They were in the middle price wise, but I liked the way they approach the job. They pulled up tiles, took pictures, and told me honestly what needed to be done. The other companies guessed at what might be the problem. They were honest, reliable, and cleaned up after themselves. ( I did have plenty of dust inside from the work, which was my responsibility)  I would definitely recommend them to friends and foes alike.

Called for a small stain on my garage roof inside, was told he didn't go up in the attic, he  climbed on the roof moved one tile, did not do anything else. Did not put the tile back properly, had to ask him to go back up and fix it. Wrote an estimate for $1,000. You decide.

Well I guess we fell victim to not following the #1 rule of contracting; always get a minimum of 3 estimates.  After reading some of the reviews, we blindly signed on with Overson roofing to fix some leaks around our skylights and chimneys (after our last contractor went out of business and would not warranty his work).  In a nutshell, Overson had two young men spend about 1 hour spreading webbing and asphalt around our skylights and chimneys. The bill for that was $630.  Conservatively, that works out to about $250/hour.  Not a bad gig if you can get it...
ALWAYS get multiple estimates!

We got 5 estimates for our flat roof that needed foam over the back porch area and recoating on the whole roof (previously foamed by the previous homeowner).  Owner, Pat Overson, frankly discussed the options of 5 year coatings, 10 year coatings, and even gave me advise on how to do it myself.  Pat's was in the mid-price range with the best solutions to my roof problems.  His workers came out and ripped off the old roll roofing over the back porch.  Then they began foaming... the WRONG area.  I had to call the office who sent out their supervisor to oversee the rest of the project.  They had to scrape of the wrong area, then foam the correct area.  Then it rained.  They had to delay the coating for a week.  They finished the rest of the project without a glitch.  I give them 5 stars for the rest of the project.  I would highly recommend them with the stipulation they assign a supervisor to be onsite at all times.  His office help had a communicaton problem, too, that contributed to the mistake on the initial mis-foaming.

From the salesman to the workers who completed my repairs, these guys were 100% honest and professional. With only a $500 repair needed, other companies tried to convince me to submit a wind damage claim to my insurance company for an entire roof replacement. Not knowing roofers I did this with Sonoran Peak Construction + Roofing. Boy was that a mistake! They shot down my claim, and nearly 1 year later my roof was still not repaired. The guy who owns this company is a crooked as they get, so run as far away as you can when you hear his name (Steven Cron)! Long story short I finally got Overson out and they provided me with a reasonable bid to get the job done. No nonsense and no hassle. These guys are great!

After asking for recommendations from friends for a roofer in the Phoenix area and researching a number of them I narrowed it down to just a couple.  After getting estimates I decided on Overson Roofing. Their salesman (Joey) was very professional and excellent at explaining all the details. The crew came in for the tear off on one afternoon and had it done in just a couple of hours (a house nearby was getting done by another company and it took over 8 hours for them to do their tear off).  The clean up after the tear off was incredible. They made sure to run the magnet for nails and use a blower for all debris and dust. Everyone on the tear off crew was professional and easy to work with.  The next morning the new crew started putting on the new roof.  Again everyone being very friendly and professional. After the back part of the house was completed I noticed that I had a water leak. This was NOT the fault of this company, but due to some previous work that had been done improperly (that left my water line right under the boards and it had been hit with a nail). The workers were quick in shutting off the water, undoing a lot of the work they had done, cutting open the roof and getting a plumber out to get it fixed immediately. They then put everything back together and now I can't even see where they had to do the cut out.  My roof looks amazing! I have to say that this is one of the best companies I've ever worked with. I would recommend them to anyone in the Phoenix Metro area.

A job that was to take 1-1.5 days ended up taking over 3 weeks.  After original estimate we contacted Insurance company and there was a discrepancy in work to be done.  Overson told us they would hold off and they would get it resolved.  After a week of waiting we had to call daily 3 days in a row until finally someone returned the call.  Job finally got started and the wrong size shingles were ordered, workers ran out of nails all resulting in delays.  Everytime they stated a time/day they would be at the house to do work it was never met.  They would just show up when they felt like it or after we called to complain and to see where they were.  In addition to all this frustration one of the roofers broke a fitting that was on the cooler.  This resulted in flooding of the inside of the house because the shingles had been removed also.  We had to incur additional charge for HVAC repair.  Overson did remove this amount from the total bill but only after I demanded it and wouldnt back down.  They had to repair ceiling and light fixture in the house after the flooding from the cooler situation.  They took so long to repair light fixture that I did it myself because I was tired of waiting.  Overall, I wouldnt use this company again if they did the work for FREE and trust me this job was not FREE.  Terrible customer service.

The estimator, Brooks, was great, very friendly, knowledgable and found where the leak was originating.  It would be several weeks before repairs could be done.  Fine.  The fist day the repairs are to be done between 8 & 10.  Nobody shows up.  I call; will be there the next day between 8 & 10.  8:30 the 2nd day, call that they can't come till next day.   Next day no one shows (it's a Saturday).  Calls to office and cell phone of estimator with no responseto my voice messages.  Finally someone shows at 2:30 when I've run an errand as I think they have again ignored our appt.  I pull into driveway and repair tech leaves.  Finally comes back on 4th day and does scheduled repair.  I do not recommend this roofer.

I wouldn't recomment Overson Roofing.  We were to have 1 person come out and he never showed up to give us an estimate, we called back and Tracy came out to give us the estimate, we did go with them to do the roof but after they cancled twice and I understand becuase of the rain but my biggest complaint is they don't call to say they aren't coming the next day, then when they did schedule they again never showed up we had to call to find out where they were and when they were coming. According to Tracy who is a manger there he stated his crew had an emergency I understand things happen but pick up for phone to call and let us know. Tracy excuse was he was in a meeting. After they completed the job no call to see how it was, and when my husband called to let them know we didn't like something it took us calling back a second time to get someone out to fix the problem. Tracy did call back after we called the office and already had it schedule and again stated he was in a meeting.  It took them 2 weeks to come out to fix the problem. The only time I received a  call was to see if I recieved the invoice not if I was satifified with the job that was completed. I find this very poor customer service.
