Founded in 1964 by William Joseph Jr. and Mary Kathryn Maloney, the company is now helmed by their daughter, Kathryn Maloney-Langmade. Maloney plumbers have been to our home twice in the last 2 years, but this is my first Yelp post regarding those services. Both of our plumbing problems were water leaks and neither were urgent but they required prompt attention. I won't detail the plumbing problems we had, but rather I want to describe the service we received. We placed a call and received courteous attention from a very friendly associate. I felt like they wanted to serve us as soon as possible and that put me at ease. In each case we had a plumber at our home within 15 hours. They sent us a text in advance regarding their arrival. In one of the visits we could not be home and we received a detailed description of the issue, including pictures of the problem discovered. They told us the cost, which was very reasonable in both instances, and they completed the repair that day, within hours. For the repair where I was home, I was impressed with the professionalism and care the plumber demonstrated in his craft and his interactions with me. I watched him complete the repair. He answered all my questions and had a great personality.
My parents owned a business in a small town when I was a kid and my dad was all about taking care of his customers. He knew the value of service to someone that was in need of his help. Maloney Plumbing is a family owned business that cares. They have been in business for 70+? years and how they treated me reminded me of how my dad served his customers. This company/family has an impressive history in the valley. I know many families that have used them with great success. Don't hesitate to call them. I won't call anyone else. Jason becket just left to troubleshoot my Home Depot bought water softener. He arrived early and saved me a few hours. I'll know shortly if I need a new unit but I would recommend Maloney. No sales pitch for anything and in fact I was the one inquiring about new units. Time will tell if I need to replace. For the cheap service call fee; I'd recommend

My sump pump wouldn't shut off after it drained all the water out of the sump basin. I called Maloney Plumbing and spoke with Kitty. She dispatched Omar Carrillo, an Erik Estrada-look-alike, who quickly repaired the problem with my sump pump. Omar's a great guy and he really knows his stuff.

Omar was an outstanding plumber He was on time and completed the job in a timely manner. The customer service is second to none. We highly recommend this company. Will use them again for any and all our plumbing needs.
I called Maloney plumbing to replace a six year old water heater that they had installed. they came out promptly and told me it was not under warranty as the couplers failed but not the tank (their prior installation). They then quoted me $5,000 to replace a 50 gallon direct vent gas water heater. I turned them down and had 3 other quotes for the exact same water heater and installation for $2800-$3000.
The water heater costs $1750 to buy retail. hard to justify $3250 for a few hours of work installing it. this is price gouging at new heights.
Installed the following morning without problems.

I am so disappointed and I'm at my wit's end. I have a rat problem in a bathroom and the pest control company that come out last Friday said they believe there is a cracked pipe in my plumbing after performing a smoke test. I called Maloney Plumbing last Friday and spoke to a gentleman who had gone through the same thing, and he told me to contact the office on Monday to get scheduled. Today I call and explain myself again and they tell me that it is going to be $950 just to redo the smoke test or they can charge me $59 to just come out and look. What? I am bleeding money trying to fix this ongoing issue and $950 just to do a smoke test which does not include the actual fixing of any plumbing issue seems like an exorbitant amount to me. I had such high hopes after talking to the guy on Friday and now I'm back to square one. :(

I have used Maloney Plumbing for 4 years and highly recommend them. They were able to diagnose and fix a complicated plumbing problem that 2 previous plumbing companies had not been able to diagnose. They have helped us out on 2 other occasions. Last week, they were able to get a plumber out quickly to fix an emergency pipe burst. The plumbers
have all been very knowledgeable and courteous, They arrive in the given time frame, call to let us know they are on the way, take time to explain the problem and repair options and leave the work area nicely cleaned up.
Excellent Plumbing Company, I've struggled to find a good company to manage the plumbing issues at my rentals - my search is over. Maloney Plumbing is the company that will serve my home and my rentals. Special thanks to Adrian and Colin.
Absolutely incredible experience with Maloney. After working for over 6 weeks with another plumbing company who made little to no progress and who had quoted us thousands upon thousands of dollars, Maloney came out within an hour of calling them for a consultation. They were able to snake the drain and run a camera to tell us that our pipe had NOT collapsed as the other plumbing company had told us, and fixed the issue within a ridiculously quick time frame. They not only communicated every step of the way, they were highly detailed, professional, clean, friendly and efficient. It may seem dramatic, but I cried when they shared that they were able to fix the problem without having to dig into our slab and tear through our flooring as the other company shared they would have to do. I will recommend Maloney to anyone who has plumbing needs. Also: The owner of the company personally spoke with us when we called... to have that level of investment in your company and to provide the quality of service they did is impressive to say the least. I am so so so so glad that we called them for a consult. Now, onto the negative Yelp review I need to write about the OTHER company who could absolutely learn a thing or two from Maloney.
Although everyone from Michelle who answers the phone to the owners have been very pleasant. The actual plumber Omar, was also pleasant, but took me to the cleaners and didn't finish the job. The owners gave me a substantial refund, however so far, haven't sent another plumber to finish the work, which could have been done in one visit in an hour. Called today and was told they are backed up and hopefully will return to finish the job already paid for by next month. I would recommend them but not the plumber as he communicated one thing but did not deliver.
Thank you Maloney Plumbing. Our main water line sprung a leak under our driveway. Maloney Plumbing was able to come out that day to make the much needed and complicated repairs. It took 2 days but they never left us waterless. They dealt with the city and other utilities need to make the dig, repaired the landscaping they had to disrupt and cleaned up the yard. Everyone is super friendly and very hard working. They will be the first I call the next time we need a plumber.
Great company - had shower valve replaced - they had to cut a piece of drywall out of the back side in order to replace the valve! From start to finish including closing up the hole in the drywall, plus matching the paint - 6 hours! You can't even tell they fixed it - perfectly done! I will use this company from now on for all my plumbing needs!

Absolutely FIVE stars for service, quality, and expertise. Last week, on New Year's Eve, my hot water heater caught on fire and then died. After a freezing cold shower, I called Maloney plumbing at 8:00 a.m. with the emergency. By the time I returned home from work, a new one had been installed with all the instructions clearly labeled. I left the garage door opener for the plumber and he left the garage space cleaner than it was when I left. All of this on New Year's Eve, when most businesses were closed or closed early. We have used Maloney Plumbing for decades and would not trust anyone else. Do not hesitate to use them for all of your plumbing needs!
We are moving into an older home soon and I had Maloney Plumbing come out and do a plumbing inspection to make sure everything was up to par for the move during the inspection period. Everyone that I spoke with was amazing and very helpful. They made us feel at ease concerning the plumbing at our new home. They were very prompt and friendly. Living in San Diego, CA I was fortunate to find a company like Maloney Plumbing to service my aging Mother's home. They have now been out for three jobs and I am most pleased with them. Their response times, quality, pricing, and integrity are outstanding. My Mother had called the popular name brand plumber and they quoted $500 more than Maloney to replace a small water heater in her home. I would not hesitste to recommend them.

The first time I called, someone picked up the phone. The person I spoke with was super nice and extremely helpful. I was able to have someone come the same day. I received several updates on his arrival time. Randy was on time, friendly, informative and thorough. He went above and beyond. I highly recommend them. Great job all around.
Really love these guys, always professional and very friendly. Michael came out very late in the evening and made sure we were all taken care of: double clogged toilets with two young boys in the house is not a fun time, we couldn't ask for a more speedy and friendly guy to come into our home and help us out. The professionalism is really very outstanding starting from the initial call to Chris Roberts to the scheduling and help from Michael. I will def be referring this company to everyone. Very affordably priced as well.

I had an exterior spigot break off my house sending water everywhere so was in a bit of a panic. Fantastic service from these guys. My tech was super professional and explained the entire job to me, and the potential outcomes of various solutions. They were able to come out same day. I feel their prices are a bit high, but I certainly got the quality of service and the repairs themselves.
This is one of those businesses I wish I could give more than 5 stars to... I've used them a couple times now and can't say enough good things... First of all it's a family owned, high integrity business. Their pricing is affordable, plumbers were punctual and respectful and pretty clean cut guys. They are GREAT, QUICK & PROMPT! Ask for Bryan! He knows the plumbing codes like the back of his hand! I inspected all of the work that he did yesterday and no leaks or issues. I know plumbing and this is awesome work! And the price is right! My renovation inspectors looked and said that it is perfect!
I've been a customer of W.J.Maloneys Plumbing for at least 8-10 yrs. I had called them for a recent problem I had. It was so hard to find the source of the problem, but Kerwin never gave up. He was determined to find out where my plumbing problem was. His helper, Mike did a lot of the muscle work and I didn't hear him complain one bit. He is a nice young man that is willing to learn. Even if it's to dig a hole. :) I won't mention the price, which I don't think was too high considering all the work that these two did. But I would definitely recommend this company and these two plumbers to anyone having a plumbing problem.

You've got to admire a family owned and operated business. Zane, the plumbing tech, arrived at my home (on time) and repaired my bathroom plumbing leak. He had the parts available on his service vehicle and was in and out of my home in 30 minutes. The owner of the company called two hours later to make sure my plumbing issues were repaired. Bravo!!!

Kitchen Sink had a regulator that was sticking. They sent 2 people out to diagnose and fix for $190. I am a little concerned with the technician Randy, I think he was trying to work a side deal. Felt shady! At least the job got done and my hot water is circulating again.

Once again, these guys saved the day for me. Was out of town and came home to water pouring out of my meter box in my driveway. They came out immediately, stopped the leak, managed to hook up water to my home for a couple days until they could come out and put in a new copper water line for me. (Another company came out, looked, and left. Never offered to hook up water for me.) Maloney managed to replace water line without tearing up my cement driveway. This company has very skilled plumbers. I would never use anyone else.
I had a backed up toilet. Called and scheduled an appointment and the plumber showed up right on time. However, he immediately had me sign a contract for the $49 arrival fee. He continued to tell me I had to pay $160.00 on top of that to try and snake the toilet. No guarantees. I didn't agree with having to pay the $49 fee on top of the service fee, so they did waive that for me. He came back to me and said that he can't figure out why the toilet won't flush and will have to charge me an additional fee of $309.00 to pull the toilet up and hope he can find the problem.. No guarantees. I don't think this guy had a clue what he was doing and I was getting scammed. At the end, they didn't charge me anything, and he walked away from the situation. I am glad that he made that decision. I called another company The Sunny Plumber and they came right out, put a snake down the sink and cleared the toilet and charged me $250
We've had 2 fairly substantial projects, one that ended up over $700 for a shower leak, and then $1500 for a softening system. They are honest and the quality of work exceptional. What put us over the top was during both projects, the plumbers treated my wife so respectfully that she felt completely at ease dealing with the plumbers. K insists this is a huge plus for women in making a decision. For me, quality of work is key, particularly in plumbing. The slightest leak can end up costing hundreds/thousands. From the moment they walk in you know you are dealing with skilled professionals. Hard to beat that.
I had a call this morning from Kitty, and they have agreed to refund a good portion of our repair bill. Thank you so much for the call and concern. I will now recommend W J Maloney Plumbing as an A-1 company.
