HISTORY

Established in 2011.
The IllumiNation Window & Door Co Team has a proven track record of over 20 years of experience and 9 years in business, producing high quality home window and door beautification projects. Through the years, the owner Anthony had worked for several window & door companies where he then decided he wanted to create a business that consumers could trust. He started IllumiNation Window & Door Co by going to local window & door manufactures, touring the plants and understanding the products they offered. As he found solid products that were not priced strictly by name he was able to offer these windows and doors to his customers for great prices. This is what continues to give Anthony the happiness of being a local business owner and has grown IllumiNation Window & Door Co.

We had an incredible experience from start to finish with Illumination Window and Door.  The sales person came out and was very knowledgeable and helped us with design and ideas.  We then met him at the showroom to see the different products and make a final decision.
The owner Anthony came out to measure and look at what type of support beam would need to be added.   We felt confident in the entire team.

The installers showed up at the scheduled time and were very professions and nice.  They put dust barriers up to protect the house then went to work.  They had estimated 5 days but completed in 3 days.  They matched the pop outs and moved our electrical around so that it looks like it was always part of the house.  The sliding glass doors open up our kitchen and family room to our outside living area, pool and waterfall.  It makes our house seem much bigger and we love the new look and feel.  We went with the La Cantina doors and from a product standpoint they are awesome.

I am very impressed with Illumination, the team and process.  I would definitely recommend them!!

I purchased a new front entry door from Scottsdale IllumiNation in 2017.  I followed up with 2 more doors in 2018 and the product was good and installation went well. While I had no issues with the purchase and installation, last year there was damage to the stain on the front door along with significant fading from the sun in an area exposed to sun in the late afternoons.  While their website shows the brand carried a Lifetime warranty for the finish, It seems that IllumiNation can't/won't support the level of warranty or service for the door that they sold and installed in 2017.

IllumiNation had no interest in coming to look at the door. My issue was passed on to the manufacture and a representative came out to look at the issue. He let me know they recommend a sealer be used every 2 years to protect the finish.  When I let them know that we were never given that direction from the salesman or installation team, he could not elaborate on the way IllumiNation manages their business.

When I questioned IllumiNation on this, they couldn't provide any information as to whether they provide direction to customers as to ongoing care for the door to protect the finish at the time of sale/install (but this is a Lifetime Warranty?). Additionally, they do not know what information their salesmen provide to customers or have a sales training process. They currently have no process in place to evaluate or solve customer service issues relating to failure of surface finish that is under warranty.

What is most disappointing is that their business is selling doors and windows in Arizona, one of the harshest summer climates in the country and it seems that I am the first person to ever have an issue with this product.  When I pointed that out, and stated that perhaps I had a defective door, that was not addressed. IIllumiNation seems to have no desire to help with the problem. Their response to me was we have no technicians that do any finish work such as painting, staining or anything like that, we are window and door installers, not painters or stainers.

They offered to sell me a Gel Stain Kit for $400 that I can purchase at Lowes for under $50.

Be aware that if you purchase doors from IllumiNation, there seems to be no recourse for warranty coverage.  Too bad, because we love the door and I guess I'm on my own to try to match the stain and complete the repairs myself.

Please note:  I did not end up using this company.  My carpenter recommended this company as likely able to handle a tricky job on my home.  I did have them come out and give an estimate which I did find about 10% higher than my other bid but competitive in that they are a company vs a sole proprietor that I chose.  The salesperson was not timely in response at all in three different communications over six months (but did at least eventually respond).  Very dry in communications but when added to the lack of timeliness I interpreted as disinterested in doing the work.  I am glad I went with the other company after coming here to read the other reviews when I went to leave this one.

Illuminations replaced 2 windows & a door with a 14' x 9' sliding door and a window to match the door.   We had a plumbing pipe to work around, otherwise the door would have gone across the entire wall.  The team is great to work with and very professional.  Even with a couple obstacles, they were flexible and worked around them.

I interviewed many window companies before selecting them.  The windows and new doors they installed are fine although they do not seem to cut the electric bill as promised.  There were substantial extra costs to re stucco around the new windows and doors and then have the entire house repainted.  We knew this going into it.  We replaced 17 windows so this was a substantial amount of money.  Their installer cracked tiles on my bathroom floor which they assured me would be repaired.  Then it was can your tile guy do it and we will reimburse you.   So I did this and sent the owner an invoice for $150.00.  First it was we cut checks every two weeks, then a month goes by and he states all checks come our of head office so it will be a little longer .   I have asked him to reimburse me for this nicely several times but the last time he did not respond.  It was such a small amount compared to the almost $30,000 we paid him and he couldn't even step up to the plate and follow through.  Very disappointing.

This is the third time we have done business with IllumiNation and the longest we have had to wait for our front entry doors, but we understand the delay was due to all the pandemic delay issues industry wide and the multiple companies actually involved. What we want to note, is that IllumiNation and primarily Beau, were wonderful about communicating with us and trying to keep us updated based on the info. they were able to gather from the manufacturer and finishing company. And when the doors finally arrived in Arizona, IllumiNation was quick to get us set up for an installation appointment. The installation team, headed up by Ryan, did a very good job installing the doors and making the necessary adjustments. And when a problem was noted regarding the top latch, they were back out here promptly and took care of it.
On another note, when a few issues regarding the finish on the doors were noticed, it just took notifying Beau, who promptly contacted the company responsible for the finish and warranty. An appointment was set up and the warranty work was completed.
Thanks Beau for being responsive and communicating so well with us during these unusual times. It was greatly appreciated.

Bad company. Doesn't see the details. Will perform poor work with incorrect products.
Came out to our home and measured an 80 inch opening of French doors to be replaced by five panel door system. The owner is short and came out and measured and sent us invoice for 80 doors. After waiting months for our customs doors, illumination installed 75 inch tall doors. With the owners height, he seemed not to comprehend that any person over 6'2 would have to duck.
They would do nothing to fix.
We took the doors out and had to order a correct set from a different company.
We are in the process of getting our money back via lawsuit because the company would not solve the very obvious problem that height was also against city code.
Stay away from Illumination Doors and Windows if you're looking for quality and avoiding incompetence.

I would give them zero stars if I could. The salesman David assured me that the replacement process was straightforward and the installers were clean and efficient. After paying in June and being assured the doors were 8-10 weeks in production, I finally had an appointment for install the week before Thanksgiving. The doors had come in earlier, but they didn't bother to call me. The installers arrived today to rip out two of our five doors for replacement. However, they claim the hinges and frames are not correct. The doors don't close, can't lock, and there's sawdust EVERYWHERE in the house. I won't let them replace the other 3 doors. These need to be removed and I'd rather have my old cracked doors put back in. Now I'm out 38k and have no functioning doors and a huge mess a week before the holiday. I'm horrified and disgusted that I trusted illuminations to do anything at my property. I won't make this mistake again. Learn from others and take your business elsewhere.

These guys were professional, courteous and cleaned up after themselves. From the time the first guy arrived they were all extremely polite. They covered our furniture. They even sweeper the roof mess up. The windows look fabulous. It's so quite now.

As part of a essentially full home remodel, we selected Illumination as our vendor for all new interior and exterior windows and doors.
We were very pleased with their professionalism throughout the project. The team was responsive, on time and there were no surprise add ons of cost.
They showed up on schedule, were courteous of other teams working on site.
They followed up promptly to inquiries before, during and after completion of installs.
We recommend Illumination.

He's full of crap( with his pathetic excuses), but then again he'd have to, to justify why I would prefer to spend $30k ~ when the 15k was DOUBLE what the appropriate amount (according to Hunter Douglas specialist in the area)! So far he's given more attention to his review than to the original problem!!! He's a waste and so was his employee... I still recall what she said when she came to my home, with BBB...  I'm sorry. That was it!!! 30 thousand dollars later, you get an I'm sorry~ good luck if you believe this piece of garbage owner and the uninformed salespeople. This Anthony is abusive and ignorant.

Btw, he never even admitted his errors after reading the 15 page report from Hunter Douglass. Maybe they should strip him of the line of products! That would be karma!

Great Experience - After calling and getting a few quotes over the phone, we ended up selecting Illumination.  They scheduled an in-home measurement (even arrived a few minutes early for our appt), the item arrived when they said it would arrive and then they called to schedule the install, and they did a great job on the install.  Everything was seamless and both Anthony who gave me the quote over the phone and came for the measurements, and their install team, were courteous and on time.  Happy with the job!

Terrible place!
Don't waste your time or money here, not willing to fix the door that is not even a year old! Too many problems for an expensive 16ft wide sliding glass door!! DON'T use this company!!!!!!!

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!  Anthony, the manager, has horrible customer service skills.  A patio door was purchased by the contractor for our house's renovation.  The door had a major installation issue.  Although Anthony facilitated the installation, he never admitted to doing so.  I had to make many phone calls to finally figured out that Illumination did the installation.  Ultimately this company can sell a product, but WILL NOT take any accountability there after.  Is that who you want to buy from?

Response to Anthony's comment- Quite rude?  What's quite rude is the necessity of 3 phone calls over a period of 4 days to finally get in touch with the manager!!  I initially reached out to illumi-nation for some kind of answers to my malfunctioned door because THEIR BRAND's LABEL WAS ON IT.  In our initial conversation, not once did I mention to Anthony about any warranty claims or request for such;  According to my contractor, Anthony and his team did in fact installed the door at my property.  It was a specialty door and therefore, required special considerations for installation.  As far as who did the framing, I am yet unclear.  Irregardless, how convenient that Anthony is denying having any involvement with a faulty installation by saying he just sold the door.  Again, I am just astounded by the lack of accountability or simple courteous assistance in solving a problem derived from their store.  Save your money and go elsewhere!!! I have NEVER wasted so much time writing such a negative comment; but the principle in this situation is just beyond belief! True, I was never an actual customer of this store, the contractor was; however, I am hoping that this review will change your mind/contractor's minds in making ANY purchases from this nasty franchise.

We moved into our condo last September and quickly afterwards noticed we had a gap in our front door that was costing us a lot of money in electric costs. Additionally we had an original sliding glass door that was single pane. We had illumination window and door company completely replace our front door and sliding glass door. They did a wonderful job with the install, and left the work area very clean. Since we had the new doors put on we have noticed a decrease in our electric costs and have no more gap at the front door. I would highly recommend illumination window and door company to anybody considering getting new windows and doors. Their pricing was very competitive and fair. Thanks Anthony for the great work we appreciate it.

I called to get a quote from a sliding door, Anthony was extremely helpful and kind. I made an appointment to go into the showroom to look at the samples - I was extremely impressed with the knowledge of the staff and the quality of the products. I was able to make a decision and schedule an installation within 6 weeks - on time and professional. I'll only recommend to friends building and remodeling!

All windows and doors replaced. Affordable pricing. Friendly punctual clean crew. Very little stucco and drywall damage even though I went with a block frame installation that removes the entire window. Good prompt communication through out job.

Schedule slipped because of wrong sized materials. Their subcontractor choices should be reviewed as the quality of the finish on the entry door could have been better and where I enlarged an opening the stucco/drywall contractor could have been cleaner and not left such a rough job leaving it for the painters to complete.

Overall happy and have recommended them to others.

Thank you for a job well done!!
Last week I had all my windows replaced by IlluminiNation and am truly impressed with the installation. I was really concerned about my kitchen window since I had my kitchen remodeled and the granite countertop and backsplash overlapped with the kitchen window.  I had 2 other companies come and give me estimates and they didn't make me feel comfortable when I asked how they could replace the window without damaging the granite.  My salesman Anthony thoroughly explained how the window would be replaced without damaging the granite, and I couldn't be happier with the installation!  Thank you IllumiNation!

Made appointment for someone to come out to give me an estimate for doors and windows.  My husband wanted to be there so he took the morning off work.  No one came. I called and asked why no one had arrived and Anthony said he would call me back.  He never called back, I left it 2 hours and called again but it went to voice mail.  Still no one called me back.  I called again 2 hours later and was told the office manager decided to take today off and no one had checked the schedule.  They asked if I wanted to reschedule but this experience plus reading other reviews made to decide to find another more reliable company.

I ordered a $5,000 patio door from this company. They never once came out to look at the wall prior to installation to see if it would work on the wall - even though They said they would send someone out. I was nervous the door would be incompatible, but still paid the full non refundable payment. While waiting the 6 weeks for the door to arrive I called them twice for updates. One time I received a massage back with completely inaccurate information about my door. I was extra terrified at this point that I would be getting the wrong door and/or that it would not be comparable with my wall. I called the office and voiced my complaints. When I got a call back, the message stated- my staff told me you called the office ranting.  After that I hired another contractor to do the install so I cannot comment on their installation quality. Poor customer service, terrible communication, lazy owner.

I normally don't write bad reviews, but in this case I have to. I had a new window job quoted a few weeks back for Aluminum Casement windows. The salesman spent over an hour at my house measuring, providing brochures etc. When I was ready to move forward with the order I called Anthony and he said he would need to come out to take another look at the house. He pulled up my paperwork, we talked about the aluminum casement windows and I scheduled a time with him to meet. After leaving work early to make the appointment a week later he did not show. When I called him he said he wasn't sure if Milgard made aluminum casement windows and told me his salesman does not work for the company any more. This was the worst cutomer service and most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a contractor. I will be leaving this review anywhere I can. Avoid at all costs.

Had a door, sliders and most of the Windows replaced. I usually don't do reviews whether a good or bad experience. This has been a nightmare dealing with lack of job completion and debris left at the job site despite taking the final payment. Multiple phone calls. Emails and pictures. Windows and doors leaking when it rains causing interior damage to the home. Still to this day have leaking issues of doors. Molding falling off Windows. Beware!

I will supply photos later but I could not be more pleased with the service or value received in replacing all 5 windows in a very modest condo off 43rd Ave with double-pane, argon gas-filled, Energy Star compliant windows which qualify for a smallish federal energy tax rebate.

Purchased 4 vinyl replacement windows via an Angie's List Deal and was going to delay the 5th due to expense, but when the glass got broken in that one, decided might as well get them all done at once, and the price I got from IllumiNation, even with non-standard size window frames (which adds to cost) AND the addition of a fifth window still saved me several hundred over the quote for 4 from another local company for same Arizona-made Cascade vinyl windows, and at least a THOUSAND over the first quote I got for replacing 4 with the more expensive Milgard brand through a Costco affiliated contractor.

Before purchasing the Angie's List deal, I contacted the company by phone and found them receptive and willing to answer the questions I'd learned to ask after the first two quotes.  I had rough measurements and they informed me that there would be additional charges for the non-standard sized windows, and that non-standard sizes would have to be ordered, and take 3-5 weeks to come in.  It was not until on November 12, 2013 when the deal was about to expire that I finally made the purchase  and sent them an email right away.  They contacted me the very next business day, conferred with my tenants as to a suitable time and sent someone out to confirm the measurements within a few days.  I felt the extra charges to be reasonable and was quite pleased with the quote, which included the 5th window, and a glass breakage warranty, and still came in several hundred below my next nearest quote.  The terms were 50% down on the balance over the deal price, and 50% on completion.

The windows were installed 12/11/13.   The installation crew seems to done a fine job, including caulking and touch up.   My tenants were thrilled and I am very, very happy with the result, at least based on initial appearances. The new windows replaced original cheap aluminum frame ones that had single-pane glass that was flimsy, so thin as to bend when pressed on, and porous as to heat and cold.  The new windows instantly transformed the appearance of the unit, making the exterior  the nicest looking in the immediate area, garnering compliments and inquiries from the neighbors.  As did another reviewer, I dealt with Anthony, who handled everything seamlessly and smoothly, and who made the entire experience effortless on my part - other than forking over the money.  This place is on the down side of $50k rather than $500, but barring defects as yet unseen, I am very satisfied with product, service, and value received.  Based on my experience, I am pleased to recommend - assuming satisfactory resolution of minor concerns regarding loose screens.

We had our doors replaced and I was very pleased with the quality of the product and work. The installers came to our home and explained the whole process before they started and asked us if we had any concerns. The work was completed in a timely manner. We had an excellent experience. We recommend and will be using this company for all our window and door needs in the future.

Horrible company Anthony is a horrible unprofessional manager. Since Anthony would like me to state the whole story here you go and you are incorrect Anthony I did not call you to change the time I only called to  confirm. And was kind to offer if you wanted to come earlier. and yes to not make changes but to also confirm what we would like to do before we give you $15-$20,000 deposit. I don't think any other company would hesitate to show up! Well, here yo go, The morning of our appointment I called Anthony to confirm and just mention if he would like to come earlier I did not tell him 930 is better then 10 o clock! I then notified him and let him know that let's stick to the 10 o'clock as originally planned  he did not get back to me until 10 minutes till 10 clock  due to a 20
Min difference Anthony cancels on me 10 minutes before 10 AM stating  he has to be at another job. Apparently not everybody is a priority and I wasn't sure how long he was planning on staying here if he booked two stops back to back that close together being that far distance! So that left me to explain to my husband who took off the morning from his firm and leaving me standing there explaining to my husband the reason why he is not showing up . This company does not put you as a priority a $45-$50,000 job is nothing to them. Anthony need some customer service classes. All I know is thank God we did not give them 50% deposit!

I was asked to state the facts so I will. It is true I didn't have much of an idea about what I wanted to do, although I never hid that fact. I stated from the very beginning (which I had to do in person, by the way, because my voice mail was un-returned) that I was looking for ideas and Anthony could have said at any time, we are not interested in this type of business and I would have walked away without complaint. But he agreed to give me some ideas (via e-mail). I gave feedback via a phone call and an e-mail, but I was essentially told to go away and it was not a pleasant exchange. Again, I admit I was searching for ideas because I am not an expert in window and door replacement and I would have understood if I was (politely) told to do some more research. But I was struck at the rudeness and arrogance of Anthony's replies. Over the phone, I could tell he was losing his patience and his e-mail to me left no doubt. For all I know, his work may be fantastic; I'm pretty sure Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg are not known for their patience either. But I was just really surprised that as a small business owner Anthony was not a little more conciliatory towards someone who has no expertise in this area. By the way, I told him that I was willing to spend a decent amount of money on a solution and never wavered on that commitment, so I just don't understand the animosity. Again, these are the facts as I see them.

After months of searching for a company that could meet our door and window needs we settled on IllumiNation. Everything seemed great, they had just what we wanted, 2 sliding doors at the right price and could get the work done in a timely manor. The installers were quick and efficient even with a few issues along the way they got 2 sliding doors removed and installed in about 3 hours. The issue came about when they were installing the screen. One of the screens latches broke, the installer said that he could go get another from the shop and it fix it in the next day or two, worse case scenario he would have Anthony (the owner) call the door rep (whom he knows personally) to get a new latch and it would get installed the next week, either way they would call the next day. When no one called the next day and a neither a receipt or a warranty packet were emailed as promised i decided to email them, it was May 20th. Anthony emailed back to say a receipt was being sent and a replacement lock was ordered but would take 7-14 days to get in and they would call us. Well 16 days gos by without a call so i call them and speak to Lisa, she says there is no part on order attached to our account so she will call Anthony. She calls back a few hours later to say that parts take a few weeks but should be coming any time now and that they will call. Instead of a call from Illumination a few days later we receive a call from Milgard to set up an appointment for a warranty repair. Of course they cannot make it out until the 30th of June, when i ask why they are calling instead of Illumination they tell me that they had just received a service request that day from the installer, there was no other requests on file. I set the appointment and contact Illumination to again request the warranty packet to have on hand for Milgard when they come. Anthony tells me that ill have to get the warranty information off the Milgard website because he has nothing for me and he requested Milgard direct to handle the repair under warranty as we never received the parts we requested from them a week ago (it should have been ordered the 20th of May and i received this email the 5th of june) . At this point it had been 3 weeks since the original issue and from when i was told the part would be fixed in no longer than a week and Illumination had not once called or emailed without prompting from myself so i was a bit perturbed to say the least. Then of all things i get a thank you for being a customer card in the mail and that if i need anything i n the future dont hesitate to call them. Well after the disappointment with their communication and inability to repair our screen in a timely manor they would really have to go above and beyond to prove to us they deserve our business again and since i have not so much as received an apology i doubt they are willing to do anything to correct these issues. So yet again the search begins for a company to replace our 15 windows.

I needed a new front door in a bad way, and had no idea how expensive they could be. When I found a living social deal ($99 for $500 off your services) I thought that this might be my only opportunity to actually be able to afford a new door. When I saw the negative reviews on Yelp, I gotta admit that I was very hesitant to call this company, but I realized that they were not giving a bad review for workmanship, and so I decided to call.

I scheduled a free estimate for the next day, and Anthony actually beat me to my house and was nice enough to wait for me to arrive. I made it clear that I couldn't afford much, and not only was he helpful in showing me quality options for a lower price; he even gave me additional pointers to save more money such as getting the door primed but not painted. He was extremely understanding of my financial situation, and even though my job wasn't going to bring him a huge profit, he took his time with me and my questions.  It was an awesome, hassle-free experience. We made the decision quickly to hire Anthony's company for the job.

Today, the work was completed, and it looks amazing! I couldn't be happier and would absolutely recommend this company! Don't forget to look for the living social deal too!

Purchased a Living Social deal for $80 which I was supposed to be able to use towards product and installation.  Spoke with the owner, Anthony to schedule an appointment for him to come to my home and give me a quote.  Our first meeting was scheduled for a Wednesday evening.  On Monday I realized how busy I was going to be at work that week and called him 48 hours in advance to reschedule our appointment, as I figured he could use that time to make an appointment with another customer.  We agreed on the following Wednesday evening.  10 minutes AFTER our scheduled appointment time, Anthony called to tell me he was held up at a prior appointment and asked to reschedule.  Although I understood that things happen, I was still a little irritated that he didn't give me ANY notice, especially since I had extended the very same courtesy to him the week before.  We decided to reschedule a third appointment on an upcoming Saturday at noon.  I waited around at noon that Saturday...and waited....and waited.  I finally tried calling him at 12:30 and got his voice mail.  I left a message and continued to wait.  At 12:45 I called again, and this time his phone rang twice then went straight to voice mail.  And, every time after that when I would call, the same thing would happen.  So, he was obviously choosing to ignore my calls.  The following Monday morning, I called the office directly and asked to be transferred to him, and when he answered the phone and I asked him what happened to our appointment on Saturday, he said he forgot.  Because Living Social will only give refunds to customers for companies that have gone out of business, I told him that I would like my money back, since at this point I feel like he has wasted more than enough of my time.  He told me he couldn't do that and asked me to schedule another appointment.  After talking to him for a few minutes, I ended the conversation.  He called back and said that he would give me a refund and asked me where to mail the check.  I told him to mail it to the same address he had the three appointments with.

It's been four weeks now, and no refund check.  I can't say that I'm surprised.

As with most people these days, my time is valuable.  And, I also have enough respect for others to value their time as well.  I work in a customer service oriented business, and I know how to treat customers...and this isn't it.

Would not recommend this company. We had 3 windows installed. The painter left  after he began finishing one window saying he could not complete the job  with the product he was using say it show be a two step process, stain the seal and left. Several days later we received a text from the owner telling us he cannot get a hold  of his painter and we should get on one on our own  to finish the job using the $400 balance we had. We are very disappointed he did not honor our contract and finish they job as promised.

Unless your home is worth 500,000 or more and you want to spend 10 grand on a door or window, I would not recommend this company.  The customer service comes with an attitude if you aren't spending 20 grand at least, and it was the owner that treated me in this manner.  I used a groupon and when he realized this he spoke differently and hurriedly completed our transaction.  When the contractors came to install the door, (they did a fine job), but I didn't think it was the same model I ordered, I called Anthony(Owner/sales rep)  and he acted very unprofessional, even stating that I was trying to get something better than I ordered. I asked if he could come by when he was in this neighborhood and show me the catalog and see the door that they were installing and he said would not come back.  Most companies I know will come back to see the finished job and ask how things went.  Not Anthony, like I said if you aren't in a half million dollar home, your not worth his time.  He knows and I know how he acted.   Well I let that go, because I new when he said to me that I got a door for 300 dollars, what did I expect.  I wasn't going to deal with him anymore for the rest of my doors.  The groupon was $75 for $500 worth of windows or doors.  It didn't state that you had to purchase X amount.  I thought it was a good deal, but after spending $235 (price of door after subtracting 500 dollar coupon)and $75  for groupon coupon, on one door that is very plain!, it's really not that great of a deal, but I certainly would never have spent $740 on this one door anywhere, even if it came with a barking dog doorbell.
