don't recommend. This is a follow up to a previous review. We spent tens of thousands of dollars only two years ago on Pella windows and doors. Today the guys were here to fix and repair various things all of which were things that should've been right from the beginning, if the workmanship and quality was even close to adequate. They had to replace a door gasket on the bottom of one of the doors that had fallen off, I had to adjust the doors because they were badly out of adjustment after only two years, and they had to do a water test and repair a bunch of stripping because there was a water leak and water was coming into our living room. The guys that were here were great and it's not their fault. They got a squared away. But I had heard previously from someone who monitors Telus, social media that help was on the way. That was not the case. I never heard anything from anybody and they charged me for all the repairs .

AJ was on time and very professional - he called to let me know he was on the way prior to his arrival. He went the extra mile on my locking mechanism replacement by making sure the deadbolt fit correctly into the strike plate and adjusted the square of the door. An A+ Pella service call ! Thank you, AJ ! LN

After Pella's social media team contacted me that their customer support department would be in contact with me in regards to this review I still haven't heard from them. It's been more than 2 weeks. I have a feeling they no longer care about you once they have your deposit.

AJ who is with Pella showed up super timely to re-install my Pella sliding door handle.
What I love about Pella is that they give you a date and time and then they will be there and then they re-confirm the date and time.
AJ did the job and was out of there in about 15 to 20 minutes.
He was very nice and cleaned up any associated debris.
I love the company Pella.  They really communicate what is going to happen and when it is going to happen.  AJ is an excellent employee of the company.

Pella windows and doors are some of the best products one can buy, I would like to share that their customer service and repair service is exceptional too.
Recently I had an issue where one of my Pella doors self-locked, permanently  ( I guess nothing is perfect) , since this door is also an egress exit on the second floor , I explained that to Tyler in Pella's customer service.
He fully understood the importance of getting this addressed. Doyal was my Pella repairman , he was dressed professionally, his repair truck was clean and very organized. He explained to me this isn't a common problem that he normally encounters, but rest assure he was confident that he could get it fixed. He tackled it a logical approach all while being respectful to my property as not to damage or make a mess. It took him about an hour, but he got the door free. He removed the lock and replaced it with a new one, and said he needed to order a new strike plate and some weather stripping, basically cosmetic. We are so pleased how this was handled. Doyal has many years of experience and it shows. Thank you Doyal and Pella for your attention to my issue.

Had such a great experience with our Pella tech, AJ! He showed up on time, was so knowledgeable about our 10 yr old sliders and went above and beyond by teaching me how to open the casings and answered all my questions. He was able to diagnose the issue and now I can open them with ease!

We had been looking to replace our front door for some time and we met with a few different companies to discuss a replacement.  Greg from Pella met with us to discuss our options and based on our positive experience with him we decided to move forward with Pella.  This was in mid-June of 2020 and marks the end of any positive experience that we had with Pella.
-  Our install was scheduled for early September but was then re-scheduled for late September.  It was then pushed back multiple times into November.  Various excuses (COVID, delays at the factory, shipping difficulties) were given.  This alone would've been enough to warrant a negative experience, but there was much more to come.
-  Our door was finally scheduled for install in mid-November.  However, upon attempting to install the door, the install crew found defects both in craftmanship and cosmetics.  In their words, it never should've left the factory in Iowa.  Considering our old door had been removed and disposed of, they installed the partially defective door with the intent of ordering a new one.
-  The folks at Pella told us that they would do everything possible to expedite the creation and shipment of a new door.  We were hoping for a couple weeks, especially considering how many times they'd already re-scheduled.  The best they could do was the end of December.
-  End of December - we are at the six-month mark.  Pella calls and states the door didn't make the shipment.  We're LIVID and ready to cancel.  We then speak with a sales manager who assures us our door will arrive in the next shipment at the end of January.
-  End of January.  The day before the scheduled install, we receive a call stating that they need to push our install date back a day because the door needs touch-ups.   Not thrilled that it wasn't more thoroughly inspected before leaving Iowa.
-  Door is installed at the end of January, somewhat sloppily (see photos).  There are caulking and painting errors that will need to be touched up - this should've been inspected and caught by a supervisor.  Our porch lightbulb was broken in the process, and the glass was only cleaned up after we brought it to the installers' attention.  Pella also had to send a technician back in the following days to address an issue with the hinges.
-  The icing on the cake was being sent a final invoice that was $300 over what we had been told our final amount due was.  Yes, it was an error, but in typical Pella fashion, it again demonstrated a lack of attention to detail.

In hindsight, it was a big mistake to hire Pella for this job.  Yes, they attempted to make up for the multiple issues throughout the process with discounts, etc.  But there comes a time when the project should be finished and finished up to a certain standard.  Seven-plus months is MUCH too long, and I'm not sure that they ever met that certain standard.  Lesson learned.

Just wanted to acknowledge the efficient, friendly, quick service I received today by AJ and Bobby of Pella Windows and Doors- outstanding!  While I had to wait awhile for my service call due to how busy they are, I'm very pleased. They replaced the rollers on my 15 year old sliding doors which now operate like brand new. They also serviced a lock that had been sticking on an outside door. Pella, you have 2 top-tier employees. Thank you!
p.s Booking and follow-up by your office was spot on too.

I will say Pella did try very hard to make this correct as time when by. They offered to do some repairs and make it good. I was reluctant to do that.
In the end the job turned out better. I do thank them for that.

Well, Pella has sent some of its best technicians out to fix the problems.  It took about a month to a month and a half to get all the parts and fixins in, but they are done.  The windows are very soundproof.  They block a lot of the noise from the outside.  That is the best thing about them.  But i haven't found that they block the cold or the heat from the outside any more than my old original windows.   I had always dreamed of having Pella windows for the last 40 years, but  now that i have them, it's definitely not worth the money for the aggravation I had to go thru.

Jimmy came to our house, reviewed all the options, took extensive measurements, and presented an estimate right there. He was friendly, very knowledgeable, and most importantly wasn't pushy. My wife and I felt comfortable learning about our options and asking any questions that came to mind. Overall a pleasant experience.

He was patient and thorough. James did the absolute best,
considering the measurements involved, as well as the inventory
and availability.
We would  highly recommend him. Pella is fortunate to have James.

This is a follow-up to my review of Pella Windows and Doors of Scottsdale.  Today is May 13 and you can read my first review after my windows were installed by Pella on 3/29/2022.  I finally resorted to contacting Rhino Shield Paint Company who was painting my house and asked them to have their stucco people come out and finish up Pella's failure to do any stucco and painting around my windows installed on 3/29/2022.    After several tries to contact Pella about being reimbursed for the work that Rhino Shield did, we agreed that they would pay me $859 for the stucco and painting.  Pella also came out and looked at the job and agreed to replace some of the inside trim and two pieces of outside parts of the windows which were damaged.  Finally Pella called me and said that the replacement work would be done on July 5, 2022.  Guess each time a customer orders something from Pella, it takes at least 20 weeks to git 'er done!  When Sammi from Pella read my first review on Yelp, the response was that if I would send them the particulars about the poor job that was done, they would look into it.  Sent Sammi the information immediately and never heard another word from Pella.  I am still waiting on the reimbursement of the $859 that Pella owes me.  For the past two weeks I have religiously attempted to get a check from Pella, and talked with Natalie, Renae, and Drisana in their corporate offices.  Each of these women made me promises that the check was on it's way to me.  Never received a check.  On Wednesday of this week Drisana in the Finance Office in Gilbert said that if I would complete an Electronic Permission for Pella to deposit the $859 directly to my checking account, she would transfer the funds directly to my checking account - I had the form back to her within 15 minutes of talking with her.  Guess what?  Two more days have passed with no check in sight!  Guess the Pony Express was late in getting the check to processing....  There are no circumstances under which anyone should do business with Pella Windows and Doors.  What good is a company that manufactures a good product but doesn't finish the job or stand good on their promises to finish the job?  By the way, I filed an unsatisfactory report with the AZ Registrar of Contractors but because someone else finished the stucco and paint that Pella contracted to do, ASROC dropped the complaint but called me to say they would not pursue it.  Wouldn't even come out and take a look at the unfinished job.  So much for Registrar of Contractors and any help from them!

We have some large windows that have been leaking for a few years. We finally reached out to Pella Windows to see if they could help us resolve the problem. Chris and AJ came out a few weeks ago and diagnosed the problem and offered a couple solutions. We decided to go with the least invasive repair, and Chris and AJ returned today (we specifically requested them!) to do the work. They showed up on time and went to work. They completed the work in less time than expected and left all the work areas perfectly clean. Chris and AJ are very knowledgeable about windows and definitely represent Pella Windows in a positive and highly professional manner. Of course time will tell if the  repairs resolved the leaks, but they promised to return if we have issues in the next year. We highly recommend Pella Windows and especially AJ and Chris.

In the last couple of weeks I have had a couple of companies come to my home to discuss replacing my patio windows/door with dual pane windows.  I got quotes ranging from $7,000 to $13,000.  Today Kyle from Pella Windows and Doors came out.  And guess what?????  I already have dual pane patio windows and door.  He showed me how to tell.  Just saved me a pile of money but left me wondering why the other reps couldn't (or wouldn't) tell.  I guess that's the difference between amateurs and professional.  Thank you Kyle.  I certainly would recommend Pella to anyone thinking about new windows.

Justin Meyer was so great we called him back for more windows! We had previously had him come to do a quote for the whole house. We were discouraged when a competitor quoted a very high number and were not sure if we could afford windows. Then we called Justin!  We talked about our needs and how we can replace our original single paned windows with something more energy efficient and gave us a run down of what he recommends for each window and air flow etc. The price was great and the quality that Pella offers is fantastic! Plus they will save us tons on our electricity bill! They do all of their installs through people who know their products and we can't wait for our new windows! If you're looking for someone who will help you out and give you great recommendations at a price you can afford, call Justin!

Throughout the process, I called the project coordinators several times and got through right away. Their team was flexible and worked to help me in any way.

We looked at all options out there to for a sliding glass door for our second story home. We were able to find a product with Pella that met all of our needs. From the sales process with Justin Meyer to scheduling and having an installer come out to scope out the project, the entire process was great. Would highly recommend Pella and their service to anyone. Nice to have some Midwest hospitality during the process.

Our entire 4000 sq ft home has Pella windows. We have no issues with the product itself, but this Scottsdale location is beyond belief. No customer service at all. Call them and wait for them to call you back if you have a problem, and you'll be waiting for months. It's a quality product but NOT sold via a quality operation. As homeowners with tens of thousands in Pella products, we would strongly recommend you select a window supplier with higher marks in customer service than this bogus operation in Scottsdale.

This review does not represent Pella of Scottsdale but rather the Pella Corporation and their Lifetime Warranty and the Strong Warranty   twaddle.  You get 5 years on the between the glass shade portion of the window. After that you're on your own. My vinyl slider blinds have failed at the 8 year mark and Pella could care less. This is the second time they have failed. They were replaced at the 4 year mark and they have failed.........again. Do not fall for the Lifetime Warranty twaddle, read the fine print which is what I failed to do before I had them installed. Never again with any Pella product.

Purchased a whole house replacement, doors (2) and windows (10).  Install went good.  My blackout blind slide to control up or down broke.  I was told they don't have replacement for this considering it was purchased in 2003.  You will pay handsomely for the windows and doors but as far as replacement parts go .none

DON'T deal with this company!!!

I had them come out on 9/4/2020 to get a quote on 3 set of doors. The salesman Bryan Jarman was fine. I decided at the moment to go ahead and make the purchase and give him my credit card.BIG MISTAKE!! That evening after discussing it with husband he wanted other quotes. So I email and texted him telling to hold/cancel for now. He called me back and said he would credit it after weekend because it was Friday night. Monday I texted him reminding him of the credit. I never text, now I know why. He claims he never got the text. Come to find out the number on his card I was texting was the showroom number and not his cell phone. He told me when he was at my home no one is ever at the showroom, so why put this number on your card! My mistake for the wrong number! He was rude and tried to make the customer look stupid! Not to mention almost $18,000.00 for two sliding glass doors and one single French door! Do yourself a favor go buy the Pella doors at Lowe's and have a contractor put them in! You will save aTON of money!! Way over priced for what they are! You can buy their high end doors at Lowe's cheaper then their cheapest doors!   If this sales guy represents what Pella is run away!!

The windows were missing some small parts.  After I mentioned this to the salesperson they were mailed to me for me to install.  Moreover, their stucco contractor was terrible.  First thing he did when he showed up was to complain on how bad a job the window installers had done. He himself did an awful job and was belligerent saying it was the best he could do.  After I complained to the salesperson the stucco guy came back out and did the job mostly right.  Almost nine months later there are still stains all over the driveway from where he spilled the stucco material and they can't be removed.  Not once during the process did anyone from Pella inspect the work being done.

Good windows. But terrible customer service and follow through. We had all sorts of problems with the install process when we replaced all the windows in our Scottsdale house, and customer service was almost non existent and they never followed through on any thing they committed to. Timeline wasn't even close to what they committed Wrong windows and doors.  One thing after another. The sales person was great and full of promises but once we signed the contract our project manager was very little help and had lots more excuses than solutions. Very frustrating. Wish we had gone with another window company.

Appointment went well with sales lady, she was great. I knew they were priced higher but wow. I didn't think much of it until another contractor I was talking to quoted me to install Pella windows. We had looked at the Impervia fiberglass windows as one of the options. Pella quote was (rounding off here) $51,000 and change...competitors price to install Pella Impervia windows $32,000 and change. How in the world can someone else buy YOUR WINDOWS and install them for almost $20,000!!!!!! Cheaper!!!!!!! This is not even respectable and you guys should be ashamed of yourselves.

I scheduled an appointment with a Pella sales rep from this office.  Greg was way too into his sales pitch and quick to sign me up for more than I wanted (because he never asked) but that's a part of the process.  What's worse is the 6 or 7 different times I have explained either through text or call that I selected a different company's product and asked not to be contacted again.  I was assured that my number has been removed and that it's totally okay that I didn't pick them and yet the texts, email and calls never stop.  I wish I would have never called not for the product (which was nice but over-priced), but for the crazy amount of times they try to bug you just to make a sale of which I found same or similar products much cheaper elsewhere...BBB is getting a review as well horrible and annoying.

I chose pella windows over other companies because of perfect customer service ! Not so!, I'm extremely frustrated and dissatisfied!, I received all new windows the end of September. They measured the most expensive window, front window to the street , off by three inches . After installment my shutters did not align . In order to avoid having to get a new window, we agreed to adjust the shutters , which I paid for, and get an amount refunded for having to accept the not perfect window, six weeks ago I provided an estimate and the desired photos of the window , I was just Advised that it  will take another two weeks ! To get the repair money and the refund , which makes it 8 weeks after , or three month after replacement of my windows !,,

Is this superior customer service ? I think k not!,,

For  this reason I would not chose pella again,  a much cheaper company could not have handled this worse ....

I should have read the reviews here before I purchased.  For the most part the product is nice but service after the sale is nearly non existent.  Multiple calls and texts to Deanna go unanswered.  Was told when I called yesterday that she was out of town but one of the owners would call me back.  Nope.   I can stand in between two very expensive pivot doors and see daylight above and below both.  Dust blows in and a watched a small gekko walk in through the opening yesterday.  Used Andersen on previous build and don't remember any issues.

Horrible experience. The doors came from the factory with a serious flaw, but were installed anyway. A less than one day door project took 151 days to ALMOST get it right. I'm sorry there isn't a zero star category. The ONLY thing Pella is good a,t is convincing/fooling the public that they are a high end door company.

Oct 2002, Pella (at the time in Tempe AZ) installed many, many windows and doors in a house we bought in 2009. We are 100 miles from their Scottsdale facility. Since then, we've had a service call, help identifying hardware parts and yesterday they came to replace two windows broken by our landscape crew. I'm kinda hard to please, my wife a tad easier, but both us were worried about the quality of the work we were asking and paying for.

The entire process was seamless. They properly identified the specific windows, they bid the work, they arrived when they said, they did what they said they would do and then some! The two guys that came, were seasoned veterans, this clearly wasn't their first rodeo! The work was done perfectly. Then they came in $300 under their estimate because they only charged us for one service call, not two.

Last, when we had the home appraised for insurance purposes, the appraiser said we got a bump in value because of our 12 Pella doors and 18 Pella windows. Keep in mind, we never paid Pella for all these doors and windows, we became their Customer because we bought a house that had their products . . . and they still treated us as if we were the original buyers.

AND we are darn happy having such well made windows and doors, all with dual pane glass.

In May 2019 we contacted Pella repair because one of our window blinds no longer worked. It took many calls and unanswered email requests to get this process started.  They eventually sent us a part that cost $173 and said that it would be easy to change out. When we received the part, we quickly realized it was the wrong part! We contacted Pella again and they agreed to send out a repairman on June 21, he confirmed that yes, they sent us the incorrect part. The repair office called and stated the part plus labor would cost $912.82 and that they would credit us the $173 making it a total cost would be approx $740 however they could not get the part delivered until July 25. The repair was scheduled for this day and when the repairman arrived he said the cost $912.82. We stated there should be $173 credit, the repairman did not know anything about this. We went ahead with repair and paid that amount then contacted repair center about the overcharge. After discussing this with Breann we are being told that the $912.82 was the price after the $173. However if you look at the invoice it does not reflect that. We were told that only their internal invoice reflects it. At this point we are out $912 for a blind! Additionally after the repairmen left we found a large gouge in the wood frame around the window. There is no way to fix this without replacing it completely! We purchased an entire house of these Pella windows with blinds. Had we known a repair would be so difficult and costly we would have reconsidered.

Bring your checkbook, because you are going to pay handsomely for these doors.  This certainly is no review for a steal of the century, but here's my tips:

1.  It's 2010, hurry up and get the door before the Federal energy tax credits expire (up to 30% or $1500 max)

2.  You can custom order the door thru Lowe's for the same mfg leadtime which is cheaper than Pella direct (b/c they want to make money in the install), OR you can use your contractor's ROC license to purchase at a discounted rate which makes it cheaper or on par.

3.  We went all out, cellular blinds in btwn glass + screen doors... the French doors is probably my favorite feature of my home and I obnoxiously point them out to e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e (don't you LOVE the doors?!).  We did not just spend thousands renovating our home, to put in a cheap dinky door.

4.  If nothing else, listen to me... PAINT THE FRAMING BEFORE THE INSTALL.  if you're getting new framing done, paint the trim (yourself or contractor) before installing!  I was grumbling to myself the entire time, when I was taping the area off... it's hard to not get paint on the door and fit the tape over the tight spaces where the door swings on.  Go stare at the floor model doors and you'll get what I mean.

We were very pleased with this company from the first phone call through the installation. We had all of our windows replaced with double pane white vinyl. The salesman was very helpful, spent alot of time with us and answered all of our questions. The office was very timely with phone calls to keep us updated. The windows actually came earlier than expected and the installers were meticulous with the installation and clean up. The windows look wonderful, we are so glad we got them and wished we had done it years earlier. Pricey, yes, but we were so pleased with the whole experience and you get what you pay for.

Received an ad from this store.  It offered specials on doors advertising wood, vinyl and fiberglass. I needed a 1 lite wooden door replacement with safety glass.  I called and made an appointment two weeks out. I shared that I needed a hemlock with a 7 1/4 inch jam.  The appointment was set.  The Rep called one hour prior to confirm and was punctual. He took one look and started to talk about fiberglass and a metal frame when I said stop.  I need a wooden, hemlock 1 lite with safely glass just like this one and the other 5 that I have across the back of my house.  He said we don't do wood.  Our doors are like $3000 fiberglass doors. He had a little bit if atitude which I get as his time was wasted. We quickly parted.  What a waste of time for both Pella and myself. Seems that better qualification is needed.  Also this is probably a 700 dollar door that needs a 400 dollar install.  My advise is talk to a rep and don't let the phone scheduler control the inquiry.  Also be specific and I don't know who would pay 3K for a single door.  Not me.

After having issues with my non stationary door shutting all by itself, I put in a call before my 2 year install warranty was up. It's done this since the beginning. We had Terry, a supervisor come out, after 1 attempt to fix the issue and when it wasn't, terry came to see what was going on. He then told us the door needed to be reset and would order more trim in the mean time. After a couple weeks, Cooper came out and totally reset the door. I have to be honest, I never thought our doors would work as nice as it does now. It ALWAYS felt like it was grinding when we tried to lock the door, and if you didn't give it an extra push, it wouldn't fully engage the lock. So not only is locking it super easy, the door swing is completely gone, on both sides of the French doors. I couldn't be more excited to really experience the true quality of Pella. The minor changes have totally affected our door, making it feel like the true quality it is. We now have to wait about a month for the siding to be ordered and installed. Pella sent in the wrong siding. I'm happy to wait as I feel like my true issues have been resolved. Thanks Pella!

The order was for fourteen custom windows, two custom doors, and one custom French door set.  The windows were installed but needed follow-up, which took a letter to Pella Corp to obtain satisfaction.  On installation day, an existing door was removed and custom door placed in the opening - it was obviously way too small.  Installer measured existing doors, stated the Pella doors were not correct size.  I talked with sales rep - she stated delivered doors were Pella's standard door, our openings were custom, and would be lots more expensive.  OBSURD!  We had ordered and paid for all CUSTOM - windows and doors.  Next, her manager calls, offers compensation if we would let them install the smaller doors - I said no and wanted a refund for all the doors + compensation for the inconvenience of having a door removed and then reinstalled, which is ok but needed additional attention.  Installer said that's the best he could do in re-installing the door.
After much hagling back and forth with Pella, and their refusal to make good with full screens for double hung windows, the following is my response email to the sales rep with bcc to the customer service:
A refusal to make good on full screens because they reimbursed us for a PELLA ERROR is not a good enough reason to not deliver full screens.  It was NOT our error that the doors were wrong.  It was NOT our error to choose a refund instead of accepting Pella's initial alternative  to install  ill measured, smaller doors and accept compensation.  It was NOT our error Pella delivered half screens for double hung windows.
Henceforth, Pella will remain in our opinion, which I will surely make known in every conversation regarding windows,  that Pella is an unscrupulous company that will take your money but take no responsibility and refuses to make right a Pella wrong.
We may be small fish in a great pond easily walked upon by Pella, but somewhere down the road, a company whose compass is so skewed will meet it's fair and just consequences.
Curious to read any other Pella reviews.

We received several quotes for our  windows from well known manufactures and decided on Pella - even though their quote was higher than most. We chose them because of their repuatation for excellent windows along with installation and service. Well we have not seen the windows yet but their installation has been nothing short of a disaster. The saleman only measured the lowest of our eight windows. It turned out later the top windows were inches shorter than the lower windows. A pre-site visit was supposed to take place prior to installation to insure all was well. It never happened. Intallation day arrived and the 2 installers were shocked to find that they would need longer ladders to reach the upper windows. They were unprepared to do the job. I received a call the next day from first,  the proect coordinator who apologized and said all would be well. I recommended they send someone else out to see the site before sending another installation crew. He said it wasn't necessary and that he was chained to his desk. I then received a call from the General Manager who assured me that the crew arriving the next day would have everything necessary to do the job and would be fully prepared to make us happy. WRONG. The 2nd crew arrived and were shocked to see the job. They had longer ladders but had no knowledge of the fact that a first crew had refused to do the job and said they needed scaffolding to do the job. The crew chief spend most of his time that morning on the phone. They finally figured out how to use ladders and started to do the job only to then discover the upper windows were too small. So all was abandoned.
No one called that day. We finally made several calls to locate someone to talk to. We have received lip service assuring us all is well. We will see. Pella has made no attempt to somehow compensate us for our efforts to prepare for the installations, including moving furniture, cancelling appointments so we could be there, and just the imposition they have put upon us for their botched efforts.
So we are very much NOT impressed with the Scottsdale branch of Pella. If things change I will write a rebuttle to this but I don't expect anything to happen.
