I had recently bought a hangar and it badly needed an new epoxy floor. I called Erik at First Class Coatings after reading several 5 star reviews. I was assuming with any luck, I might get an appointment within 30 days considering what is going on with this economy and the lack of supplies and workers. I was beside myself when Erik agreed to come out the same day and within ONE hour of speaking! After spending some time with him, it quickly realized that he genuinely cares about his work and satisfying the customer. I could not have been more right!

We hired First Class to completely redo the hangar floor with a new chip Epoxy. Not only did he come out the same day to quote, he got the job done the same week. The floor looked amazing and we could not have been more satisfied. Not only was the work high quality, the price was very fair.. Unfortunately I hired some not so caring contractors to come out and do some electrical and insulation work after the floor work. That was a mistake as they scratched the floor with scissor ladders and carelessness! Once again, Erik rushed out and came to the rescue. He repaired the floor to look almost new!

I value his honesty, no BS approach and his meticulous approach to this craft.

In response to the huge narcissist Eric. LIES. You are only digging yourself a big hole. All talk, no service is you. The long details of how awesome you are and that you absolutely did bad mouth every single other business in town. Then trying to say it was on Thanksgiving is beyond tragic sir. Actually, I was unpacking that day, by myself because I have responsibilities, and so did my husband.  He was working entertaining very rich clientele at the ranch.  I was moving forward with my very strict timeline, as I told you months ago. You can't explain away my well documented horrible experience and all of the facts I have.  How would it benefit me to just make up some story?  Exactly.  I've got much better things to do with my precious time. I will not embarrass you any further and will not stoop to your level of lying.  I feel sorry for you. By the way, BEWARE.  This guy will let you select whatever colors you want, for a pushed out date (which I wanted months ago yet he NEVER got back to me), then he tried to change my mind on what I wanted because it would've inconvenienced him, and then only doing a certain percentage may cause an unwanted look, etc.  This man will try to steer you into his lane from what you really want....BEWARE.  Do not ever hire someone like this guy who refuses to see the job first hand.  He's a bad business man.  Big ego, and zero class.  Merry Christmas to you and God bless.  I will pray for you sir, because you are not headed in the right direction spiritually, which is the ultimate. You obviously do not have a relationship with God. I will be praying my father is doing a little better after doctors failed to listen to him 10 months ago when he said his cancer was back.  The tumor grew to the size of a small grapefruit on his jaw and they removed his jaw and he can't speak.  All this while I was trying to mark things off my list so I could move into my new home. Yet, you drug your feet and I kept waiting for something on the calendar from you. I wanted to see my dad after I tried to call and text etc etc and also had to work with other vendors, but no Eric showed up or anything.  Of course you don't have all of the conversations I had with you on the phone or the dozen or so calls I made trying to get on your precious calendar.  You robbed my precious time and my family's precious time before my father's surgery because you thought I was no big deal to get back to.  Go ahead, once again, your excuse for not calling or communicating for three days in a row right when you were supposed to do things?  You were sick.  Well, then communicate that you were sick and you refuse to help me.  It's rude.  Horrible business practices.  BTW, I asked him "where do I sign" so I can get on the schedule for over a month!  Rude.  I pray that your ego and your crummy attitude get a reality check.  Eric, you're not worth any more of my time. Go have a cat fight with someone your own size.  I'm a LION.  SO GRATEFUL I DID NOT USE THIS BUSINESS.

Called Eric after seeing the 5 star rating on Yelp. They did not disappoint. Eric explained our options, recommendations and costs over the phone and sent us some pictures of finished floors with the various coatings of which to choose. The crew came out at the expected time on the first day for the first coating. I could already see it was going to look good with the first coat. They came back at the same time the next morning and finished up with the 2nd coat. The total time that we had to stay home to accommodate over both days was just barely b more than 3 hours. One of the crew told us exactly how to proceed over the next 5 days regarding how not to damage the floor while letting it dry. I wish I had asked their names but they were excellent.
    In closing, they did everything as promised and promptly. If you are planning to get your floor coated I would highly recommend calling Eric. I had high expectations because of the 5 star Yelp rating but they exceeded expectations on my floor. Thank you Eric and your crew.

First Class Coatings installed epoxy floors in my 3 car garage and they look great!  I chose a special color that Eric put together for me that is a mix of gray and tan, since the exterior of my house is tan and the interior is gray, so the garage is a mixture of both.
I know contractors of all types are very busy right now, and in spite of that my floor was done within weeks. I had to delay the project for health reasons or it would have been done even sooner.
The brothers who came worked well together as a team.  They worked quickly and efficiently.  They were really polite and let me know when they arrived and when they had finished and were leaving.  They even moved a couple things in the garage that were too large for me to move.  Great job!  Highly recommend and I would use this company again.

We found Eric by searching on Yelp and we couldn't agree more with his 5 star ratings:) He was insanely professional, communicative, kind, and on time. The crew he sent to the house did the work, cleaned up after they were done and showed up on time.

We live on a mountain and apparently every so often that can create a few bubbles in the epoxy. On Friday my husband sent a photo to see if the few bubbles were an issue- Eric responded immediately and came to the house himself on Saturday to make the correction.

We so appreciate his level of detail and care and will use him again if we ever need epoxy!

What a great business! The owner Eric is very knowledgeable because he has been in the business a long time.  He spent a lot of time with me on the phone and thoroughly explained process. The crew showed up on time and was very meticulous.  FCC's prices are very competitive.  I am very happy with the end result.

We recently used Eric from 1st Class Coatings to apply epoxy to our garage floor. We were so impressed with the whole process, beginning to end. We had called a couple other companies, but we were so impressed with his knowledge about his product and his ability to answer all of our questions . His employees were prompt, neat, knowledgeable and courteous.  The only bad thing about the process was emptying our garage and putting back all of our stuff.  If you are thinking about  fixing up your garage, DO IT with Eric!!!!

My garage floors were in poor condition and it seemed like getting them epoxied would be the easiest option, plus I liked the aesthetics. I didn't really have a lot of time to research products and techniques so I just ended up choosing a company that I though had fair prices and had good reviews. Well long story short I kept calling them and emailing them days before I was scheduled to try to change the service date and they never responded. I was so fed up with their lack of response that I decided to waste more time finding another company instead. I hopped on yelp to send out messages to different companies about my project and Eric (owner) from First Class Coatings was the first to respond to me. Within a few minutes we were on the phone discussing my project. He gave me a lot of insight into the products they used and their techniques, and I certainly appreciated his prompt response. I still decided to get a few more quotes from other reputable companies before jumping the gun since choosing hastily caused me problems in the first place. After talking to a few more companies and gathering more information, I decided to work with Eric since we had spoken about my small project several times on the phone already, and I could feel that he was sincere and knowledgeable. I finally felt like I was in good hands and didn't expect any issues with not being called back. His crew came out Monday morning and worked all day grinding and patching up my floors and stem walls. Before they left that day the first layers were down. The next day they came back and finished up the following layers, Eric was there to inspect and wrap up. We went with a full chip floor to hide some of the more egregious imperfections, and I am very happy with how they turned out. No one needs to know how bad they looked beforehand...no one... Overall I'm super glad to have found First Class Coatings and saved myself the headache of dealing with an inferior company who won't even respond. Any homeowner can attest that contracting work is time consuming and no one wants to deal with problems, let alone paying for those problems. I'll definitely use their company for the next house we buy if we stay in AZ. Just the time I save will be worth it. Eric has been doing this for a long time and it shows. Take a look at my pictures at my awesome floors! before shot included. I loved the color, and it didn't turn out as busy as I thought it would be. But for the life of me I can't remember what it was called.

A few side notes and tips
1. the flakes end up everywhere, on lawns, landscape rocks, and inside cabinets even. Be ready to vacuum the insides of your cabinets.
2. make sure you talk through the process and details with the crew that comes out if they weren't the ones you talked to in the beginning. Things get lost in translation. A joint I didn't intend to have worked on got worked on, and the toe kicks on the cabinets I asked to be done weren't. It wasn't a big deal since they just did them at the end when I pointed it out. That's a lesson for me as well since I try not to hover when people are working.

Wow, what a great experience and an amazing product!  Eric called me back the same day, covered his products and process and even provided a ball park price without seeing the home.  Eric was able to schedule me on the day I needed, he followed up a few days prior and showed as promised.  Finished in two days and to say I am impressed is an understatement!  I highly recommend First Class Coatings!

The name aligns with the experience: first class. The service is very consultative and the product is customized to the customer's needs, not one side fits all. Eric is easy to communicate with, reliable, transparent and caring. The pricing is reasonable. Couldn't recommend Eric and his team highly enough!

I met with Eric two weeks ago.  where he showed me and my daughter a huge assortment of samples and epoxy colors, everything from chips to colors and we also discussed the process. I was impressed, I recently met with some other epoxy companies and they either did not have a color I loved or some other factors arose which elminated them in my search.  I was picky and I wanted a tan floor but my problem is I have gray cabinets wanted it to mesh.  Eric created a custom chip mix for a tan floor using earth tones but also silver and black, he even included silver mica flakes which gave the floor a hint of sparkle(my daughter and my wife love it).  I was unable to find this in other companies that would create a custom fit for my needs.  One other notable thing is Eric did not try to sell me on some other expensive products he carries.  He worked with my budget and made my garage look spectacular.  It is hard to find someone that you can text or call late in the evening or first thing in the morning and they will pick up or text back.   If you want your floor to look outstanding and be coated with attention to detail, call Eric.

Eric and his crew are some of the most trustworthy and friendly folks you could hire to complete your floor work.

I reached out to Eric via yelp. I needed help because I had bought an epoxy kit from Home Depot not realizing how much additional stuff you need to complete the job. We had our new washer and dryer coming in the following weekend and needed to get the floors done before they arrived.

Eric was very positive and was willing to work with us on the project. What he ended up doing is completing the portion of the floor where the washer and dryer were going sit before they arrived and then came and finished the rest of the floor after they were installed. We are so grateful that he was willing to work with our (crazy!) schedule.

I can't tell you how beautiful the floors look! The quality of the work is top notch. It looks like $1,000,000! His prices were extremely fair as well.

We went with a grey base with a black, white, red and blue chip. Eric even let us choose how much chip (which relates to how durable the coating is) in different areas. We have 100% chip on the upper portion (where the majority of the traffic will be) and then 85% in the main area. He also helped us patch a few areas where the concrete had chipped and settled since we have an older home.

I can't recommend First Class enough - they really went above and beyond to provide a great product, flawless installation, and extreme customer service.

We have just purchased a home in Sun  City Festival, Buckeye , and we wanted to do some upgrades , including an epoxy garage floor before we actually moved in. I read the reviews about First Class Coatings ( yes , including the fake review !) and contacted Eric. We had time constraints and Eric and his crew did a truly exceptional job for us . I originally phoned Eric, 4.5 years ago, during the build out of our veterinary clinic.
I needed a matte finish, non-slip, easy clean, no grout and super durable (20 + years) floor.
Eric came to my location, the same day, to explain the process and show me samples.
Eric also directed me to another vet clinic, where I could see the very same floor I wanted.
I was able to see for myself how the floor was holding up and talk to the people who used it everyday and were responsible for cleaning it.

Eric was attentive to our timeline. His staff was courteous and professional.
It's no small task coordinating the timing of grinding and prepping the concrete, laying
down the layers of concrete coating and getting the walls painted without trashing the paint
or the floor. Eric made it happen, when it needed to happen.

Recently, we had a small area in the floor, where the concrete itself bubbled and broke
apart, which damaged the coating surface. Eric came and explained what happened.
He fixed the floor in one, hassle free visit and it was covered by the warranty.

I shopped around for garage epoxy in the north Scottsdale area. After calling about 5 shops, I decided to go with Eric at First Class Coatings.

Eric is a straight shooter. He doesn't BS around nor does he try to "sell" you on his work like some of the other shops did. He simply tells how it is, what the options are and let's his product sell itself! He diamond grins everything and doesn't touch acid etching, which is a hue positive. He guarantees his work for a min of 15 years!

My father had used First Class Coatings about a year ago with great results and I've been jealous of his garage ever since, so I finally pulled the trigger and gave them a call. I had an outstanding experience with Eric and his team at First Class Coatings! I called him 9am on a Thursday, and he was at my house that same day with a plan and estimate to epoxy my garage floor. He spent a lot of time with my wife and I going over every detail of what we wanted, what to expect, and after care. with the next two days my garage floor was done, and it looks absolutely incredible. The price was right, the timing was right, and most importantly the finished look was right! I can't thank these guys enough!

Had them do my three car garage in October of 2014. Waited 10 days for the floor to cure before I brought a car in on it. We were not living in the house yet. The first time I brought a car in it left impressions in the epoxy. You can actually see where it sunk into the epoxy. 60's Camaro. Not a very heavy car. It took 2 plus months before you could go out in garage and not be knocked over by the smell of the solvent in the epoxy. Is that normal? The first time it rained, some rain water came in the garage by the garage door. It stained the floor. I have tried multiple times to call Eric about the staining and soft finish and have never received a response. My contract says I have a 15 year warranty, but I can't even get a call back.

I received a phone call from Eric in response to the review. Extremely hostile. Let me know that this review was "fu(ked up and he wanted it removed" and "if I was going to leave it fu(ked up he would fix the floor when he got to it".

Received text messages from Eric letting me know how this review is hurting him. 16 days from the initial review and still has not looked at the floor.

Received text message from Eric again letting me know that my review was a "d!ck thing to do". Also let me know that I have no proof that I attempted to contact him in the past. Still no attempt to inspect the floor to actually resolve the issue. Only profanity and accusations that I'm lying. Let me know that this review is "not motivating for him".

Contacted AZ registrar of contractors. Found that their contractors license is suspended and their bond is expired. From the looks of it, it's not the first time.

Eric finally contacted me to see the floor. Contacted me at 11:11am wanting to see the floor at 1:00pm. Was working and was not able to work it out to leave work with that short of a notice. He offered up a couple more times that were during my work hours, I offered times after work or on the weekend that he was not willing to agree to. Said I needed to compromise, which I guess means taking time off work to meet when it's convenient for him.

First Class Coating did a great job coating our garage.  The work is excellent.  Eric made sure that the job was going to be done on timely manner.  He also provided information on how to care for the epoxy coatings and answer all the questions professionally.  His crew was hard working and friendly!  Highly recommended.

The guys arrived on time, finished the floor in 2 days and it looks positively exceptional!  They were very detail-oriented  and really worked with me regarding scheduling.  Eric was very professional, returned my phone calls  and texts almost immediately  and answered all my questions very thoroughly.
 All my gear Head friends that have seen the floor have been impressed with how good it looks.  I would recommend first class coatings with 10 Stars if I could!

Flat out rockstar service.  I use a lot of home improvement services and I can honestly say this was one of my best experiences I have had.  Everything he said he did, Eric the owner was honest, timely, concerned about my satisfaction and kind.

First Class Coating did a beautiful job on my garage and workshop.  Eric, the owner, has been doing this since 1990 and his experience shows in his recognition and handling of issues.  Eric is totally hands-on not just a salesman who just schedules a crew later.  He inspects everything and often works shoulder to shoulder with his crew.  His staff is very clean dressed, easy to speak with and they communicate easily and work efficiently.

In our attached 3-car garage we had decorative chip epoxy.  It came out beautiful & I love how classy our garage looks now.  The coating is very nicely done with all details included including the stem walls hand sanded and the joints so they are smooth and easy to clean.  We elected for the high film build for that extra shine in the garage floor.  

Our workshop is a 30 x 40 metal building that my husband does auto restoration in.  Eric recommended an epoxy primer, then a colored urethane coat & a clear urethane top coat for a solid color ultra protective coating system. This system resists fading and is easier to find dropped nuts and bolts on. His workshop looks like a professional shop now!

We had high winds the day of our final coat in the workshop which caused the urethane to set up too quickly and not develop a nice sheen.  Eric saw this happening and stopped the coating in process as they were half way into coating the garage.  He rang my door bell to explain what was happening, apologized and said he wanted it to be "Perfect".  I did not see exactly what he was speaking of at first, but later I learned to trust in an experienced installer.  They came back 5 am the next day when conditions were better, sanded the floor and applied the final coat.  My husband was out of town and I would not have known better if they had just gone with the first application and left it as it was.  Thanks Eric for doing the right thing!

I reach out to Eric for a quote & a meeting. He doesn't follow up (OK he's busy I get it), so I call & ask to meet at my home that day.  He agrees.  He texts me to say he would be at the house in 20 min. I txt back saying I was grabbing a quick take out lunch & would be back in 20-25. I'm driving back & he starts texting that he is leaving so I say fine.  Then he called me & starts swearing & calling me names. Awesome. Have never seen a guys scream at a customer that he is trying to sell a job too. Unprofessional! Immature! Unreliable!  A-Hole!

I called Eric to ask questions about coating my garage floor. He took the time to explain the entire process as well as the different coverings that they offer. I called him back a few weeks later to get my new garage floor coated. We set up a time and a date and his guys where at my house on time and ready to work. They knocked out the first coat in just a short amount of time. Eric came back and applied the final coat after the first coat dried. The attention to detail that he provided and the quality of his work is amazing. I am so happy with my garage and would recommend Eric and First Class Coatings to anyone looking to get their garage floor done. I could not have asked for a better company and quality product.

I was looking at 6 different epoxy floor companies all ranging in price and I guess you could say quality, at least want sounded like what would or would not be quality. There were a couple way cheaper but they use epoxy you buy in the store, don't diamond grind, prep or put protective top coats after they are done. It came down to two companies, first class coatings and 1 other. They both offered me the same exact product, same finish, same prep, same everything, but the other company was much more pricy. Maybe they didn't do as many floors as first class. I talked to Eric several times and he never rushed me and answered all my questions and went over cleaning the floor even on first call. He was able to get me on the schedule very quick. His first guy came out to do the prep work. I was able to see the process and it was amazing. The guy worked with concrete for over 20 years. He paid very close attention to detail and sealed every crack and he perimeter of the garage. Later that day the next crew came in and laid the epoxy down and threw the chips. I did not see them do this, but when I came home it looked amazing. This morning they came out to finish the job with the protective top coat and it just turned out looking like a million dollar garage. They didn't ask for a dollar until I was 100% satisfied with the project. There was a little hole in the epoxy after the first day in a crack, I didn't mention it and after the second visit they had it filled! Worth every penny and would highly recommend this company.

I am an engineer so the devil is in the details. FCC came recommended to me from a friend whose floor I saw. He is also an engineer btw. I called Eric several times and had many questions. What I liked about Eric is that he would patiently answer my slew of questions but at the same time give his candid feedback as I asked him for guidance and suggestions when I wasn't sure what I wanted. He would only do this after gathering information on my project and personality (I.e. Detailed person). Anyway, he communicated well throughout the project and the chip floor looks great. Eric coats with his crews, has been in the business for a great number of years so he really knows his stuff. His guys are friendly, professional and perform quality work. What I'll say about Eric is that I wish more contractors ran their business like he does. Super honest and transparent guy. Straight shooter. My project was a new construction detached garage that was 782 Ft2. This included a separate shop that was coated also. Originally I had wanted to do a solid color in the shop and a chip finish in the 2 car parking area. After several conversations with Eric and him guiding me as I sought his expert opinion, I decided on a decorative chip finish throughout. I couldn't be happier. Three days to do the project, but that's because I was on no set schedule and he fit me in where he could as he was super busy. Immediately after the final coat was done, I received a detailed email letting me know how to best take care oh the floor. Eric's passion for coatings is apparent and as I said, he has been in the business so long, he appears to have seen it all.

We recently bought a home and I chose Eric based on the Yelp reviews.  True to all the other reviewers, I found that Eric had great follow up, was extremely thorough and delivered as promised.  Eric stopped by the house for an initial consultation and walked me through all the options, pros and cons, etc.  I really felt as though he was providing advice as though it was his money, not just walking me to the best, most expensive floor finish.  Eric was also not just present during the work, but he did the work.  I liked that he was picky and not in a rush.  By the way, he is the best quality AND value.

This company is very good.  We were able to trust them with doing our floors while we were away, and the owner sent us pictures and a status report each day.  We tried to do the floors ourselves when we first built the new house, but our job was thin and messy, while theirs was using the best possible equipment, procedures and products.  We are very happy, and impressed with their professionalism.

My contractor recommended First Class Coatings saying they were the best and honest.  I contacted Eric and he responded immediately....had a quote within an hour and was competitive with other bids we had received.  His crew was professional and helpful....in and out on schedule.....Thank you, Eric...you are the best!!!!!!    Norm L

Eric with First Class Coatings has done more then 4 projects for me over the past 3 years.  Each project was self managed.  Even though I managed the construction daily, I never had to ask him the next steps. He always informed me to detail, on where the project stood in schedule and every project was completed on-time or before.  Some projects were large and were 5 day installations.  Never missed a day, including weekends to finish ahead of schedule!  Had a client damage the floor on accident, Eric was promptly out for a   - Fee Repair -    ....  Amazing customer service... I called First Class Coatings to get an estimate to have my 4 car garage floor professionally finished.  The owner Eric came to my house and went over all of the options available his company offers.  We agreed upon a price and he started work the next business day.  His crew showed up on time and were extremely professional.   They had a machine to grind down the concrete and cleaned up the entire area before applying the epoxy.  The crew did an amazing job and the floors turned out perfect.  I would highly recommend First Class Coatings as they are honest, reliable, and professional workers. I called several companies prior to choosing First Class Coatings and I am very happy I chose them to work on my floors. Some companies asked for a 50% deposit upfront while others said they were booked out for several weeks. Eric was great to work with and I felt that I could trust him. He didn't ask for payment until all work was done and I was 100% satisfied.  I will be calling Eric again soon to do some additional work for me in the near future.
