Had an old bathtub removed to make a shower.
Met Bruce the owner of the Company who gave me a very fair quotation and told me when they would start work and finish in one week. That's exactly what happened. It is so great In this day and age to have a contractor who actually keeps to the schedule. Oh and incidentally the work was first class. Great tiling to walls and non slip floor. I can high recommend this Company. Speak to Bruce you will not be disappointed

I hired the company for installing tile,  baseboards, and door trim. The tile is not level, the grout is cloudy, and there were numerous issues with the baseboards and door trim. Bruce didn't offer to help when I sent him photos of the issues, only to call me back after he got back from vacation (after another contractor I hired would need to start on the next part of the job). When I did eventually talk with him, he blamed us for not noticing the issues and guaranteed that the tile was level despite me telling him we used a level to check in multiple places and him never setting eyes on it. I will never recommend Gainey.

Our plan was to finish the flooring we had started replacing with another project, so we already had our tile picked out. Bruce and team came in and finished the job making it look seamless. Highly recommend, and would do business with Gainey again.

This was the second time we used Bruce and Gainey Flooring and it won't be our last. We decided to remove the carpet from our bedrooms and replace them with the same engineered hardwood as the rest of the house. The product in the house was no longer available and Bruce helped us find a replacement that was near perfect. His installer was meticulous and did perfect job of lining up the boards with the existing ones and not using a elevated transition strip into the rooms. They  reattached and caulked in the baseboards and left the job immaculate. I'd attach before and after pictures but I don't have any pictures of that ugly carpet!

Bruce restored my wife and I's faith in Arizona General Contractors and we couldn't have been happier with the results, all of the tradespeople Bruce uses are extremely talented and very personable. We did a guest bathroom project and not only was the outcome better than we expected but all of Bruce's staff offered up excellent suggestions throughout the project.
We would highly recommend Bruce and Gainey Flooring and we will definitely use them in the future.

Gainey Flooring Solutions just finished installing laminate flooring in our entire home.  They did a great job!  I will be recommending them to our family, friends, and neighbors.  

Bruce was great to work with.  He is careful to give accurate estimates and communicates very well.  He is accessible with a phone call, and if we happened to get voicemail, he returned our call within a few short minutes.  He knows the flooring business very well, and his decades of experience gave him the ability to assess our project and give options for completing it that made sense.  

His price was very competitive, fair, and realistic, considering the amount of work to be done.

We had installed laminate in two bedrooms and were planning to do three bedrooms as a simple DIY project.  Once we finished the first two, we realized we liked the "look" so much that we wanted our whole house done.  That would require more demo and floor prep than I was willing/able to do myself, so I called several flooring contractors, including Bruce from Gainey Flooring Solutions.  

Keep in mind, some contractors will not take on a job that has already been started by the homeowner.  Bruce was very understanding and had no hesitation in giving us a plan for completion that suited our situation.  

His crew was experienced, efficient, and very meticulous.  They were able to demo several hundred square feet of ceramic tile and haul off the debris in a timely manner.  The cabinets and rooms were masked effectively, so as to minimize the dust that always results from extensive demos.  

Since floor prep is the key to a good end result, Bruce's crew took extra care to do it right.  

We are VERY HAPPY with our new laminate floor, and would recommend Bruce at Gainey Flooring Solutions to anyone!

We called Gainey to do a master bedroom for us and tie into the rest of the house tile. They got back to us immediately, had very fair pricing, and the work was really high quality. I would strongly recommend them for anyone who needs a medium to large job and Hugh quality work.

We had existing backsplash tile in our home demo'ed and replaced by Gainey, and I'd recommend them to anyone. Bruce was far and away the most responsive and prompt business owner of everyone that I dealt with. Gainey wasn't my lowest bid, but I immediately got the feeling that Bruce's guys would show up when he said they would and do a solid job, and that's exactly what happened. Bruce's company demoed tons of small tile and cleaned up perfectly. Would happily use them again.

Bruce and his team are the ultimate professionals. We had carpet removed and installed new flooring up our stairs and onto our 2nd floor. Herman is true craftsman and was meticulous in his work. They did not cut any corners and went above and beyond on extra floor preparation and custom tailored baseboards. We received several quotes from other flooring companies. Gainey flooring solutions was not the cheapest, nor the most expensive quote we got. However, when you factor in the timely communication, skill, craftsmanship, and quality of work, you can't beat it (And this is coming from someone who really likes a deal). They are licensed, insured, great communicators, true professionals, and only do work the right way. Highly recommend

Its hard to find reliable contractors with good communication in Arizona, and Bruce is one of them.  We had a small project to get done, backsplash install in our kitchen.  Bruce responded to me in a timely manner, came out for an estimate quickly, gave me totally reasonable expectations on timing for install and followed through.  When the time for install came, the installers were on time, communicated well on what they were doing and expectations. I needed help on grout selection and they were really helpful.  They were very pleasant to work with and speak to.  The work was flawless.  

Compared to countless other companies/contractors I tried to engage, Bruce is a true professional and understands what it means to be a reliable service provider.  I'd recommend Gainey Flooring for any project.

What a find this company is! From beginning to end this was a hassle free installation. Bruce the owner is extremely hands on. He came to the house and listened attentively to all our concerns. They have been in business for many years and it showed.
He went out of his way to help my 92 year old father choose the tiles and fittings. It was completely stress free.
They started on time and completed the job within 5 days. Every day Bruce came to speak to his workmen to make sure everyone was on the same page. Also, I have never come across such lovely workmen.

I needed a backsplash installed for my newly renovated kitchen.  I called Gainey Flooring Solutions and the owner, Bruce, answered the call. We agreed on time later that same afternoon for an estimate. Bruce arrived and answered my questions, was helpful, provided insight and options/opinions based on his vast experience and was very professional. He provided a written estimate before he left.

Bruce ordered the tile and received a contractors discount which saved me a couple of hundred dollars. When the tile came in Bruce let me know his team would perform the install the next morning. His guys arrived on time, we're courteous, respectful, helpful and professional during their time in the home. The installation is high-quality and looks terrific. The guys worked clean, protected my new quartz countertop and left my kitchen clean and without any debris.

Gainey Flooring did an excellent job helping us transform our floors.  Bruce was easy to work with and paid attention to the details.  Our house is older and needed some TLC to prep the floors to ensure the tile came out smooth and they really nailed it.  They finished right on schedule too!  Highly recommend if you want the job done right.

It has to be a LARGE amount or he won't do it.  This was for a master bedroom in a 2200 sq ft house.

I found him to sound very snobby, and out for the money.  So ignore all the
reviews of how nice he is.  I found him to judge a job by the money he would make.  He did not even come and measure to see if the room met his demands......ugh.

I received 3 quotes on my flooring project. The scope was to demo and replace old tile with new for about 1600 sf of area including a set of stairs, as well as fill in a conversation room to grade. Gainey Flooring Solutions was not my low bid, but Bruce gave me a better feeling than the other contractors did. My biggest concerns were schedule, and quality of work. Bruce and his team nailed all my expectations. They were done in time and the quality of work is on point. I am already thinking about hiring Gainey Flooring for a couple other projects.

It doesn't get better than this! The entire job was very professional from start to finish. Great care was given to keeping dust minimal (from removal of old tile) by masking and sweeping. Attention to detail to ensure fireplace tile was perfectly placed. Clean up was excellent. Questions were answered throughout the process. This was a very positive experience, an excellent job done very well and in a timely fashion. We highly recommend this company.

I had an amazing experience using Bruce and his team at GFS. I made the decision to contact Bruce after reading positive reviews on Yelp and he has gone way beyond the positive reviews.  I hired Bruce to install my purchased tile and he became so much more than just the company installing my tile.  He coached me through design decisions I hadn't quite made yet and then helped to manage contractors that I had to hire beyond tile install (plumbers, electricians, painters, etc) and worked with me to do a complete overhaul of three bathrooms. The remodel of my new home was a massive undertaking that I chose to do without a GC. Bruce again turned into more than someone to do my tile. He was my coach and guide giving me advice and suggestions along the way. Something he was not hired to do nor required.  He communicated constantly with me and finished on the exact day he said he would. He was reasonably priced and even found ways for me to save some money. This man went above and beyond my expectations and I will forever be grateful for his guidance along the way. Bruce and his team were incredibly helpful, and easy to work with. We were traveling during the first half of our 2,000 sq floor replacement, and they were very considerate to make sure our master bedroom & bathroom were complete before our return, so we didn't have to find a place to stay.

I only got a quote from one other company, which Bruce beat considerably, but after meeting him, I had no interest in shopping any further.

We had Gainey Flooring come out for wood flooring install in three bedrooms, our living room and stairs. Once meeting Bruce, we also decided to have Gainey Flooring tackle our small bathroom. Everything was on time. They do not disappoint!

Our project involved removal of the old upstairs flooring and replacing it with
an interesting pattern.  Bruce's suggestions were spot on perfect.
We were living downstairs while this was going on, and we credit Bruce and his crew with keeping us sane.

We purchased a home in Phoenix that required some of the tile and all the carpet to be replaced in a short time frame. The color of the remaining tile was tricky to match to an LVP product that was in stock and on budget. To complicate things, we were not living in Phoenix during this process.  Bruce went to his suppliers, chose a few products for us to look at and sent photos. He helped us chose a floor that was a fantastic match and an excellent product. Bruce also arranged for a plumber fix a toilet that had been leaking on the old floor. After the floors were replaced, the molding needed replacing. Bruce matched the existing molding installed it and had it painted. All the work was done by the time we arrived to move in.  Bruce is very communicative, he responds to texts, phone calls and emails quickly.

Bruce and his team do an excellent job. Efficient and quick install.  The workers remove all debris and clean up daily. Attention to detail was great. I would highly recommend Bruce and his team.

Bruce and his team are a breath of fresh air and I'm so glad we chose to go with them for our flooring installation! They also did our baseboards and trim around the doors, it looks amazing! They're also very fairly priced and his team truly worked so hard to get our project finished in a timely manner. We had a great experience with Gainey, and Bruce.  The quote was accurate with nothing hidden and Bruce under promised and over delivered on time frame, which is rare. We knew our demo was going to be rough and he warned us the whole process could be up to ten days so the 5 days it actually took, minus a morning if finishing touches, was an awesome surprise. His guys were so meticulous which totally helped keep the dust to a  minimum and I can't find one flaw with their work. They weren't the lowest cost but far from the highest. I had purchased my flooring a few years ago and had it stored in one of the spare bedrooms. I finally decided to have it installed. I received several bids from a couple of contractors but they were not getting back with me. I found Lowe's has a web site called Porch.com and decided to give it a try. Bruce was the first to contact me through the web site. When I spoke with him, I found him to be knowledgeable and kind. He came out to see what I had and wrote up an estimate. He was able to start the next week. The workmanship is master carpentry at its best. The transitions between the hallway and bedrooms match up perfectly and instead of running the flooring up to the brick fireplace and attaching molding, Hermaan chiseled out the mortar and slid the flooring under the brick. No ugly molding outlining the brick fireplace. I have my 90 year old mother living with me,Bruce and the team were so respectful of her by trying to keep the noise down to a minimum. Bruce kept in touch throughout the whole project.
I give Gainey Flooring Solutions the highest praise. Not only are they professional but they are kind. I will try to attach photos of the outstanding workmanship.

Careful, precise, and extremely hard-working, the crew from Gainey Flooring installed our LVP floors like true artisans. It was a big job -- our entire house, including bathrooms -- and it took 10 full days, but the results were worth both the time and the money. Hermann, the lead on the job, anticipated issues I hadn't even considered, and met every challenge with calm professionalism. The owner, Bruce Berey, hires people who are a genuine pleasure to be around. We couldn't be more pleased.

I had a GREAT experience with this company. Dealing with Bruce made everything easy. He told me where to go to pick out tile, and his contact there was friendly and helpful as well. Bruce scheduled everything and was in contact with me about everything that was happening.
The people who work for Bruce are good. They are prompt and professional. The tile was done so well! Amazing. Everything is totally flat. They did amazing work. I had a very difficult upper floor condo that needed very large tiles installed on an uneven surface with large holes that was left behind from a tile removal company.  Bruce was extremely professional and was very knowledgeable about my unique situation.  I had 4 estimates done and not one of them knew how to get around the flooring issue I had.  Bruce had the knowledge and experience throughout while providing great suggestions on tiles, layout, and creative design and completed the project with perfect precision.  He was in constant contact and was at the  project daily to make sure that his team was adhering to the completion timeline.  I honestly could not of asked for better results with the showers and flooring job and to top it off he was the less expensive estimate that I had received.  If you are looking to have any flooring or tile work done Bruce and his team will amaze you with their professionalism, workmanship and experience!

Bruce Berey and Gainey Flooring recently removed our hardwood, carpet and tile floors and installed CoreTec Vinyl Plank Flooring.  Their attention to detail in preparing the floors with  leveling and patching  was outstanding.  Their communication with us during the process was excellent and very much appreciated.  Very fair price and he will work with you on all aspects of your project. Do not pass this review!!! Crooked tiles on my floor CRACKED. Horrendous. I finally had a real tile co. Replace them. Not a floor salesman do the job. Very indecisive business owner. Lied, never showed up for the first three days of the contract, work not completed and imperfections with tile and baseboards.
We signed a contract with Bruce the owner, who we thought to be a bit pretentious in his business attitude speaking down to us but his reviews were good and the work was what's important. Having given him 50% down payment, we went and purchased all of the product to do the jobs. 900sf if floor tile  and our master bathroom. He over estimated by 75sf so I have so much tile grout and schluter in my garage taking up space. We  were to start on a Tues. Bruce told us what we needed to have done for the "crews" to move in, HE ONLY HAD ONE GUY WORKING ALONE THE ENTIRE TIME.
He NEVER SHOWED up that Tuesday morning and NEVER PHONED US to let us know he wasn't coming.
I finally got ahold of him and he said, "I decided we are going to start on Friday morning instead." Keep in mind he never called to let us know we had other contractors lined up that now were needing to be rescheduled as well. Causing our job to fall behind. WAY BEHIND
I was extremely disappointed to say the least and he again speaking down to me provoked a very confrontational conversation to say the least. He said, he doesn't yell blah blah. I said, you don't show up either. I said, give me my money back and I'll move on. We talked it over and discussed a new plan of action. He then had another lie of crews working through Memorial Day weekend. He has one worker that showed up on time, worked very diligently but there are imperfections in our tile, crooked tile, grout that was not filled enough, pockets of grout missing. Bruce NEVER wrote notes down and everyday he had to go over the simple layout of the horizontal 12x24 tile over and over again. The same conversation daily. As though he forgot everything.
It took 3 weeks to complete work, working daily for 9 hrs.
I had lost two contractors to other jobs because he lied about having crews, time line and started later than he said. He went AGAINST his own contract.
The base board was delivered and painted by us before installed. One guy installed the corners one way another did it another way and they NEVER completed the work. Bruce said, i think you'll need to find someone else to do the kitchen backsplash because he was off to Spain on vacation. Leaving without follow up, completing the work and not fixing a thing. I would NEVER work with someone so unprofessional. Beware I have no idea how people give good reviews. He argued with me telling me my own zip code at my Scottsdale home was not correct. Are you kidding me??

We just worked with Bruce for the second time installing additional travertine stone flooring in our home. He's amazing to work with and his crew is outstanding! Always on time and his pricing is so reasonable. You will not be disappointed.

I actually used Yelp to find Gainey after having several other individuals come and look at my flooring he brought samples not only once but twice and made sure that we were totally happy with our selection. Who is indeed correct we went with the third choice he totally went out of his way for this and my wife and I were incredibly pleased.

We could not be happier with yet another completed project by Gainey Flooring Solutions.  The fact that we hired them a second time (January 2020, after the first project two years ago) speaks volumes.  We all know it can be hard to find a trustworthy contractor, but Bruce - and for that matter - his workers, don't disappoint.  Both times we hired Gainey, the craftsmen were just that:  very good at their craft, and what's more, extremely conscientious.  Alex tiled both of our bathrooms, including putting in a new shower pan.  His attention to detail, punctuality, and artistic style are top notch.  Alex both protected our carpets beforehand, and cleaned up every day before leaving.  And Bruce is an excellent communicator, and works hard to keep the project on schedule, evidenced by the fact that he was onsite - five of the total twelve days - to ensure the project was progressing.  Bruce exceeded expectations:  his team completed the work in 3/4 of the projected time.  I would not hesitate to recommend Gainey.

I waited for him to give me an estimate after he returned from a vacation. He shows up and pretty much wasted my time as he walked the house and complained about how hard the job would be and told me about everything negative about doing the whole project. He came out on a Monday and told me he would have the estimate by Friday. He never sent the estimate. He wasted my time. Don't waste your time having him come out and then not bid the job. Poor business ethics in my book.

We used Gainey flooring for several projects and all was well until we had an issue with their work.   Post final payment, and our first time using our new shower we had issues with the plumbing.   Bruce was very helpful during install, however after install that was a different story.   He does not warranty his work and his ego to accept that his workers made a mistake keeps him from giving good customer service.  We now are left with a plumbing issue and he has washed his hands because he knows that to fix the issue he will have to break behind the wall to fix their plumbing mistakes.   If you want someone to back their work do not use them!   I am filing a claim with BBB and also will get this reviewed and fixed and be pursuing legally to be reimbursed for their faulty work.  To say we are disappointed in the professionalism displayed is an understatement.  What a shame to work hard to get work done and people take advantage of you.

We were referred to Gainey Flooring Solutions to remove limestone in 4 bathrooms and a utility room and to replace it with porcelain tile.  From the moment we met, we were comfortable with the owner, Bruce Berey, and felt his bid was fair.  In lightening fashion, we picked a tile, and Bruce's wonderful tile person was in our home for a week including demolition, laying of tile, and cleaning up.  He was a pleasure to have and did a fantastic job.  We are so happy with the whole experience and are thrilled we chose Gainey Flooring, and that the job is over and looks fantastic!

Was referred to Gainey Flooring from my friend Ron, who swore Gainey was the best. His praise was spot on. We had a full-scale remodel of a golf condo near the Biltmore and was pretty nervous because we were in L.A. and couldn't oversee the project on a day-to-day basis. Bruce put us at ease the first time we met. His rates were competitive, his knowledge superb, and the quality was top notch. We needed a quote on flooring for our new office space. I had several people come out. Bruce from Gainey came out to meet with us promptly. He brought samples based on popular, durable options. He left samples behind to help us decide. We gave an ideal date that was hard for anyone to meet. His expertise in design, floor patterns and durabilitymade us very comfortable with the materials we chose. They came the exact day and time given to us. The installers were friendly, non-invasive and worked incredibly fast. Every time I peaked at the space a new section was complete. We could not be happier with the way the office looks, and the compliments we get on the space seem to be never ending.

Bruce and his team refloored my entire Scottsdale house. From the start of the process they were nothing but helpful.

First I flew in from Chicago for a 36 hour visit to pick tile. Bruce drove me all over the valley looking at tile. We went to so many places I lost track, there were at least 8. At the last place I picked something out and brought a sample home. I think I just got tired of looking. When I got the tile home I didn't like it in the house. The next morning, on the way to the airport, Istopped back at the first store and changed my mind to go with a tile I saw in the first ten minutes of the shopping. ( Sorry  Bruce)

The work itself was going to take 10 days. The team( very thorough) ripped out every piece of tile, carpet and what else was there. I stopped by after the demo and before the tile went in. It was broom clean. I asked them to remove the sliding closet doors at the last minute and they were able to accommodate.

Over the course of the remaining 8 days they laid tile on a diagonal throughout a 2400 sq ft house. I stopped by a couple of times near the beginning and near the end. When they were working it was a bit chaotic ( as you would expect) but at the end of the day, after work was done for the day, they did a great job of cleaning up the area so my neighbors were not annoyed by construction materials. The finished work looks great.

The few minor issues are two spots where the grout has a gap (about1/2  inch). Maybe it was a bubble or a low spot. Bruce will come out to fix, I just haven't found the time to call.

This is very dusty work, they did a good job of protecting the existing furniture and general clean. But arrange a cleaning crew the day after the work is done. I also had air duct cleaners in.

Great work, I will definitely use again.

We have been having work done on our house for several months this year. During this time we have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of contractors.  We were fortunate enough to work with Gainey Flooring Solutions.  They were the most professional and skilled of all the contractors we worked with.  The tile work done at our home was a relatively small job but they arrived at our home on time and the work was beautifully done in the amount of time that we were told and best of all it was great to work with them.  We are extremely pleased with Gainey Flooring Solutions and plan to use them again in the near future when we have the rest of our home renovated.

We were scheduled to have another company complete a 4,100 sq. ft. flooring project in our new house. We waited for the previous company for over a month and they never showed up or returned my calls.  I was introduced to GFS by Old World Tile. It was the best recommendation we had ever received. We recently bought a home in N. Scottsdale for the winters and it really needed some updating. We had a shower done and hardwood flooring throughout most of the lower level of the home.

Just getting some flooring contractors out to our home (we are pretty far out there for Scottsdale) was difficult. Bruce showed up on time - gave us a bid within a few days and after reviewing all of our bids we decided Gainey Flooring was the best choice. We couldn't have been more right.

Our floors came out great and the new master shower is just amazing. A bunch of shower heads and Bruce and his crew took care of all of it - including finding a plumber to redo the pipes for the updated shower.

We updated our flooring that was 21 years old. Gainey flooring did some demo and installed the tile I chose from a local tile supplier. They warned me the demo would be dusty. The crew was good at cleaning up after each day. I was very pleased with the final product. They were very meticulous when it came to installing the tile. Bruce is awesome and very patient. Knew his product and made several suggestions that were very helpful. Installers were ok, my only frustration is they didn't speak English and it was hard to communicate what we wanted for transitions. They ended up not doing what was initially agreed but Bruce promptly had them come out and fix it. Overall very happy with the job. One last note if you do install tile against existing carpet make the sure installers have the ability to make the transition look good by tucking the carpet.

Bruce and his team installed wood and tile flooring throughout our house, and they did an amazing job.  The finished product looks great, and Bruce was extremely helpful in guiding our decision making process.  We had just purchased our home, and we had multiple projects going at the time, so there were a few adjustments that were needed as the project rolled along.  But Bruce was accessible and accommodating and visited the job site regularly to make sure everything was running smoothly.

Bruce recently completed his second job with us - and both times I can confidently say he went above and beyond the call of duty.  He truly cares about his customers and wants to make sure that not only the job is done right, but in the end the customer is 100% satisfied.  He made great suggestions and we felt like went he went out of his way to help make sure we chose the the right tile - and continued to help us find samples when we were not sold on anything that we had seen previously.  The crew was on time each day, did a nice job and we are pleased with the finished product.  Bruce stopped over during the installation several times to check on the progress and to make sure we were pleased with the progress.  We will be using him again for our future tiling needs.
