Brown roofing did our roof several years ago. We had an issue with debris and birds recently. I called , and Greg came out and scheduled help and service. They are the best they never forget you!

After getting ALL my information. Not once, but twice, then, a description of what I needed was asked THREE times.
They then told me that they won't do any job valued at under a thousand dollars.
What??
Well, then, if you won't help me with the little stuff, why on EARTH, would I call you for anything important???

Jesse C. came out to bid on our roof. The work we needed was out of scope for the services Brown Roofing provides. Even though we could not work with Brown, Jesse was generous with his time, describing the state our roof, the type of covering it would need, and who might be able to do it.

I really appreciated Jesse's honesty and work ethic being able to say a job can't be completed -- and here's why. I'm hoping this will highlight Brown's dedication to their customers and projects and appreciate the time and thoughtfulness in checking out our roof.

Brown Roofing did an amazing job! From start to finish. Showed up to do the job when they said they were going to. Cleaned everything up. Went above and beyond what I expected. Couldn't be happier! Thank you so much. The new roof adds such a beautiful aesthetic to the house.

We needed our 24 year old tile roof redone, so we got 3 bids and decided on Brown Roofing. They started right on schedule, were quick and thorough. I never thought the roof could be redone so quickly. I also wanted to add a tubular skylight during this process. That installer was a little late arriving to install the skylight and Brown's workers accommodated the delay, with a smile.

I used to be a remodeling contractor, and if I was still in that business,  Brown Roofing would be my go to roofer.

I'm always hesitant to leave a review so soon after the job, so we will see. But to this point, we were/are extremely pleased with Brown Roofing. We do our research with a project like this and were impressed with them every step of the way.

We moved into our house last year and knew we would need a new roof soon. It turns out it was sooner than we thought as we had leaks during a recent monsoon.

Jessie was knowledgeable and told us exactly what we needed without any high-pressure sales like some other companies. As others have said, they are not the cheapest or the most expensive, but they are great to work with and so far we are very pleased with the results.

Craig, the owner makes sure to check in on each project. But let's not forget the actual roofers, they were always right on time and worked their tails off!

Recently had Brown Roofing do a roof replacement on our 2 story house in Peoria. The project couldn't have gone smoother. They are very knowledgeable and their communication was great. They did exactly what they said they were going to do and when they said they'd do it. I would recommend them to anyone. They made the entire process very smooth and enjoyable.

We knew we needed to replace the roof on our small condo. We asked a few neighbors, got a few bids, and chose Brown because the company was very responsive & Craig the owner was very detailed and transparent in his inspection & proposal. The work was extremely thorough & professional. Craig explained everything they would do and how it would be done. The follow up was immediate. The crew also did a great job cleaning up. Debbie, who does the scheduling & coordinating was so helpful & pleasant to communicate with. We would definitely use again and recommend

Fair price with quality results.  Brown Roofing did an outstanding job on replacing the underlayment on my roof.  Jesse and Craig were both very responsive and provided details throughout the job.  They did the work on the stated timeline, cleaned up after each day, and ended the job leaving my yard cleaner than it was when they first arrived.  Replacement boards were painted and with the three-inch bird-stop, the roof now looks refreshed and updated.  After solar panels were installed, Jesse quickly came back to inspect the roof to ensure no damage was done.  Should anything arise in the future, I feel confident they will respond quickly.  Definitely a company with integrity, quality workmanship, and a focus on customer satisfaction.

I had my tile roof underlayment replaced by Craig a month ago or so. The entire process went very smoothly, from getting quotes to after the job. I received quotes from a half dozen roofers, and while Craig wasn't quite the cheapest (he was close), for what we received, he was hands down the best value. He does double layer underlayment as a standard, which is an upgrade from most other roofers, includes birdstop, additional roof vents, skylight replacement, has a better warranty, etc.

He is professional, his crews were prompt and cleaned up the property at the end of every day, and he worked well with my AC crew that was scheduled in the middle of the roof job to swap out the AC unit. Craig was also flexible to handle the additional requests I made throughout the job without nickel and diming me.

After the job was complete, we had some wind pick up and some very minor damage. Craig was prompt in coming out and making the adjustments to the roof as needed.

I had actually asked Craig to give me a quote 5 years ago for the same scope of work. His current price, compared to his price from 5 years ago, had a very reasonable increase. Considering the current climate, shortages, price increases, etc. I did not feel like I was being gouged, unlike many other roofers.

I'm a picky customer and usually don't get along well with contractors. But Craig is one of the few contractors I've actually been happy with! If I ever have to do another roof again, I'll definitely be hiring Brown Roofing.

We had Brown Roofing do repairs to ours and a number of roofs in our HOA community in central Phoenix late last year. We were very pleased with their work. We were so pleased that when it was time for additional repairs, Brown was who we called. They did a great job!
GM Jesse came out promptly to do the inspection. Then, that was it. We never received a quote, and we and our management company have contacted Debbie at the Brown office a number of times to receive the quote. This was many many weeks ago, so we started looking for another company.
I made one last try, both an email and a call to Debbie and Jesse and was told more than a week ago that Jesse would call me that day. No call then or ever.
Debbie did tell me they were so busy they're booked into January 2022. Maybe we could have gotten on that schedule if Jesse or someone there wanted our business?
It's too bad because we were pleased with their work, just not their responsiveness.

This was a 1700 sq. ft. home with a 41 year old tile roof and two leaking skylights on the Arizona room begging the question what will they find under there? The job was completed in less than three days within the cost estimate and I honestly have to say that the completed results of the two new roofs could not have been completed with more attention to detail or constructed more perfectly than if they had done the work on their own homes. The owner Craig, Jessie and all employees have demonstrated what a real quality company can be and has given me a renewed respect for the roofing industry in general. Extraordinary!

Brown Roofing did an amazing job replacing our roof. Craig and the crew arrived on time and got right to work. They were the only company who offered to install a ridge venting system, instead of the turbines. The ridge vents look much better than the old, outdated turbine vents. They also installed/replaced our skylight with a better quality one, and it looks amazing. Overall I am very happy with the work they did and the professionalism that I experienced with everyone involved. Highly recommended!

Not sure how I went from having such a great experience a few years  ago to such a bad one. Brown just doesn't seem to want my business.  After completing a  re-roof a few years back, I called brown to look at a patio roof we skipped at the time.  

After initially having a lot of trouble even getting in contact ( I emailed Dean multiple times , the person who originally ran my  project, but i guess he doesn't work there which is a shame  cuz now I realize he was the one who made it such a good experience) - no response from the emails to dean, no auto reply that the email isn't valid or Dean doesn't work there) I sent a yelp message and never got a reply. I work long hours, much longer then this office is open and it's hard for me to call during work, but i never got a response via email or yelp. eventually I was able to connect via phone and set up a time for someone to come out and provide an estimate

I was told I would get an email confirmation, I didn't. No reminder or confirmation call the day of, I called the office back to make sure they were still coming. This is really frustrating, I have to shift things around in my household and schedule to accommodate a mid day visit, so at least confirm your gonna be there.  I learn the visit is confirmed and someone comes out, looks at the roof, tells my wife this will be expensive and we will get an email estimate

I wait all day, no estimate. I call the office again the next day  and ask when am I going to get an estimate? I hear those aren't prepared for two business days ( would be great if that's what the guy told us) but ok fine. My estimate should have arrived on Monday, now it's Saturday.

For a company I previously spent like 15k with, and gave  5 stars on Yelp, I'm  shocked how disappointing this experience is and how little it seems they care about my experience as a customer , and a previous customer at that. If they are this flakey in winning my business, how well Will they actually do the job?

I needed a new roof and had gotten 5 estimates Brown being the last one. Their estimate was the most detailed stating exactly what they would be doing and how much. No hidden fees like the other companies who said there could be unforeseen costs once the see what's underneath.  There were also things Brown was giving me that the others weren't like new vents. I went with them and I am so happy I did. There were no surprises the job went well no problems and they were a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend them

Our first rain since we got our roof put on and it was such joy watching all that water runoff so clean with the new Flashing everywhere!!! LOL...I  was so worried about the roof condition because of bad flashing until we had you do our roof! I woke up last night with our first rain since the re-roof...ran outside and looked at the water flashing of our roof with such amazement!! Just had my roof done by Brown Roofing. These people couldn't have been more professional and reliable. Cleaned up their mess every day to make sure there was no debris anywhere around the house, pool, etc. The job looks great too. Come to find out, they've done dozens of homes in my area with absolutely no complaints. Definitely recommend them and there price was great too.

Called to schedule a service appointment for my client. I was told the person scheduling was processing invoices and would call me back to schedule an appointment. No call...I called back and left a message to request a return call, no call yet. Just attempted to call them back and it went to voicemail.

Two stars because I did speak to a person and they were pleasent and professional, no more stars because it is not the customers job to hound the business to do work or follow up.

Looks like I am moving to the next company on the list. Had high hopes based on numerous reviews.

*Update...downgraded to 1 star. After no calls and the message this morning, within 3 minutes of leaving a review Debbie called me, said she was a little concerned with my review said she had invoices yesterday and phones were busy today. Interesting that as soon as the review was left I became a priority for her to call.

She also was audible unpleased, which I understand however, after giving an extra star for professionism, I removed one for the lack of the same reason.

Did call another company, answered on the second ring and scheduled me right away...very pleasent experience.

I hired Brown Roofing several weeks back to do a complete underlayment replacement on my concrete tile roof after having had two other contractors do inspections and submit proposals (one of which I liked quite a bit).

First-off, the man who got up on the roof and assessed the situation was Craig Brown himself. He arrived right on time and was extremely thorough in his assessment and explanation of what he intended to offer (and why he needed to offer it). He left me with a high degree of confidence that he knew his stuff, and that his roofing guys were well-led. He was booked for a solid month before we could begin.

He promised us a specific start date and they delivered on it. The workers were courteous and professional, and just did their work very efficiently. Craig said it would take 4+ days and that's exactly what it took. The workers left the job site cleaner than they found it. Craig even did me a solid by having his guys toss some demo'd sheetrock from my patio ceiling into his dumpster, and he did not need to offer that to me.

What I liked most was Craig's flat-rate pricing. No baiting me with extra cost per linear foot of 2x6's, or sheets of plywood. Other roofers had some extra ways of extracting more $ out of the job. The price in my proposal is what I paid.

After the job was completed, Craig scheduled a follow-up visit to answer questions and to handle payment. My experience was good enough for me to recommend to others. One of my better contracting experiences here in the valley in 12 years.

I am so impressed with Brown Roofing. They replaced my roof 5 years and I was so happy with everything that I called them back when I had some issues. I was fortunate enough to get Jesse to come out. Turns out it was actually my A/C not draining off the roof but into the roof, so even it was no issue with their workmanship, Jesse recommended an HVAC tech who was out the next day. Jesse then came back after the work was complete to make sure everything was OK with the roof...no charge. I can't say enough good things about this business. If you are lucky you will get to work with Jesse who is a credit to this business. Debbie in the office is great too!

We hired Brown Roofing to redo our 20 year old roof. They were wonderful. Craig explained everything very clearly during the estimate process (we got 3 quotes and they were all comparable). The crew was very professional, got the job done quickly, and literally left no mess behind. When the recent rainstorms cause our chimney cap to blow off (which had nothing to do with our roof redo), Craig sent someone out that day to do emergency tarp service. We really appreciated that as rain was coming into our house. I never hesitate to recommend Brown Roofing to all my friends and neighbors.

I can't say enough good things about Brown Roofing. No, he was not the lowest quote of my 5 quotes. However, his quote was all inclusive. The other quotes I received were contingent on not finding any other problems after the roof was stripped. Craig Brown made me feel comfortable that the price quoted was the price I was going to pay. He took the time to walk me around my home pointing out exactly what he was doing, and was the only roofer who also explained WHY he was doing it (ex. Why he was replacing the whirlybirds with a ridge vent system). His crew arrived on time and got right to work. I was very impressed with the crew. Not only were they efficient in what they were doing, but many times throughout the day they cleaned the worksite, never letting it get messy. Chris, I'm assuming a job supervisor, kept me informed and answered any questions I had, pointing out the work they were doing, such as replacing facia boards and cutting in the new ridge vents. Needless to say, 3 full days later, the job was complete. They cleaned up, ran a giant magnet over my backyard and driveway to make sure no stray nails were left behind. I highly recommend Brown Roofing.

What a great company!  From getting the quote to the finished job, they were on top of all of it!  Craig arrived right on time for the quote, told us exactly what to expect, and follow through after all was complete.  His crew was timely every day and cleaned up around our home at the end of each day.  The last day of the job, they went through with a magnet to make sure no roofing nails remained!  My husband and I are very pleased with the professionalism and courtesy of the group as a whole. Total professionals from start to finish.  Called and Debbie scheduled a time for the estimator to come out to provide an estimate for a roof recoat.  He was on-time, courteous, informative and thorough.  We asked a lot of questions so we could compare Brown Roofing to the other companies that we had gotten bids from.  Jesse spent the time to make sure all our questions were answered and we understood exactly what was included in the bid.  Jesse said that they didn't need an initial deposit which we had always been asked to provide to other roofing companies.

We made a great decision.  The crew arrived on time , they left the site clean each day and were very responsive and friendly.  The owner, Craig Brown came quite a few times to ensure things were going well and to check the quality of work and to answer any of our questions.    It wasn't until Craig deemed the project perfect and we agreed that fit was everything we could hope for.

I just got done doing about $60k in renovations to a house in Laveen Arizona, involving new windows, new landscaping and irrigation, new carpet, new countertops and new underlayment for my concrete tile roof. About a year ago, after a strong storm, I noticed a leak and decided I needed a roofer to take a look. After reviewing websites and reviews across the State and web, I chose 5 reputable companies to come out and give me a bid. HANDS DOWN Craig, Jesse, and Debbie at Browns Roofing, even before they came out to give me a quote, were different (and better). Jesse came out to give me a quote and was actually the last company to do so. This was more so that they just happened to be the last company i called of the group. Of the 5 companies, Brown was the only one to actually really talk to me about my issue - a leak I noticed after a strong storm. Most of the other companies showed up, threw a ladder up, and gave me a generic quote based solely on the size of my roof - none of the other 4 asked me about my issues or even talked to me above I will email you a quote in a few days. Jesse took some time with me to ask what i was experiencing, then after reviewing the roof, actually told me he might have fixed the problem for free. He had noticed a tile that had slid slightly out of place( I had thrown a tennis ball up on the roof for a puppy and didn't realize i had actually damaged the roof in doing so) and created a small pocket that was catching water behind the tile, and thus caused the leak over time. He advised that that might have fixed the issue, but to call him if i had any other issues. I didn't for about a year, until another strong storm hit and actually damaged the other part of my roof. Remembering my great experience, I called Brown Roofing again, and asked them to come out again and that I actually for sure needed repairs this time. They were happy to hear from me and set up a date to come out and give me a formal quote. As I still had the quotes from the other 4 companies, i was surprised to see that Brown was actually the best deal as well. With my great experience with them so far, and their stellar reviews online, I felt confident in moving forward. As they are really good at what they do, it was a month or so wait until they could get me on the schedule, as the same strong storm that hit my place, hit a bunch of other houses as well, so every roofing company was quite booked up. Once they came out, they made quick work of the job which took a total of 3 days. Every day, the team cleaned up before leaving for the day - very thoroughly. Other than when they were cleaning at the end of the days, they were basically in the front of the house and on the roof, and so my dogs were still able to go out in the backyard to use the bathroom, which was nice. After the job was done, Craig came out to do a thorough inspection and even found a few more nails and such that I didn't even see when I looked, that the crew had left after their last cleaning. I was amazed at how great their customer service was throughout the whole job, and even after. Of all the contractors I have ever worked with, I must say that Brown takes the cake. I only wish I had more jobs to give them, or that they did more than just roofing! Just use Brown Roofing - they are the best.

If you're looking for a honest, well established, roofing company that doesn't have the overhead costs of a larger outfit, look no further. I chose Brown Roofing after receiving bids from a half dozen other companies.  Each company that gave a bid, tried to push selling points. All of which turned out to be industry standards. Absolutely no corners were cut in materials or workmanship.  

Out of all the bids, Craig was the only one to notice that my roof lacked ventilation and included 7 vents in the price.  There are no pricing tables for extra facia board, plywood, everything is included in the quote.  When compared to the other established roofing outfits, Craig was not only the best priced, but also the best value.  I'm sure I could have found a lower price, but they probably would not be in business through the end of their warranty.

I can not recommend this outfit enough.

I live in tatum ranch and have been watching several roofing companies repairing roofs in my neighborhood. I had gotten four quotes and then watched brown roofing do a repair across the street from me and was so impressed with the job they did and the time it took I had craig brown give me a quote and hired them to do my roof. These guys are fast professional and did the job better than any other roofing companies I had been watching the past few months. Give Brown Roofing a try you wont be disappointed.

BECAUSE YOU PULLED UP TO MY HOUSE AT SIX THIRTY IN THE MORNING ON A SUNDAY WITH YOUR CAR RADIO BLARING SO LOUD YOU WOKE THE ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD!

I get that work can be noisy. Y'all are running a saw right now, and that's fine by me, because the wood's gotta get cut and the hammers gotta hammer. But super loud radios are not necessary for getting the work done. Let's try to be a little more professional, thanks.

I am a first time homebuyer and needed a new roof. I was searching for days and was getting a little tired especially with seeing so many bad reviews. I came a cross Brown Roofing and after talking to Jessie and having him come out to give me a quote I had a good feeling. I had appointments with other companies but Jessie was so informative and pleasant that it wasn't a hard decision to make. Scheduling did take a long time but I think it was worth the wait. Being a first time homebuyer and not knowing much about repairs especially roofing can put you on edge when dealing with people and hoping you don't get taken advantage of. Thank you Jessie and Craig!

Brown Roofing did a tremendous job! I got estimates from the three highest rate roofing companies on yelp, google and the BBB. While Browning Roofing wasn't the lowest cost, he was all inclusive (i.e. fixed price). A fix cost contractor is a rare gem! No worries about anything that might have been missed in the estimate. Having dealt with other contractors that have nickeled and dimed me in the past.  This is a big plus!  

Craig's crew started and finished when they said they would. Craig and his crew kept me informed on a daily basis. These guys knew what they're doing and they did it efficiently. I was impressed not only with their work, but they did a good job of cleaning up at the end of each day.

To bottom line, it: I strongly recommend Brown Roofing. Brown roofing is a lot like Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, they're not good, they're great!

We recently decided to have our tile roof repaired, i.e. tile removal and replacement of the underlayment which was 24 years old. Of 4 estimates by top Phoenix Metro area roofing contractors, we selected Brown Roofing (owner Craig Brown) in Phoenix to do the job for 5 primary reasons, i.e. lowest price, good reviews, good credentials, referral discount and an open, honest, and personal/personable on site estimate by Craig Brown. Craig's crew did an excellent job which was completed on time and within the cost estimate. There was also a two-day rain delay and Craig's crew's work-around was totally successful. We wish to openly thank Brown Roofing (Craig) for a job well done! Additionally, the dark brown facer and bird-stopper flashing turned out to be just perfect.

An added note for future roof repair seekers, make sure you read the estimate for your job
thoroughly. One of the five roof repair contractors actually put a clause in his estimate that his crew could have full access to and use of our in-home personal bathroom...ugh!

Craig and his crew just finished our roof a week ago, and things could not have gone smoother or more efficiently. Our neighborhood is now about 29 years old and most residents are having the tile removed and new underlayment installed.
Because my family owned a multi generational contracting business, I tend to be picky and cautious. In this case, we had 4 estimates - including contractors that had worked on our neighbors' homes.
Craig had been referred to me by my brother-in-law after doing a terrific job on their north Scottsdale combo flat-tile roof.
When Craig came out to meet us, it was clear immediately that he was more detailed and thorough. Some of the previous contractors simply stood in the front driveway and never even walked around the house or accessed our backyard.
As far as pricing, his estimate was right in the middle of the rest of the quotes that were offered to us. However, his quote Included a lot of small details that other contractors did not include in their work or even mention.

Craig's office manager (Debbie) was easy to communicate with and always responded promptly to any email or question.
When the work started, it was inevitably the day before a monsoon storm was predicted-and the efficiency of the crew was amazing. The underlayment  was finished by the morning of the 2nd day as size of our crew suddenly doubled and the tile went on in a day .....beating the arrival of the late-day storm.
The smaller details were finished the 3rd day. (They even paint your fascia). And they left the yard cleaner than when they arrived.
Craig visited a few days later to check the job with my husband and answer any questions.
Only when you approve the work does he accept final payment.
This job couldn't have gone smoother or easier. I highly recommend Craig Brown!

They replaced my roof about 5 years ago w 10 year warranty.  We had a leak during December storm with drywall damage and when I called for repair the voicemail said they were on vacation for 3 weeks.  Still waiting for call back.

Craig contacted me after the holidays and was out quickly to check the leak.  Leak was not caused by roof but by debris in the gutters that blocked drainage and water went around stucco.   He removed debris, repaired stucco and will be repairing drywall too even though it wasn't his fault--excellent service!

We had a water leak show up around a window after the last week of rain. We weren't sure if it was a roof or window problem, so contacted both contractors. Our usual experience is that it can take several days / weeks before roofers get out to assess -- but in this case, Jesse from Brown roofing responded immediately. He came out to check up our concerns the next business day. He determined that the issue was small stucco leak around the window.  Good news for us, as easier fix. No business THIS time for them, but based on other people's excellent reviews, and their prompt response and excellent customer service we will contact them again when roof concerns crop up.

Very highly recommend. Craig is amazing to work with. Very knowledgeable and thorough. We have a tile roof with many difficult angles, pitches, and valleys and his team did a phenomenal job. Very professional and friendly. We have worked with many contractors over the years and Brown Roofing has been a gem!!! I am so impressed with them and very pleased with the their work.

I bought my house in Scottsdale a year ago. The house is 21 years old. I wanted to start planning  and budgeting major expenses. I'd seen a number of houses in my community needing new roofs so I though that might be one of the first expenses.

The office was able to schedule Craig about 10 days after I called for an inspection.  I'm sure if I had a leak he would have been scheduled earlier. But considering the recent heavy rains it was thoroughly understandable that there was a slight delay.

When Craig arrived his initial thought was that it might be time because of the average age of houses in that area. H also suggested I get three estimates.

He went up checked the roof tile and underlayment in 6 areas, took photos to show me and identified areas that the previous owner had repaired just before I bought the house. Craig came off the roof, told me the repairs looked good and solid and that I could sleep soundly. No need to replace now. No charge.

When it comes time to change that roof Brown's Roofing is my first call. If you just want an inspection, he will be honest and not tell you need a replacement when you don't.

Brown Roofing was one of 5 other companies I had provide me an estimate for my flat roof. I chose them not only because of the fair quote they provided, but also having spoken with Craig and the reassurance he provided me that they would do the best job. Another company I considered, which was a substantially higher quote, also recommended Brown Roofing which spoke volumes to me. Not only is he knowledgeable and personable, but even his competitors spoke highly of him and the work his company does. Brown Roofing is not like other companies who care more about their profit at the expense of the customer. He took the time to give me his professional opinion about what needed to be fixed and fully explained what the process would entail. Although they weren't able to schedule my re-coat for a few months due to scheduling (understandable given it was peak season), they completed the job seamlessly and were very professional.

My roofing job was completed in May 2019, however, last night another monsoon came through my neighborhood which caused water to leak through the same areas in my home that I had problems with before I had my roof fixed. I called and left a voicemail, and not only did they call me back the very next morning (today), but Craig also came by to look at the damage (same day). I normally do not write reviews, but 100% stand by my decision to choose Brown Roofing, since they offered not only to fix whatever was not repaired properly the first time, but also take care of any of the damages that were caused due to the error. They stand behind their work and I would recommend them to anyone looking for an upstanding company to hire for a roofing job. There's a reason they have so many positive reviews. Thank you Craig!

As others have observed, this company can come across as rude and kinda flaky. We called hoping to get an estimate on our roof and got a somewhat brusque, our equipment is down so we can't help. Bizarre. We got a referral which I guess was okay, but not the best experience.

Jesse is very professional.  He explained things very well and very patient, reachable and responsive.  The crew showed up on time and did a great job.  We looked at 3-4 estimates and decided to go with Brown Roofing because the customer service seems to be better than others.  Also the quote from Brown Roofing, you are given straight forward one price for the job (in my case, full tile roof replacement), unlike some other companies, that have options like best, better / good for customer to choose, which does not make sense to me.  The owner did show up to ensure the work was done properly.  After the job was completed, they did leave extra tile roof for us....just in case.  Thank you Jesse and Will recommend Brown Roofing to others.

Don't bother contacting this company for just a repair, they have no time for you unless you plan to spend major cash.  I wasn't sure of what I needed (the reason for my call) but was informed that if I wasn't planning on a new roof I would need to wait until sometime in January.  There are plenty of companies out there who are more than happy to compete for my business.  Thank you!

With a 20 year old cement tile roof, I decided to have valley roofing companies inspect the roof and provide free quotes to replace the underlayment, and any damaged tiles, plywood and trim.  When I called Brown Roofing, I found Debbie to be courteous and professional in scheduling an inspection.   The owner, Craig Brown, promptly came out and provided a reasonable price estimate.  Brown did not require an initial deposit as other roofing companies did.
   Just prior to the job, Debbie confirmed the appointment.    The crew arrived on time,  with Craig being there to see that the work started properly.   During the three days that the crew worked on the project,  they appeared to be knowlegeable, hard-working and efficient.  They cleaned up the debris every day after work.   They were very careful at the end of the job to make sure that the property was thoroughly cleaned up.  Craig did the final inspection of the work to make sure that everything was done to his standards.

   Since the idea of a roofing job like this could have been very nerve-wracking for me as the property owner, the process that I went through with Brown Roofing put me at ease throughout the process.
    I would highly recommend Brown Roofing for any similar job.

We had some heavy rains and one of my rooms had a leak. The owner Craig Brown came out to diagnose. He took a look at my damage in the room then said ensure I get three quotes from other companies. He then went to the roof and returned a few minutes later with a rock. It was lodged in an area that caused our water leak. He said our roof was in good shape and our leak problem was resolved. He did not charge for his visit. I was so impressed with his integrity!! I would definitely recommend his company to family and friends! It rained the next day and just like Craig stated, leak was gone.

Fantastic work.  I had several leaks, and Craig and his guys came out, handled all the issues, and as it turns out, the job was bigger then expected, yet they got it done on time and at budget.  If you are looking for the best roofer on a budget, and within the history to be around if there are issues in the future...  I will always recommend Brown Roofing.

I had another company quote some repairs and they recommended a complete re-roof. Called Brown Roofing and a few days later Craig, the owner, came out to take a look. He was actually early, very personable, and went up to take a look. He gave me an estimate that I felt was very fair, encouraged me to get more quotes and explained what to look for in those other quotes to ensure I was comparing apples to apples. Lastly he told me that yes my roof was old, but no, he didn't think I needed a new one right now. It doesn't get more honest than that. When the time comes, I'll definitely be calling again.

I needed a new roof after the hail storm of 2010 and a coworker referred  Brown Roofing so I had Craig come give me an estimate..he was my third estimate and his estimate came in under the other 2 with more options(adding ridge vents and extra venting).  

I decided to go with his company and I couldn't have been more satisfied.  They did a beautiful job and did it very fast. They changed lots of rotten wood and fascia boards and everything was cleaned up after each day. It was a total stress free experience.

My husband and I researched several different roofing companies and found the level of experience, length in business, organization, and reviews and ratings to be impressive for Jim Brown and Sons Roofing.  Initially, Dan, the Project Manager came out to assess the roof, share the process and materials that their company uses, took pictures to explain why it was necessary to reroof the entire roof, and not just repair areas that were leaking.  He also went over pricing.  He was very knowledgable and caught some things that should have been done when the house was built, that seem to have been overlooked.  We were also impressed that he made several trips out to the house to see how the roof was coming and did a final inspection.

Mark was the Resident Superintendent.  He came out the day the project started and introduced the crew, checked materials, and informed us on how the project would proceed.  We were impressed that he was out almost daily to check the quality of the job and see how the crew was progressing.  Mark also did a final roof inspection when the job was completed.

The crew, Antonio and Julio, were polite, conscientious, hard working, and punctual.  They took the job seriously and cleaned up well afterward.  

We had new gutters installed.  Peter was in charge of having them installed.  He was patient and willing to work with us on specific requests.  He also came out to inspect the quality of the job.  Daniel and AJ did a great job, and again, they cleaned up well afterward.

JBS Roofing made this whole process easy because of their organization and attention to details.  When I had a question, my phone call was responded to quickly.  Any requests I made were taken care of immediately as well.  

My husband and I were very impressed with their honesty, organization, quality of their work and their work ethic.  We would highly recommend them if you are considering any type of roof repair or replacement.

I called to setup an estimate. I was greeted with the reception and oodles questions and the end found out they don't do estimates on the weekends. An opportunity for back and forth communication would save time for everyone and I wouldn't have to worry about them selling all my information to gawd knows who.

Update- The owner quickly called and was concerned about the negative yelp rating, he wanted to make it right and assured me they don't sell customer info. Also gave me some good advice about what to watch out for locally when looking for a roofer. I adjusted my rating to ok and may even call him back.

I meant to post a review earlier and today's rain served as a reminder of just how GRATEFUL I am for Brown Roofing. Craig and his team are absolutely wonderful and goodhearted generous people that by the way do a GREAT JOB!  We really struggled to have the roof repaired in preparation of opening our dog rescue until Craig stepped up to task and helped us.  Today everything is nice & dry, no leaks or FLOODS that we experienced in the past.

Craig brown just finished replacing our tile roof. This was the best experience we have had with a contractor.  I am in my 70's and have had many contractors over the years.  Craig explained everything when I first met with him and gave us a start date.  Craig was here from day 1 and checked in person everyday to oversee the job.  His workers are polite, professional and did a great job.  From before start to finish we have not had one problem.  They left the property cleaner when they finished than when they began.

His pricing is more reasonable and the quality of work impeccable.  You won't regret hiring brown roofing.  No, I am not related to anyone at brown roofing.  It sounds like I am his mother.  I am just a totally satisfied customer!

Dean came out to give me an estimate on my tile and flat roofs last year.  I had already got 2 quotes before his.  I had Dean come out a year later after we sprung a leak in the bedroom this year!  He asked me some questions about my additional leaks on my flat roofs at my scuppers and proceeded to go up top and do a long inspection. I was supplied a new quote hard paper within 24 hours.  I like what we spoke about and what was on the quote and the extra's they included in the job the others just never spoke about.  Yes this was a big job 15K.

WOW, Dean what a great guy not only did he want to reassure me this job would be taken on as if it was his house own roof!  He went over in high detail his quote for both the flat and tile roofs and all the materials used in doing the whole new roof and the time line of job when how long what to expect and what was next in each step in the process !  I was blown away by how honest he was and not trying sell me something I did not need!  30 days later work got started!  1st day tear off, 2nd day tear off and delivery of roof products on RWP crane truck on the roof, 3rd day new underlayments, tile batons, wood  repairs on fascia boards while at least 5-6 guys working from 7am till 3pm everyday....actually one day they had 8 here, counting Dean the General Manager and even Craig Brown Owner on 3 days also involved in the job at the job site!

These guys picked up every day, brought in the truck to load all used material to haul away each day.  Brought in all their own equipment, handle all the wood replacements throughout the roof as needed.  They did all the final cleanup, perfectly, they did the painting on all new metal, new wood and flashings that no other companies would have done! They also did an acrylic coating on my patio roof over and above the contract as a favor to me. These guys rocked the roof and worked with me very well and I'm very particular in my needs.

Very impressed with the results of my roofing project.  The quote covered just about everything, the crew showed up on time every day, cleaned up the work site very well every day.
I had a last minute request to open a section of roof so I could look at the insulation in that area, and they worked with me with no complaints.
At the end of the job, visible wood that was replaced was  painted to match, and the yard was scoured for trash and nails.

Brown Roofing did an excellent job on a small repair to my roof after a monsoon windstorm blew some shingles off. Craig Brown arrived on time and offered an excellent price. The repair was quick. Good to have a reliable go-to company for roofing.

We had to schedule our roof replacement months in advance due to a wet winter.  A few days before the start of the project, Brown Roofing called me to confirm the schedule.  We were supposed to start the project on Monday.  Sunday night it sprinkled so on Monday Brown Roofing dropped off some of the materials and did not start the job in case it rained again.  And that night it poured!  It was a very smart move to delay the start of the roofing job.  The next morning Craig Brown was at our house personally inspecting the roof and going over the expectations.  The crew worked well and the job got done by Friday afternoon.  They cleaned up everything and ran the magnet around the house to pick up all the nails.  In the end, my roof looks great and the job cost me less than what they had quoted!  Great job and highly recommend.

I see many reviews from folks in Glendale, Peoria and other suburbs of the far NW valley.  I see reviews for Chandler, Tempe and Sun Lakes.  I called to day and was told they don't service Avondale.  The coverage map here more than covers Avondale.

The roof on my house was 20 years old and was starting to show its age.  As part of the process we sought out reviews on Yelp and from our neighbors.  Brown roofing was by far the most highly recommended.  Still we got bids from four other roofers as well as Brown.  Craig came out himself to inspect the old roof and was a total professional in preparing and relaying his bid.   After settling on Brown the process of getting the new roof was smooth and concise  The workers were professional and obviously highly skilled at their job.  The completed job looks great and though we have only had one small rain storm the roof is doing what one would expect a new roof to do.   I highly recommend this contractor if you are looking for any type of roof repair/replacement.

He saved us a significant amount of money by adivsing what we did NOT need one. The bid was significantly lower than two other 5-star Yelp companies who came out. During the roof repair, he saw additional work we needed done and he performed it at no cost to us. He walked the entire process through from the initial visit to the final inspection. I was very impressed. we will continue to use Brown Roofing for future maintenance and repair.

We had several quotes for a new roof. Even though we had received a lower quote from another company we felt good about Craig and his fair estimate. It was a bit of a bumpy start with scheduling for our project but when the work was done Craig and his team did a great job. In the end we have been very happy that we chose Brown Roofing.  I typically do not write reviews, however, I know a new roofs are a costly investment. I used Yelp to help aid our decision on what companies to contact due to reviews.  With that said, I wanted to leave a positive review for his company as our roof looks great and his team did a good job.

We've been in Arizona over 20 years and this is the first new roof we've had to put on. Our roof was 17 years old and we are planning to put solar on so we wanted the roof done before that. I spent 3+ weeks conducting due diligence. I have no prior knowledge of what's required for a quality roof in Arizona, but after receiving nine estimates from roofers and questioning them all on what works best I had a solid understanding of what I wanted. I put all nine estimates on a spreadsheet side by side and compared BBB ratings, Yelp Rating, Az Corp Commission information, construction materials, types of vents being installed, additional tile required, etc etc and Brown Roofing was a clear winner. They weren't the lowest cost, but they were the best value when you weigh out all of the factors. Craig and Debbie were very easy to work with. Their team showed up on time, worked hard for the six days that was required and did an exceptional job. They also cleaned up extremely well. With the two layers of SBS we put on I'm confident we'll have a quality roof for the next 25 years.

Called and left voice mail messages on 10/22 at 10:20am and 3:30 on 10/23. On 10/24 I got a call back from Debbie who said they don't do repairs/patching. I explained what our roofing issues were and let her know we likely need more than a patch job and so she said she would call me back after she got the schedule for next week. It's now 10/28 and she still never called me back. I guess they don't need the business.

I had a leak through one of my exhaust fans on the roof leaking through the laundry room exhaust fan.  Craig came out and fixed it in one minute at no charge.  He said the roof looked fine and would be okay since we were selling in 3 weeks.  He said there were some minor issues an inspector might find but not to worry.  The first roofer that came out wanted $16,500 to do the whole roof before we sold it or $1,500 to repair the leak.

We interviewed several roofing companies. We decided on Brown Roofing. Craig gave us a lot more information with his presentation than the other roofers. I really liked the fact that the company was owner/operated.  His crew surpassed our expectations. They were the most efficient and hard working people ever. Their attention to detail was phenomenal. They obviously take a great deal of pride with their work and it shows. We were very impressed from start to finish!

I had two companies out to bid on a large section of my tile roof that needed repair due to leaks. Craig came in at a lower price and did exceptional work, on time, as scheduled, good cleanup and good communication. I just had him out for a minor repair and he was all over it. Would definitely trust him again with any roofing project, large or small.

I wish I had seen the previous reviews about them not wanting to do simple or less lucrative repairs. I initially inquired about their services via their website, but after not hearing back for a few days, I called and left a message that we were looking for an estimate to repair our garage roof. I received a phone call back within 24 hours of my voicemail, which was great, but the woman whom I spoke with was far from that. After first begrudgingly asking me why I called (I had stated as such in the voicemail), she asked me what kind of roof it was and other various details. I gave her as much information as I could, only for her to then tell me they aren't doing repair estimates because they are booked out until April. If you already knew that you were supposedly booked out that far and weren't offering estimates, why not state as much before asking all of those questions? Then when I thanked her for letting me know, she promptly hung up without a you're welcome or even goodbye. Maybe with such booming business they'll be able to afford some better customer service.

P.S. to the business owner: We have a much bigger roofing job to do after this one. We'll now gladly be giving that business to another deserving company.

Brown Roofing just completed our new roof project this week.  I like Craig Brown.  He is straight forward and tells it like it is.  As other reviewers wrote, Craig does not play games:  when he quotes you a price, it is the final price with no hidden charges or add-ons. Brown Roofing reliably followed the schedule that they presented.  Chris and his crew were friendly, efficient, competent and clean. I had one blip that was not related to the new roof.  Craig immediately solved it to my satisfaction.  He repeatedly said I want you to be happy.  Guess what?  My 5 stars say that I am happy! We just had our roof done. It was easy (for us). The owner gave us a reasonable all inclusive price. He promised and delivered a job well done, and did everything in a very timely matter. He believes in the materials that he uses and the professionals whom he hires. These guys were on our roof in 115 degree heat and did a fantastic job!!

I chose brown roofing and am happy I did.  I had alot of fascia and roof overhang that needed replacing.  His estimate was all inclusive so this was a bonus to me.  His crew was prompt, courteous and made sure things were cleaned up daily.  Craig also painted the new wood - I was shocked!  Would definitely recommend them.

His quote was fair and in most cases better than his competitors as he installs 2 layers of underlayment vs 1 from others. Debbie penciled us in about 7 weeks out due to it being a busy season. Had a cracked roof tile and was worried about the incoming rains.  I received a response to my online request within just a few hrs and they were able to replace with another tile within a couple a days.  I am very pleased about the prompt customer service and courtesy I received.  I would definitely recommend them to others and will keep them in mind on future jobs.

We reached out to Brown Roofing for work on our patio roof.  Of the 3 estimates we received, they landed in the middle and had a shorter warranty, but we appreciated the strong referrals from Yelp.  I wish we had chosen differently.

I reached out a few days after submitting our contract to work on scheduling and was told due to Craig being out of the office, it would be a few days. After a week I followed up again as I still hadn't heard anything.  I was again told that Craig would return that afternoon and would setup scheduling.  I was put off, but understanding.

Two days later workers show up unannounced as I am headed out the door to work asking if they are ok to begin.  I'm frustrated, thrown off, but say go ahead.  That morning their scheduler calls, apologizes, and I give him the go ahead to begin work because it's now been a while with busted roof.  Hours later my wife let's me know that the workers just up and left.  No work had been started at all.  I was livid.

After calling their scheduler and the office multiple times I was assured that it was just a communication issue and that other big jobs were also delayed due to weather, etc.  I asked that Craig call me before any work is provided and asked for a discount.  I called again days later and was told that Craig is out of the office and I'll leave him a message.

Who is running this business?  I understand that communication issues happen - but I want my work completed.  Otherwise I will take my business elsewhere.  I would love to say they did great work and have been a pleasure to work with.  But honestly, I have no idea if they will ever scheduled anything, if the work will be done, and who I can count on.  I'm incredibly disappointed in the service I have received over the past few weeks.

Craig and his crew did a great job on our roof.  Initially we had a few companies come out thinking that we just needed to replace a few tiles and clean things up as that is what the inspector told us when we purchased our house.  Two of the companies including Brown Roofing told us we needed a new roof.  We weren't quite prepared to hear that and we waited almost a full year before contacting Craig again.  He is honest, knowledgeable, and does the work right.  He even went over to our neighbor's house in person to address some concerns she had with our roof removal and her pool equipment.  His price was better than the others and it was a fixed price.  He even honored the prior year quote for us which was so nice.

Had a heavy wind/rain storm a week ago in Ahwatukee. There was some visible evidence of damage so I had Craig Brown come by to look my roof over. After some Monsoon damage and making a claim with our insurance we called a few different places looking for estimates to replace our roof.  Brown roofing was very knowledgeable and helped us navigate the process of dealing with insurance and recoverable depreciation. They did a beautiful job on the roof and had it done and cleaned up in less than two days. Not to mention they had the most competitive price and came in at less than our insurance estimate. The owner even personally stopped by a few times to check that everything was going well and as planned. It's been about a month and our roof has now had some pretty heavy rain and wind since then and we are very pleased to see how great of a job they did!

Brown Roofing just completed the reroof of my tile roof.  From the day Craig Brown came out to give me an estimate until they finished the job today, I could not be more pleased. Craig explained things very thoroughly to me and his written proposal was very clear regarding the scope of the work.  David, who was the head of the crew, was great to work with and the rest of the guys exhibited a tremendous work ethic.  From the plywood that needed to be replaced to all the extra flashing that didn't exist previously, they did it all.  I really appreciated all the touch up painting they did. Bottom line to me is they did the job like it was their house. The actual job was stress free..the crew was done in 3 days and then they had a painter come and paint all the trim around the house and left me with a whole can of touch up paint. Awesome. Would recommend them highly.

I used Brown Roofing for some tile replacements and the owner himself came out the next day for a quote. The service was very fast and more honest then other roofers. I highly recommend them for roofing needs!

I just recently had my roof repaired and re-coated.  From start to finish, Brown did a top notch job.  Their proposal was competitive and submitted in a timely manner, the communication and scheduling was clear and well organized, and the execution of the job was flawless.  All of the employees that I talked with were courteous and professional.  As a follow-up to the roof work, I had my home inspection partner inspect the work.  His comments were that Brown did an excellent job!  I highly recommend them.

After interviewing several roofers, we decided to go with Brown after talking to Dean. I met with him and he explained the process to me, then was good enough to come back and speak with my husband as well. Their price was competitive, and we liked what we were hearing, so we decided to go with Brown, and it was the right choice. They were great about cleaning up after themselves each day and finished the job on time, even with the summer heat. Dean is that guy who shows up when you call (like when my satellite TV went out and we couldn't find the Swim...but he was right here helping me look for it). The plug hadn't been in tight, and the roofing knocked it out (not their fault), but I appreciated how hard he worked to try to make it right. I would definitely recommend Brown Roofing.

As a few others have pointed out re: Dean, I had a very positive experience working with him.

He came out, was very punctual and had good, timely communication over email beforehand.

I pointed out the couple problem areas on my roof that I wanted him to look at, and he diagnosed the issues, talked about how best to fix them, discussed any related additional needed fixes (only one, and it was very obvious, once he pointed it out), and finally walked around the entire house just to make sure there weren't any other obvious trouble spots. He even let me get up on his ladder and inspect everything in detail, as he talked me through what he was seeing.

Overall very good experience with Brown Roofing, and Dean in particular. Very personal, very punctual, didn't try to upsell anything.

I had the pleasure of working with Dean of Brown Roofing when my roof needed replacement in 2015.  After noticing some leaks on my ceiling, I called around and got estimates from several roofing companies.  The analysis Dean did of my roof was unmatched by any other company.  This is because he is an actual contractor as opposed to a sales rep, which every other company sent out.  Dean pointed out where the problem areas were, gave a very reasonable estimate, and even highlighted some additional issues with our skylight and chimney.  Needless to say we went with Dean.  

He and his crew were always on time and extremely respectful of my home. They cleaned up at the end of every day and stayed out of the way as much as possible.  Oftentimes repair work can drag on because only a few people are doing it at a time--not with Brown Roofing. They sent several guys out every day and were done in less than 3.  They even came back to do paint touch-up!

After the job was done, Dean personally walked me through everything they did. I was elated to see how much detail they put into the entire job and was pleasantly surprised when he pointed out some additional work they had done to help improve the flow of water (at no charge I might add) from our home--a big deal when it comes to those monsoon rains! Overall, I couldn't have asked more from Dean and this company. Dean knows what he is doing, is familiar with codes, and will treat your roof like it is his own.

Called to make an appointment, every two minutes someone would pick up and ask one question.  Name, then two minute wait.  Address,  then two minute wait.  Nature of the problem, then two minute wait. After being on hold literally for 7 minutes and thirty seconds I had enough of their unprofessionalism  and hung up.

The guys doing the roofing might be great but the lady answering the phone was super rude.  She acted irritated I was even calling for an estimate.  She saidI have 73 voice messages waiting to which I said Isn't that a good thing? isn't getting business a good thing? Because of her poor attitude she lost my business.  PS She didn't care when I told her that.

OK, so I'm not a review guy.  I take that back, I read them all the time on Yelp, Amazon, etc...I just don't write them; until now.  So, monsoon rains come, and you realize that the house that you just bought (that was built 22 years ago) has a leak or two...or three.  It's terrifying if you've never been through the process.  That process is to have three licensed, bonded and insured roofing contractors come out to your house to give you quotes on (at least in my case) picking up all of the tile, moving it out of the way and replacing the underlayment before putting your existing tile back into place.  Brown Roofing came in right in the middle of the three quotes when it came to money, but...it's more than just that...when you have to replace your underlayment (and you find out that you have to do this because you had water leak in through your roof's plywood and your ceiling's drywall) you may just be replacing some of that plywood as well.  The main reason that I went with Brown Roofing...besides for the fantastic reviews on Yelp...was that the price that Craig quoted me was the price that I was going to pay...meaning I was assured that the quoted (2) pieces of plywood would be all I payed for.  Even if they needed to replace another (4) sheets of plywood the total that I was quoted would not go up.  Brown Roofing is not about nickel and diming you.  IMO you pay a fair price to get the work done by a quality company.

Craig Brown was an absolute pleasure to work with! I am thrilled with how quickly and efficiently they did our full roof. The guys that he has working as his crew were extremely hardworking. We had neighbors come over and comment on the speed as well as the fantastic job. I would not hesitate to recommend Brown roofing. We received multiple estimates, with pricing all over the place. I appreciated the communication and the warranty that were associated with Craig's estimate. I felt confident with using him and his company after reading other reviews and receiving a recommendation from a repair company. I am very glad I decided upon Brown roofing. Make sure you carefully read estimates, because companies like to nickel and dime you for this and that. I was grateful that it was clearly stated what was included on the bid, instead of being charged extra for plywood and what not. Super straightforward and very competitively priced. Thank you again!

Brown Roofing was the 5th estimate I received for a complete roof update/install. Dean provided a competitive quote and was straight forward to deal with. Scheduling was tough with everyone as it was during busy season (Feb), but Dean ,a aged to get me on the books in less than a month. In the meantime, his team came over and patched a few leaks to hold us over...I was stunned that he added nothing to my original estimate to do this.

Job was done in 2 1/2 days. The guys were professional, respectful and very courteous...a must when my wife and two kiddos were in and out through the day. At the end of each day, they cleaned ALL debris up! I mean, they really cleaned their mess, everything except the new materials for the next day. Dust was blown away, nails and scraps all disappeared before they left at the end of the day. VERY IMPRESSIVE!

I've been wanting to write a good review since they finished, but wanted to get through some rain first. The roof looks great, not a inch was neglected. 8 months later and well into monsoon season, we are dry as can be. Heavy winds and heavy downpours have not been able to budge their fine work. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Took a couple days to get a call back and then they sent the owner over. He starts going on about don't fix your roof if it doesn't need it. All i needed were some tiles replaced. Two days later i get an emailed quote for almost $800. It talked about moving my satellite dish, (nowhere near the damage and not even near any tile) and resealing, hauling away, etc etc.
I didn't even bother inquiring about the quote it was so ridiculous. Talk about making it OBVIOUS that you have some overhead! Instead, I just paid a guy $250 to do it and I just met him yesterday. Here are the basics of who i do business with. Answer your calls, act expediently, follow through, don't be so OBVIOUS with your inflation.

Very similar to another reviewer, I spoke with their front office almost 3 weeks ago looking for a quote and have yet to receive a call back. I understand that a delay is possible but letting the client know upfront would be appreciated. The rating is not for work done as I cant even get a call back

After I discovered a leak coming from my roof during the last heavy storm, I called several roofing companies to do an inspection and provide an estimate.

Dean from Brown Roofing was the first to show up. He quickly texted some pictures of a vent flashing problem and caulked it for free! I was amazed... having dealt with another roofer in the past that has low ratings on YELP for a good reason. I figured
it would take estimates from multiple companies to get a true indication of the problem... not needed this time!

Dean also gave me honest feedback regarding the condition of the roof's underlayment... Brown Roofing is first in line when I need to have it replaced.

It took me a while to write this review because as soon as Craig's team finished the job it didn't rain (at least when I was home) for months.   I had waited too long to have my roof redone and it had several leaks.   I wanted to confirm the quality of the work before I wrote this.   I just got out of my attic during a rain storm and it was dry as a bone.  Craig's team started on the day he promised, they finished in two days, they were great about cleaning up after themselves and did quality work.  They even offered to paint the trim (and picked up a gallon when I bought the wrong color).  I couldn't ask for a better experience with a roofing company.

I am THRILLED with the job Brown Roofing did installing a new roof. Craig, the owner, told me the schedule and what would be done and when. He did EXACTLY what he said. I got three quotes from different roofing companies and even though Brown Roofing wasn't the least expensive, they were in the middle, Craig pointed out problems with the roof  that needed to be addressed that none of the other companies pointed out AND what needed to be changed not just fixed. This is THE best roofing company around bar none.

It should come as no surprise Craig Brown gets another 5-star review. From the moment Craig came out to provide a quote, I knew I wanted to hire him. Nonetheless, he encouraged me to get at least 3 bids. So I went through the process of calling and scheduling with all the highest rated companies. I had all of them come out, provide quotes and then it went down to decision time. I ultimately decided on Brown Roofing because of 2 things; The passion Craig has for his work shows. I believe if you have a great passion for something, you are going to excel. And second, his bid was clear it was all inclusive. He said he wouldn't nickel and dime me for rotted plywood or if he had to replace more tiles than expected. And let me tell you, he stands by that!!! He had to replace several hundred more tiles than expected. But he said to me, Stephanie, I wouldn't put them on my roof, so I'm not putting them on yours. He also did a great job in blending the old and new tiles together (after several decades the sun has slightly faded the existing tiles). As others mentioned, he made sure to touch up places where wood was replaced and I didn't even have to get the paint- he matched it for us! If you are considering a roofing company and having a hard time with a decision like I was, stop now, pick Brown Roofing. Don't even give it a second thought. There's a reason he gets another 5 star review.

What a great roofing company! Craig was awesome in all his efforts! He gave us a quote in January for our roof, and we had the roof replaced in May and his price didn't change. He even fixed some major issues with the sheeting on our patio from another bad contractor, and all was included in the original price with no financial surprises at the end of the job. We have a little home built in 1956, and our roof looks so luxurious. Craig and his team were prompt, started on schedule, and had our roof finished in 2 days. His team made sure everything was cleaned up when the job was done and Craig even offered to paint all the new sheeting he replaced on our patio. He even came over on a Sunday after the job was finished, with a ladder, and closed a fuse box on the roof for my AC unit. WOW!! Craig went above and beyond for us, he was always available to communicate with, HE SHOWS UP AT HIS JOB SITES, and gave us a beautiful roof. All this and we have a 10 year workmanship warranty on the roof he installed!!! Thank you so much Craig, and Brown roofing, for adding more integrity to our home with your hard work.

We had a few companies come out to give us a quote on a new roof. Brown roofing fell in the middle of the price range for estimates but we felt it was a fair estimate and we were in good hands, and in good hands we were. They finished the job in 2.5 days and each day they cleaned up so well which was important with little ones in the home! They replaced a few pieces of wood with no charge and painted the trim after. They had the roof inspected one last time before we paid to make sure the work was done impeccably. From start to finish it was a great experience and the roof looks great! I can't recommend them enough!

They were showing promise up until the estimate was completed and the assurance of contact to schedule the work came up.  We will call you next week to do the work probably the following week.  I really liked their professionalism and quick response.  That was a couple weeks ago now.  Nothing since.  Wasn't a cheap job either, but a quick easy one (patio cover re-roof) for them.  Disappointed.  Calling someone else.

Per a recommendation from my insurance agent, I called Brown Roofing when I discovered a leak in our home. Dean came out promptly see our damage and we receive the quote quickly. As soon as we accepted the contract, they were able to fit us in and fixed our roof that week. They arrived on time and were friendly and professional. They did a great job and everything was clean when they left. I would recommend Brown Roofing to any of my friends, and when I need roofing done in the future, they will be my only call.

Taking down my negative review because after my review, Craig call me and we have a meeting set for the weekends.  He did apologies for not getting back to me sooner due to the work load.  Thanks Craig for getting back to me.

I left a message a few days ago for a quote on a new roof. A lady calls back today asking what I needed. First, I had already mentioned on the message I needed a quote for a a new re-roof. Second she said they do their quotes monday thru friday between 10 and 2. She asked if that would work or if I needed another day and time. i said it would need to be more in the afternoon and the earliest would be 2. She said well she could only do between 1 and 2. I said the only way that will work is if someone calls me first when they would be coming and I can see if my husband is available. The lady says she cannot do that. I said ok I will go elsewhere to a business who can come in the afternoon for an estimate. I can understand them needing to actually do the work earlier in the day; however, an estimate is a different story and there is no reason why I really even need to be there.

Can not say enough good things about this company. I met with 4 different companies before selecting Brown. Browns bid was not the most expensive but was also not he cheapest. What I liked most and why we selected this company is that everything was clearly stated in the contract. There were no surprise charges and we now have a roof that has a 30 year warranty. The work was completed quickly...only 2 days and the crew is professional and respectful of my property and neighbors. As with everything, price is not always the final determining factor. Browns bid was very competitive but again the finished product and service far exceeded my expectations. As you continue to read reviews to make your final decision you will see a couple of reviews that were complaining about time to return calls or to get out to do the work. All I can say is that if you wait until a major rainstorm to call Brown there are probably 60 other people using this stupid practice to determine a need. If your roof is the original from when your house was built or is 15 years plus old time to get a free inspection, then you don't have to get mad when this company has too much business. Highly recommend Brown Roofing, fair price, fantastic work that was completed quickly and unwavering professionalism.

I can't say enough good things about Brown Roofing.  The owner, Craig Brown, met with me to provide a one-on-one detailed review of his company's capability and assess my needs.  I had a 24 year old tile roof that needed the underlayment replaced and several broken tiles replaced, too.  In addition to a high quality job for a great value, the most salient quality of Brown Roofing is their flexibility to work around my schedule and the unpredictable weather (it rained a couple of times before and during the install).  They did a great job daily of picking up the area and getting rid of the debris and nails...this was really obvious, when compared to another contractor working on a house a couple of doors down, where the demo and mess extended beyond their driveway.  I also appreciate Craig's ability to accommodate my departure for the holidays and not pressuring me to pay him before I returned and could inspect the finished job.  In addition to his technical talent, Craig's good financial reputation was evident with his willingness to sign unconditional waiver releases for the progress and final payments.....no hesitation.

I'm happy with the work done, which was for a tile roof from '87. The price was reasonable and we had no issues along the way, or once work was complete. They were thorough and explained the process, as well as provided us with updates during the job.

I had some leaks in my new roof and had Brown Roofing come by.  He look at the roof and said it's in good shape but I might be able to solve the problem.  He did so without charging me because he said , Craig Brown, that it would only take a few minutes to fix.  He said he would come by the following week and guess what he did and fixed it.  Unbelievable

Brown Roofing just completed a re-roof of our home and did an exceptional job.  I did my research, asked friends for recommendations, and eventually got three bids on the job.  Craig, of Brown Roofing, did a really nice job of explaining the process and surveying my home to understand the condition of the roof.  He also noticed that my 2nd floor patio deck floor had cracks that would have caused water to penetrate and cause damage.  None of the other companies I had come out made that observation.  So he also gave me a quote on that as well.  I like to take my time, and ask questions before I commit.  Craig was very patient and took the time to answer all of my questions over the following week.  Eventually, I chose Brown roofing because I had confidence that the job would get done right.  The price was right in the middle of the other two quotes, so very reasonable and fair.  His team was very professional and they consistently cleaned up before they left on each day, which was one of our big concerns with a toddler running around.

Brown Roofing did an excellent job installing a new roof on my house.  The crew was very well supervised by the owners and kept me well informed during the entire process.

After this review was published Craig responded.  I contacted him, he profusely apologized and came out the next day to give us a proposal.  He was very professional and easy to talk to  My husband and I were very impressed.  We are currently in the process of studying all of the bids we revceived and will make a decision shortly

The price was fair and the job completed in less time than was quoted by other companies. Craig made himself available for questions throughout the process. Our property was clean and left in good condition after the project. Just wanted to update my previous negative review--Craig responded quickly and came out the next day to provide a thorough estimate with advice for fixing our leak. Great response to our communication problem and seems like a knowledgeable company. We'll update again if we decide to hire them for the repairs.

After quite a bit of research, conversations with neighbors, and a good recommendation from a friend, I chose Brown Roofing to re-roof my 21 year old house. I found Craig Brown to be very straight forward and easy to work with and he seems to have a genuine desire to make sure the job is done right. The job was completed on time and in a very professional manner at a price that was reasonable and competitive. I would not hesitate to employ Brown Roofing again in the future.

I wanted to get a quote and left my detailed information with the receptionist. Two days passed and I still have not received any calls from them.

I spoke with and got quotes from 5 roofers before choosing Brown Roofing.  I could not ask for a better job.  We just bought this house and it needed a new roof.  It has tile which we used to think lasted forever.  The tiles do but the 'underlayment which is under the tiles, does not.  After researching I found that some companies lay 1 layer of underlayment and some do 2, and 2 is better than 1. It should protect the roof from leaking for a longer period of time.  Two of the roof bids I received only had one layer so I did not want to use them.  After speaking with Craig Brown of Brown Roofing on the phone I found him to be extremely knowledgeable about roof replacement.  He explained how the roofing process works and, after our conversation,  I felt confident we would have a good outcome with Brown Roofing.   He sent an estimate after seeing the roof and it was very reasonable. We arranged a date for them to begin work and they were there as arranged.  They made sure the roof replacement was done in a quality manner in every regard.  They even threw in a lot of extras and did not charge! The roof looks so much better than it did and I am confident it will be watertight for many years.  They made sure everything was cleaned up everyday  when they left and also when they finished and the yard looks great.  One less thing to worry about.  It is great to work with a company that goes out of their way to make sure you are satisfied.

Brown Roofing replaced our roof after our house was damaged from a microburst in July. We had a lot of trouble getting our insurance money from the mortgage company to pay for the roof, but Dean was very understanding and helpful with the process. Once they got started, the total time replacing the roof was about 3 days where most of my neighbors took up to 5 days. Brown Roofing used a lot of guys and worked quickly and cleaned up right away. They made the whole process as painless as possible. After they were done we still had amore trouble with the bank releasing the money but again Dean was very understanding. I would recommend Brown Roofing to anyone who needs a new roof.

I have an older home that I knew would need a new roof within a few years of moving in.  I researched a number of roofing businesses myself, and was referred by my brother to Brown roofing.  I was immediately impressed with Craig, as he was the only roofer who did the inspection and provided a written quote on the spot.  In addition, the quote was all inclusive, and Craig promised that he would not charge beyond what was quoted, and the quote was extremely competitive!  He was able to get me on his schedule in less than 2 weeks, and was finished within about 2 days.  Each day when I got home, the entire perimeter of my home was completely clean, and at the end Craig even came back and did paint touch up.  He ended up having to replace a number of facia boards and as promised, there was no extra charge.  I found Craig and his crew to be very professional and friendly.  I highly recommend Brown roofing.  They are fast, reliable, and did an amazing job.  My new roof looks great!

Great Company! Came out right after a monsoon that had left us with water throughout the house, came out to Gilbert to view, give quote, and start on the house all within the week. Ended up having to replace the whole roof (30 year old house with previous leak issues, so not too surprising) and came in way under the other quotes we had received and heard of through word of mouth. The roof was started and completed - including full clean up and walk through with owner - in less than 4 days. Friendly, honest, gave you the recommendation on what needed to be done without fluff or extra sell and did a fantastic job while being extremely reasonably priced. Can't recommend enough.

Brown Roofing just completed an entire re-roof for us in Tempe.  We couldn't be happier with the work they did.  The job site is nice and clean; they even re-raked the gravel in our front yard!  The entire job was completed in two days!!!  They started on the same day they said they would start on - not a small feat for contractors.  We chose Brown Roofing because they were mid-range in terms of price but offered a much better attic ventilation option (read: decreased cooling costs) than was offered by any of the other roofers (we obtained five other quotes).  The owner, Craig Brown, was scheduled to do our quote.  He called to let me know he was running 15 minutes AHEAD of schedule.  Unfortunately, I wasn't ready early, so he patiently waited until I was ready.  That impressed me off the bat.  Like all other roofers, Craig walked around the house and went up on the roof, and then came inside to explain his recommendations.  Although all of the other roofers refused to estimate the amount of wood that would be needed for the project, Craig gave it his best shot.  He wrote three pieces of plywood, some wood for the fascia, and a couple other small things into the quote.  He was careful to explain that this was merely a best guess and that we would need to buy more wood if it was needed, but I really appreciated that he was trying to paint the overall picture... especially when it would've been easy to leave the wood costs out in order to appear more competitive price-wise.  Every other roofer just said that it was a complete guess as to how much wood they would need, and wouldn't even try to estimate it for us.  (That includes the most expensive estimate we got, which was more than a G above Brown's estimate!)  As it turned out - more wood was needed  - parts of the house had no trim and other parts needed the trim replaced.  Craig had his team replace all of the trim, but did it WITHOUT CHARGING US for the extra labor or materials.  WINNING!!! The whole thing looks very professional.  Our new roof alone instantly improves the curb appeal of the entire house.  Highly recommended - support small, local, family business!!!

On July 26th 2014 a Monsoon storm did some damage to our roof, I did a internet search for roofers, and found Brown Roofing had a 5 star rating on Yelp and a A rating on BBB. I called them and a few other roofers for estimates. Brown Roofing quote was reasonable and their workmanship and customer service was great. We are really pleased with the work. I couldn't have asked for a better experience with a contractor.

We had a leak 4th of July weekend and found Brown Roofing through a friend.  They had our roof redone in 2 days which was important since it was monsoon season.  They did a great job at a fair price.  I have already recommended them to several friends.

We had a 13' x 13' walk deck we needed a foam roof torn off of and wanted a hard surface put on that we could put patio furniture on and make a more usable space.  We interviewed 3 roofers and we chose Brown roofing because of my comfort level with one of the owners (Craig, who came and did the estimate), and also the unique rubberized roofing material he quoted and brought samples of (it was a slightly more rubber material which we liked better that the other roofers had suggested and also had a color shade we liked better).  They were able to start the project timely and in a manner that worked with our schedules.  The project was not a very easy project.  When they tore off the foam roof, they ended up finding there were 3 other roof coatings that had been done previously that they had to rip up (it basically had four roofs that had to be ripped up and disposed of).  They did all the demo work and still stayed on schedule and honored the quote/proposal we had agreed to.  The roof also didn't have an ideal drainage layout and their were hardships to overcome to get the flat roof deck to drain properly.  Both owners communicated with us very openly and worked on the drainage of the deck until we felt good about the outcome.  The owners communication was very open throughout the entire process.  We called and emailed several times throughout the process and were always responded to on our inquiries and they always followed through on their commitments.  We had no issues with any of the workers that worked on our deck- they were all friendly and easy to talk to and ask questions.  The area was always left clean and we never had any complaints from our neighbors about the workers, vehicles or any mess.  We are very excited to use our new deck and we appreciate the work that Brown roofing put into it to make it enjoyable.  The company has great integrity and workmanship and I would gladly recommend anyone to use Brown Roofing.  Sincerely, Scott & Rachel
