These guys have saved us on more than a few occasions and they know our home very well because the previous owner used and recommended them - on-time, friendly, knowledgeable, professional, always ask about our puppies and how they are doing - we can always count on Quality Plumbing - highly recommend!!!

After many positive experiences with Quality Plumbing, the last 3 have been completely frustrating, and it turns out, expensive. Their minimum is $250 for the first hour, then $50 for each 15 minutes. Even after multiple errors on their side, they get paid $50/ 15 minutes. I have had to call each time to re-schedule, have not gotten return calls when promised. It turns out there is no benefit/loyalty for a return customer either. I would not recommend. I will need to find another plumber.

Quality Plumbing, we appreciate you.
Nick fixed problems with our loo.
He came, he saw, and was equipped.
The pipe was cleared with a chainsaw whip.

When our pipe was clogged - we were stuck.
We couldn't flush - what the $#%&!?
Then, the clogged-up toilet came and went.
Thank you, Nick. You're worth every cent.

We highly recommend quality plumbing...especially if you are in NW Seattle. We were able to get an appointment quick and they sent out a plumbing veteran which we needed for our old 1940-something house. Some of our plumbing was new and some still old...which can be a challenge for some guys out there. Our guy, Nick, had obviously seen it all. He was in and out quickly and very respectful of our space. If you can, I'd ask for him by name. You won't be disappointed. 10 stars, hands down.

They charge 250 dollars for the first hour. That's significantly higher than 175 dollars from Simple Plumber. If you can, try Simple Plumber first. But that's not the reason for this one star review.

The plumper found that a screw was loose, and tightened it. The faucet was then fixed. It was done in under 2 minutes. However, we still got charged 250 dollars plus 25.25 dollars of tax. Sure, this was what we had agreed on, but that's not my experience with how companies typically take care of their customers. Not even a 1% discount?

Plumbing Tip: if your single handle faucet leaks at the base, check if the screw at the hose is tightened. That's where we spent 275.25 on today. I hope no one else has to spend this much money for such an unpleasant experience.

My kitchen sink was clogged and my property manager recommended QP to me. They were very booked during the week so I only managed to get a Friday appointment on Wednesday.

Very quality and efficient plumbing! My plumber was super nice and taught me some knowledge about how to keep the sink from being clogged. He cleaned up all the stains from the plumbing as well.

One thing I appreciate in particular is their work procedure. My plumber gave me a worksheet as the receipt which documented the issue, the root cause and his solution in details. The way they do this is very professional.

Quality Plumbing it is not. One star is too generous. This plumbing company was referred to my wife's 96 year old aunt by Home Owner's Club. Apparently they work together to fleece the elderly. They came in to re-pipe the house as her galvanized pipes were plugged. What they did after a week was leave her with a house not completely plumbed. They anchored the supply pipe on the outside of the walls and ceilings. They abandoned plumbing to a shower and sink. Charged about $7000 for this. I wouldn't think what they did would pass inspection but I'm sure they didn't get an inspection. I would not have ever imagined someone running water supply lines on the outside of finished walls.

Just a few pics showing the lack of professionalism of this companies work. It only took them a week and $7000 to do this abomination! I wonder what it will cost to fix it. Three months after the job was done my wife's aunt passed away and this was left for the new owners of the house to deal with.

So if you like your plumbing supply lines on the outside of the walls and ceilings so that you know where they are then Quality Plumbing is the company for you. Otherwise I say go somewhere else.

Quality plumbing has been stellar in the past, but not yesterday, when they sent a plumber over to address a clogged underground downspout drain. Two hours and $500 later, I was told they could not resolve the problem, and that I should contact a company that specializes in drainage issues. Um, ok. I guess the following page on their website misled me:

qualityplumbing.cc/sewer…

I understand that sometimes certain issues cannot be resolved. The source of my complaint, however, is about the sloppy job the plumber, who was otherwise friendly and professional, did at reattaching the downspout to the house. He lost the screw that he removed from one of the downspout braces, and instead of replacing it, he just borrowed another screw from the side of the downspout (see photos). So now, water leaks from the side of the downspout as well as overflowing from the clogged drain that couldn't be fixed. Thanks, Quality Plumbing, for making the problem worse at $200/hr.

UPDATE: I used a $20 tool called a drain bladder to clear the clog. Estimates from so-called specialists to address this issue ranged from $1200 to $7500.

Aaron was friendly and super helpful in our bathroom clog issue. He gave a ton of pointers to avoid future issues which was appreciated. A visit is not cheap, but I already knew their hourly rate ahead of time when I scheduled. Luckily there were no other needed charges. Will use QP again and recommend to others.

Quality Plumbing is a great plumbing company! I would highly recommend them because they are very professional and trustworthy!  I had a pretty complicated situation after another company was unable to fix a  problem of tree roots in the main pipes.
Ok, Nick from Quality came and masterfully snaked the pipe with a chain saw snake for almost 2 hours and cleared all the way out to the alley! I paid a minimal price, got  honest recommendations and actual video! The other company wanted to dig my yard up and replace pipes to get rid of roots !: for 6K !:

I have used Quality Plumbing many times over the years,  for various jobs and they always do the best Quality work every time!

Thank you for a wonderful job!! :)

We had a broken pipe on a Sunday and Quality Plumbing saved the day!  In addition to fixing the problem, Jeff took he time to help us winterize the rest of our pipes.  He showed us some potential problems and gave us some tips on what we could do if a leak was to occur.  The price was incredibly fair for the level of service we received.  I will be contacting Quality Plumbing first for all of my future plumbing needs.

Got a few estimates but Quality Plumbing was the one we felt no hard sell and were given options for the re-piping we needed. Shout out to Jeff, Josh and Paul who were awesome and hard working to boot!
Jeff was really good at answering our questions and letting us know what was going on along the way. That was really important to us.
The result is water pressure we'd not seen in years...I have to stop wasting water just to see that it's really, really so much better!!
Great experience and will be sure to recommend and call again for our plumbing needs.

Quality Plumbing literally saved the day. My husband and I have one bathroom and were dealing with a blocked toilet. Compound this with the fact that my husband was having surgery the next day. Our plumber was booked and referred us to QP. They were able to
get us on their schedule and called when a plumber was on the way as promised. Nick not only fixed our issue quickly, he was just a delight. Professional, enthusiastic and hilarious. Thank you Quality Plumbing!

Nothing but great things to say about Quality Plumbing. From the first phone call contact, on a Saturday with a broken pipe, to the completed project, I was handled to top care. Avery called me and let me know he could be here in a hour. He showed up right on time and went right to work. The job was completed professionally to say the least. Avery actually left me his cell number so I could call him if there were any issue. Again, just above and beyond.
Thanks to the Quality team!

My husband called Quality to set up an estimate for putting a sleeve on our sewer line. The woman who answered the phone said they don't do that kind of work. Before he could ask for a referral, she apparently hung up on him.

The woman's response would have been so rude, if she did hang up on him, that it would not have fitted with the high-quality customer service described by other reviewers. So I'm thinking, possibly, she accidentally broke the connection. I hope that was the case. But it was very frustrating, because we're going through an anxious time about our plumbing and would have appreciated a referral to someone who does do the kind of work we need.

Run away ! I'm never ever working with them again. They'll rip you off.

A person came over, quoted me for a 2 hour job and said we need to replace the main 3/4 pipe with a 1 inch pipe to install a water leak automatic shut off valve.
When the installation day came, they found out they didn't need to replace it, turns out to be an easy 1 hour job, and then insisted that I should pay for the 2 hours and the replacement parts they didn't use because it's a contract even though it does not reflect at all the work done. They're supposed to be the experts and provide you an accurate quote, well it seems they'll rip you off.
I would never ever work with them again, greedy companies who know nothing about customer obsession are not the companies that you want to trust with you work.

These guys are amazing!

Project:
Adding toilet and sink to basement laundry room

Scope of Work:
Re-configuring all plumbing and final trim work

Details:
After meeting with 5-6 other highly-rated Seattle plumbing companies and receiving advice/proposals, we eventually called Quality Plumbing to come take a look at our project. The other plumbing companies insisted that they would not be able to install plumbing for a standard bottom-discharge toilet, that there wouldn't be enough slope to tie into the side sewer. While those other plumbers had us convinced that we'd have to go with an up-flush or rear-flush toilet system, we still didn't get a good vibe with any of the other plumbers so kept looking around.

Bryan came over and quickly assessed that they would definitely be able to install the plumbing for a standard-flush toilet. He was enthusiastic about the project and within a day turned around a sketch of the excavation required for them to do the plumbing work. Because we would be without our W/D during the project, getting the timing right was very important for us. Bryan also won us over by pointing out that we're in good luck to have a laundromat a few blocks away as a backup for the duration of the work - a fact he knew b/c he setup the initial plumbing there 20+ years ago!

With a little bit of lead-time and coordination, scheduling QP to come out was simple and straightforward. We also added a water heater replacement to the job, and Bryan was super helpful in advising the best route given our situation (had to replace an 80-gallon tank; he offered different solutions to ensure we were happy with the downsize to a 50-gallon tank).

Eli did all of the plumbing work (and water heater replacement) in just over one day. He also coordinated the permit and inspection with of course no issues. Given the amount of work performed (picture attached) and the limited space to tie everything together and hook-up to side sewer, I was very impressed with the efficiency and high quality work.

Summary:
The attentiveness and professionalism by QP throughout our experience blew me away. Especially compared to other plumbing companies that we talked to, they really cared about providing the best experience for us. I can't imagine a better plumbing company and will use QP for any future plumbing project, large or small, and can't recommend them more highly.

Thanks again Bryan and team!

If only all home services could be this good!

My property management company directed me to Quality Plumbing to fix a back up kitchen sink on a weekend. Mike (I think? Bad with names) arrived about an hour after my initial call, was super friendly, and fixed the issue in just under an hour. I highly recommend using Quality Plumbing.

We had an emergency plumbing issue.  Fortunately they fit me in between jobs because a prior job didn't last as long as they planned.  Amy on the phone was great.  Nick, the plumber was professional, friendly and was quick at solving the problem.  I have never seen a plumber with so much enthusiasm!  I normally do not write reviews but felt it was important to share my experience.

Quality Plumbing is excellent! We would give them 10 stars if possible. We had a wall leak in our home, they fit us in the same morning, solved the problem, very clean, super fair price, nice and knowledgeable tech. This was a leak from an upstairs bath to a lower one.

I've been working with Quality plumbing for 5 years now. Bryan runs a top not company that has a great amount of integrity. They are not always the cheapest. But they are available and trustworthy. My latest experiance was with tenants who had a failure of a bathroom cartridge at 11am on a Saturday. They could not get the water turned off and I'm traveling for work and out of town. A quick call to Qualities 24hr line and 45 minutes later a representative, Jeff, was on site taking care of things. $300 and and few hours later replacement parts were installed and retested. I can't complain about the integrity, quality, or speed of work. A great company to work with!

Absolutely professional work.

Two points. I don't know if Quality Plumbing is the highest priced plumbing outfit or not. But they are definitely the best plumbers I've used in a lifetime here in Ballard. I've used others in the past. I can make valid comparisons. These guys are pro.

You know the old saying, in the long run you pay less when you buy the best. I think I did that today.

The surprise was the very reasonable price. Plus finishing in 2 hours after being given a 3 hour estimate. How many times has that happened to you? Under promised and over delivered.

Now, here's my second point. Quality is a home grown Ballard company. Long term employees. Earning real family living wages. But they're hurting for business during this Covid-19 lockdown. Many employees, your neighbors maybe, are furloughed.

My need was immediate, they responded quickly and did a good job at a more than fair price in my opinion.

If you've got a plumbing problem that you've been putting off consider having it done now. There are folks that could use the work and there will likely be little or no wait for them to come out.

Adding on the below review from 12 months earlier.

Had another exterior leak, at a new location :-( . Quality came out a day after I called and made a solid fix at a reasonable price. The person who came (I think his name was David) was friendly and knowledgeable.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Quality Plumbing was directed to us by The Homeowners Club twice over the past few years. Excellent both times.

The first was for an interior leak a couple of years ago. The plumber arrived on-time and repaired the leak quickly at a reasonable price.

The second was for an exterior leak, last week. Turned out to be the same place as was repaired by a national firm in 2001, so I was able to compare the two services.

The rest of this review pertains to exterior leak, though I would provide the same ratings for the interior leak repair.

SERVICE: 5.0. Communicated about 4:30pm Friday, so I figured it was too late for a response before Monday. To my pleasant surprise, they replied quickly, and we arranged the repair appointment for the following Monday morning.

Avery came out Monday, was very professional, and did a quality repair job despite the muddy soil. Turned out that the repair made by the national firm in 2001 had failed, and that it could have been done better. (I recall the plumber that first time: he seemed unhappy about working outside though it was a sunny day and I had already dug a hole for him. He disappeared for one long stretch for parts.)

PRICE: 4.0. I am reluctant to rate ANY payment above a 1.0. But in this case I decided to rate highly because I could compare to the price the national firm had charged 14 years earlier. Quality Plumbing was slightly lower in price, despite the inflation of the past years!

Before coming out, Quality Plumbing was up-front about the minimum charge, and how additional charges were calculated (hourly + parts).

I have used Quality Plumbing SEVERAL times for different projects.  They were recommended to me by The Home Owners Club.  They have always come out quickly and done great work.  This time, in the process of getting my house ready to be put on the market, I wanted a new water heater installed.  The old one was over 19 years old and the drain was clogged.  It was a time bomb waiting to go off.  I had already had the electrical upgraded earlier last year, so that wasn't an issue.  Did you know there is a issue?  Any older water heater needs a junction box or something before a plumber can install a new heater.  They aren't allowed to do the electrical work, so I had someone come 'just in case'.  I always like to be prepared. You need to keep that in mind if you're going to need one in the future!  My house is a mid-century modern and as such, needs TLC.  It's been a joy updating it over the past 15 years.  Back to the job....I called to schedule the job over a week in advance, which surprised the scheduler.  They are so used to emergencies.  She followed up two times to make sure they had everything correct from the time I set up the appointment to the arrival.  The guy, David, (I think) was awesome.  He did the work and moved the laundry sink over for me too.  He also had a WONDERFUL sense of humor.  All their plumbers have been a joy to work with and very helpful.  So it's easy to remember their name - Quality Plumbing = Quality Workmanship.  (I forgot to take pictures, sorry)

This is the second time I've had Quality Plumbing out. They previously installed a pressure reducing valve, replaced some valves and more recently replaced a hose bib. It ended up being a bit more involved than originally expected, but it was still very quick! And, they are really personable while working too. The customer service from the first call on the phone, through to ensuring I was happy with everything working again before the plumber left- top notch! Highly recommend them.

Quality Plumbing is the best!  I've been a customer for 20 years and have always had stellar service.  From phone staff, plumbers and estimators, they've all been great.  Special shout out to Nick who was here today (and on several past occasions) for routine maintenance and non-routine work.  He is very efficient, competent, reliable, knowledgeable, kind and patient.  I ask alot of questions each time and he takes the time to explain things thoroughly in a way that I can understand.  He's a busy guy, but I never feel rushed or that I'm being a pain (at least he doesn't show it if I am!).  Kristi and phone staff Amy, Jackie and Katie are all great and take the time to find out info that I need to know if they don't already know.  Bryan the estimator is great, too.  All in all, these folks know what they are doing and do it well, provide excellent customer service and I will tap into their services for life as long as they don't change. ;).  Hands down Quality Plumbing gets 5 stars plus from me.  It gives me much peace of mind to have this level of service, especially for something as serious as plumbing.

We have used them for several issues, all of which were resolved promptly.  In one case, there was an issue with the plumber failing to clean up the dirt, smudges and metal shavings the areas in which he was working (3 areas) before leaving (which I only noticed after the plumber was gone).

The one real issue I have is that they charge for the time from the moment they pull up to a job until they leave the premises, including the time in which they handwrite their invoice.  Each time, my plumber has not brought the invoice materials up to my condo and I've been billed for the 10-15 minutes he's gone writing up the invoice.  It's a small amount ($11 on the most recent bill), but I don't like being nickled and dimed, and I don't think it's professional to pass along an administrative cost to the customer.

When I discussed the issue with the plumber he told me that he has had this discussion with other customers, it is how the company has run its business, and it is what he is told to do.  I told him that I understood what he was saying but that it's still not acceptable to me.

Most high quality construction service providers I have worked with have computerized billing (one high end painting company sends their estimates and bills via a web portal) and neither charge for administrative time nor require payment on the spot (I have no problem with the latter as long as I'm not being charged for the time to prepare the invoice and receive payment).

Since this one plumber is having these same discussions with other customers, the company may wish to pay attention, and consider not charging for such time (at least for their individual (vs corporate/building) customers).

Quality Plumbing was referred to me by a neighbor who was so impressed by their rough in work at his house that he walked around taking pictures when they were done, and they lived up to the hype. Working with Quality Plumbing was a fantastic experience.

They re-plumbed our entire house, installed an additional shower, moved a toilet, and have been back a few times since to install fixtures, and everything has been beautifully done. They finished ahead of schedule even though they were working the weeks of Christmas/New Years while we were out of town, and have been accommodating as we've tacked on additional work.

Everyone that we've interacted with, from the owner Bryan to the various folks coming out to do the work have been very pleasant. Communication has been great the entire way. I'd happily hire them again and will be sending folks their way!

Aron came about 10 minutes into the 2 hour window given by the scheduler and it just got better from there.

Highly, highly recommend this company.

This is only for the customer service over the phone which was Incredibly rude and inconsiderate. They are apparently not taking new clients, so don't bother calling. Also not only won't recommend other options but were incredibly rude when asked. Said they can't recommend other places because they don't know their schedules. I would never expect them to know another outfit's schedule, just wanted another place to try. Would not use them even if I could.

Once again Quality Plumbing proves they more than live up to their name.  A backed up sink in my mother's condo defied our efforts to clear it with a manual snake.  A late call to their operators resulted in us being slotted in the nxt day for an appointment.  A change in schedule brought Efrain to the condo two hours earlier.  After little more than 30 minutes with the right knowledge and equipment the sink and main stack were clear and draining properly, everything was cleared, cleaned, and visually inspected, and Efrain gave us a quick primer on the building's plumbing and how my mother's unit fit in.

Everyone at Quality Plumbing --  operators, schedulers, and plumber -- are the best.  I have used them for the past ten years and will continue to use them.  I highly recommend you use them for your plannd and emergent plumbing needs, too.

I'm convinced that you only truly realize how much time you waste is when you're waiting for someone else.

A fine example of this occurred when I was waiting for a plumber from Quality Plumbing. Originally they stated that they would be coming between 11 am and 1 pm. That's actually not too bad of a spread; I've had delivery people quote me between 7 am and 5 pm before. And so the day went:

11 am: Let's face it. When someone quotes you a block of time, secretly deep down you hope that they actually show up at the beginning so that you can get on with the rest of the day. You know that it rarely ever happens, but there's that little flame of optimism that burns inside hoping that it'll happen this time. And almost every time you're proven wrong, like on this day with Quality Plumbing.

11:20 am: But knowing that they probably wouldn't show up at the earliest time, I was able to get some things done around the house. Now that I was *forced* to stay inside (as opposed to the usual *elective* lounging around), I was much more productive. Some things got dusted, dirty clothes were picked up and even discovered that the milk in my fridge had gone bad three weeks ago. That explains a lot about cereal this morning.

11:40 am: But productivity can only go so far. The reason why I get a little lax with cleaning is because I don't really like doing it. After fourty minutes of tidying, it started to feel like a chore. Which, actually, it is.

Noon: People like averages. If someone tells you that an item will cost between ten and twenty dollars, you sort of estimate that it'll be fifteen. In the same way, when they quote an arrival time of 11 am to 1 pm, you sort of figure that they'll get there by noonish. So when the clock moves to 12:01, it feels like they're late. Even though they're still well within the quoted time.

12:30 pm: Now it starts to get annoying. Even though I'd hoped that they would show up at the beginning of the block of time, deep down experience had taught me that this usually doesn't happen. But still I was disappointed and a little agitated. Moving around the place, I started peering out the window at the passing cars. A car passes. Could that be them? A schoolbus slowly moves by. Could they have hitched a ride with a bunch of middle-schoolers? I presumed that they would arrive in a marked van. But still I was staring down passing cars with the same intensity as trying to spot an unmarked Highway Patrolman while driving 90 mph down the highway. Just in case Quality Plumbing travelled around in unmarked cars like the police or Secret Service. And this idea actually seemed rational at the time.

1 pm: Still no Quality Plumbing or even a call to tell me they were running behind. I started to look online for other plumbers.

1:12 pm: Call from Quality Plumbing dispatcher: he's running behind, but will be there in 15 minutes.

1:27 pm: Still no plumber.

1:44 pm: Plumber arrives and fixes problem pipe. In about fifteen minutes. I will give him credit for being businesslike and giving me a plumbing tip. Plus he was nearly a dead ringer for Saul Rubinek. That's got to be worth something too.

Oh, by the way, this update is for reducing the rating by a star to three. For the reason of tardiness, if that wasn't painfully evident by now.

When our second floor shower began leaking through our dining room ceiling, we called Quality because their yelp reviews had been so positive.  We were told their technician would arrive between 8am-12pm, a pretty broad window, but to be expected in the business.  I took the morning off work so I could let them in, since the situation was an emergency.  After waiting all morning, I finally called the dispatcher at 12:30 to ask about our status and was assured that someone was on the way.  An hour later, the plumber finally arrived.

He listened politely to my theory that the drain was the culprit, promptly mis-diagnosed the problem as another issue, and left after 20 minutes.  He charged us for a full hour of work, and I only learned later that Quality purports to charge in 30 minute (or smaller, I can't remember) increments.  The next time we used the shower, it still leaked.  Subsequent poking around by my husband and I revealed that my drain theory was correct and we managed to fix the problem ourselves with the help of a neighbor and a little sealant.  I won't be calling Quality again.

Non-Quality Plumbing:  Unethically expensive, excruciatingly slow...

Wow. I had a valve break behind one of my walls and called up Quality Plumbing based on yelp. So, here's my summary.

1.  Prompt service..came over that same day.
2.  Incredibly, incredibly slow.  It took the plumber three hours just to cut the drywall, remove the old valve, and cap it closed.
3.  He mentioned that he had a replacement valve in his truck. With tax only ~$300.   I didn't have time to have him finish his job (notice #2) because I had to go back to work.
3a.  I found out that valve only cost $60 including tax. I know plumbers mark stuff up, but that is ridiculous. I talked to another plumbing and he said that even $90 would have been a high price for that value.

So, the final job just to cut the valve out was $300+.  At the speed he was working and for the amt he was charging, the fix would have been around $800-900.  SERIOUSLY.  F-ing RIDICULOUS.  I later found out that their plumbers are commission based. So, gouging must be the order of the day at NON-Quality Plumbing.

I refused to use them again. So, I bought the valve myself (instant savings of $240) and actually called another plumber on Yelp, Good Guy Plumbing.  If he had done the whole job, it would have cost $300 including the part.   That guy is ex-military, straight-up, and quick and good at his job.

Seriously, i have no idea how everyone on Yelp  has given these guys good reviews.   To be clear, I used to be a nuclear engineer on a submarine. So, I understand how to fix stuff, but more importantly, I know how long it takes to cut out a simple f'ing value... I WOULD NEVER USE THESE GUYS AGAIN. They'll try to take advantage of you when you need them most.

Dirt bags...That's all I can say. F' them.

----Go with Good Guy Plumbing. He's a veteran and  going to be straight up with you, and just do a good job at a fair price.  ----

(2009).  This is my second time with QP.   The first time I've dealt with them-about $300 to fix a broken pipe in wall.  2-3 hours of work-seems reasonable.

(2/7/2012) The second time not so reasonable. I spent $1376.75.   Dan came in promptly worked on clog backing up the toilet-tried snaking it, etc ($331.00). He said he had to come back the next day to use a sewer camera ($225!).   Our side of house pipes were clear.  They discovered we shared a sewer line with the neighbor.   They excavated to try further clear the drain.  They concluded that there was a break in the side sewer line.

I called a sewer company to have them check it and it was a free estimate to check with a sewer camera if it was clogged!  Wow really!!!!

Two lessons--know how plumbing works and the type of companies there.  I could have saved so much money.

Today Michael, Logan and Mike came to replace a leaky hot water tank that is also connected with our hydronic heating system. They are fabulous!!! It took them half the time that we were told it might take and the job looks great! Our whole experience with the company was great! Scheduling with Amber and getting a basic quote to talking with Kristi about our warranty and working out a plan was easy and helpful. Luckily they had time to fit us in and we couldn't be more grateful! We talked to many companies that were either way overbooked (I'm happy they have work)or wanted to charge us three times what we paid with no explanation about what we were paying for.
At Quality they itemized everything.
I want to spread the word but my selfish part wants to keep them secret.

Four a couple of years had a persistent problem with both the shower and bathroom sinks of our condo. We were annoyed the drains were slow and sometimes would get worse, but could usually manage them alright by cleaning the top filters and pouring some chemicals down the drain (yay, chemicals!), but the issue would always come back with time.

Once we moved out and had renters living in the unit, the problem became a bigger deal and recently became too much to handle.

I thought I might be able to fix the problem myself, but wasn't sure I had the tools and definitely didn't have the time, so I decided to play it safe and just pay a plumber to get it done right. Fortunately, the folks at Quality Plumbing were not just available on short notice, but flexible with their timing, allowing me to supervise the work without taking a big chunk of time out of my work day.

Rather than giving me a vague three-hour window of time, Aron from Quality Plumbing called me when he was 30 minutes out, giving me time to get out of the office and to the condo to meet him - and he was right on time.

The fix itself proved to be simple enough I felt foolish for calling a plumber, but Aron not only charged just the reasonable minimum rate I was quoted on the phone, but took the time to check the other drains in the condo and show me how to fix the problem if it came up again in the future. Though this ensured I'd never need to call them for a small problem like this one, it was the kind of helpful, professional service that will make sure I call them first if I have a bigger problem down the road.

I hope their plumbing is better than their customer service. To be fair, I called to speak to their accountant.  When I called earlier in the morning, the receptionist said she wasn't in and if I wanted, I needed to call back in the afternoon.  I guess they haven't heard of voicemail or taking messages. When I did call back, the accountant hung up on me after I said hello and asked one question. I was shaking my head in disbelief.  I understand the trades are exceptionally busy right now in Seattle, but it doesn't give a plumbing company to treat people like crap.

How do you know when you're a fully indoctrinated Yelper?

When your hot water heater is spewing water all over the floor, you're in desperate need of an emergency plumber, but when you do a web search, you stop and say, Y'know... I should really check the Yelp reviews before I make this decision.

Now, I didn't exactly do a lot of comparison. ... Alright, I admit it! I just picked the first result on the list. But honestly, Quality Plumbing delivered. Nick, the on-call plumber, called me back super quickly, and was very patient and chill with me even though I was both (1) completely clueless about hot water heaters and (2) completely freaking out.

He talked me through turning off the cold water flowing into the tank, and even though that essentially solved the problem, I was still freaking out so I asked him to come out and check things out in person.

QP's emergency rate (nights and weekends) is $250 / hr. Since I was too preoccupied to do comparison shopping, I can't comment on the competitiveness of the rate - but for me, it was worth it to have Nick looking at the problem in person and making things right.

He got to my place quickly, and in no time, my new hot water heater was installed and fired up.

Here's hoping I don't have an emergency plumbing need any time soon. But if I do, I'll call Quality Plumbing to come to the rescue.

Called Quality Plumbing for a clogged drain at a rental. Had tenants text me as soon as the truck pulled up and text me as soon as the plumber left the house. The plumber (E. Mendez, I think...hard to tell from messy handwriting on receipt) called me so that I could pay, and he quotes me 45 minutes longer than he was at the house. I asked him what time he arrived and what time he left, and he gets extremely rude and belligerent, and tells me I should have been at the house to pay him. Which is garbage because I explained the situation fully to the receptionist when I called to request service--I was out of town and needed service on a rental, and would be paying by phone. Anyway, RUN from Quality Plumbing unless you like getting scammed by rude plumbers.

The plumber from Quality Plumbing attempted to charge me for 75 minutes of labor when he spent only 54 minutes at my property. At their billing rate of $200 per hr, every minute matters. He claimed that he had been driving around for 15 minutes trying to find parking, and that time must be added to the 54 minutes. This was dishonest. I was standing outside for 30 minutes prior to his arrival, and I saw him drive past the property only once, turn around, come back to the property, and park. This could not have taken more than 2 minutes. He was also upset that I wanted to pay with a credit card because he said that would take another 15 minutes because he would have to call the main office to read out my credit card number, but he would not charge me for that. I had asked the person that I spoke with on the phone the day before when I made the appointment whether I should pay with check or credit card, and she said credit card was fine. If I had been told the company prefers to take a check, I would have brought my check book. I do not feel it is my responsibility to compensate the plumber for the time it takes him to process my payment. Quality Plumbing should get Square or Clover, which would enable them to take credit card payments in a few seconds with a smart phone. In the end, we compromised and I paid him for 60 minutes of labor. I would not hire Quality Plumbing again. If they are dishonest about the time spent to do a job, I can't trust that they are honest about anything.

We received a recommendation for Quality from a friend who is a real estate agent. They have repaired our home and another property quickly, professionally and with an excellent warranty. My husband credits them with saving us a lot of money by telling us a costly recommendation we were given by a competitor was an unnecessary repair. Years later, the item in question still works - no repair.

On the plus side, they were responsive, and the plumber who came out was very friendly, thorough with his explanations, and very professional.  And they were able to fix my issue of a broken shower fixture.  On the other hand, I can't help but feeling a bit ripped off.  I know plumbing services are getting more and more expensive, but at $200/hr, I felt like he could have displayed more of a sense of urgency, where instead I felt like he was trying to milk as much time as he could.  I also believe the one part they replaced was very marked up.  In the end, $426 to partially replace a shower fixture is somewhat outrageous.  And to top it off, that included a $2 charge for caulk!  You can't throw that in?!  It was almost insulting.  For that reason, despite the overall good work, I can't go higher than 3 stars.

I've used Quality Plumbing several times over the years for different things.  They were recommended to me by Home Owners Club.  Every time they have been very communicative (prices up front, scheduling, calling when plumber is on the way, etc.).  The work has always been done well with the plumber (different ones) explaining what had happened to cause the problem, what repairs he did, and what we might expect in the future whether it's an old system or a newer one, to call if we have any questions, and they've made a point to not make a mess by laying down a canvas tarp and cleaning up afterward.

Also, like that they (Kristi K. of Quality Plumbing) read and respond to unsatisfied Yelp reviewers.

Without warning the 1st symptom was the water backing up in our basement toilet. Then I noticed that the floor drains were backed up too. This was on a friday night. Called Quality Plumbing, talked to their dispatcher, and their on-duty plumber called me back in 10 minutes. He walked me through how to diagnose the problem, and patiently waited on the phone for 30 minutes while I fought with the rusted bolts on our sump pump. Once we diagnosed the problem as a broken sump pump motor and I was stuck for the night, he said he would have their morning person come out with a new motor and get started right away.

In all, I got 45 minutes of a plumbers time without paying one cent. So when the morning plumber came in, he had the part, he knew the problem, and he got right to work. He estimated 2 hours, finished in 1.25. It was expensive for the weekend work, but both plumbers did everything they could to minimize the amount of time I ended up paying for, and they cleaned up perfectly afterwards.

Great work and customer service. I'm already calling them again now for a newly discovered leaky toilet.

Very, very overpriced for size of job. I was informed that if I paid by Credit Card that I may pay more for the plumbing job as the credit card takes 10 minutes to run and that would be considered part of the job.  This was a comment from Aaron.  Too quick, did not test system to be sure it worked properly after he completed the repair. I would not use Quality Plumbing again.  Better plumbers out there for your money.

I have a patio project planned in the next 10 days where we'd be burying pvc pipe for a future gas line to a firepit, which would be installed at a later date.  Called to see if I could be connected to a plumber to verify anticipated depths and layout for them since I'm not going to open it all back up when the firepit comes.  Wouldn't even connect me.  Told me they're too busy and I'd need to book an appointment for them (earliest would be in two months).  I explained that my question would take less than 2 minutes and didn't need a visit yet - they wouldn't be coming out for actual work until the middle of next year - I just needed to make sure my layout would be good for them when they came.  Nope.  Not getting connected.  We'll pass.  She said.  Owned and operated by people who care about you all right... What a joke.

Fast response.  Very skilled plumber.  Sensitive to hourly charges - worked very efficiently.
I had a rupture of an expansion tank connector on a water heater dedicated to a hydronic heating system.  I had little faith that I could find a weekend emergency plumber that could handle this with any skill.  (It happened on Saturday, of course)  It is a complicated system that is under pressure with a recirculation pump and really more a heating problem than a plumbing problem.  The plumber's name was Silas.  I will definitely call this business again

Highly recommend! I actually used Yelp to help me decide and it became very clear that not all plumbers are created equal! Don't go by name recognition alone. A good jingle does not equal good service.

What impressed me most about Quality and the owner, Kristi, was they were the only company I saw reaching out to those who posted lower ratings on Yelp to try and rectify the situation. She truly cared about the customers. I had seen their trucks in the neighborhood too so figured we'd give them a try to replace our water heater that burst the night before. When I called first thing in the morning Kristi answered! They were able to make it out the same day, reasonable price and fair hourly rates. The installer was friendly and professional. They gave me a two hour window and nailed it...no sitting around waiting.

Work was done well, service was great and to top it off I got a phone call the next day to see if everything met my expectations and if I needed anything more. I wish all companies were like this!!

Highly recommend Kristi and her team at Quality Plumbing.

My kitchen sink began spraying water all over the place above and below the counter while it was on. I called a bunch of places frantically to find a plumber starting around 8pm. Quality Plumbing was maybe the 10th place I called, including some 24 hour place, but this is the only one who answered willing to page an on-call.

The person who answered was not from their company but paged the on-call who called back within 10 minutes. I explained the symptoms and he asked me if the faucet was a pull-out (with a hose). I said yes. He said to pull it out and check if there is a nut that is loose. Sure enough, there was a nut that wasn't screwed into anything. I screwed it on and tested it; it worked fine!

The whole thing was resolved over the phone in about one minute. I feel guilty that I ended up not paying anything because he didn't need to come out, so I thought I would post this here instead in case it helps anyone.

We had a low water pressure issue in the house.  The plumber came out, no charge, to give us an estimate.  Told us we needed to find the pressure reducing valve before anything could be done.  Helped us by going through the house and all over the garage to try and find where it could possibly be.  No charge.  So, the second time, we thought we found it and called for him to come out.  Turns out what we found was not the correct item, still no charge for the trip out.

Finally, when we did find the pressure valve and dug it out, the plumber was able to change and replace it immediately.  He was very efficient about it and was reasonable with the labor, parts, and pricing.

I also liked how easy it was to schedule an appointment with the company, they give you a call approximately 1/2 hour out, and he was extremely knowledgeable and prompt.  Also, he was mindful of taking off his shoes when coming inside to check the water once the valve had been replaced.  The plumber we had was and Eric.  Great guy.

We had Quality Plumbing come out and re-do our shower plumbing for our bathroom remodel.  I worked with Ken on the quote and John did the actual work on our house.
First of all, Ken showed up on time, looked over our job, and had a quote for me within a week.  Of the three plumbers we called, Ken's quote came the quickest, was the cheapest, and he was very helpful and patient with me through all my questions and clarifications.

John came and did the work in minimal time.  He was quick, clean, and very efficient.  He had to go into our basement ceiling for some of the plumbing and I hardly noticed he was there when he was done, he was so neat!  He also answered some of our questions about replacing our toilet, even though he was done with the job, hungry for lunch, and wanted to get out the door!

I would like to mention that Quality Plumbing is on their game.  They always called me back.  Their quote was at least $200 less than my next quote, and $500 less than the highest.  Yet, they treated me with the most respect and valued my time.

These people are professional, personable, and do a great job.  They replaced virtually all my plumbing on time and on budget.  If you hire them, just be sure to ask them to use floor coverings and boot covers.  They did work on both floors of my home, and got waxy waterproofing from the toilet drain on carpet stairs.  They cleaned it as soon as I saw it, but the cleaning didn't last and the stains came back.  We are replacing the carpet so I didn't follow up with them.  I also had to ask them to cover my hardwood floors when they did their upstairs work.

Bottom line, I would use them again.

We used Quality Plumbing through a recommendation by Home Owners Club.  We had three different plumbing companies come to the house to provide a quote for relocating our existing washing machine to another room in the house (water supply and drain).  Not only did they provide the lowest quote by a few hundred dollars, but they were by far the most knowledgeable and professional.  Their solution was the most straightforward and simple....one that the other plumbers did not discover (which probably explains why their quotes were so much higher).  The plumber was on-time and had the work done and the area cleaned in about 6 hrs.  When our kitchen sink faucet lost water pressure the day after the work was completed, Quality Plumbing was extremely responsive and explained that it was probably just sediment built up in the aerator.  They offered to send someone out to clean out our fixtures, but we were able to do it ourselves within a matter of minutes.  Their customer service was spectacular and our overall experience was extremely positive.  I've already recommended them to others seeking plumbing work.

I have used Quality Plumbing  for several plumbing issues.  Today my island sink garbage disposal needed replacing.  Nick C.  arrived exactly when the dispatcher said he would with a phone call as he was leaving his previous job. Nic was courteous, efficient and very tidy.  He had anticipated that I might need a new compact disposal and loaded a new one on his truck just in case.  He was right and it saved me having two service calls.
All of the plumber's Quality Plumbing sends out have been on time, informative and willing to let me learn about what I can do myself from them on their visits.
I would highly recommend this company.

I have literally never gone so far as to write a bad review for a service but we felt that Quality Plumbing deserved it.  We had them install 2 sinks which took an amazingly long 3.5 hours.  We were charged $743 for labor, we had supplied the parts (of which the plumber assured us was a good brand -Moen.  Literally 3 weeks later our brand new sink was malfunctioning.  Instead of fixing it on good faith, a quick 5 minute repair cost us ANOTHER $85. Bad business and not referring or using again.

Good experience.  The highlights:

* The plumber arrived on time and got the work done with no unexpected expenses.  It's rare to get a plumbing bill that is barely over the minimum visit charge, but he finished the job within the first half hour, so the minimum plus a part which was under $10 was all I paid.

* He put down a big rubber mat on my wood floor to work on, so I didn't need to worry about scratches from tools or nasty goo from used parts, etc.

* He spent a few minutes talking about other unrelated plumbing issues that were on my mind, off the clock.

* The office called multiple times to keep me informed about when the plumber would be here, including calling just before he arrived.

Had some  water leaking issues with the outside pipes just inside from the city's connect and needed to stop the water works fast. Called a couple of plumbing places with the big ads and they came out and gave some $$$$$$$ estimate just to dig it up and look at it so I sent them on their way. Then called Matt at Quality Plumbing and he did an amazing job, saved me a lot of cash, knew his stuff and did it efficiently. If the whole line goes I will totally call them again. I put 5 stars because I don't want to bring down the average and after Doug C's lowering of a star they deserve it. I was just looking for a plumber and read Doug C.'s review. Are you kidding me!!!! You had a great experience the first time you hired them of them coming early etc etc then you call them again and you make an incredibly long review, that is more about you trying to be funny then about them, eventually admitting to the world that you think someone is late if they come within the time they say they will!  Oh brother. So they ended up being all of a half hour late WiTH A PHONE CALL. Weird. Especially in light of all the other reviews so positive. I'm going to call and hire them.

These guys are the only ones I would call if I have more plumbing issues, which I hope I don't, because I think they have actually now worked on or replaced every dang pipe in my old decrepit house.  We have had them come to our home on three occasions, and every time they have been here right when they said they would come. The plumbers we have had were all friendly, personable, and able to explain clearly what they planned to do in terms totally non-handy me could understand.

In none of the times I had them come did I ever feel like they were trying to upsell me to have them do work that we didn't need.  Even when we had to debate whether to do the quick fix in our upstairs bathroom, or do the work that really needed to be done that was more expensive and time-consuming, we still did not feel pressured to do one or the other by the plumber.  He just patiently explained the options and likely outcomes, which we really appreciated.  He also fixed a small problem in our downstairs bathroom for free while we were deciding, which we would never have expected.  Yay!

I really have a lot of trust that the people who work at Quality Plumbing actually care about doing good, thorough work, and that they really know what they are doing.

I called Quality Plumbing based on the various yelp reviews here today to fix a leaking pipe & faucet.  I was a wee bit taken aback by the price for their initial 1/2 hour, but they came in, diagnosed the problem immediately and got to work.  They were mindful of doing a very thorough job, but were also 'clock-watching' so as to try to make the time for the repair as cost-friendly to me as possible.  The gentlemen were very professional and courteous, and were educating me along the way which was greatly appreciated.  For everything you hear about poor repair, marginal service and over-charging from many plumbing providers, this outfit was none of those things.  My only complaint would be the excessive plumber's crack, but that's to be expected, right?!  I'll use their services again--though I hope I don't have to!

We had a great experience with Quality Plumbing during the buildout of The Wax Bar in Ballard!  The space was completely gutted and the location of the toilet had to be changed for ADA purposes.  This required finding a drain somewhere beneath the concrete slab!  Brian figured this out after some work and the rest of the process went smoothly.  By far the easiest trade to work with during our build-out!

Quality Plumbing has done quite a bit of work at my house and I have never been disappointed. They have run gas lines to our kitchen, dryer and new furnace. They have also replaced toilets, faucets and sinks. Even though a different guy seems to show up each time we call them the quality always remains high. They helped us with out kitchen remodel and what impressed me most was that they clean up after themselves each day. I have never had any trouble with any of the work they have done and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Quality Plumbing got me in reasonably quick for a non-emergency toilet repair. Their tech showed up on time, was pleasant, and got the job done in under their estimated time.  He also charged me LESS than the estimate! Tech's name was David. All in all a great experience.  Should mention I called another local 5 star plumber first and never received a call back.

A plumber from Quality Plumbing just left my house, and I couldn't be happier with his work and their service overall.  He arrived on time (even a bit early!), they called to alert me that he was on his way, then he proceeded to fix the problem promptly.  We were getting no hot water into our faucets, and he drained the faucet hoses and found clogs in each.  Our building had recently turned off the water, and the plumber told me when that happens that clogs sometimes make their way into the system.  The best part of all - their prices!!  Very fair.  Earlier this year we had Day and Nite Plumbing come out to fix a clogged drain - literally, that was the entire problem, and they charged THREE times as much!  For half the time and very little effort.  Certainly no diagnostics!  I will never use them again.  But, I will use Quality Plumbing again.  Their name is an accurate descriptor of their service.  Thanks!!

I am a contractor and a home owner and I understand the difficulties associated with owning and maintaining an older home.  These gentlemen did an excellent job at a very fair price.  As with any job in an older home there were some unexpected difficulties and they were quickly and professionally solved.  They were very polite, very clean and clearly answered all questions.  There were no surprises in the billing and they met their estimate.  I will gladly hire Quality Plumbing again.  Thank you for an outstanding job well done!  Ed Brown

First time use and selected this company based on YELP reviews.  Worked out well.  Called them on a Saturday morning with clogged drains. They were on site within two hours, identified the issue and had it fixed within an hour.   Kudos to Mike Kruger.  Professional, personable and represented the trade well.   Highly recommend QP when you need help and someone you can count on.

A couple of Saturdays ago, my dishwasher clogged and dirty drain water was shooting out of the air gap on my kitchen counter into the sink.  Having had great experiences with Quality Plumbing before, I called their number.  I very quickly got a call back from Nick, who said he would be happy to come out, but that I would have to pay a premium rate because it was a weekend.  He offered instead to talk me through how to fix the problem myself.  I hung up, followed Nick's instructions, and quickly and easily solved the problem.  Thanks Nick for a painless solution to my problem!

I've used Quality Plumbing several times now for both emergancy and non-emergancy needs.  They've always been on time, clean and very nice.  They're really good at explaining what's going on and what the different options are.  I also apreciate that they give you the pros and cons to the options but in a way that doesn't feel like they're selling you a solution.  In my case if they did 'lean' towards a certain solution it's also never been the high priced one but what seems to be the most practical one.

I want to make one other specific note.  More than not when you call to make an appointment, or panicked because your sewer line is backing up into the basement, you get Christy on the line.  She's wonderfull, calm, knowlegable enough to give you some peice of mind till the guys get to your house and paitient no matter how much you're freaking out.  It helps to have someone like her feilding the calls.

Awesome job. Said they would show up between 8:30 - 10:30. They showed up at 8:30. They fixed a faucet in 20 minutes that another large plumbing service couldn't fix! And their rates were very reasonable. Will definitely use them for future services as well as an upcoming remodel.

I called for an estimate on a natural gas piping issue in my yard today and Kristi answered the phone. She listened to my situation and instead of sending out someone to estimate the job she was able to resolve my issue over the phone at no charge. That's the type of customer and altruistic service that keeps people coming back. I won't hesitate to call Quality, the next time I need service.

UPDATE-After sending a letter to the company explaining the posting below idea to inform customers, I see they credited the service charge back to my credit card.  I haven't received a notice about the credit, but the fact that they responded bodes well for them.  I would use them again for service given their reply.  4 stars

Made an appointment for a leaking kitchen fawcett.  Was asking the brand & type and received a date for 1 week later.
Received a confirmation call-good
2 guys arrived w/in time frame-good
Entered the kitchen, pulled out the sprayer turned the inside hose, returned and within 30 seconds was done.-not good
Laughed when I said, that's it.  They said don't feel bad, it happens all the time.-not good

Wrote up the bill and processed for $87 took 5 min.-not good
While processing 1 of the guys chose to smoke in the driveway and leave behind his cigarette but-not good
Seems my job took time away from someone who may have really needed a plumber (for water leaks, clogged toilets, etc) and that when booking appoitments, the question can be put to the customer about usual simple proceedures they should check first.
Would have saved everyone time & some money.  They could have probably made more @ another job, but $80 for 30secs. is pretty good I guess.
Main guy was polite, apologetic about charging me.  I'd call this a company flaw not the plumber.

Bryan and his team at Quality Plumbing have been absolutely wonderful in helping me out with a plumbing situation at my house.  And, at every step of the way, their focus has been on finding the best solution for me.
I have called other plumbing companies before, but until I called Quality Plumbing, I never felt like I was dealing with anyone who cared.  I would recommend Quality Plumbing above all others.
If you are in the Seattle area and need a plumber, definitey call Bryan at Quality.  And, I promise, I don't work for them; they just really helped me out and did so in an extremely friendly and professional manner.  I really can't say enough positive about them.  This is a great company!

I was very impressed by Quality Plumbing's business model. They were recommended, came out and gave me an estimate for a major bathroom remodel, and when the time came, they sent one or two (as needed) professional, courteous, and experienced plumbers every day that they worked on the job, until it was finished. There were a few bumps, mostly due to our naivete, but Quality Plumbing handled them without any stress. When the bill came, it was precisely what they had estimated, in spite of the bumps and a couple of extra visits to verify that the blind-fits of the tub and shower drains were perfect.

I will definitely go back to Quality Plumbing for our next foray into bathroom remodeling. And I think we're going to have them install a new water heater this winter. Ours is 25 years old!

Called this morning because kitchen sink is not draining.   These guys are usually pretty nice.   The gruff bastard I got said that he couldn't come out until he had a credit card number  to secure his overtime.   Usually we have them bill our condo association.   But this guy wasn't having it.

Further, he quoted that because it was a Saturday it would cost $250 for the first hour and $200 for each additional hour.    I'm sorry, but $250 an HOUR?   Did I call a plumber or an effin' Escort Service?!

My advice:  shop around.  You'll probably find a better deal.

I am looking to replace a water heater.  Here is what happened:

1. I spoke to Ken who asked for more information about the existing water heater.  I sent them a jpg of the information and wrote it out in an email.

2. Called the next day, the receptionist received the information and forwarded it to Ken.

3 Two days later , I called about the quote and the receptionist said,Ken is rushing out the door and would call me later today

4. Crickets for two days.
.
5. I called this morning and was told, Ken is rushing out the door and would call me this afternoon.  I told the receptionist to forget it and I won't be calling again.

So, it takes 5 days for a simple estimate and/or arranging a time for a site visit, then nothing, not even a Sorry, we are really busy and can't bid on this right now..  If I had been told that I would respect that but right now, no way.

I read the reviews and thought I'd give Quality Plumbing a try.  But the woman that answered the phone was so abrupt and rude I told her I was going somewhere else.  You'd think they would put pleasant people on the front-line?

These folks are simply the best. I've used them in the past for clogged drain issues.  But today, on the 3rd day of record cold in Seattle, they were simply lifesavers.  Aron is my hero, with Eric running a strong second.  These damn pipes were frozen solid - every one of 'em in the house.  Aron worked and worked for ages, kind and supportive and reassuring the whole time.  After a few hours, Eric brought in the second line of support  (and more gas for the warmer) and they made it happen.  Blessedly, not a single pipe had burst but Aron checked up and down and into the crawl space, tightening a joint here and making sure everything was abso-damn-lutely fine.  Plus, they worked with me financially every step along the way to help me avoid bankruptcy in the process [wry grin].  These are good people who know their stuff and have a heart and a good sense of customer service.  I can't see myself using anyone else.

Our general contractor chose Quality Plumbing for our kitchen/bathroom remodel. They did impeccable work. When our sump pump went out 6 months later, they installed a new one, corrected mistakes made by whoever did the original, and custom fit a new airtight cover. Plus, it is almost silent. Now, they are installing a new tank-less hot water system because our hot water tank started leaking last night. I would say that return business is the best recommendation.

Like Chris, I called Quality Plumbing based on the reviews here, and I was not disappointed.  I had a ceiling leak of undetermined origin (though clearly from a bathroom), and wanted help pronto.  Amber took my call, did a good job to make sure I understood their pricing and let me know that the earliest available time was the afternoon.  Not ideal, though understandable given it's the first day back from the holidays. I asked her to call me if they freed up earlier....and she did just that.  Awesome.  Mike and Nick showed up, asked good questions, were good listeners, were respectful of my home, and were knowledgable and friendly -- and, importantly, were mighty fair when calculating the number of hours used.  I like that should I need their services again for this issue a) I can get the same team again so I don't have to start over with new people, and b) I won't have the pay the minimum again.  This is who I'm calling should I ever have a plumbing problem or project again.

We've used this firm for years, at a number of different houses.  I can't say enough good things about them - they show up on time, do what they say they are going to do, charge a fair price, and are pretty creative in solving difficult problems.  I know I sound like an advertisement for them, but they have always come through for us.

I hired these guys to unclog our shower drain after reading the YELP reviews.  They did a great job.  They showed up early, got right to work and added a valve to my pipe so that I can clean out clogs on my own in the future. They charged me as quoted and were out in less than 1hr -which is good considering our issue.  I would definitely recommend this company.

Efrain from Quality Plumbing came to my townhouse today to repair a minor leak in my kitchen. He was on time, professional and got the work done quickly. Very good!  Prompt response (to an non-emergency), made an appointment right away -- within two days of my call.  The morning of they called ahead to say the plumber was on his way.  He arrived on-time, diagnosed, and fixed the problem within 1.5 hrs.  Jeff was pleasant, knowledgeable, and friendly.  I will definitely use them again.  Price: not inexpensive, but then most plumbers aren't.  The good news is that I now know a reliable plumber that I would use again and recommend without hesitation.  NF downtown - Seattle

Nick of Quality Plumbing came right out and did a great job for a reasonable price.  Unclogged the sewer, but couldn't get the root cutter into the pipe due to our poor access pipe and they don't seem to be able to get to the sewer deeper than say 4-5 feet to dig it out, so we'll get the pipe replaced later.  Nice job so far.  Thanks.  Ken M. of Seattle.

After the first plumbing service I called showed up and didn't have the required part and told me I would have to reschedule, I called Quality.  Great phone customer service.  Scheduled a time frame that the plumber would be there and they were willing to call me 1/2 hour in advance so I didn't have to wait at home.  Showed up on time and went to work.  Michael didn't have the part needed, but before he told me, he had already called the office and was having it picked up and delivered to my house so we didn't have to reschedule.  Nice!  Part received and leak fixed.  I'd use them again and recommend them to all.

Our main water pipe to the house burst and was bubbling up in our front yard.  My husband was able to turn off the water and dug down to the pipe to find the hole.  There weren't too many places willing to come out in the night to try to fix something so we tried Quality and they came out at 10:30 pm.  He tried for 2 hours to fix it while my husband watched but was unable to do it, the pipe was in too bad of shape.  He came back the next day and was able to put in a temporary pipe until we were able to get some estimates on how much it would be to put in a new pipe using a trenchless digger to dig the tunnel for the new pipe through our yard.  After getting 4 quotes, theirs came out pretty reasonable and so we went with them and the whole thing was taken care of in half a day and they did a great job.

I like to do my own home improvement projects and I'd thought I'd solved the leaky washing machine outflow, but alas, everything backed up into the sink and I spent a late night bailing it out so the machine could finish it's cycle. My brother in law (a plumber) recommended I have the outflow line professionally snaked. First I called Rescue Rooter, and they would not give me a service call amount, or an hourly labor charge - but kept insisting I book an appt, which I did - then checked Yelp - then called them back and cancelled because Quality had SUCH better reviews. When I called Rescue Rooter back to cancel my appt I knew I'd get the hard sell again so I lied and told them I was cancelling because I'd snaked it out myself and no longer had a problem.  They STILL tried to come out!?
Quality came out during the window they gave me - I had done all the prep so he was good to go with the snake upon arrival (no wasted time = $$!) The fellow they sent out was so personable & great - appreciated my lack of $$ and got straight to work with a smile. Finished in 30 minutes and put everything back together for me in a very short time. I was billed less than expected and I will DEFINITELY call them next time I have an issue I can't solve myself!  Thanks, Quality!

Ken and Jeff from Quality Plumbing changed out a leaking pipe between my house and our sidewalk.  It was a short enough run they trenched the new pipe (with 1 copper pipe). Our water was shut off for about 3 hours and the new pipe installation looked great (I looked at it before they filled the dirt back in). Jeff had a nice touch with replacing the sod/planters... afterwards it didn't look like they even dug a trench. The places where they worked inside and out were left clean.  Ken did a nice job explaining everything they were doing and offered a lot of plumbing insight  I thought the price they charged was very fair and I would highly recommend them for other plumbing jobs.
