Fantastic and would definitely hire again!

We hired O'Neill to repipe the majority of our house.  We chose them because of extra attention to details during their initial visit.  The crew was on time, very friendly, and happy to answer questions we had along the way.  They did a great job with the work, and we are very happy with the outcome.

Thanks, O'Neill!

I used this company today and it was fantastic!

Jordan was friendly and kind and kept me apprised of the costs for  parts that were beneficial to prevent future issues.  It was evident that he really liked his job and the company he worked for.

I highly recommend this family owned business, which is currently owned by the 4th generation of O'Neil's, who obviously take pride in their service delivery and relish customer satisfaction.

OVERALL: 2.33/5 (Initial rating: 4.66/10). O'Neill was able to book for the Monday after I'd reached out - and they service 6+ story condos. I reached out to them originally on their website when I was trying to find a plumber to help diagnose a mysterious leak.

Verdict: I definitely know not to call this company ever again. I will not recommend this to anyone under any circumstance. The amount of time it took to book this place, plus the lack of price transparency, and the lack of workmanship guarantee/warranty is very concerning for a company that claims to pride itself on their work.

1) VALUE FOR MONEY: 4/10. Not great for transparency - if I had known that a quote would cost me $200 for less than 30 min of work, I'd have called elsewhere.

2) QUALITY: 5/10. The weirdness of booking this place via e-mail was that someone reached out with a Comcast e-mail address mentioning someone else by name, and that they would reach out to put me on the schedule.

That second person did indeed schedule me, but didn't tell me that it would cost $200 for less than 30 minutes of work. There was no price quoted on the visit -- and this is where I take issue.

3) SERVICE: 5/10. The next biggest issue (besides the price opaqueness) with this place is that I don't even know if their diagnosis was correct. They didn't provide me with any kind of written confirmation of the issue, or a warranty if their diagnosis was incorrect.

Farmer just looked underneath the dishwasher and said I needed to replace it. I still don't have a great answer to my problem, but now I have to go find a company to install a dishwasher in a condo.

Workers from this company came to work on the apartment that I am staying at several times.

They were helpful, professional, and solved several of my problems.

I highly recommend O'Neill Plumbing! We hired them to repair a couple of leaky outside faucets, and John, the plumber they assigned to us, was fantastic! He explained everything he planned to do, gave us an accurate and reasonable quote, did the work efficiently, and then again explained everything he had done. He was friendly, kind, polite, and punctual throughout. We will use O'Neill Plumbing again when the need arises.

Called O'Neill For a clogged bathroom sink drain. They were easy to schedule, showed up on time, fixed the clog in a timely manner. Pricing was fair, service was excellent.

Last night during a midnight trip to the little boy's room I realized that my normally dry bathroom had turned into a walk-in tub. There was water all over the entire floor and it was almost at the point of seeping out of the bathroom.

After sacrificing a roll of paper towels to clean it up I found out the culprit was a broken shut off valve under sink. I got online and chatted with O'Neill Plumbing's chatbot. Within ten minutes a real person wrote me back saying they would call in the morning. And they did! They called at 7:30 and there were two plumbers at my door by 8.

The plumbers - Michael K. and his apprentice - were polite, quick, competent and efficient. They figured out the problem right away and got to work. They wore masks and booties in the house.  It took them about an hour from start to finish to fix the issue.

I've used this company a few other times and have always had similar experiences. I know finding contractors can be super frustrating - especially for smaller jobs or emergency repairs. O'Neill makes it easy!

I woke up to the worst news a few weeks ago.  The local water district banging on my door telling me I have a major water leak and they are shutting off my water.  I called O'Neil Plumbing at they came out early the next morning and fixed the issue.  Luckily, it was my pressure release valve right next to the water main so instead of tearing up my concrete rockery and driveway, they spent a few minutes digging and replaced the valve.  My 10-20k job turned out to be $2,100 from them.

Then a few days ago the water company left a note on my door stating I still had a leak. When I called them to ask if it could be a toilet, I was told no it was the repair.

O'Neil came back out and checked the repair and it was dry.  They think it is the toilet in one of my bathrooms that needs to be replaced.

I cannot say enough about them.  Mike was very kind and understanding.  I will not hesitate to contact them again in the future.

Save your time, money, and anxiety and call O'Neil Plumbing.

These people are pathetic. No service. No customer service. For service - I met with them to discuss a whole house water filtration system and they said I needed to figure for myself what parts and system to use. So no service. For customer service - I did do my own research and selected a system and corresponded with them and about the parts and then he just disappeared. His last correspondence to me was that I should buy 40 feet of pipe - that's right 40 feet! As if I were doing the whole neighborhood. So no customer service either. If you care about the people you interact with - then I highly suggest you keep looking.

I have had O'Neill Plumbing come out to my place twice, and both times have been great experiences! John Keigley was my plumber each time. After he came out once, he learned where my place was (the GPS is often wrong) and remembered when he returned over a year later. His work was efficient and excellent! More info is below about the work.

I am at high risk for COVID-19, and when he saw me wearing a mask today at the gate to my complex he proactively asked if I wanted him to wear one, which I really appreciated because asking someone to mask can be contentious at times. When I said yes, he quickly pulled out a good quality N95/KN95 mask and put it on before we were indoors. He was respectful about keeping a distance inside as well. I know this is a lot of talk about COVID precautions, and not plumbing, but as someone high risk, inviting a stranger into my home is scary. It seems that many contractors are viewing COVID and COVID precautions as a thing of the past, so I very much appreciated John taking it seriously.

The first time I had O'Neill come out to my condo was when I moved in, in May 2021. They sent out John to replace my 21-year-old water heater which was a risk of failure and showing signs of leaks. It has been smooth sailing since. No leaks, no massive floods to due an ancient water heater giving up, and hot water as needed!

The most recent time was today, June 2022. I had purchased a new washer from Costco, and on Monday after they came to deliver it, they said they would not install it due to concerns about evidence of corrosion and leaks on the washer shutoff valves. I called O'Neill that Monday afternoon and they scheduled John to come out early Friday morning. John replaced the valves quickly and carefully, keeping water from spewing everywhere even though my condo's water shutoff was a bit tricky. He also pointed out a potential issue with my shower's handle and offered to fix it then too (I decided to wait). He was great with my 12.5-year-old poodle who likes to be nosy and watch people work or lie on the carpet directly in front of where they need to go.

When it was time to pay today, John made sure to inform me of the different fees for different payment options, so I could make an informed decision about which fit my budget best. I appreciated that!

Overall, I have had great experiences with O'Neill and I will continue to highly recommend them to folks in the future.

O'Neill Plumbing was recommended to my by Mercer Island Hardware for an intermittent mystery leak inside my house.  O'Neill was quick to schedule .  The plumber came out, but did not charge me because the leak was not leaking, and the origin of the leak was not apparent.  He recommended a leak detection service.  No luck with them either.  I tore out some drywall and found the leak.  I could have replaced the shower thermostatic control unit myself, but I wanted peace of mind that the leak was corrected by a pro before I reinstall the drywall.  O'Neil's price was very reasonable, and worth it to me.  In the event I need a plumber in the future, I will call O'Neill.   4th generation family business; reputable.

The team from O'Neill Plumbing just installed a new copper water service at my home and did an outstanding job. Mike, Lorenzo and Carl prepared for the boring and made the necessary connections and upgrades on time, with expertise and cleaned up thoroughly. Mike, the lead plumber, ensured that the City came out and installed a new copper pig-tail from the city main to my property. Excellent work.

O'Neill has been our condo plumbing company for many years.  We always request for John to be our plumber.  He is exemplary in many ways.... his expertise, his tenaciousness, his ability to explain issues and remedies and of course, his workmanship!  Recently because of his thoroughness, John discovered a leak in an owner's unit...had he not found it, the unit would have been totally flooded because the owner was gone for 6 months.  We sure hope his company appreciates him as much as we all do!

We have used these folks for plumbing for at least 15 years. They have always gotten to us as expediently as they could. The work has always been done by professional and courteous plumbers. Their work has always held up. I can't give a higher recommendation, really.

In today's episode, I had raw sewage backed up into my bathtub. I called them first thing on a Monday - they were already full, so I went on their waitlist. I was called less than 2 hours later saying they had a plumber available. Nels and Connor were the awesome plumbers they sent this time. I got a full explanation of what was going on, and suggestions on how to go easy on our pipes in the future. The problem itself was quickly resolved. (I also learned that a disposal is not a magic space age food obliterating laser gun, but something that does a mediocre job of chopping some stuff up and not really doing anything to prevent pipe blockages...)

My pipes under the kitchen sink leaked on Sunday, Christmas day.  I called and got an appointment for someone to come at 1:30 on Monday.  After no one showed, I called a couple hours later and was promised a call back and visit.  I had to call several times and got the same promise.  The last time, the receptionist gave me an email address which I used.  It's Wednesday evening, and I have never heard from them.  Bee's Plumbing came and saved the day.  Quick, friendly competent service and a better price.

I wanted my garbage disposal removed. I was told it was going to be $175 per half hour. Two people came. It took 40 minutes. Since I was getting billed in half hour increments, anyway, they offered to inspect plumbing in other parts of the house to round out the rest of the time. Todd was very knowledgeable and pointed out areas that could be fixed. In the end, it cost $455 w tax to get my garbage disposal removed. I wish I had just had asked my regular handyman earlier if he could do it, because he only charges $85 an hour. I only found out later from a friend that garbage disposal removals do not require a plumber. Todd's Inspection did yield valuable information. For example, Todd pointed out that my water heater has been installed not to code (I'm working w Lowes to fix that now, since they had installed it). I pointed out a faucet that used to drip, and he turned it on to test it. Later on, it kept dripping for a couple of days and I had emailed ONeills but I got no response about how to fix it. Fortunately, it stopped on its own. I can imagine going back for complicated plumbing issues, but not simple stuff. 5 stars for service, 3 stars for value. So that's why I'm giving 4 stars. Just know it's super $$$$

Highly recommend O'Neil Plumbing. Their plumbers Bobby and Frank were timely, professional, and did not try to sell me services I dont need. Ive previously used several different plumbing services in Seattle, and have been less than impressed. I found O'Neil Plumbing had high marks, tried them, and now have used them twice. I will continue to use O'Neil in the future when needed.

Professional, courteous, and efficient. Our basement bathroom/laundry room drains started back flowing sewage on a Sunday, after Christmas, in a snowstorm.  They were honest that the earliest appointment was Tuesday (but no other plumbers could come earlier either), were punctual even though they were concerned about ice on the roads, treated my home with a respect that past plumbers have not (covered their shoes, did it scratch tiles), and got the problem fixed in an hour. There's nothing like living with sewage for two days to really appreciate a good plumber!

From initial diagnosis, to talking through repairs, to actually fixing the issue - Jeff R. went above and beyond my expectations for a gas fireplace shutoff valve repair. ONeill's bid came in less than two other highly regarded plumbers, and they even found a way to replace the valve without cutting a hole in my drywall (other plumbers said no other way to replace w/o cutting).

Will definitely call Jeff & O'Neill for any additional gas plumbing, and likely any traditional water line plumbing as well.

We had an old hose bibb that was dripping and a ball valve that was supposed to shut off the water to that hose bibb that was no longer shutting off completely. I had someone from another plumbing company out earlier in the week for an unrelated drainage issue (I wish I had contacted O'Neill for that one as well). They gave a rough estimate of $12-1500 for the repair, but then never got back to me like they said they would.) On a T&M basis that seemed quite high, and he gave me a mealy-mouthed response about cost of materials, labor (even though I knew their hourly rate) and that they guarantee their work. I found O'Neill and gave them a call. They said the job sounded pretty straightforward and estimated at the most an hour per part of the job but said they would come out to give a free estimate. Colin and Frank arrived in the time window they said and quickly came up with an estimate of an hour total labor plus parts. That included cutting into the inside wall to replace the hose bib properly instead of unscrewing the old one from the pipe coming out of the house and putting on a non-frost free one, which the other guy wanted to do. Colin found a bit of an issue with the way the pipe was inside the wall and suggested that it would be a better fix if they went further back along the wall. All of this without adding to the additional time estimate. When all was said and done, we have a new valve under the house and a new frost-free hose bibb, all for less than half what the other guy said it might cost. If I need a plumber again in the future, I know who I will call.

When I called, I was told about the company's time and materials policy. I just wanted to feng shui an ugly nonfunctioning little water heater by getting rid of it and making a cubby in the unused space for my laundry basket.  An electrician had assured me that what I needed was a plumber since the water heater was not connected. I assumed the job would take half an hour and that would be an okay price for the job.

Two men came, took a few photos and and told me they couldn't do the job because it required an electrician to move wires. Their 15 minutes was charged at $185. What I hadn't realized was that all the wires hanging down were live and the electrical box would have to be moved permanently to do what I wanted. Not worth it.

I am 72. I recall when venders would give estimates free in order to try to win business. I try to do most things myself because when men come to do it, I get ripped off, but usually they do something. I just got through
shingling my shed roof for less that what it took for these two plumbers to do nothing, take my money, and not feel bad about it.

The time-and-materials company is now off my list.

Todd and Jordan were able to get here just over an hour after I called on Saturday afternoon with an emergency request - I can't imagine a better response time, and none of the other 4 companies I called could even come close.
They were thorough, explained everything they did like I deserved the info as the homeowner but not as though I were dumb or uninformed - other middle aged women who've dealt with less skilled communicators understand what I'm talking about!
Todd and Jordan were responsive to my requests, offering services with clear info on what things cost and how long they'd take.
I absolutely recommend O'Neill.

It's been a while since I've needed a plumber, but I have used O'Neill before. For me, what began as a slow draining tub, then became a fully clogged tub. I tried to snake the drain myself, but couldn't get it cleared. I think that I lucked out in calling O'Neill, as they came and tried with their commercial snake, but then after further review, needed to run a camera down the drain. This is where the fun began.

The tech showed me the camera footage, and he said that you shouldn't be able to see dirt/soil from your drain, doh. I guess my 100-year old house and the cement sewer drains had given way. At this point you have an option: you can do this liner thing where they fix it through the existing pipe, or you can replace all the pipe. In my case the cost was about the same so I had them replace the whole thing, from my house to the middle of the street. It cost about $11,000 and tore up my yard, but I was very happy with the service and the price provided by O'Neill. Particularly when I saw my neighbor having to do the same thing, but he had to pay $20,000.

On the quality of the staff, I have to give them high marks. However, their visit fee is pretty high compared with other local firms (I found out subsequently) and although they assessed the problem the first visit, they then needed to order the parts and then charged the full service fee again for the second visit.....nearly $700 to replace a spare part that cost less than $50...there must be a better way...!!!

Nelson came by this morning and, while my appointment was for 8:00 I received a phone call yesterday saying he would be at my house between 8:00 and 8:30. Not ideal. So he showed up at 8:20 to effectively replace my toilet innards.

I had to rush out to get to work this morning, but it appears as though he did a good job, and left the toilet functioning and now using less water per flush with my new hardware! Will update if the toilet condition changes.

The reason for a three star instead of a four star review is the price. $280 per hour. I was expecting about $100-120 an hour, and I think the most expensive plumber I've had before this was something along the lines of $150/hr. I've had someone come in and replace an entire toilet before for under $200. So, including the one part he had on hand that I needed, the bill was $332. I'm trying to do the math, and I'm struggling. A $90,000/yr salary would be $43/hr. Add overhead of 200% for truck, tools, office, health insurance, etc, and you're at $130/hr. Even with travel to and from, which is about 10 minutes from the office, and I'm at $173 for an hour of work. Uh uh, nope.

I waited 2 1/2 weeks for this company to get me scheduled for an estimate. Today when I called to confirm they are coming between 12 and 2, they didn't see my name.  Then he looked up my address and said the estimator was out of the office all week. They never bothered to call me to change the date. It took me calling them! My brother drove 150 miles round trip to meet with the estimator who is a no show. This company cannot be relied upon to keep a scheduled commitment. There is no way I could trust them to keep to a bathroom remodel time commitment that relies on cooperation with another vendor who will be doing tile work.

The one star is for the actual physical service of threading a pipe which they completed and so far seems to be working fine. If I could give O'Niell Plumbing a negative star on customer service, I would. They have a major communication breakdown in their office, from general questions, scheduling and billing. Expect to be surprised when you get your bill with unexpected charges/tool rental fee, and expect to get the runaround and blamed for them being late, not showing up or misunderstanding about what you're being charged for. I can't even go into details about how many communication breakdowns I had with them because it would surely surpass the allowed character count limit.

Responsive and quick, showed up early for both the estimate and the repair. Quoted us less than other companies for a hot water heater replacement and were able to fit us in first thing the next morning. These folks were amazing! i contacted a total of 4 highly rated Plumbing companies and O'Neill Plumbing was the ONLY one willing to estimate the cost of installing a kitchen faucet over the phone - NOT a repair, an installation. The others said the plumber had to come out, see the job in person and estimate on site ... one company said there would be a visit cost whether i used them or not. Ridiculous way to do business! You would think companies would have historical data to draw on to reasonably estimate the time involved in installing fixtures ...

O'Neill booked the job, Steve came out and installed it in less than 30 minutes at a cost of 121.00 dollars - WOW! O'Neill has won our loyalty as our plumber of choice going forward!

Let's face it, lot of plumbers get a bad rap, sometimes deservedly. Not these guys. The lady who answered the phone was friendly when booking an appointment. The plumber showed up exactly on time at 10am, even though I was given a 10 to noon window. He took care of snaking the clogged sink promptly and didn't try to sell me other things I didn't need or pad the bill. Just straight labor costs for his time. The cost was reasonable for a professional service. I like giving good reviews when deserved. Keep up the good work. I would use them again.

I have used O'Neill plumbing on several occasions both at my primary home and my rental, and have always had amazing service. Most recently I had an issue with my sink at home and I had to have it looked at twice. The second time they sent someone who spent an hour there to make sure that it was all working properly, and the company did not even charge me for the follow up! Their service is impeccable, all of the people I have dealt with are courteous, knowledgeable and simply wonderful, which is rare these days.  I highly highly recommend this company.

Never again.

Just got a $260.00 bill from them for coming to my house for 20 minutes and replacing a Moen bathtub cartridge.

Breakdown:

$140.00 for 20 minutes of work
$95.00 for a part you can get for $35.00 on amazon

Took 3 days for them to come out to do the work, and took 9 days to get my bill in the mail. The bill came 2 days before it was due.

Fast, no.
Affordable, certainly no. Huge ripoff.

50 year guaranteed permanent-liner-best price in town.  No changes in price from first estimate through completion.

I think most of us are nervous about contracting with a company to line or repair our sewers.  Unlike all of my neighbors, we were lucky we had a completely intact clay sewer that had never caused us problems. We decided to make the investment and line those clay tiles-All 103 feet of them, all the way from stack to the city line before something did go wrong.

We collected estimates from four of the best reviewed companies on Nextdoor and Angie's list, even got a bid from a Everett company, but we were fortunate enough to watch O'Neill line my neighbor's Sewer and loved how respectful they were to my yard and my neighbor's yard.

We decide to get a bid from them and it was actually the lowest bid by just a hair.  However, seeing the crew in person was what convinced me to use them.

Working with Cevin and his small profession crew was the best experience.  They left my house and yard better than they found it, were friendly, quiet, and didn't show up too early or stay too late.  They were here for three days and and now I don't have to worry about my sewer for 50 years!

Also note:  not all companies will give you the 50 year guarantee on all the work they do including pvc pipe.  This company was the only company to give us that.

Woke up this morning and tried to take a shower, but had no hot water. Oh no! I called O'Neill and they said they were booked solid, but could put me on a wait list. I said okay and about an hour later they called and said a plumber could be at my house in 20 minutes. Hooray! Steve arrived and quickly fixed the water heater (the thermostat was broken). The charge was $140 per half hour (it took him less than 30 minutes to fix, but that is the base charge) plus the cost of the new thermostat. There was a $30 off coupon on their website so the fix came in at under $200.

Hot water is back! YAS. Thank you, O'Neill.

After having another plumbing company attempt to resolve my clogged kitchen sink drain, I reached out to O'Neill. I was able to quickly schedule an appointment and John Keigley came to my home to diagnose and fix the issue I was having. John was able to fix my drain in under 30 minutes while the other plumbing company took over 2 hours and did not resolve my problem. John took the time to explain what the problem was, offer clear and friendly advice about the issue, and charged a very fair fee. I cannot recommend O'Neill Plumbing enough, and John is an excellent plumber and kind man. 5 stars!

My wife and I were very frustrated with a faucet that we had recently purchased at another store. We had given up and went to O'Neill to purchase a new faucet and have them install it. After arriving in the showroom (by appointment) Tyler spent a lot of time answering our questions and gave us suggestions on how we could fix our existing issue without costly replacement or repairs. His simple suggestion worked, and we are grateful to have avoided a large expense. We greatly appreciate their professionalism and look forward to working with them on our future plumbing needs.

My 50 gal electric water heater in my townhouse was going on 13 years so had to get it replaced.  Decided to go with O'Neill since their bid was about the same as some of the bigger companies and I rather support a local small business.  I first reached out to them via email and their office person, Dayton, responded to me right away.  He gave me estimates over email and advised there is an $80 charge for coming out to do an in person estimate but this will get deducted in the overall bill if O'Neill end up doing the job. That seems reasonable to me since that seems to be the industry standard.  I would highly recommend this because an in-person estimate allows them to see if there are any other issues going on and put together a bid that is more accurate.  Do this if you don't like surprises like me.  Nelson (with mask on) came out do the estimate and gave me a few options. He came on time, was very knowledgeable and respectful.  He also emailed me the bid right after our appointment.  I had a few more questions on the bid and Dayton was able to answer them over email.  On the day of the job, the plumber that came out was John and his assistant, Vicente.  They were on time, had their masks on the whole time, and had their shoe covers on every time they came into the house.  They had to trek in and out quite a bit as they used the front yard for staging their supplies so I really appreciated they did that.  A few things that impressed me.  At the end of the job John asked me if he could go back and check on something to make sure he installed everything right. I told him of course, take as long as you need.  It speaks volume to me that a company takes the time to do a job right versus rushing to do the next job on their list.  John also shared with me he's been with the company for 15 years and really enjoy working for this family business. I think that if you can retain an employee for that long, you must know how to treat your employees right and that's the kind of company I want to give my business to.  Lastly, when I receive my final invoice, without me asking for it John gave me a $30 coupon that was happening now and also took some labor charges off the original estimate because they finished early.  Wow! Who doesn't like saving money right?  I would recommend O'Neill for sure. They checked off all the boxes for me as far as honesty, quality work, on time, customer service, and respect.  One last thing, I would also recommend scheduling your appointment first thing in the morning if you are inflexible on time and always allow more time than necessary for the job. This will help to hopefully avoid unforeseen problems.  On O'Neill, I would give them my business again. Very satisfied.

O'Neill Plumbing to the rescue again.  I have found them very responsive and professional whenever I needed their help.  The first time was 3 years ago on Christmas Eve.  We had a major water leak outside of the house and it was very cold.  They resolved the problem through the Christmas Holiday and never charged more because it was the Holiday.  The last time with the COVID-19 situation going on and we are in our late 70s and 80 years old, they were here to take care of our plugged-up kitchen sinks when all of my efforts were not effective.  They took are of the problem in record time and again, no additional charges and to me it was an emergency situation.  We are not just old, I am the caregiver of my husband and really needed to be able to keep everything clean and sanitary.

Anyway, I don't think you can go wrong if you choose them for a job.

PS:  They a complete repluming on this house when we did a major renovation back in the early 2000s.  Never a bit of problem until I plugged up the kitchen sinks.

These guys are so helpful & will make sure everything is done right & up to code! We had James & Kyle come by to install a new gas valve because previous owner of our house had mickey moused the gas dryer & they installed our new washer & dryer. These guys were honest, pricing of the job was reasonable & they bent over backwards to make sure our washer & dryer were installed correctly & answered every question we had. We are so glad we called O'Neill Plumbing. We will definitely be calling them for the next job!

Plumber arrived early and didn't waste time. He took the faucet apart and replaced whatever was broken inside. Maybe I could have replaced the faucet for the same price, but they did what they said they would.  Wiped up  footprints too.  Fair price, no overcharges or surprise billing. Good!

Called O'Neil Plumbing to repair external faucet that cracked over the winter. Small miscommunication with regards to appointment day & time (Thursday vs Tuesday), not a big deal as I was working from home both days. Gentlement that came out was knowledgeable and arrived on time. He took the time to explain what caused faucet issue and ways to avoid it moving forward. As a first time home-owner, I appreciate the education lesson I received. One small issue, he accidentally bumped into our floor lamp which now needs to be replaced. I pulled up the price for a new floor lamp with the smart build, without complicating matters he simply deducted lamp cost from the total bill. Overall, I would use O'Neil service.

Price: 7/10 ($280 per hour)

Pretty disappointed in the local company. I was referred to them by my regular plumber since he was busy. I own several rental properties in the area and grew up here so I like to stay local but will go elsewhere for now on after this experience.
I had leaking pipes in a rental that caused the ceiling  to fail. I called O'Neill plumbing to fix the leak. They were prompted and told me it was fixed so I scheduled for the ceiling to be repaired and was told by my handyman that they're was still a leak. I called O'Neill up again and explained that the pipes were still leaking and the job was not complete. I was adamant that I shouldn't be charged twice for resale job but they just blew me off and said they would talk to the technician.......so I get 2 bills twice the cost because of they're miss diagnosis/ error.
No thanks!!!!

If you hire this company and they do faulty repairs, get ready for a migraine.  In July 2016 I experienced my first sewer backup.  Tim O'neills crew came out and after two days of augering, couldn't clear the line and couldn't determine the problem.  They decided the blockage was 79 feet from my house in the middle of my back yard and had to dig to replace the portion of blocked pipe.  After two more days and them replacing the portion of sewer line-The system was still backed up and was not flowing.  Next morning they spent more time and decided the problem was on the side of the house (79 feet) from where they dug up the line.  They cleared it, never determined what the problem was but the system was flowing.

Fast forward to last week, less than two years later and I am experiencing another backup.  O'neill's crew came back out with a camera this time to determine the problem.  They augered it and ran a camera through the entire line.  The backups occurred because the line next to the house is approx 2 lower than the portion that carries water to the rest of the line down the back yard.  So, the water never continually expels enough and eventually begins to back up as toilet paper accrues in that portion of the system.

What we also saw on the camera is that the original portion of the pipe they replaced ($ 3,000) has slipped a good two inches and is leaking sewer water into my backyard.  I was told by their manager after he gave me a $ 17,000-$24,000) estimate for installing a liner 'not to mention it' as he would include fixing that pipe in his estimate.  RIGHT.

So, after 3 days trying to speak to Jennifer and Kelli, I am told Tim O'Neill (Owner)  is well aware of the faulty repair and of me being charged to replace a portion of the pipe that wasn't even the cause of the backups and wasn't damaged to begin with--and that the estimate I was given to run a liner is their estimate for repair.  In other words, they will not warranty their work and they don't care if they do faulty repairs.

I will revise this review if Tim O'Neill decides to do the right thing and repair the faulty work his crew performed less than two years ago--which means digging up the pipe they installed and replacing or resetting it.  Why would I hire O'Neill Plumbing to do more repairs if they will not even honor the work they did previously?

Right now, I can honestly say worst experience I've ever had with a plumbing company...they are not the same company my parents and neighbors grew up with.  They used to have such a great reputation for honest and professional work....NOT ANYMORE!

Called last nite around 8:30 or so as our hot water heater would not stop beeping... A plumber called fairly quickly but after a few minutes of us telling him what was wrong he told us he couldn't come till morning ... Like really dude ? The beeping was driving us nuts and we didn't know what was wrong .. We then called Beacon plumbing...(yes Marshawn Lynch) .. One of their plumbers called us right away and asked me to text him pictures of our water heater... So when he got the pictures he has us look under the water heater pan and feel around.. We found a white alarm box with a battery ( water sensor ) .. We were able to take battery out and stop beeping !! We will monitor our water heater for the next few days but the other plumber from Beacons didn't hesitate to help us!!

A friend staying was staying in our house while we were out of town for an extended period of time. She noticed that our basement tub looked as if there was some sewage that came up from the pipe. I knew this was very likely just due to the tub being unused for quite a while, but she insisted we call a plumber.

We called O'Neill plumbing to come out on a non-emergency visit to check the basement tub for issues. They had availability the next day, between 10 and 12.

The plumber didn't show up until around 2pm. He said he'd give us a break on price, so the $275 price tag is apparently discounted in some way. Seems dubious.

He was there for about half an hour and said there wasn't any problem with the drain, just to run the water more often. He looked and said there might be some maintenance needed later to the main drain line. He also replaced a few parts on the tub drain while he was there that weren't strictly needed. I think he just wanted to have something to show for showing up.

Total time in our home was less than an hour, which was why the $275 bill was such a surprise (almost all of that being labor).

I can't say enough good things about the two men that showed up to fix my daughter's plumbing issue. They were on time (early actually) and put on shoe covers before walking in. We just inherited some rental properties. A drain in one of our units was clogged and water was backing up into the shower. Unfortunately, this problem occurred going into the weekend, but O'Neill was able to slot us a position on their schedule for Monday. Nels was our service person. He arrived at the beginning of the two-hour window that we were assigned and immediately went to work. He quickly diagnosed what the problem was and our backup was quickly alleviated. While he was there, he also took a look at a slow draining laundry tub and a few faucets that were giving one of our tenants a problem. All along, he was pleasant in his demeanor and very professional in fixing our concerns. When he was finished, he explained exactly what he had done and told us that if we had any questions, we could call to have them addressed.

I noticed that some of the reviewers have complained that their prices appear to be high. For me, I think their rates are reasonable when you consider that they show up when they say they will, they quickly go to work, they know how to fix the problem, and they are pleasant to deal with. I would much rather deal with this scenario than maybe try to save a few bucks and have to hassle with unexpectedly bad results. O'Neill Plumbing will definitely be on our go to list of plumbers when the need arises in the future.

This is the company to call if you need service.  I have been using them for years now on necessary projects and repairs in my home.  Always pleased and happy with the response and result. Most recently it was a simply problem repaired, a pilot light issue on my hot water tank.  They beat the scheduled appointment time, quickly made the repair.  Tyler was professional and pleasant through the process.  Now, the bill, made me even happier when I found that the replaced part was under warranty.  Call them if you want quality professional service.

I would NEVER use these guys, again. I'll keep it short.
I have an expensive faucet from a MAJOR manufacturer. I told them this, and even supplied by email a link to the schematics. I ordered the parts needed to fix the leak, anticipating that one. The first plumber showed up without the schematic, just a web page, and I supplied the printed schematic. He very quickly realized he didn't have the tools shown on the schematic needed to make repairs without damage and we agreed after calling the manufacturer HE would come back. The manufacturer sent more parts and some tools (for a later design, which he should have caught), and a DIFFERENT plumber showed up who knew absolutely nothing about the design, and, ultimately advised he, too, didn't have the needed tools to make repairs (strap wrench?) without likely damaging the faucet. We were asked to take this risk and refused. The faucet was reassembled, and as agreed with the first plumber and someone in the office, we then paid for ALL work, or two visits, totaling more than $600. Finally, though we paid the second plumber in FULL, we got a later bill for the first plumber's work (the second plumber demanded payment for the first plumber's work, and his own, and this was paid by credit card on the spot, a cumulative sum!) Sum: my efforts at providing information to both plumbers to aid and expedite the work were largely or fully ignored, and the faucet still leaks. NEVER, again.

Don't do business with this company. This company is compromised of liars. Two of their employees struck my car with their work truck, proceeded to then drive away, and after I reported the issue to their company 10 minutes later, at first their manager, Phil, denied that they ever send their trucks out with more than one employee and then denied that their truck was even at that location. He tried to blame the situation on a different local plumbing company. When I investigated and proved it was not the other company, Phil and then their owner Tim O'Neill quickly changed their tune to state that in fact there were two people in the truck and in fact their own GPS tracking information showed the truck being at that exact reported location at that exact time. When their insurance company interviewed their employees they denied all of this. Bunch of crooks. Time to see them in court.

Called, and they came out right on time the next morning. Put 100feet of snake down my basement sewer, and was in and out in 1 hour.

They are a bit pricey at $280 per hour, but Nel's wasted no time. Offered some helpful advice, discouraged me from shelling out more money for a camera inspection, and even showed me the online sewer map, which showed I shared a long side sewer line with my neighbor. That will come in handy should I ever have expensive problems with that line.

Would use them again. Got a $30 coupon online, which brought the total price to $275 with tax

I've used O'Neill many times over the years for sewer line repair, water line repair and hot water tank installation.  We'd gotten a new dishwasher and it required a plumber to finish the install. There was a little problem with a leak and it caused some warping in the area of the new dishwasher on our hardwood floor.  Tim O'Neill was apologetic and wanted to make it right.  He recommended a great floor refinisher (D&D in Renton) and was generous in the sharing of the cost to refinish not just the area affected but the entire kitchen floor.  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend O'Neil and will continue to always call them if the need arises.

I had a horrible re-pipe experience a few years back with a different local company.  I needed to replace a tiny gasket and I first called that other company that had done all the work just 3 years ago.  They were completely unhelpful and uncaring whatsoever.  I called O'Neill and described my problem.  Lovely lady who answered listened and said Let me connect you with parts manager guy, I bet he can help.  OMG!  He knew exactly what I was talking about, he knew why I was having trouble finding just the part I needed, told me exactly what it was called, and apologized that he didn't have the piece.  He repeated the part name, I looked it up on amazon and got it for $9 the next day and was able to replace it myself.  So appreciated that 5 minutes from O'Neill!  I will always call them first for all of my plumbing needs from now on!!!

First off, I don't know why there are two O'Neill plumbing companies listed in Seattle that go eventually to the same webpage but they have different addresses.

Secondly, we worked with O'Neill as a subcontractor hired by our furnace installation company. As such I wasn't involved in negotiating the price.

Lastly, my review is A-Ok because the quality is decent though the interactions were strained and less than stellar. They were replacing all the horizontal pipes in our old house, which was quoted as a one day job.

Before they sent a quote to the project manger, they stopped by the house and talked to us. I told them what we expected and wanted. They were receptive and everything seemed peachy.

On the day of the installation, somehow we got a plumber that was on the grumpy side. That is, he reluctantly answered questions, didn't really want to listen to what we had talked about with the project lead, and was not very open. I like to assume he was busy. On the other hand he also told me that frankly he works for the contracting company and not for me, the owner.

We asked if they could rotate the already disconnected and emptied water tank. They gave us a quote that was around $300 which I felt was on the high end. The furnace folks, almost did it themselves for free because they are nice folks :).

After the water was reconnected, the residue on the pipes had gone up the faucets and the kitchen faucet was unusable. They dealt with this very professionally in the sense that the project manager said go ahead and change it. Before calling the project manager I asked the plumber on site if we will be charged for this and he said (in an ironic tone) well I can leave you with it here open and we can figure out in the next couple of days if you prefer, or I can change it now and figure out where it's charged later.

All in all, the plumbing seems to be holding on fine (6 months post installation).  The pipes were laid out nicely with good attachments. I do wish it was so much our interactions didn't involve so much reluctance but I guess such is life.

Great service! I got a call back early this morning after an online request last night. They scheduled for this afternoon and gave me a call 30 minutes ahead to give me a heads up. The plumber, John Keigley, went right to task and completed the urgent job with one sink then fixed an existing issue with another sink all in one hour! Bonus points for using pipes we had already purchased at Home Depot (when we thought we could fix it ourselves), and he also took the time to point out some other situational facts with the configuration of the final plumbing. Nice guy too!

Fantastic service.  They are prompt, professional, and friendly.  They are honest and charged me fairly and even rounded their second 1/2 hour down to 15 minutes.  I paid on the spot for a job well done.

Before them, I went through one plumber who wasn't sure what the issue could be and never called to come back out to the site as he said, then another plumber was a  no-show twice, a third plumber changed his rate after arriving, and a fourth plumber started his first appointment of the day way too late in the day for me to wait and still make it to work by lunch time.  O'neill diagnosed the issue as a simple one compared to the others, got it right, fixed it in 15 minutes, and had time to fix another issue with my dishwasher drain.

Highly recommend them, thank you.

Had no hot water due to bad piping of hot water heater by the previous owners. O'Neill sent an inexperienced plumber out, who misdiagnosed the problem and replaced two different parts in the hot water heater over several visits. When the hot water heater failed yet again, they sent out a more experienced guy who immediately diagnosed the bad pipe installation. Over $7700 when all was said and done. Never again.

So many things wrong with this company.  VERY unprofessional.  I called up a long time ago to set an appointment for today, as today is a Holiday and I have it off work (I work M-F), and O'Neill plumbing only works M-F.  So this was the only time I could do it and I'm using up my work holiday to fix my pipes. I set an appointment to have my plumbing pipes re-latched, as the pipes were starting to droop and it was becoming a consistent back-up problem.  I asked when booking the appointment if they needed a consultation for the work and they said no, they'd send two guys with all the equipment and they were sure they could handle it.  I then tacked on replacing tw0 toilets and a garbage disposal, why not, as it was already going to be a big job.  They said the guys would show up at 9am today, and that I'd receive a call 30 min before arrival to check in and warn me they were on their way.   I call them on Friday (3 days ago) to check on the time of arrival (as the appointment was made a long time ago) and specifically request (make sure) a phone call would be received prior, so that I could prepare for their arrival.  One guy (not two) shows up at 8:10am, a full hour early, and no phone call was received.  Right away that was enough of a problem - after all - I had JUST called to ask that I receive a 30 min prior phone call on Friday and O'Neill plumbing said they put that note on the service request.  The guy this morning said that was not on his service request.  I also asked where the other professional was - there was supposed to be two - and there was only one guy.  He said it was just him.  I asked how he was going to do the re-latching with one person and he said that job wasn't even on his schedule - all he was scheduled to do was replace two toilets and a garbage disposal.  No mention of the actual job that needed to be done at all.

O'Neill plumbing has screwed me out of my one opportunity to have this job performed - as now I have to wait for the next company holiday where a plumbing company will be working and I will not be.  If I had known they weren't going to do the job I hired them to do I obviously would have gone with someone else.  I sent the one plumber home without getting the two toilets or garbage disposal - O'Neill plumbing does not deserve my money, and they don't deserve yours either.

STELLAR customer service, efficiency, communication (which was so so awesome), problem-solving (which was even better than the communication), and workmanship. They were phenomenal. We had a drainage issue which was estimated to be $5,600 by a reputable local plumber whom I've used in the past. O'Neill came out and looked at the problem from all sides, and really took their time to figure out a creative, sensible, workable, and surprisingly affordable solution. My husband and I just called to schedule another job, and we're definitely going to use them for the repiping we have to do soon. Don't delay, folks -- this company rocks.

My dishwasher wasn't draining. I called a plumber, not knowing better. As soon as the man from O'Neill arrived, he told me these things usually aren't plumbing problems, but appliance problems. This is something he could have mentioned over the phone. He filled our sink with water to see if it drained. It did, so it wasn't a plumbing problem. This is also something he could have mentioned over the phone.

For this, he charged me $114, and I still had to call an appliance guy (the excellent Mark Wiseman -- yelp.com/biz/urUI1DpUmaX…). Sure, it's not their job to turn away business, but if they had tried being helpful in the first place, I would have called them when I actually needed a plumber. Instead, they get one star.

We had some very strange, not up to code, leftover handyman special plumbing issues. For example: our dryer vented into the basement with a plastic bag over the end. Maybe so the fumes didn't kill us all at once? I dunno- It was strange. Also, the previous owner had dug a hole in the basement with a small pump, plugged into a light bulb whenever it rained. They must of pumped out the water that came up this hole and carried buckets of water outside as they filled them up.

These solutions didn't jive with our values of breathing non-toxic air and spending our time on more interesting things than keeping our basement from flooding.

So O'neill Plumbing improved all our plumbing problems and brought them as close to code as they could. They worked with us for the best solutions and gave special attention to place the pipes as inconspicuously as possible.

They lost a star because they made a mess when they had to dig the hole for the sump pump. They tired to clean it up but they ended up smearing mud all over the basement and I am still cleaning it up.

Rescheduled the first appointment to come out for a quote. The second time the guy actually called fifteen minutes before he was scheduled to be here, stated that we didn't really need a quote for a small job (apparently replacing several yards of pipe, replacing all the kitchen plumbing, and adding a refrigerator pipe, and replacing a shower fixture is too small for them). But if we REALLY wanted the guy to drive ALL THE WAY from West Seattle, it might take a while.

Considering that we were already taking time off work at that point, we said forget it rather than give our business to someone who couldn't even show up when scheduled. Too bad, though, because our old house is going to need a lot of plumbing in the future.

Fast, efficient. Quoted me for a 4 hour job but got done in 2 hours.  It came in less than what I expected. Their rates are good.  I got a quote from another competitor and O'neill's was significantly less, plus he did great service.

I had to score a 3 because they couldn't get to my job right away due to the availability of resources (skills needed to do the job). We had to wait a couple of days so my renters were inconvenienced.  Overall, I will always call them from now on.

We had a broken water main outside the house, and the O'Neill team did an excellent job repairing it! They were efficient, careful, and really knew what they were doing. They even saved some plants for us by moving them rather than just throwing them out. Thumbs up!

Absolutely stellar!  I have a vintage 1925 house with lots of vintage plumbing, including a laundry faucet that fell apart in my hands while I was turning off the water.  Excellent telephone customer service, appointment scheduling, assistance for dealing with the problem in the meantime, price quotes for service rates.  Service person was wonderful, on time, actually liked cranky old house plumbing issues, fixed my problem, gave advice for possible future issues, and billed an extremely reasonable amount.

We called O'Neill for a second opinion when another plumber indicated that repairing our main sewer line to the street would require about $17,000 of excavation and pipe replacement because the line had been invaded by roots. This was supported by a video of the line. I grew up in West Seattle, and O'Neills had been a staple there since the early 1900s.

They sent a young man and young woman who asked to do another video to do their own analysis. As it turned out, the original video was not even of our line, but evidently one that was copied from another much worse situation. They cleaned the line and gave us a treatment to use periodically and we never had a problem with it again. They saved us enough money for a nice Caribbean cruise, and then some.

O'Neill's provides fast, accurate diagnoses.

Yesterday, I noticed the start of a plumbing problem.  This morning, I called O'Neill Plumbing.  Tyler came out and found the problem -- the discharge pipe from the sump pump had broken.  Tyler would have been able to fix it (by replacing the pipe with an identical part), except that the original installer made a mistake.  (The broken piece was glued into the pump.)

Tyler's diagnosis was clear.  At noon, I called the builder and explained the problem.  The builder understood immediately, and worked with the original installer to fix the problem the same afternoon.

So my plumbing problem was fixed, before my wife had a chance to get home from work.  I had no warranty hassles, and I am a happy customer.

I am so happy.

18 months ago I moved to Burien. I called this plumbing company to clean a clogged drain and cap a water line. The price was outrageous and the work did not last. When I asked about my toilets, they told me they were old and OEM parts impossible to find and they could replace my toilets for $700 each. The drain is plugged up again after a year.

What a contrast with John Keigley of O'Neill. He quickly opened the drain and I think it will stay unclogged this time. He had no hesitation replacing the plumbing in our toilets. He had to make a second trip in order to use the OEM parts.

O'Neill was recommended by a neighbor. I will call them next time I have a plumbing issue.

O'Neill Plumbing is one of the best companies I have worked with in years. I had a toilet tank which kept partially emptying. It took a couple of visits, as the problem was not a normal problem. The plumbers arrived on time, were very efficient and made sure the toilet was left in the same condition as prior to there visit. Steve fixed the problem on his second visit.
Brita in the office was so kind, helpful and organized. The communications from all parties was great. I will definitely use O'Neill Plumbing again. I highly recommend them.

Big time thanks to O'Neill Plumbing.  My wife and I live in the neighborhood, and Tim O'Neill and Kevin were extremely helpful to fit me into their busy schedule.  I had a side sewer issue that required a challenging fix, and the technicians Mike and Monty were the consummate professionals.  They busted their tails to fix the pipe connection and were quite cheerful the whole time.  Not to mention the biggest plus was that the work was extremely reasonably priced, and as consequence O'Neill Plumbing now has a customer for life.

These guys are the.... wait for it... WORST.  O Neill's in West Seattle was called out to a rental property of mine about 1 year ago to investigate an issue with the water heater.  I actually don't have that big of an problem with their availability, although their price was pretty high but neither are really my complaints.  I went with a different company to replace the water heater but again that was because of price and compatibility with me :).

The reason I'm writing this review more than a year later has to do with their shady business practices.  I had a nagging feeling to check my credit report for the past 6 months, when I finally got around to doing it I was the lucky recipient of a delinquent bill due to these jerks, ruining very good credit.  Here's where the story get's great, they made zero attempts to contact me and just one contact to the tenant.  Then sent the bill to collections (in both of our names) who then made zero attempts to contact me and zero attempts to contact the tenant.   The worst part, when I called them to resolve the issue they gave what can only be described as a 'I don't give a crap' attitude towards ruining my credit.

Stay away from these jokers there are many many more honest (which is most important thing) plumbing companies out there.

If this review keeps just one person from using this company I will be a happy man.

Woke up to a leaking water heater. Monday morning so not the easiest time to get help quickly. Owner Tim O'Neill could not have been more understanding or helpful. A few hours later everything is taken care of (including some other overdue inexpensive repairs). Ben and his assistant Mike were super efficient. We've used this company before and will continue to do so. Glad to have them close by in West Seattle!

Just a quick nod of appreciation to John from O'Neill, who showed up this morning on time and corrected some previously shoddy work on an upstairs toilet that had been leaking (thanks to the cheap-o home flippers).  He was very professional and courteous and worked quickly, diagnosing the problem, fixing it, and getting back on his way.  I had actually thought to try to repair the issue myself, but started to count the hours it might take me to try to remove a toilet a toilet and re-secure it - that effort alone would probably have taken days; John accomplished that part of the job in minutes.

BTW I used O'Neill after having called Quality Plumbing, but the numb nut at Quality told me that she didn't think we'd be a good fit (she actually said that) because she was flummoxed trying to spell my first name (hint: it's been around since before the middle ages).

Randy came out to give us a bid for a bathroom remodel and said he would send it to me the next day. It never arrived. Enough said.

***UPDATE***

Randy ready my YELP review and emailed me to apologize for not submitting the bid when he said he would. So that was cool.

Got the bid! $5000 to plumb a tiny 3/4 bathroom. OUCH! Keep in mind that's just the labor, basic materials and permit. (Not the sink, toilet, shower head etc.) I've decided to do it myself. Keep in mind my review is based on price only and I have a very good knowledge of plumbing. I am not speaking to the quality of their work either way.

Two thumbs up! Great work, reasonable prices, courteous, trustworthy. We always call O'Neill when we have a plumbing issue and they never disappoint. Recently, we had them install all new plumbing, so we thought we might not need them too much in the future. Still, a recent broken pipe caused by cold weather had us calling them again. They didn't get every piece of this job fixed right the first time, so they came back out and made everything right without charging for the second visit. I love these guys because I know I can trust them to do it right or make it right, and to charge me reasonable prices in the process. Gabe did a great job for us! Thanks so much!

I would give no stars but last year they installed a toilet without any problem (though expensive). This year though... even one star might be too many! Called to help with a leak from the washer in the garage. 3 plumbers and $750 later... they did not fix the problem and still are not sure what the problem is. In order to rule out one thing they will suggest an alternative that would cost $4,000 ... um. I strongly recommend anyone dealing with this outfit to know yourself what is wrong because they clearly are not able to diagnose. After 20 minutes of standing with a hose pouring water into the drain (to a drain field) they said that wasn't it but just in case... we can install this huge pipe outside the house to be sure. A month later, same problem. All I got was a shake of the head and an alternative to circumvent the issue (but not ruling out that it could be the washing machine) and that might not even resolve the issue. This was a recommendation on Angie's List too so Yelp is not only free but I wish I looked here instead. After sharing my story with two other West Seattle homeowners... same kind of feeling towards them that I now have ;-( wish it wasn't so.
UPDATE. When I posted a negative review on ANGIES LIST the owner of O'neill came to my house to deliver a refund! The solution was obvious to a different plumber. It was actually a simple, and inexpensive fix.

I used them for my Bellevue condo.  If you're willing to pay lots of money, they're top service.  They charged me $170/hour (discounted) and way too high of prices for parts.  They'll over charge you for everything, for instance, $40 for a flapper & float which are half that elsewhere.  They'll even charge you for their fuel!

Just to fix a toilet leak, just parts replacement, no welding or replacing the toilet itself, was close to $1100!  When I complained about the high price to their customer service, they discounted me $30!  Oh wow!

If you're Bill Gates, go ahead and use them, but I won't.  Overall, good service but rediculously high prices.

Had a serious plumbing problem when our macerating sewage lift pump went out on a Saturday morning. I know from experience that this is not something that is easy to find the replacement pump for, and the control system is complicated and I have had plumbers actually do more harm than good when trying to work on this system.  I decided to call O'neil and they were VERY helpful. I actually found a pump and drove 3 hours to pick it up, Steve came out Sunday morning, arrived exactly when he said he would, took less time than estimated, and was very knowledgeable and friendly.  I will call O'neil first every time from now on!!

Our kitchen drain was plugged, and I didn't have enough time to
try to snake it myself, so I looked for a plumber.  Twenty minutes of feverish searching through reviews turned up quite a few for O'Neill that looked real, so I gave them a call.  I called at 7:00, they said they'd be out at 8, got there only 15 minutes late, and fixed the sink quickly.  Fine.  But the guy noticed that the sink was hardly getting any hot water, and gave a couple of options for fixing it: either fix it right, or do something quick and dirty.  Quick and dirty sounded good to me, so he opened the hot water faucet in the bathtub, then pumped water from the sink's cold faucet into its hot one (or something like that), and
it worked!  So bonus points for noticing the problem I didn't mention, and coming up with a way to fix it without spending umpteen dollars.

The only downside was the price: $207 to fix two relatively easy problems.  But hey, they were prompt, pleasant, and got the job done.  The house is functioning again.  Plumbing Repair Man, how can we ever repay you?  :-)

Footnote: turns out this is the company my grandma always called, too.

O'Neill Plumbing is amazing. I called up yesterday around lunchtime after finding out from my dog walker that our toilet hose has sprung a leak and was spraying all over the bathroom (lucky us that he had the foresight to turn the water off).

I was lucky enough that O'Neill had a plumber in the area who was finishing up a job and he got to the house in 30min. A quick evaluation and he knew exactly what to fix and was done in 15-20 minutes.

On top of that he gave me some great advice for future plumbing upgrades and on top of that it all cost less than an arm & a leg.

Will definitely be calling O'Neill back when we want to do more plumbing work.

I needed help with a side sewer line but i wanted to do the excavation work myself (I'm not in the market for paying $90+/hr for ditch-digging).  I called around but the few plumbers i reached who did side-sewer work all insisted on quoting me a price of the whole job.  In stark contrast, the staff at O'Neill gave me explicit instructions on what to do to prep the pipe and were happy to come in and complete only the most specialized work i needed help with.  I really could not have been more pleased with the outcome.

I can't say enough good things about this company!  I got several bids to have my house re-piped. O'neill came out about in the middle price-wise but I felt really comfortable from the start working with these guys.
They worked with me to ensure I understood all of the process and what they were going to do.  They were clean and efficient. and did an amazing job. As with most mechanical systems, there were some equipment issues but nothing due to the craftsmanship of Ken and Steve.  They made sure everything was correct.

I am TOTALLY happy with the job and the price. They have restored my faith in contractors.  Many thanks guys!

The kitchen faucet sprayer O'Neill installed at our house a year or two ago broke this week. The part has a lifetime warranty, and I knew how to replace it, so all I needed was the part. O'Neill had it in stock and I made plans to pick it up, but then the owner of the company (which is headquartered not far from our house) called and offered to drop it off in our mailbox so we wouldn't have to re-arrange our schedules to get there during working hours. This aligns with my previous experiences with O'Neill: helpful, honest, and a good value. If you need a plumber in the Seattle area, I recommend O'Neill.

I hired O'Neill plumbing to renovate my basement bathroom. They removed a section of concrete from the basement floor in order to install a sewer shut off valve in the floor.  A few weeks ago my basement was flooded because they had not replaced the concrete around the pipe and water percolated up and around the pipe and flooded my basement.  The lid on the sewer shut off valve was concreted to the pipe, so I could not remove it to drain the water.  I rushed out to buy a pump to drain the water into the shower drain.  O'Neill came out and chipped the concrete off the lid, and said that one of their managers would be back out to take a look at things.  He left the lid off the sewer shut off valve to prevent my basement from further flooding.  Instead of a manager visiting the site, I received a bill for $201.48, which was for the technician chipping off the concrete that should have been removed when the valve was installed.  I sent a letter requesting that the owner contact me about the situation in my basement, but instead received a phone call from the manager who was supposed to come out to look at the shut off valve.  Thirteen days after the technician was at my house I received another bill with late fees added in.  I asked another company about the exposed pipe in the ground and they said that hydraulic cement needs to be poured around the pipe next year after the rains have subsided.  He said that now that water has found this path it will continue to percolate in this area and I may have trouble getting the concrete to set properly while the ground is saturated.

So I am left with possible sewer gases in my basement and a bill for their services. I will not use this company again.

This company was recommended to me and I had read good reviews about them in the past.  I had sewer smells coming out of the bedroom closet that shares a wall with the bathroom.  I needed a plumber to help me locate the cause of the smell and solve the problem.  The O'neill plumber did a visual observation of what sewer pipes were already exposed and looked in the drain to be sure there was water sitting in them to block sewer gas.  Then he told me there was nothing more he could do and suggested I chalk the bedroom closet to keep the smell out.  I was then handed a bill for $120.  He basically told me that if he did any further investigation by inspecting pipe s in the wall it would cost me a lot, a camera inspection would not reveal the problem, and no plumber would get on the roof to inspect the sewer gas pipe. The closet is chalked and now the sewer smell just stays in the bathroom,  I start taking parts of the wall apart myself to try to find the problem.  Now I'm searching for a plumber who will take the initiative to actually pinpoint and fix the problem.

Cevin Farnsworth and his guys from O'Neill Plumbing did a great job on our water supply line.   They charged the price they quoted (which was in line with my online research and the couple other quotes I got).   Just as impressive, they even returned my calls and showed up to do the job!!  Much better than the unreturned phone calls and no-shows I kept encountering in my quest to find a plumber.  When the cement dried cracked, they came back and redid it, no problem and no extra cost.  Its been a few months now and so far so good.  I would definitely recommend Cevin and his guys for a prompt, professional job well done!

O'Neil replaced a 100 year old common side sewer I share with my neighbor. What a big job. They did a great job and when they had a major equipment failure, it didn't affect performance or completion. Tim O'Neil was the first face on the job and the last one when it was done. So just moved into a new rental and this is the 2nd time in two months that the toilet has backed up. I called Fox the first time and they got the toilet fixed. Fox said it was just temporary and wanted to sell me a 500$ toilet and that the plumbing needed to be snaked out to the road. Did I say this was a rental! I just had Ken from O'neill come and at least get the toilet going again. He said the way the toilet was acting that he recommended getting a new toilet from say Home Depot(130$) and giving that a try. Ken also said that he would call and talk to my landlord because this was a mechnical issue not a backup issue. Last but not least  O'neill was 10 $ cheaper then Fox.

Contacted O'Neill via their website last evening to request service for stopped up sink drain and replacement of trap which was leaking. Said they'd call that evening but didn't. Waited until 8:30am this morning, contacted them again via website - they called back in just a few minutes but would have to wait for service until mid afternoon 2-4pm.
Not long after another call that a plumber was on his way having just completed a job.
Started work at 9:40am and was done 1 hr later. After repositioning disposer, rebuilding the disposer-to-trap & sink-to-trap and connecting to the main drain we now have a self-serviceable assembly and parts bill less than $50.00. Total bill was less than $235.00 which was  less that another company had charged just for rooting the main drain line. We are very happy with their service, their rebuild of the trap assembly, and with their very competitive price. Just wish we'd known about their Website coupon offer, but, still very happy. They'll be the first we call (if there is a next time).

I am surprised they dont have more reviews.  They got recommended to me by 3 people after I had a lousy experience with Southwest plumbing - Big mistake!!  The job was done well and fast, it was not too expensive, and he talked me out of a lot of work I thought needed to be done.  I had two different plumbers tell me my water heater was about to explode.  Peter told me we needed to start thinking about replacing it, but we had a year or two before it needed to be done.  Thanks for being honest guys!!!  Really appreciated.

I called O'Neill hoping they could come over that same day.  Luckily they could and it was really beneficial to me, to get the job rolling and done without having to wait forever for someone to show up.  My job was basically installing a new kitchen drain pipe outside and connect to the sewer main line.  Even though I did most of the grunt digging work before I called, the technician, Tyler took the ball and ran with it.  He was great.  He finished up almost exactly in the time he estimated.  The bill was time and materials...very fair, and the work performed was very professional and first rate.   He said that company treated him like gold and that they treat their customers that way too. a pretty simple concept.  Unlike the freakin' people and Southwest Plumbing who spend a fortune on advertising...and pass the EXORBITANT costs along to you...O'Neill Plumbing is family run ( since 1917) and true professionals.  I would call them again in a New York minute if I needed any Plumbing work.  Way to go!!
