We needed to fix an electrical issue at our house. Our regular electrician had retired, but he referred us to Linder Electric. Matt came out and investigated, and he and I discovered a number of wiring issues where previous work in this old house had not been done correctly. He corrected it all, including running new lines from the breaker box, through the garage, through the crawlspace, into the lower floor, and up into the upper floor. He was careful, thorough, and focused on making sure everything was done correctly and well. He had to make a few holes in walls and ceilings, but he thought ahead to minimize the work of the handyman who would follow and fix everything. Plus, Matt is just a very nice guy.

When it was done, the city inspector came out to give permits, and he was very impressed with the quality of Matt's work. That was very encouraging to hear!

I will continue to use Linder for any electrical work that may come up in the future.

I contacted Linder to replace my home electrical panel so that I could add two EV plugs in my garage and prepare for a heat pump and heat pump water heater that would soon follow the project.

The bulk of the install process was great and professional. The project hit a snag at the very end when I noticed that the second EV plug was 120 instead of 240. I was told that the panel that was selected wouldn't work with a second EV plug or with the the heat pump devices that were going to come next. That was a shock!

I had wondered about this before we started the project. I asked if a higher-amperage panel was required. I was told that's a big deal and will cost you $20k. There was never a statement that the panel we were going with wasn't going to cover the stated project goals.

After the project, I called PSE to get a better understanding of the service they offer to my home. They told me I had been given bad advice and that they could deliver whatever amperage I needed without trouble. The new panel that was installed was 125 amp. PSE told me that they guarantee 200 amps to the home, per WA law. They also said that I ALREADY had 200 amp to my home, so clearly no requirement to pay $20k to get it.

I reached back out to Linder with the new information. I proposed installing a higher amperage panel and that I'd pay the bulk of the cost but wanted some discount because I didn't feel like this poor outcome was entirely my fault. They told me that they don't do work for free, even though I wasn't asking for that. They told me go to talk to Bel-Red Electric if I wanted the issue fixed. That was another shock. I thought that the relationship had gone pretty smoothly up until that point. I guess they had booked a good profit on my project and didn't want to give that up.

In any case, I think it is good advice to go talk to Bel-Red electric. I will go do that and explain that I need help in right-sizing my new panel for my project goals.

In summary, I have no reason to question the quality of the work at Linder. The install looked super clean and was done quickly. A friend had recommended Linder. He is super handy and would have never got into this problem. He would have calculated his amperage requirements before even calling an electrical company. I don't know much about electrical and was expecting guidance from Linder on how to proceed per my stated project goals. In fact, I asked them about this later. They told me that I negotiated too hard on price and so a 125 amp panel was the only option at that price. That's a really strange way to do business. The panel upgrade cost $7k. Is that a lot for a 125 amp panel?

So, if you need help navigating your project and are not too familiar with electrical, you might look elsewhere or end up with the same outcome as I did. I'm just a regular home owner like a lot of people.

Outstanding work finished up with a cleaned area. I had five electrical outlets installed all five definitely needed an electrician that knew what he was doing. Great work! Extremely happy!

I needed a charging port installed for my car.  I called several places.  Some never got back to me, some wanted to charge for coming to make an estimate (and wouldn't credit that toward the work), one gave a rough estimate based on pictures I'd sent and said that the final charge would depend, and one just ghosted me.

Linder sent BJ out and he was great.  He showed up on time, gave an accurate estimate, came back to do the work on the day promised and did a great job.  He was efficient and very personable.

The city inspection of his work went without a hitch and the inspector seemed impressed with the quality.  I'd call them back for future work in a heartbeat.

Need an electrician who goes the extra mile? Look no further! Call Matt from Linder Electric.
It is rare, especially on the plateau, to find an electrical contractor who will go above and beyond.

Matt brings years of experience as an electrical contractor and backs it up with a high degree of integrity and a commitment to safety. We used Matt to correct some electrical issues that surfaced in a home inspection and he fixed everything on the checklist - from installing new GFCIs to more complicated issues. What's more! He delivered on a very tight schedule.

We used Linder Electric through our kitchen remodel with the Home Depot. The work was expensive, but apparently did not include enough work for us to pass the electrical inspection at the end because the job was not finished. We were told it was finished but failed an electrical inspection, which is not what we expected after paying about $2,300 for them to move a couple of outlets. In the end, my husband had to finish the job because they never called us back.

I had an issue with a hallway dimmer switch, had a handy man take a couple shots, couldn't fix it.  Finally called Linder, BJ fixed in a little more than an hour.  Great guy, great work!

I would not do business with these guys. Several of their installed GFCI burnt out on a house we just purchased. They came to take a look at it and blamed it on other contractors. They went ahead and replaced them all without giving any quote or estimate. They were there for about 45 mins. Later sent me a bill for $500 which I had perceived to be warranty related work. If it was not, they should have been upfront and provided a quote so I could decide I want to work with a company who does work that fails so quickly. I would not be surprised if I find more issues with their work.

When we had an unexpected urgent electrical situation arise, BJ from Linder Electric found a way, to come examine the situation, identify  what the issues were & fix it ---- even though it was his day off!!!
BJ did excellent work and is a good communicator, keeping me informed throughout the process. He is very knowledgable & cost effective. I feel confident in BJ's work, and appreciate his & Linder Electric's integrity.

I rarely write negative reviews and am saddened since the profile offered such promise in past client experiences; not to mention I used them years back and it was a great experience.  As a contractor, I had both Corey & BJ at two different jobsites w/in 3 weeks of each other - one for a whole first floor, the other for large master bathroom.  Both were initially very responsive and made accommodations to come onsite.  THEN NEVER returned a bid.  Multiple promises on when one could expect a proposal and no follow through.

I understand people get busy, bids get delayed ( I'm in the trade!) but 7 weeks no answers, no bids, then ignoring phone calls and kind text prompts for update.  Forget it, if they want to turn down what has now been signed work with another company totaling $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 in business guess they are too good to work on my honest residential projects.

Don't call if you are needing a job right now, let alone if you are 3 months out.

I recently had an electrical problem that I was attempting to troubleshoot myself.  The people at Linder electric are very professional and courteous and treated me like their most important customer.  They provided guidance and assistance and treated me with respect.  They genuinely seemed to appreciate that I had called them.  More important, my problem got solved very quickly.  I would recommend them as an electrical contractor to anyone and would not consider anyone else if and when I need major electrical work done.

Great people!  Had a very complicated problem and our electrician, Rob, was patient in troubleshooting everything, all the way to a malfunction before the meter.  We've already called Rob again for another property. He was awesome.

I had an issue with a tripped GFI, but wasn't able to locate it. I called Linder, and within 30 minutes got a call back from Matt - who was busy. After I told him the issue, he walked me through what I needed to do on the phone - without coming out here. And it worked! Huge time saver, and truly got me back up and running with my electricity issue. Thx, Matt!

I did not select this company as it was selected by our property management company. I called them with an urgent issue and they had an electrician contact me within 20 minutes and was out to the house within the hour. Joe, the electrician, was wonderful. Couldn't ask for anything more. There was a somewhat complicated electrical issue that took quite a bit of troubleshooting. He attacked it as a challenge with a great attitude.

All in all this was a great experience. I highly recommend them.

Super honest guys. AC company quoted me $900 to $1100. But when they arrived and looked around, they said I can save money in half by running the line from the old water tank I had. Some company would just do what AC company suggested and charge me around $1000. I am super satisfied with Linder electric.

We purchased a new fireplace from Kirkland fireplace which necessitated electrical work. Linder was the subcontractor to Kirkland fireplace. It took 3 phone calls over a 5 day period to get someone to return call. They sent out a service tech named Matt and he seemed to take way longer than was necessary. Our contractor in general remodeling commented on how slow he was. Thirty days after they left we received the  bill which was quite high. I asked owner for an audit of the bill. Instead he had Matt call who proceeded to be argumentative and condescending. Needless to say I never did receive a call from his supervisor, nor will I ever have anything to do with this company again.

Needed some help with my RV power cable and stopped in to see if Lindner could help me out. Not only did they help me out, but they did the repair on the spot while I waited and didn't even charge me for it. Great local hometown service, above and beyond.

BJ came out on the same day that I called. He fixed the breaker which restored heat to our chilly home! I am so grateful for the quick response, excellent professional service and getting to learn a little bit about how my fuse box works. I definitely recommend BJ with Linder Electric! We are toasty warm on a cold rainy night. Thanks BJ!

Installed wiring for a new heat pump. They charged me a fixed price ($700) even though the work was easier than usual due to the house layout. Not really happy about that, but the work was good.

Linder installed a generator transfer switch at my home. Jim Linder came out and did the quote. Very knowledgeable. Had some good ideas. Put together a good quote.

The guy doing the actual install was less impressive. Did not really clean up. My panel had six bolts holding the cover when he came and only four when he left (although I did find one on the floor later).

Pretty good about returning phone calls and emails. Came on time on the right day.

In the end I got a working system for a reasonable price.

The Linder technician BJ installed a new outlet to prep for mounting our TV over the fireplace.  He was fast and the outlet looks great.  He also provided information regarding how to measure and size a new TV in the future, and how to determine whether the new outlet would be covered.  We also talked about the new LCD lights, and he had a great tip to get more light out of the can lighting system in my family room.  He offered to check out any other lighting 'projects' for me, and made sure I had his card if I needed to contact him at any time in the future.  He did a great job!

Really happy with Linder Electric. I blew out a circuit and messed up a light fixture with some DIY work.  They were able to come out the same day and fix everything.  As an added bonus, the guy walked me through what I had done wrong so I'd known  how to do it right next time.

BJ at Linder was awesome!   Got a call back right away, got an appt the next morning and he showed on time!   I gave him many items on my list and he was knowledgeable and worked efficiently. That's a big deal when you're paying by the clock. Thanks BJ and Linder. I'll be back!!

We had BJ out to the house from Linder Electric to look into some issues that came out of a power outage. He found the problem right away.  We also had him inspect our generator plug which turned out to be very unsafe and he alerted us to that.  Also quite important was the fact that he showed up promptly when he said he was going to, got right to work, and completed the job as quickly as he could safely manage.  I would recommend Linder for someone looking for a trusty and experienced electrician.

Had these guys out yesterday to install a new panel and upgrade my house's service from 100 to 200 amps. They got the work done smoothly and efficiently, and cleaned up all of the dust, etc, left behind by cutting the wall for the bigger panel. But the thing that makes me rate them five stars: after all the wiring was hooked up to the new panel, Matt went through the house to test appliances and outlets and make sure everything was working correctly... and found some outlets that had been wired wrong by a previous electrician, with a missing neutral connection. He tested and inspected them until he found the outlet where the problem started, and fixed the wiring so the outlets were fully functional again. No extra charge! Glad I got these guys, and I'll totally be calling them up the next time i need electrical work done.

Seriously?!  Whoever the guy was who contacted me and came out to the house is an idiot!  He was very unprofessional on the phone when I first spoke with him.  Told me to text him my address and then he may be able to come out the next morning but not sure because it was going to rain and traffic could be a mess so don't know.  I asked him to call me to let me know when he'd be out.  He called me at 3:03 to tell me that his GPS said he'd be there at 3:14.  I told him I wasn't home and wouldn't be home till 3:30 at the earliest (I had to pick my daughter up from school).  He hung up on me.  I get home at 3:30 and he is sitting in his van waiting for me.  We had all our x-mas lights go out and we couldn't figure out why.  He said it was because of the rain, everything was wet.  He walked around the exterior of my house half a dozen times.  Would say what you should do or if I were you but then not finish his statement.  The problem needed up being one bad string of xmas lights that would set off the GFI (or whatever).  After 25 min of him walking in circles and plugging and unplugging the same cord and then telling me something completely different that what he was doing, I finally got him to let me pay and he could leave.  He then charged me for an hour of work which I found ridiculous.  He gave me a 10 min notice and then sat and waited for me to get home for 15 min.  I had to pay for the extra 1/2 hour because he waited for me.  To piss me off more, he wouldn't stop talking and my daughter missed her gymnastics class because of it.  I will never use these guys again and will never recommend them.
