I made an appointment with Gary Fox Plumb ling to come in to work on the floor drain in my family restaurant. The two good looking men that came over show up about half an hour late, but not a big deal since we are not open yet. After a few minute of looking around checking the pipe and its connections, one of the men informed me that they are going to snake the drain and it would cost me $286.00 plus taxes.

this is by far the most expensive snake job we ever done in our restaurant and we have been open for twenty three years. The reason I let them do it? because we only have an hour before we're open and if we call a different plumb ling company I am not sure when are they going to come in since it was on a Saturday. On top of that most plumb ling company will charge you when they come out around $80- $100 even if you not going to have them work on your job. My job is to get my business open up and running as soon as possible. that's my only reason to let them do the job. The snake job only take them about twenty minutes top. They got my pipe clean with no drainage problems.

GFP is a great company, the staffs are very informative, friendly and prompt, but with price tag, I probably won't be using their service again.

They showed up 4 days early and called me ahead of time to see if they could come over right away since another job they were on went quicker than expected.  That was very helpful so the very next day they were able to come out and help me with my faucet replacement. Now Lowe's offers 169 dollar installation however I'm not sure how great that service would be.  Casey and his partner on the job rushed out to get this done. They yelled at each other a bit while working and I politely asked them not to scratch the flooring, but they got the job done. It took a little extra time and they sure charged me for it. 412 bucks to install a faucet.  Apparently mine was frozen and a bolt had to be cut to accomplish this process. I'm just glad it got done and the work is guaranteed. The reason for 3 stars is because price seemed kinda high.

I have worked with this company twice over the past month due to the fact that we are moving out of our house and needed some items to get fixed. Both times they have been great.  They accommodated our plumbing needs and were very professional and courteous.  They also showed up to give an estimate AND do the work on the same exact day which was great.  I recommend them to anyone in the area.

If I could give a negative number of stars I would.  I needed a pressure relief pipe attached from my water heater to the wall and had a leaky faucet.  They were there for a total of 45 minutes, installed 2 feet of pipe and replace O rings in the faucet...  They charged me $492.00!!!!  DO NOT CALL THEM!!!!  I have no idea how they think that 45 minutes of work and less than $20 of parts constitutes $492 but maybe I should go back to school and go into plumbing if this is the hourly rate!!!!

$684 to snake my main line and reset my toilet. Extremely expensive. Will not be using them ever again. Also, made sure they let me know they didn't garuntee the work as my house is older. $475 to snake my main line. $150 to reset my toilet. And I thought $300 was a lot last time...

The water pressure at our house had slowed down dramatically over the weekend.  My husband tried to fix it thinking it was just a leak but it wasn't.  We contacted City of Kent & they had someone checked it out .  It was determined that the pressure reducing valve (PRV) needs to be replaced.  We don't know of any plumbers in the area so I went online & found Gary's fix it in Kent.  I took a chance & contacted them.  I was originally quoted over the phone $575 but it would cost more if they require some digging.  They did an awesome job!  They had to dig 3 ft down to fix the problem & replace the PRV as well as some pipes.  They also modified the location of the PRV so it will be easier access next time.  My husband was impressed!  I will contact them again if there's I need another plumber.  O ya there's a warranty for it too!!

We use these guys for the homes we manage at Full Service Property Management.  They are responsible and reliable, and do good work.

Avoid these guys! Do your research and find a company worth your time and money because this company is not worth it. They charged me $200 for less than 30 minutes of their time. They gave me a quote of service I needed BUT didn't actually do anything. I have to say that they did arrive as scheduled which is great! Lesson learned-stay away!

In my dealings they were very honest.

Out of the four top-rated plumbers here on Yelp, only two returned my call, and only Gary Fox showed up when he was supposed to. The gentleman who showed up was extremely knowledgeable and went the extra mile. He put a camera down my sewage line, from the roof, at no charge.

Then, after taking a look at it, said that I should use Seattle Select to line my sewer - it would cost me half of what he could do it for. For that alone, they get three stars. Can't vouch for their work, but I'd definitely call them up for an estimate.

There is nothing like having plumbing problems when you're on vacation and the house sitter floods your  laundry room. Casey took care of everything quickly and will stand behind the work when I get home.

The folks installed a water heater for me last week.  Called 4 plumbers, these guys and Harold's plumbing were the only quotes over the phone.  They were prompt,  knew what they were doing and did a good job.  They cleaned up their mess afterward.  Fair price and product.   I'd use them again.  This is the same gary fox plumbing in kent just different address

I needed somebody to bid a job and he was so tolerant with my changing times to meet him . Prompt returning phone calls. Willing to accommodate my schedule with a positive and polite attitude. They really put the customers first. I hope I never need a plumber but if I do Gary fox in Kent will be the one I call.

If I could give NO stars, guess what these, ahem, plumbers would get?  I called because I had a leak somewhere between the water meter & my home.  Shutting off the water, and even digging out a square yard of my lawn for them, was a waste of MY TIME. The plumber shows up, and just starts digging, without using a leak detector, which my city said a REAL plumber has this equipment... I later find out I was being billed $392.01 for one hour and twenty minutes!!! I also had the city tell me, if anyone digs deeper than 12 inches, you need to call before you dig... Guess who didn't inform this homeowner or the proper utilities that he was digging two, almost three feet deep?! My DOCTOR doesn't charge THIS kind of money! STAY AWAY, ASK FOR AN HOURLY QUOTE, BUYER BEWARE!!!!
OH! And if you ask to speak to someone at the office - a manager, you will probably get the same double talk I got. Seriously, the guy talked to me twice, would NOT give me his name.

Technical knowledge very lacking. First tech recommended replacing entire valves and handles for a drip on some bathtub faucets, clearly the easiest but by no means frugal solution. In general he seemed very willing to offer unsubstantiated advice. He was prepared to cut into our kitchen floor to pull a dishwasher out to inspect a valve, another thing the 2nd tech overrode him on.
Brought a second tech with him the next day who was even less knowledgeable but at least recommended just replacing the cartridges on the bathtub faucets. All forgivable... after all, they were the one company that showed up the SAME day when I called.
What is hard to overlook, however, is that the tech no showed an appointment the 2nd visit (a day later). When called, apologized then came late. I can live with that in general but the relationship started leaving a real sour taste in my mouth that was seared in once the 2nd tech started asking multiple questions.... while I was in the middle of cooking dinner. The first tech agreed to bring different handle options but never did. The person I spoke to on the phone was nice as were the techs in general but I think I'll just avoid the headache next time.

The two guys that came out were nice enough. One was pretty condescending as I was attempting to do the shut off valve replacement myself and had purchased the wrong part. He made sure to let me know that. Anyhow, for 15-20min of changing two valves and screwing on two lines it cost me $350.00. Now granted $50.00 was the saturday cost but $300.00 for what they did was a little extreme. I'm definitely in the wrong business :)  Will be more careful choosing a company next time.

I called several local plumbers to get bids for the work I needed at my home. I called and spoke to Dennis from the Kent, Gary Fox Plumbing & Heating location. Over the phone he was very pleasant and professional. He agreed to a bid for the job. Yet when his plumber arrived the bid amount more than doubled. I was also given an expected amount of time the job would take and it was three times longer which made me late for work. I was shocked because over the phone I told Dennis that I found most plumbers to sound sleezy over the phone and I wanted them to do the work because he (seemed) straight forward and professional. I was concerned about someone trying to dupe me once they arrived. I called Dennis while the plumber stood in my kitchen. He reassured me over the phone that he would meet me in the middle because there was more work that he thought. Not really! He just wasn't adding in the cost of parts over the phone apparently so the price would seem lower, but added the additional cost once they arrived. We agree to the price in the middle and then the plumber argues with me that he can't do the work for the amount agreed upon. SO I had to call Dennis yet again! Then the plumber finally started working. He did 5 out of the 7 things I needed done, that we agreed on. His statement to me was that he couldn't do all the work we'd agreed on for the amount we agreed on. WHAT?!? I insisted he finish the main job and I'd call Dennis to clear up this situation. Dennis reassured me that he would personally come by the next day to finish the ONE last task which should have taken less than 20-30 minutes tops. SO then, when the plumber was leaving he said well I can only give you the price agreed if you pay me all in cash. I informed him that I wasn't prepared with cash as I made the arrangement to pay with my bank card. He said well I will need to follow you to the bank then if you want the price DENNIS agreed to. So off to the bank we drove. He then told me he would not give me a receipt because he needed to not charge tax in order to make the price work. I was again SHOCKED at their business ethics and demanded a copy of the receipt which after agruing infront of the bank he handed a copy over. So back to the remaining job that needed to be finished... I called the next day when Dennis had the nerve to no-show me. He claimed it was an oversight in his schedule and he apologized. He again reassured me that he would come the next Monday since it was a Friday he missed. I said that was fine and I appreciated him prioritizing finishing the job as agreed. Well, needless to say, he never showed up so I called him again. Which was followed up with another excuse. In the end - Dennis as someone who represents Gary Fox Plumbing management: misled me, allowed his plumber to try and rip me off with the work I paid for and then ripped me off himself by never finishing the complete job as agreed and paid for.

I am disgusted by their unethical business tactics of bait with a nice person to answer the phone, then switch and rip you off face to face.

BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE!

I have used this company 3 times now.  Twice at my residence and once at my place of business and I have always had a good experience.  This last one at my business I had the pleasure of meeting Dennis.  He had a plesant demeanor (something hard to find in this particular industry), communicated well and I felt that the cost was fair.  I am always a fan of businesses who are linked into their local Chamber but Gary Fox is top notch for reasons beyond that.  I'll definitely keep their number handy.

They showed up fast, got the job done quick.  They would have gotten 5 stars if they had given me an estimate before just doing the work.  I know it was under our building and all and probably hard to estimate but it would have been nice. Mostly because the job cost more than I would have liked but seemed with in reason for an emergency call. However after dealing with plumbers of all types over the years they deserve the 4 stars.

I have used these guys a number of time. They have always been great. Their prices are competitive and they seem to be honest and straight shooters. I had someone else recommend a $900 toilet.

I had a good experience with this firm.  I called to make arrangements for an estimate.  Dennis showed up on time, helped locate the leak, gave me a quick & reasonable estimate and went right to work. I'll call them again.

Don't waste your time with these jokers.  If there was a no stars option, I would give it to them.  They are shoddy and unprofessional.  They seem to be making some shady dealings as well.  BEWARE!!!

I work for a small business, and we have worked with Gary fox Plumbing in the past, they're work is fast and we haven't had any issues with the quality. The only complaint that I have is that the Russian gentleman that came in with his partner to do a quote for us, barely speaks English, and was in serious need of some deodorant.  I expect for a plumber's work clothes to not be in pristine condition as I am sure their job is messy, but his shirt was covered in stains and his hair was unkempt and greasy. As they are the face of the business I would expect them to put a little more effort into their appearance so that they are showing the customer that the company is professional and cares about the image that they are putting out to prospective customers.
