Fisher Plumbing provided the piece of mind that the problem that we were having wasn't our problem.   Had a kitchen sink backup issue and called them on a Monday morning.  Within the hour their technician showed up.  He went above and beyond in terms of professionalism and made sure that he cleaned up after himself.

I hope I will never need to resolve any more plumbing issues but if something does come up, I wouldn't hesitate to give them a call.

Our kitchen had drainage issue needed snake (I snaked once, my friend snaked again before I call them to snake this again).
Second time using them.  They fixed everything under 30 minutes.  Fast to respond and easy to schedule.  Since I am a returning customer and are planning to continue using them in the future.  They were able to give me a bit of price break for a drain call.
I prepped the kitchen before they arrive and just let them do their work.  Price did increase by 32% (after adjustment) compare to the last time I used them for same drain problem (maybe one and half year ago).  I was surprised by that, but credit that to inflation?

Fisher plumbing has been incredibly difficult to work with. Their office has been slow to respond or unresponsive, the guys on site have been rude and dismissive.
We just failed our final inspection because a HVAC inspection that Fisher was supposed to have ordered  not happen.
We are now having to delay moving in Because of this most recent screwup by Fisher.
I would actively discourage people from hiring them.

Jared Fletcher sent Brad Hodges to my house within an hour. He fixed a leak under the kitchen sink. I really appreciated the work that was done so quickly, I definitely recommend him. Excellent job!! Next time I will call again.

Called them to get a bid to line my side sewer.  They told me they were going to charge me $100 for the proposal, plus the hourly rate for the plumber, and an additional charge for the camera scoping of the pipe.  The total charge would have been about $400 for them to bid my $13,000 project.

Bob Oates, Jafco, and others gave me an estimate at no charge, like a good company would.

Fischer wanted me to pay their business development/marketing costs, and lost a potential long-term customer for good as a result.

I scheduled fischer hvac to come out and move a gas line, a duct, and install a new duct. The technician showed up, spent about 2 hours walking around my kitchen, reading technical manuals but did absolutely nothing. Now my other contractors have to be delayed because of this one person. This is the last time ibuse fischer.

At best poor accounting. At worst fraudulent invoicing. I am still waiting to hear back from their management after having called 3 times for an explanation to my invoice.

I had a plumber come out  to replace the sacrificial anode rod on my water heater. He was punctual and on time (even early) which was  surprising and very much appreciated. He explained to me that this is not something people normally do and went on his way. The entire interaction took less than 5 minutes.

Prior to scheduling the service, I was told that their rates were $100 for the first hour, then $50 for every 15 minutes after that.
The invoice I've just received is for $181.67 I've called 3 times now to get an explanation.
They've told me that the service person logged 20 minutes at my place.

Fortunately I have security cameras that confirm this is not true.  I am still waiting to hear back from their management after calling 3 times. I will update this review if anything is resolved.

I would like to share experience with Fisher plumber

1. They charged me 700 USD for 1 hour of replacing simple main valve in my town house (shared building with three other units).
2. Over the phone I was told charges will be 200 USD per hour. Little that I know what this will turn into. They stated it will not be more than 2h so I estimated max 400 USD
3. Valve was easily accessible. We prepare everything so they can only work on valve, nothing to move etc.
4. After work was done we got invoice:
          -  Service charge :           100  USD
          -  2 x hours labor            400  USD
          -  Parts                               144  USD  (overpriced)
          -  tax                                    66 USD

total:    710 USD

For 1h and 5 minutes of plumber labor.

I would never work with them ever again. It was such an easy job. Not to mention they have not provided me with any paper work and information that they have insurance. I was lucky for in case something were wrong I would have ended up with huge problems.

Please find receipts and pictures of what they have done attached

This company needs some schooling in customer service. They came out to my condo and couldn't fix the issue due to very limited space near the broken pipe. This drain pipe made my shower unusable. I wasn't there but they proceeded to gaze up at the pipe from the room below for what they say is two hours.

Then I call to get a bid and schedule the job saying they can go through the tile floor of my bathroom. That I'll get that repaired after they leave. Terry says he'll find a time to do the job and will call me. Never hear from him again (which is a reoccurring theme in these reviews). Still no use of the shower. Have to start over with another plumbing company. Flash forward and Fischer invoices for $500 when they delivered nothing. Do not get duped by this companies loose attention to billable time or two hour musing sessions.

We had a very nice tech come out this week and snaked our kitchen sink. The fix lasted less than 24 hours. When we called both the tech and the company we initially got no response on Friday and then when someone answered this morning (Saturday) we were told that there was no one to talk to until Monday. Meanwhile we can't use our kitchen and answering service didn't have information about company.

The guy that came out was friendly and professional. However, I can't believe what the final bill was! $604.00 for essentially 2 hours of drain cleaning and I guess a leak test. I was hoping he would look under the house to look for any leaks, but said that would be a different person. I don't think so - not at these prices. This is the price I pay for being lazy I guess. I had a perfectly good snake sitting in my garage. That's $300.00 an hour! A good aircraft mechanic makes 1/3 or less of that.

Update, final bill was actually 639. They added some cost in there somewhere after I agreed over the phone to the 604. I guess that is why they do things over the phone and not in writing.

It's a long review so to sum up points:
1.) 3 plumbers, to do the job the first should have done
2.) company does not care and takes advantage of customers in an emergency

Got my bill today from Fischer Plumbing and wow what a disappointment!!! I had 3 plumbers come out on three different days (one including a weekend Overtime rate) to fix the same problem!!! Yes the problem the first plumber should have addressed

To start the fix tech, Carl seemed the best (being used so lightly)!!! He should up on site to find a leak  that was causing extreme mold damage. To be fair he had to determine if it was the upstairs bathroom, the wall downstairs leading to the bathroom or in the crawl space. He determined that it was a dryer vent that had been disconnected and was causing steam to come up the wall... WRONG. Anyways he left without being 100% sure

Cue the next plumber Anthony who after Joe at Puroclean discovered a leak (hard to miss if you looked in crawl space) came back to address the issue. He fixed the leak and went upstairs to turn on the water. Once he turned on the water a new portion of the pipe leaked, but did he go in the crawl space and check his work.... NO!!!

Cue the third and in my opinion worst plumber Steve. Steve is smart and checks his work but his attitude was soo horrible!! I called the office Saturday as we could not continue to fix the house until the leak was addressed. Steve calls back and asked if it was actually an emergency (no crap buddy I am calling you about water gushing out of pipes). Steve shows up and grunts and complains the entire time he is here, I get bad days and all buddy (remember I am the one losing my walls to water). As he finishes he tells my husband this is a temp job and will not last (great company huh).

When my husband calls to see what a temp job means (I mean are they going to finish????) the office tells him no that was there fix.

Imagine my disgust when the bill comes and I am being charged for all three for all three employees when the first could have done the job!!!

I am a firm believer in let he business try to fix there error before posting a review but this business obviously doesn't care for its customer and I will never be recommending them as a plumber!!

Way to take advantage of your customers!

The connector from the wall to the toilet was old and sprung a leak at my renters condo.  I couldn't fix it myself because it was a condo and there is no water shutoff in the unit, so I called them and asked them to come out and turn off the water for the complex.  (Meanwhile organizing with my condo board to notify all tenants that the water was going to be shut off) They showed up and then proceeded to tell my renter that they can't turn off the water for the complex.  So, I had to drive out and when I got there they said they aren't officially supposed to do that but will do it anyways because they do it all the time.  Ironically, they didn't know where the water shutoff was so I had to help them find it.  Meanwhile one of the guys gets in trouble because he parked his truck in a tenants space where the signs clearly say to not do that.

1.5 hours later they are finally done.  Apparently, all the above was billable to me.  $430 bill for a task that would have taken me 15 minutes if I could have shut off the water.

I wanted to replace my water heater before it broke. Miquel came out and replace my 12 year old water heater with a new one. Excellent job. Everything was done very professionally and efficiently.  I will use them for other jobs from heating and other plumbing jobs. Their prices are great! Not cheap but not outrageous. Good people!

Don't. Just don't.
Called them about a shower valve.
Took a look. Said they would check. Left after less that 15 minutes.
Didn't hear back for 6 months.
Then received an invoice in the mail for $422.
WTF?

One of the worst contractors I've dealt with in any context. And before I dive in, please note that I've left excellent reviews for two other plumbing companies. But my condo's property management insisted that I had to use Fischer because of the nature of the job. (Long story.)

What you need to know:

1) Fischer not only did *not* complete the job at hand, they broke or completely destroyed parts of my bathroom.

2) My insurance company has had to intervene on my behalf. Fischer is currently in breach of contract. Fischer is arguing that it would take too long to both finish the job they were paid to do and to repair the damage they caused. Obviously, their argument is legally incorrect.

3) They destroyed a number of my blankets and towels without my permission.

4) They tracked filth all throughout my condo.

5) The plumbing division and the restoration division don't communicate effectively with each other and it compounds the length of time it takes all of them to complete even the simplest tasks.

6) When they first arrived, one of the plumbers was kind and polite. His co-worker was openly hostile and yelled at me, Why didn't you have your place inspected before you bought it? I replied, Of course I had it inspected. It *passed* inspection. Please stop yelling at me.

7) Under any circumstances, do not hire Fischer Plumbing.

Stay away! The worst service I have seen in the US.

I have to deal with Fischer plumbing due to a leak in my condo, coming from units above mine. I called them when the leak started, and because they had a team working on-site (in a pipe-replacement project for the building), they came within that day to take a look. Here is when all the issues started:

* They opened a hole in the ceiling and were not able to find anything. Without facts, they started theorizing that the leak probably was caused due to a problem (e.g., a flood) in the units above. They did try to access the units above (two of them) but could only access one. They left the hole covered by plastic in observation.

* They never came back, and the ceiling started leaking again. I called multiple times. They always transferred me to the manager (some guy named Terry) which never returned my voice messages. When I was finally able to get in touch with him, he only said that he will call me back to tell me when a plumber would come. He never did.

* Fischer returned the next morning without saying that they would come; hence, we could not coordinate access to the units above. They found a part that was old and suspicious and replaced that. Again, they left the hole covered in observation (they didn't even replace the plastic and re-used it to cover the ceiling).  They never came back.

* The ceiling started leaking again, so here I am trying to get them to come and coordinate access to the other units. The manager doesn't return my calls. I got a hold of him, he said that he would call back to tell me when they could to coordinate access to the other units, but he didn't do it. I got a hold of the plumber that did the repair (through the person coordinating the pipework in the building); he said he would call back, which he never did.

* I ended up looking for another company to do the work.

As you can see, this is not the kind of service that I would expect from a company that advertises on their site that they are among the best plumbing services in Washington if they are among the best, I can't even imagine the worst.

My advice, stay away; there must be a better company out there. If you don't have any other option but choose them, I wish you the best of luck.

We have a pretty dire problem, our 70 year old pipes are failing and my husband, who is extremely handy, dug up the yard looking for the pipe that connects to the city's sewer system.  We can't find it.  We've called a few plumbers, yesterday's plumbers, Steve's Plumbing, were extremely helpful but we wanted a 2nd quote.  What we got with Fischer Plumbing was a yeah, we can't help you, that will be $100. We weren't informed that there would be a fee just to come out (Steve's was up front about this) and I have no problem with a fee if a. we know there is a fee ahead of time and b. if they actually spend more than 5 minutes looking and listening and then stating they can't help. Oh but his helpful advice, perhaps hire someone that's really good with a witching stick, was just the cherry on top of a crappy situation.

* Overbilling: Taking sweet time while working at $200 an hour. Counted half an hour extra over 2 visits.
* Handwritten bill with no time in/out mentioned and no parts mentioned anywhere.
* Changing a seemingly 'old' cartridge took 2 visits. First visit just to open it and inspect the brand and put it back and second visit, after 2 months, to replace it with a new one and logged 45 minutes. Overall, the labor cost for this alone is ~300.
* I think not mentioning what parts they replaced helps again the next time - even if they replaced it, not keeping a record of what the part was is easily a good chuck of labor charge the next time to open/inspect/replace in another visit.
* Replaced the cartridge and lever is a good 5 degrees off center. Did not mention it until I stopped the service person at the door to ask; his response - I tried it 5 times; you can try if you want.

This company came to our condo to do a repair for another owner that required water shutoff to the whole complex.  They said it would take three hours, and it took more than 8 hours.  They left the site for hours to go to another job.  Go elsewhere for your plumbing needs!

I had a great experience! Had a clogged toilet needing to be snaked. Fischer was the only Plumbing company of ~6-7 called, who would give me an estimate via phone; visit charge + fee per 15/mins. I Hired Fischer over competitors (who operate via 1st sending a Plumber to your place to look at the clog, THEN give estimate onsite - this seems like a colossal waste of time).
Fischer accommodated a same-day apt. w/a 4 hr window. He arrived on the early end of window ~1:45 & the receptionist called me 30 minutes in prior to give 20 min. notice! My service person was professional & no-fuss. He fixed the toilet in under 15 mins. Would hire again.

We had a plugged washing machine drain that resulted in water pouring through our downstairs neighbor's ceiling light fixture.  Building manager recommended Fischer Plumbing.  They were GREAT!  Got here the next day, had to cut out some drywall to get to a pipe and replace it.  The next day a guy from their restoration department came out and replaced the drywall.  Today he finished mudding, taping and painting it.  The drywall job is great, you can't see any evidence of a problem.

All through this, from the receptionist to the two technicians, everyone was polite and thoroughly professional.  The two techs cleaned up their mess and the bathroom looks better than before.

I manage a small apartment complex. I wanted to write an official grievance to Fischer but my corporate HQ said no. Instead I will write an anonymous-(ish) review. For the past two years I have been about 50/50 satisfied with Fischer. Most of the time the plumbers come in, do their work, then leave the tenants feeling satisfied and happy. In the past year, they have been unprofessional, rude, and incompetent. A tech came for a job, attempted a fix, but the fix was subpar. I called and got the same plumber the next day. He made remarks regarding the tenant's 10 Mexican kids throwing toys and other crap down the toilet, which is why it's clogging. This was incredible, since I inspected his work on day 1, and the flushing power was a bit stronger but still weak - the flush was nowhere near normal. I also found it unbelievable the same toilet was clogged two days in a row. On top of that, his snake scratched the bottom of the toilet's coating, revealing bare metal underneath.

Last fall, a tech came and attempted work on a special tank I have that was leaking pressure. The tech failed to perform the repair properly, resulting in other minor problems. On top of that, he cracked the lid. I called the company asking for a replacement. They wanted to CHARGE ME FOR A TOTAL TOILET REPLACEMENT because they couldn't find a new lid. I demanded restitution, at which point I was promised that a supervisor would return my call. 3 months later, still nothing. My corporate HQ requires I use Fischer, but I've complained enough they allow me to use other options.

Fischer has recommended I replace entire hot water tanks when they have worked fine for years with minor repairs and heating element changes. In other words, they recommend dishonest expensive work when cheaper options work fine.

They get 2 stars because for minor work in the distant past they have been great, but I'm not sure why this company is falling down the toilet hole...so to speak.

I should've read these reviews before calling Fischer Plumbing. But they were the approved vendor for our condo association, so they got a panicked call from me on a Friday night after my toilet overan and flooded my bathroom. We'd had a stack problem a couple years earlier, so I mentioned that on the call, but ultimately, my toilet wouldn't flush. I also told them that on my call.

They sent a guy out the next day. He showed up in a big Fischer Plumbing truck, but apparently he didn't have any tools. He spent 20 minutes plunging my toilet, he told his manager over the phone, but no luck. He neglected to mention he was using my cheap IKEA plunger. No auger, no snake, no plunger of his own. He then told me he'd replaced my wax ring and tightened down the bolts, and left. And charged me $333.

When I called and tried to resolve this with the manager before writing this review, which I thought was fair, the manager got quite upset when I said this seemed like an obvious ploy to pad their bill. He then went on to say that because I'd mentioned the stack problem from a couple years back, he'd sent his 'drain specialist'. He thought this was a reasonable argument, because he kept circling back to it.

It's like that LifeLock commercial where the guy goes to the dentist, the dentist tells him what's wrong, and then the dentist says 'oh, I'm not a dentist, I'm a dental monitor'. ispot.tv/ad/wgXM/lifeloc…

Also, when I called in another plumber to fix the issue (it turned out to be a plugged toilet) he pulled it up and we both stood there and stared at an old, corroded wax ring. The first guy did not replace it as he said, that was obvious.

Don't do what I did. Let them diagnose the issue themselves when they get there. Because it didn't occur to them to bring a plunger into a bathroom that was having trouble with a toilet overflowing. Don't get me wrong, the first guy was a nice guy, and I don't mind paying someone for their time and expertise, but this was disingenuous, at best. Lesson learned, on my part. And an expensive one, at that! I won't be using them again.

Sink line was damaged and our property management CWD(another horrible service) called these people to do the job.
Absolutely worst ever. No communication AT ALL with us.
Is it fixed? Is it still bad? Can we use it now?
They just left saying they would come back next week. No updates on what was happening, nothing.
Absolutely unprofessional.

I do not recommend Fischer Plumbing to anyone.  They did a bathroom remodel and did not replace the old fixtures.  They did not test the fixtures when complete and left water leaking that damaged our floors and would not take responsibility for it.  We are very let down by the quality of their work.

I had a plumber from Fischer (Derek?) come to my house to install hot and cold faucet supply valves, and to extend the ABS drain out of the wall, ready for the wetbar I was putting in.  It was just a small job, but I really liked his professionalism, and the pride he clearly took in the quality of his work. I thought the price was reasonable too, although I didn't really shop around.
I was very happy.
I would definitely use Fischer plumbing again.

There was a flood in my house caused by a spontaneous toilet overflow when nobody was home. Naturally, I called the best-reviewed plumbing company that I could find online but was taken by surprise by how RUDE the front desk gal was. She acted like she had no idea why I needed someone to come out and talked down to me as if I were a child. Never calling them again.

My new input: The smug response by Fischer's representative about my perception of how they treated me is just another clear example of the type of people you are dealing with here. Belittling and discourteous to say the least. To  even use the word, doubt at my experience is just comical and completely immature. Way to go again, guys. Way to take some ownership there! I definitely read this review and your comment to it to my friends (and even employers) when I tell them NOT to do business with you.

If I was able to give negative stars I would.  The customer service is completely non-existent.  When you call they have this attitude like, why are you bothering me?  They are completely unorganized.

I manage several condominium communities and have used them a few times for drain cleaning.  The last time I *tried* to use them they kept telling me they would get someone out to clear a drain in the driveway.  I kept calling for updates and they didn't seem to know what I was talking about and, again, gave me this attitude that I was bothering them.  It took 57 days before I decided to send out someone else.

I highly suggest you find a different company.  Fischer clearly doesn't want your money.

Keep looking .  Like others, I should have read the reviews before hiring Fischer!  We clearly described the problem and our needs when we called, however Fischer sent a plumber who said he couldn't do it and a drain specialist was necessary.  If you read through the reviews, variations of this seem common.

We were charged for the time of the first plumber, although his assessment didn't go beyond what we had already reported on our initial call.   When I called accounting, they said you only said a razor was flushed and the wall mounted toilet needed to be reset -- you didn't tell us it was clogged.   The flushed razor was clogging the toilet.  It seems that was implied in our need for a plumber?

Plumbers were nice, professional, etc, however service delivery and billing practices quite questionable!

Fischer plumbing is horrible! Their guys are trained to play dumb and milk the clock, they acted like they didn't know how to turn off my main water line, after I pointed it out an hour ago! Very unprofessional, scratched my car while in my garage and used my toilet, which I find disgusting. Very overpriced and still didn't correctly install my dishwasher, because a piece keeps popping off at the bottom. I will never, never use this company again!

I will never recommend these guys to anyone I know! Called to have a technician come out in March to get an invoice for the furnace I have, which works 100% fine, as I needed it for Section 8 housing contract. They came out there and said there was work done on the furnace so they charged me close to $300 after taxes. When I called them up the tech said he would reduce the payment and didn't hear back from him so I contact another company who only charged me $60 for the invoice.  Now I was just forced to pay $164 for something I don't even need anymore.

Are all plumbers crooks or all crooks plumbers?

I am certainly going to report these guys to a better business bureau! Never mind that the plumber arrive at my place two hours late and I had to call and constantly ask their customer support about his ETA and they just didn't care for it. More importantly, he worked her for exactly 1 hour, and I mind you their rate is $180/hour (I have security camera footage to prove exactly how long he's stayed). He did a couple of fairy simple fixes, only one of which required a new part -- he replaced a connection joint.

Now you know what I get charged on my bill? 1.25 hours of his work and $100 for parts! (he installed $10 dollars worth of a connecting joint).

Honestly, I am okay with these guys charging high rates, if they were honest about it. But when they basically doubled their already high rates with fake costs of service and parts, that's just bad business. Stay away!

This company is way too expensive!!  They charged us $557.72 to install a toilet we already purchased.  They charged over $80 to pick up our toilet at Home Depot.  I went with company be referral and learned my lesson.  It's ok to get a referral, yet do your research too!  There are other posts that say this company over charges.  Needles to say I won't refer this company.

Beware Prices Outrageous

I had a pre-purchased faucet installed recently from a plumber at this business and it took 1.25 hours.

I was charged $466.00 which included a $75 travel fee.

I had previously used this company because it had been our chosen plumbing company at my former condo.

However after this experience, it will be banned at my current condominium and for my own plumbing needs.

If you have work done, make sure they put it in writing and sign it because they do not give clients any estimate of the cost beforehand.

Our ceiling started leaking Thursday night at 8pm. I called and left a voicemail for someone to come and troubleshoot what was going on. I received a call at 745 the following morning that a plumber as available at 9am. They showed up EARLY and quickly assessed and fixed the problem. They were out the door in 20 minutes with the problem resolved.  I have no plumbing knowledge and they were kind, explained what they were going to and gave really good advice for what to look for in the future. I would recommend Fischer plumbing without hesitation.

These guys were more readily available than other plumbing services for an emergency issue. That's 1 star for them. However, they did not solve the issue.

The first crew had us turn the water on in every room for 30 min and couldn't figure out the leak issue.  They charged us $200 for labor for that 45 min visit. Yay for nothing.

The second crew came out and scoped out the pipes in the vicinity.  Still, no identification of the actual problem. That visit on the same day cost $231. Well, ok. At least they lifted a finger and took out video equipment to check the health of the pipes.

Later that day, I had to call a different company that was able to work with us and figure out the issue. They triaged the problem effectively and identified it within the same amount of time that one of the Fischer team's spent in the house.

Net net - Fischer is a factory. Sure you get better customer service than a mom and pop plumbing company might provide, but that's because you as a customer are paying a premium for that overhead.  The quality of the work is definitely suspect and their pricing policy is on the border of being unethical.

This was our first major plumbing issue and we got burned by going w/ Fischer. Going forward, we won't be making that mistake again.

I've worked with Fischer Plumbing several times before, and thought they were alright. I thought I'd give them a try for a plumbing project for my remodel. Some months ago, I opened the 2012 Plumbing Code from the Seattle Department of Planning and Development web site, and started plumbing my house. I completed my rough in, and satisfied with my work, began the water-pressure test. I had a couple of leaks. It was a long haul to get there, and I had other parts of my remodel needing my attention so I thought Fischer could help me get to the finish line. They came on site, asked about my project, told them I did the work, and along came their list of code violations. According to them, everything about my project wasn't code. From there, I got a hefty bid to, basically, redo the entire project. I felt defeated.

I went back to the Plumbing Code and couldn't find anything to corroborate their findings (except a 2 kitchen line - a mistake of mine).

I asked Fischer for an updated quote, to reflect my first request, and mentioned their code mistakes.

In the meantime, I called another plumbing company to come out and get me a bid. They said everything looked code, and he encouraged me to finish the work myself (I came this far, right?). Wow! An honest guy! So I hunkered down and did the work. Tested everything and it worked. Called for inspection, and I passed. Quite literally, minutes after the inspector left my house, Fischer called to argue with me about my updated bid request, asking me where I got my Plumbing Code information. I told them I passed inspection and hung up.

Bottom line? A VERY disappointing experience. They're not as knowledgeable about code as they claim and would have been perfectly content taking a lot of my money to do a lot of work that truly wasn't needed. On top of it all, I was treated poorly. They lost a long time customer in me.

We had billing issue with them. They seemed to have charged very aggressively (over charged). But when we called at least they seemed reasonable and was willing to adjust invoice a little. But then 2 months later came back and said we still owed sales tax in full. Was going to send us to collections for some miniscule amount of $100. It just wasn't worth our time to argue with.
But work done seemed good, just very expensive.

Fischer Plumbing replaced my 30 year old furnace and 15 year old water tank today and the crew of two worked hard to get the job done right.  The crew worked well together and took pride in their work.  They cleaned up and picked up the mess afterward, greatly appreciated.  Would highly recommend for future projects.

I love Fischer Plumbing I honestly think the best plumbers in Washington State or maybe even the tri-state area I live in Bellevue and I had a 1948 toilet that had seen better days like literally it was just it was disturbing so I just called them and I I ordered it Toto toilet I would really recommend them because they just work they don't clog that happens often but I'm really not into plungers I can do it and I have but I'd rather not and not only that they always your super professional they're nice and I have two other condos in Queen Anne that I rent out and I was redoing them and I had Fischer come out and I asked him like I want a good toilet that flushes fast and they told me the Toto is the best and they were totally right and they're just great professional and check out all the other toilets in the house so

I am baffled by the negative reviews for Fischer plumbing...especially when it comes to customer service.  I am ALWAYS greeted with a professional helpful person, whether it's on the phone or in my house.  They came out after a less than stellar experience with another company that actually damaged our bathroom and didn't even solve our problem.  Fischer sent out very competent technicians to properly diagnose and fix our side sewer problem.  Even though we've been on the schedule for a few days out, they have managed to work us in sooner.  We are very satisfied.

Had a great experience with Jon fixing my toilet after I somehow managed to flush a small bottle of air freshener down it and jam it up.  Jon was able to come out right away and take a look.  He was friendly and professional and was able to have my toilet taken apart, the bottle removed, and my toilet all back together again in less than an hour.  This was on a holiday so it was a bit more expensive than otherwise, but worth it given the fast, friendly service.  Thanks Jon!

We called them to service our radiant heat system. They quoted $75 for a service call. No mention of any other charges. The service guy shows up one week early to start off.  He found the system and told us this type needed no maintenance. We then showed him a leaking pedestal sink. He quoted  3 hrs work at $180 per hour. We found someone to do the work for half that.
We never received a bill. We called several times and they couldn't find our account. We got the bill 2 months later and it was for $180. The $75 service call plus $90 labor. This was 30 minutes at $45 per quarter hour. My wife called the manager. He basically called her a liar stating there was no way we weren't told about the charges. He then berated her for paying the bill late. We paid the bill and sent him the envelope. This is the type company that gives plumbers a bad name.

I would not recommend this company. THEY OVER CHARGE

This is the second time I use Fischer, and won't use it again. They came to my place to install a garbage disposal this time. I chosen this company because they have experiences with the pipe in my building, and we have weird pipe in the building, but to be honest, I should have hired other people to install my garbage disposal since it will not involve any pipe behind the wall. The job was done and no issue occurs so far (finger crossed), but I have complains about over charged and their service.

The major complains:
1. Over charge the working time. They charge at least 30min more than what they really did. Remember! they charge $45 every 15 mins! It took $100 more immediately

2. Do not prepare well. When I speak to customer service on the phone I indicated that I would need them to bring a garbage disposal, I won't have my own. The plumber came with one, but he took the WRONG one. he have a garbage disposal with cord on and my kitchen actually needs a garbage WITHOUT a cord. However, he does not have one with him, so he had to remove cord by himself. There are two problems here: $$$$$$$$$$

1) the one with cord is more expensive than the garbage disposal without a cord!!!! I NEED TO PAY MORE BECAUSE THEY DID NOT PREPARE A RIGHT MODEL.
2) HE TOOK at least 15 MORE MINS ( equal to $$$45 more) to remove cord from garbage disposal

=== I need to pay more because they did not prepare their job well, which is very unpleasant

The minor complains:
1. The plumber was not very careful when doing his job, he scratch my cabinet, hit my oven, drop tools on my laminate floor.

2. Do not take off shoes. I did not ask him to do it, because I feel.... alright, at least save few mins since they charge 45 per 15 mins.

The job is done and without an issue now, but very unhappy about overcharge.

I have used other plumbers before, they got work done, respect your place and stuff, and charge less, so I would recommend people to find other plumbers with better review

A Fischer Plumbing truck and trailer were parked on Serene Way all day on 2/19/2019. The large truck and trailer took up one active lane of traffic making it impossible for a firetruck to get past and difficult for vehicle traffic. I called Fischer Plumbing office and asked if they could please move it off of the road? The receptionist took the information and put me on hold for about 10 minutes. She transferred me to the BOSS Daryl I asked him nicely to move the vehicles from the active roadway. He asked me how the hell was it affecting me? He was belligerent and nasty on the phone. He told me he was not having his crew move the truck. He wanted my full name and address. For what reason idk what a jerk. unfortunately, he was on speaker and my little girl could hear everything he said. She told me, mommy, that bad man is mean. I would not do business with a company that treats people in the community this badly.

Fischer came out to my house to assess the hot water / radiant heat design and was to follow up with a proposal.  I was charged $250 for the visit and received no proposal or follow up.  Calls to their office always get transferred to another department where you leave a message after an anonymous un-named voice mail recording.  I paid the visit charge and filled out the We Want to Know What You Think Because We Really Care survey and noted that we were waiting on a proposal.  No response.  A $250 lesson learned. This company sponsors a cycle team that I belonged to for 5 years, so I felt I should have some loyalty.  Apparently, the feeling was not reciprocal

I should have read reviews first!!!

We had a blockage in our storm drain in the drive way of our house. We called Fischer Plumbing to inspect and potentially help us remedy the situation.

They sent out an agent to the house to inspect. The agent looked at the drain, said there was too much water in it and could not get his equipment into the system and would have to check it out, and would need to come back.

When we tried to arrange another time the I was told that they could not repair the problem and that we should try someone else! Meanwhile that are charging me $280.50 for nothing!

I called to try and resolve the situation with their customer service, I was told they are charging me.

Bad experience, BAD customer care! Never again.

Make sure you get estimates in writing.  I had an emergency plumbing need and I called and they were able to get someone out here pretty quickly.  When they arrived they said that the part had to be completely replaced (despite my online research saying that it might have just been jammed and could have been taken apart and repaired). I was desperate so I agreed to the replacement. When I asked how much he said it would be $700. When I pushed back and said I could buy the part from home depot for 1/3 that cost he backtracked and said that was all in including install.  I should have said forgot it and done it myself but I agreed to let him do the work.  It took less than 15 minutes and when he wrote up the invoice, it just had one line item. No break down on how much the part was and how much the labor was - just $750, which was $50 MORE than what he quoted me, and then he added tax to that amount ($75). So I paid $125 more than what he quoted me for the all in price and it was $525 more than if I had just run to Home Depot and done the install myself.  Lesson learned.  I will never use these guys again but this has taught me a valuable lesson about up front quotes and estimates.

Work was done quickly and everything looks good, but the initial estimate for work was significantly lower than the final bill. No explanation for this variation was offered by anyone. I would recommend being cautious and getting a second opinion when considering having work done by them, if it isn't an emergency. Be careful.

I've Used Fischer Plumbing multiple times over quite a few years. They do a decent job, and usually show up on time. But this last time will most likely be the last time I use them. The technician that showed up was a nice person, and seemed to know his trade. Really no complains there, but here are the reasons why I won't be calling them next time I have an issues that needs to be fixed.

- The Technician was not able to give me a quote on the spot. The Staff on the other end of the phone were not able to do so either.. Basically it was a surprise for me until the bill showed up (which only allows you to send a check via snail mail)

- I had to have a 2nd appointment because the Tech didn't have the materials on his truck.. that was fine but it took another 1.5 weeks to get it fixed, and I had to call the company 3 times before I was actually able to schedule a time.

- The Price was HIGH. I know plumbers are expensive.. but the people didn't even give me a quote and I'm left with this HUGE bill in the mail. I had no idea what I was getting into. $600+ for changing a toilet tank seems a bit high, especially when I wasn't given a quote in the first place.

Again, the job done wasn't bad, so I may end up using these guys again, but I will be trying other companines/people first.

They are quick to respond but, I was charged $181.67 for a service call where the plumber stayed 15 minutes and DID NOT EVEN TURN ON THE WATER. He never touched tools- he only spun the diverter to my shower and told me everything needed to be replaced.

I called to talk about my bill and was sent to a woman named Sherry or Sheryl's voicemail and never recieved a call back. There was a charge for Service and for Labor. There was no labor except the use of his voice and twirling of the knob.

Fischer plumbing forgot to turn my water back on during one of the days of the 2 months it took them to upgrade the building's water pipes. They also switched the water temperature pipes in the washer so the washer was outputting hot instead of cold, damaging my clothes for who knows how many wash cycles now. And their patch work on the walls was amateurish and left splatters of drywall compound for me to clean. Seems they don't care about quality control..

We had a great experience with Fischer Plumbing! I own a women's clothing store, and one of our pipes broke in the middle of the store. Once they figured out the problem they had to come back a couple times, and each time they were professional, clean, timely, and thorougly explained the situation to us. I was concerned it would impact our business, and Howard and his team did a great job tenting off the section they worked in and kept everything clean and tidy! Broken pipes and disrupted plumbing is never an ideal situation, but Fischer Plumbing did a great job making it manageable and fixing it for us! Thank you!

I was recommended Fischer Plumbing from my condo management company. I was a little nervous given their reviews online, but I have to say I disagree with the bad reviews, at least for my needs. I had a clogged bathtub and a broken handle on my toilet, and Fischer was able to get a technician out to my house EARLIER than the original time frame (the same day I made the call!).  Everyone from the dispatchers answering the phones to the technician were polite and competent.  The technician even stopped to patiently talk to my neighbor about questions she was having about her bathroom sink!

Hooray my tub now drains!  Hooray my toilet handle now works!  And the quotes they gave were within range of the other same-day plumbing service I contacted!

Fischer Plumbing highly exceeded our expectations when we needed to run new gas lines in our home. From the initial estimate and throughout the entire installation, the turnaround and quality of work was amazing. It was truly more than we could ask for. The professionalism of all employees involved in our install was top notch. There is no doubt that Fischer Plumbing will get the call if we ever require plumbing services in the future. We highly recommend this company!

I cannot say enough great things about working with this company.  They determined my main drain was clogged causing the backups in my home. The crew came on 3 different days to complete a tough job. I don't normally review services but I like others felt that Fischer Plumbing doesn't tell you the full fees of their services and materials.
I had to have a kitchen vent dropped 6 inches to remove the top of a pony wall. The entire job involved replacing 3' of vertical stack in the wall (cut open already) and 4' of horizontal pipe to go to the sink. The entire cabinet and pony wall had been previously removed so there was nothing there but the pipes and 2 2x4s for support. The plumber who went to do the work was excellent and very helpful and nice. He did the work well and I cannot complain about that.

What they get a 2 star for is the overall cost and fees I wasn't told of. I had asked them about the job and was told 2 weeks prior that they do scheduling 2 days in advance and to call back when I was going to have the job done. I was also not told of the $75 'service' charge which I had asked about how much it would cost. The next BIG issue was the charge of materials. For replacing those two sections of pipe and 3 shut off valves was $190! The shut off valves were 5/8 instead of 1/2 so they cost more but I was charged $16 per. Home Depot sells the exact model for $12, that's an up charge of 25% from a store that already charges more to make a profit (and Fischer gets whole sale prices). I was then charge $25 for consumables and $25 for 'overhead' all listed as materials. The 12' of piping came in at $40 and the rest was for joints.

I will never go back to Fischer Plumbing for a job as the total cost for this was $690, way higher then it ever should have been.

Mine and my neighbors shared sewer line was backing up through the riser in my driveway. I called Fischer plumbing, who had done work to repair the line before I bought my house (I had old paperwork), and had them come take a look. They came out first thing the next morning, scoped the problem, and cleared the initial blockage of debris. He came back that same day with a jet cleaner to remove the rest of the roots in the line, and while my line has the potential to be blocked again with more roots (the line is so old, it's not water tight anymore, he said), the problem is resolved for *hopefully* a long while. I was mostly relieved that we didn't have to dig up and repair a large section of the line again. Only 4 stars because it was extremely expensive for a couple hours of work, but everything about the job went smoothly and the drain expert was very professional and courteous. I would definitely hire again, but perhaps negotiate on price before agreeing to hire. You live and learn.

Sketchy and deceptive - STAY AWAY!!!  Long time yelp reader, first time reviewer after a very discouraging experience.

My husband called around to quite a few businesses to replace our hot water heater and Fischer Plumbing gave us the lowest quote.  We scheduled an appointment with them and they were supposed to call upon arriving.  The employee did not call and just proceeded to knock on the door while I was trying to put my son down for a nap - annoying, but not a big deal in the scheme of things (although he is still awake as we speak).

My husband had mistakenly told them a different size for the water heater so we were informed that the actual size that we needed was $50 more, not a big deal.  However, the all-inclusive price that we were quoted had a bunch of incidentals that needed to be added making the final price nearly $275 more than what we were quoted.  When I expressed my shock at this and the employee spoke to my husband, he told us that he thought he could get us what we needed within our budget.  He made a big show of calling his employer and asking to have the price reduced.  He got off the phone and told me that he could not reduce the price since hot water heaters are going up in price in the next two weeks and this was the best deal we would be able to get.

So we said thanks, but no thanks.  The whole experience felt sketchy and like they were purposefully being deceptive.  I'm not upset at the price, I'm upset at the deception.  When you are using services like this you are probably in need and it is horrible for companies to take advantage of that.  The Yelp reviews seem to indicate that a lot of other people have had similar experiences.

$925 per hour?? That's right!!

Our sink clogged up on a Saturday, so we needed a plumber to come out and snake the drain. Our usual plumber was out of town, so we called Fischer Plumbing - HUGE MISTAKE!! Saturday is considered an emergency day which apparently entitles Fischer Plumbing to PRICE GOUGE!

Their plumber worked for about 35-40 minutes. He unclogged the drain...two days later, it was clogged again. The initial trip out - 40 minutes tops - COST US $925!! We called again and demanded that they come back out and unclog the drain. No charge for the second trip, needless to say.

We will NEVER call Fischer Plumbing again, and I've emailed every person in my address book (about 500 people) to warn them about my experience with these RIP OFF ARTISTS!

Gotta run cuz I gotta post reviews for these guys on yahoo, google, aol and citysearch. Just doing my duty, keeping fellow citizens safe from THIEVES!

DO NOT USE FISCHER PLUMBING!

I had a minor leak in the bathtub faucet, which required a replacement valve that cost about $100.  The initial visit cost $75.  Plumber, Dave, took a photo of the part that needed to be replaced, and he himself said it would only take about 10 minutes to replace once he had the part.  2nd Visit: plumber ordered the wrong part.  Called Fischer to notify them that the plumber didn't have the right part, and that no work was done/there should not be any charge for that visit.  They said they noted it.  3rd Visit: plumber had the right part and took 10 minutes to replace.  My bill should've been around $220.  They billed me for $622!  And when I called them (spoke with billing supervisor, Terri) to find out why the bill was so high, they said there was 2 hours of work they charged for (they charge $180/hr)!  GM, Terri, was rude on the phone and not capable of handling customer complaints, despite the fact that I told him Fischer was recommended to me by the Condo Building's Property Management Company.  I am utterly disgusted at their unethical and dishonest business practices.  I should've read these other yelp reviews first and avoided this company like the plague.  Shame on you, Fischer Plumbing, for ripping off customers.

DO NOT TRUST.  Fischer not only tried to pull a classic 'bait and switch' on their original quote, but tried to double bill me for several items expressly included in their original quote.

My water heater was leaking and I called around a few places for quotes to have it replaced, all of which were pretty similar, and I ended up selecting Fischer.

When their installation representative arrived, he took a look at the existing water heater and started to talk about certain 'extras' I might need. After about fifteen minutes of taking notes, he presented a revised invoice for nearly double their original quote, which included charges for items that were expressly included in the original quote.  When I asked him why he was charging me twice for items that were already listed in the original quote, he had no answer - at this point I politely asked him to leave.

Quoting someone $900 to deliver and install a new water heater with earthquake straps and remove and dispose of the old water heater seems like a lot, but not unreasonable.  When their installation representative tried to raise the price to over $1500 for the exact same job (which me and a friend ended up doing ourselves the next weekend for the price of a new water heater ($250) and a pizza) -- double charging for some items and adding on line item charges for things like 'consumables' -- I call it like I see it -- fraud.

I was so upset, I purposely joined Yelp just to post this message, and feel like writing a letter to WA AG's office.

I was recommended this company by the condo association manager because she saw they working on the property in the past.  I called them for an estimate.  They came after about a week and a half.  When the plumber came he sat in the truck for a long time.  He finally looked at the problem.  I told him the hot water pump for circulating the hot water around the house for heating has stopped working.  Back to the driver seat he went and continued sitting there for a lot longer.  He called me after a good 35 minutes and told me the pump has to be replaced because it is hot.  I wonder how long it takes to determine the pump was hot.  At the end he charged me 45 minutes for the estimate.  He unplugged the pump before he left.  I told him I will be on vacation for about 2 weeks and he should proceed with parts ordering for the pump replacement.

After my vacation, no one in the shop including the plumber could remember ordering any parts.  I said get the parts and come fix my heating as soon as you can.  It took about a week and a half for the parts to get here.  Good thing November, 2016, was not too cold.  I had to use a thick blanket when I sleep at night because there was no heat.

The plumber finally showed up with the parts necessary.  He took he sweet time once again.  Each time I checked on him he is bent over the back of the truck cube van reading the installation instructions.  He looks like he was doing something on the back of his cube van all the time.  After a good 30 minutes he called me in the house and said everything should be OK now.  I think he sized the pump wrong because once it is on the hot water in house is slowed down.  I have worked in a factory setting all my life.  I know when a worker is gouging you.  Since I had cancer spine surgery a few months ago I didn't want to argue.  I am sure I cannot do the work so why argue.

I had to call them to ask about the bill.  Finally, I got a bill after 2 and a half weeks.  It came out to about $900.  The plumber charged 1.5 hours for changing the pump and $300 for parts.  I think this company is very dishonest.  I would NOT recommend them and I will not go back to them for any further business again.  I did not realized that Yelp rates plumber as well.  I would not have hired them if I knew of all the negative comments I see tonight.

In summary:
Long time to get parts.
Plumber appeared to be ripping me off for time charge.
Dropped the ball in ordering parts.  Needed to be reminded to order parts again.
I needed to chase after the bill.  Never any clue as to where I stand in terms of billing.

Quite expensive! Had Fischer Plumbing check kitchen faucet for leak under sink. Because the entire unit will be replaced in an upcoming renovation, the repair consisted of just tightening the existing nut for the leaking hot water control. It still leaks, so I turn on the hot water control only when I need to wash dishes. Service call = $75. Labor (less than 15 actual minutes) = $90 !!!! TOTAL COST with tax = $181.67 !!!! Fischer Plumbing is a reputable plumbing company, but it seems they need to review their pricing policies. The cost of my faucet repair really does NOT merit such a high bill. The one-star rating reflects Fischer Plumbing's exorbitant bill for the actual work rendered.

Had our water main burst December 2014.  Fischer came out twice. The first time the guy didn't do anything, but we're still charged $350.  Two days later a couple guys came out fix the issue and we got a $1,200 bill for the job. We weren't happy.  Come June 2016 we had a leak where the previous work was done.  I called Fischer expecting them to tell us it's not under warranty, it's our problem, but instead they came out the next day fixed the leak and did not charge.  Even though it had been way past the 1 year mark we weren't charged.  They stand by their work.  I can appreciate that very much.  I give 4 stars only because my past experience wasn't so great.

They seem to do quality work, so if that is your only criteria then you can give them a call.  However, they get the lowest rating from me because of their pricing practices.  They came to fix my hot water heater, after I had told them the brand, model and serial number along with a photo AND identified the broken part so the repair could proceed quickly.  They showed up, as scheduled, and said we don't carry those parts and will have to order it.  AND they charged me for that visit!!  Then, after seeking an estimate for the repair, they said we can't do that until we get the parts in (the day before my newly scheduled repair).  I spoke to the General Manager and he informed me the parts were $324 and labor was $45 every fifteen minutes.  Reluctantly, I agreed.  But he made no mention that I would be charged a service call fee on top of the $3 per minute charge or that I would be charged for the first visit that should never had occurred without the parts on hand.  I've used them through Homeowners Club for another house; that level of protection and oversight is unfortunately necessary if you just don't want to be taken advantage of financially.  I'm sure other companies do good work and also manage to be up front about pricing.  Fischer, unfortunately, cannot manage both criteria.

WATCH OUT FOR FEES!!!!!!!!

When you receive your bill from Fischer Plumbing make sure you're sitting down.  We had a plumber out to our house to work on our water heater for 3.75 hours.  What they don't tell you is that they charge you $75.00 right off the bat, just for coming over.  Then it's $158 or so an hour there forward.  I realized only later that when they quoted me over the phone $70 they were talking 1/2 hour.  My bill for one visit totaled over $900.  FLOORED.

On top of that they are difficult to get a hold of and seem to be kind of a mess.  Our plumber came out once for 1/2 hour and then was to come back but I never got a call to follow up and reschedule so I called.  The receptionist had no notes about my visit so she had to track down the plumber to find out if he was able to get in touch with the manufacturer of our water heater to answer some questions.  Shouldn't there be some sort of paper trail or records or a follow up??

Lastly, they also replaced our garbage disposal.  Luckily I knew better than to purchase a new disposal from them.  Each of the three models they priced for me was $50 or more cheaper at Home Depot.  Honestly, I get charging a little extra markup just for convenience but that's excessive and more than doubled the overall cost of the disposal we went with.

In short, stay away - lots of other options out there that won't hurt as bad as these guys to.   On the positive side our plumber, Steve, was pretty awesome.  I'd certainly use him again but not as long as he's working for Fischer Plumbing.

Excellent job, wonderful and compassionate people and fast!!!  We needed a water damage specialist for an emergency and they were here in an hour!  Les Griffith was amazing and walked me through everything that they were doing and what I could expect.  When they left on day one Les told me that he would call me the next day between 10 and 11...  he did just that and was here 30 min later.

I would recommend this company to anyone!  Generally you meet plumbers and water damage specialists under less than ideal circumstances and this company and Les are wonderful!!!

Fischer Plumbing was hired by our HOA to replace the water heaters and hoses in our condominimum.  1. they wanted to charge us $70 per hose which we thought was ridiculous so we did it ourselves for only $8 per hose.  One of our hoses we could not replace ourselves so they did and had to jimmy rig it--who knows how long that would have lasted.  At any rate, we replaced the fridge shortly after and the deliver guy was perplexed when he saw the hose.  2. they were extremely careless in our condo as well as others in the building and did damage.  They didn't seem to follow through on fixing our damage so we pursued it and got money off of our bill.  Still leaves a bad taste in my mouth though.  Will not recommend.

The Technician showed up at my door at 8:45am (my appointment was at 8:30) and he left at 10:35am. But, I got a bill for 2.25 hours. I called the office and they said they had GPS on the service truck and it said the technician arrived at 8:29. I said I don't know what the guy was doing in his truck and I shouldn't be paying for it. The lady agree to take the 0.25 hour off. I should have shopped around before I call Fischer.
Their rate is ($75 just to send someone out; $35 dollars for every 15 minutes).

Make sure you track the time for their technician and double check the bill.

Quoted me 4-5 days and $8,000 to install a pre-fabricated hydronic system and tankless hot water heater.

Ultimately, it took 9+ days and cost nearly $16,000.

And on the day they finished up, I came home to discover a gas leak in the new work that put me and my family at risk until the next morning when a tech could come out and replace the improperly installed joint.

And to top that off, I had to call 3 times to get them to send me a final bill (they were still progress billing me a month after the job was done) and am (2 months after completion) still waiting for a break-down of the charges (the bill included a charge for more than $1,700 in parts for a system that I purchased myself, so I've repeatedly asked for a break-down of the parts they sold me and why they cost so much).

I knew I would pay top dollar on this project, but did not think that it would be possible to double what they quoted me.  Also, I didn't expect to have significant issues with the  workmanship -- the install crew seemed competent, but coming home to find a gas leak when they were done severely undermined my confidence in this assessment.

If I could do it over again, I would have gone with someone else.  And i'll be hard pressed to use or recommend Fischer Plumbing in the future.

UNBELIEVABLE.  And, not in a good way.  I'd give them zero stars if possible.
Fischer came out for a clogged sewer line.  There are two toilets he could remove to get to clean out line.  I told the plumber the first one was NOT likely the correct toilet to remove but I won't bother with details here.  After struggling to remove the first toilet after cutting out the caulking, he gave up and removed the other easily.
After removing the clog, he wrote up an invoice for $200.00 MORE than the $300.00 base charge for after hours work.  He spent exactly an hour on site.  He corrected the invoice which included a lot of recommendations the guy never made.
He never re-caulked either toilet and charged me $20.00 for a Cable.  No idea what that's for but possibly legit.
THEN, two days later, I got a call from Fischer's accounting office telling me they charged me $737.00.  I said, no, no, no.  They have yet to get back to me.
I'll NEVER use Fischer Plumbing again.

I would give them negative 5 stars if I could. Don't use them especially you are a female. I think they picked on females because they are usually less confrontational.

I had a clogged sink which only requires a long snake to unclogged it. They charged $75 dollars to come out, and $45 every 15 minutes. According to my wife, they spend about 15 minutes fixing it but charged us 30 minutes, and get this, $20 for using the snake - the tool that they used to unclogged the sink. It is like going to your mechanic and they charge you $20 for using their wrench to work on your car.

Fisher plumbing is the worst kind of dishonest--the kind that hides behind a veil of service and honesty.  I can at least give some credit to crooks who don't pretend to be anything but.

I'm writing about a service call that occurred a couple of months ago.  I wanted to replace a toilet.

The plumber spent 50 minutes working and took 1.5 hours beginning to end.  I was eventually quoted for 2.5 hours of labor for a cost of $580.  He also used 3 standard parts that they invoiced at $68.

When the plumber left, I asked for an itemized receipt.  The plumber said they would send it later.  It came two weeks later, vague as can be--just parts and labor.  When I called Fisher about the $68 in parts, they read off a detailed list of parts that they never shared with me.  Were they trying to hide the part names from me?  I suspect so because research with 7 other plumbers yielded quotes ranging from $20 to $25 for the same parts.

In a follow-up letter, the owner claimed the additional 90 minutes of labor when the plumber wasn't fixing the toilet was necessary to find parking (there were 5 free spots in front of the building at the time he showed up), remove the toilet from the box (3 minutes), throw out the cardboard box (2 minutes to get to the recycling room in our building), and dispose of the toilet down the street (5 minutes assuming you're a very slow walker).  He used the words value and service so deliberately it should have been a surprise to me I overlooked all these great things they gave me without my noticing!

The other companies I spoke with were appalled by the inflated estimate.  Unsurprisingly, they were also appalled when they heard the words, Fisher Plumbing.

I left 30 minutes after the plumber left to get lunch.  On my way out, I noticed the truck was still in the alley with the plumber in the front seat; not engaging in the famed Fisher Plumbing cleanup job or even doing something in his truck bed.  Maybe he was hard at work trying to remember the items he used for the itemized receipt.

I received a call from Fischer Plumbing in May of 2017 telling me I owed them from a service call in 2015, more than 2 years earlier.  Since I did recall working with them, but had no recollection of how I paid,  I asked the caller to email me a statement, to which she replied with a list of fees and late fees that had racked up over those 2 years, but no statement.  I never received any bills, statements or calls in the two years in between - not a single one.  Now I am told that she'll waive the late fees if I pay it within the next 10 days.  Shoddy business practices all the way through.

This is first review. I was very frustrated with their service and charges.

Always fischer plumbing adds the extra 15 mins labor hour. They came for twice to fix the issue and added 15 mins extra each time. I even confirmed with plumber, he spent 30 mins for first time and 55 mins second time. They charged me for 2 hours instead of 1.5 hours.

Plumbing person came and guessed the water leak is from shower valve cartage and replace is needed as this is common problem to the showers. we doubted that that leak is from shower valve cartage. They ordered part and have to wait for 1 week. when I check, they wont buy from local stores it should be the distribution center and have wait till it comes.

It came after one week, and the guy came again replaced part. said the leak is fixed. Then I showed the water leak. then he opened the dry wall and fixed the leaking pvc pipe. I have to wait for the 1 week to get the dry wall to be damaged and replaced the part which is not even needed.

Still waiting for the details for Material charge.

After all they will charge $180/hr + $75 service charge

It was chosen by condominium, If I know this then I would avoided using Fischer plumbing and never use them again.

I'm changing my review from 4 to 1 star.

We have used this company for many service calls for both our home and our 2 rental houses.  The last two times we used them when the bill came in I was blown away at how much it was.  Last time, I called they refunded us for 1/2 hour which seemed great at the time.  Recently, they came out and did a job that literally took 10 minutes - I'm not exaggerating.  We just got the bill and here's the breakdown:

Service Call :  $75.00  - (permanent on the receipts so must be a base charge for coming out)
Material : $22.49
Labor : $90  !!!!!!!!
Tax : 18.00
Total :  205.49
Labor : 1/2 hour (rounded up from about 10 minutes)

We won't be using them again.

Unbelievable!  Hot water heater pilot went out.  I tried to re-light it myself several times but whoever installed it placed security straps right over the instructions.  Still, I recalled the steps from previous homes but still couldn't get it to light, I called Fischer.  The plumber arrived, lit it, and wrote up our bill in less than 5 minutes.  $75 for the service call (a flat rate already pre-printed on the bill) and $90 for his 2 minutes of effort. Wish I had read Yelp first!  I will never call them again.

If I can give than 0 stars I would. These guys are a scam. Don't ever fall into these guys trap. I called them there was a slight water leak. The guy came to apartment complex and didn't even make an effort to find the house. As he was leaving I have to chase him down and show him the town home (hint: update your GPS). He came to the house and ran water in the sink and in the bath tub and found out that water leak was from left out water seeping through the floor. He advised us to keep it dry. He didn't use any of this tools or material to fix the water leak. In comes to the bill for 70$ service all + 90 $ for the labor. These guys are dishonest and rotten to the core. They didn't tell us the charges ahead and charged with this huge bill for doing nothing.

My homeowners club recommended Fisher to replace my sewer after a tree was uprooted.  However, my remodeling contractor thought their work looked suspicious.  Sure enough, it didn't pass inspection by the City of Bellevue because the wrong kind of joints had been used.  Even at that, the line had to be dug up and replaced later because Fisher had failed to connect the kitchen drainpipe to the sewer line.

I had a drainage problem with my washer. I called on a Friday afternoon and they had someone out in a little over an hour. I was pretty impressed.

He fixed the problem in 15 minutes. The total bill was about $120 - $75 flat fee for the visit and the rest was labor and tax. Maybe a bit pricey but convenience comes at a cost, right?

Scam artists. Billed my property management company $330 to come out for less than an hour, look at a broken water heater, and declare that a part needed replaced. When pressed on the absurd figure, they claimed they'd made a clerical error and lowered it to the still-absurd $230. Frivolous charges were for attempting to repair and making calls to try to find a replacement part in the total span of 30-45 minutes. The actual repair, which basic internet research revealed should run no more than $150-200, they quoted at $500. We declined and happily paid an honest company to replace the water heater instead.

A+ Fischer Plumbing & Thank You.
My grandparents needed some bathroom fixtures installed, a sink faucet & shower faucet/handle fixture.  We had originally called Southwest Plumbing and waited weeks for the appointment. Southwest came in took a look around for 5 mins then tried to draw up a contract for over $1000!! So we gave them the boot and found Fischer Plumbing.
Fischer came out in just a few days. Upon arrival the technician was courteous & professional. He worked his tuckas off to get things done right and in a timely manner.
I left before the job was finished but my grandparents told me they were absolutely delighted with the service they received and the bathroom looked great!  He even made sure to clean up when he was done. When it came time to pay the bill it was HUNDREDS less than what Southwest tired to charge them and Fischer even gave them a senior discount!
I will definitely remember Fischer for the future.

Just had Fischer plumbing come in and snake my sewer main. They came same-day, only an hour and a half after I called them and well within their quoted service window. Their cost was less than $250. They came out today after I sent Beacon Plumbing away when they quoted me $680+ for the same service (after being 1.5 hours late OUTSIDE their service window). The tech was super friendly and efficient and took less than an hour for the whole service. Thoroughly pleased!

I follow up with customers on a daily basis and hear almost all great reviews about Fischer Plumbing.  It's only the people who are upset that are giving the bad comments. Here's our experience with Fisher Plumbing.  They were contracted to repipe our entire condominium complex on Magnolia - The Quarterdeck - a project that lasted over a year and a half (completed in April 2018).  During the end of the repiping  (April 2018) they needed access to the crawl space under our building which also included entering our storage area to get to the crawl space.   They left the door to the storage area UNLOCKED one day and I later found at least $2000 worth of items missing. There were only 2 companies working on the building that had keys  to the storage area during this time and I asked both of them about this incident. No one knew anything.  In addition to the piping of the building I had Fisher do some additional work in my bathroom which they were unable to complete at the time.  When I tried to reschedule for a future date my phone calls were not returned and apparently my messages were not forwarded.  Here I am 4 months later still with an unfinished bathroom because Fisher will not schedule to complete the job they started because they left a storage room unlocked and my items disappeared. I find their lack of response very unprofessional and I would not recommend  them for any work in the future. They offered to cut me a check for $2000 for what was taken out of my storage unit (I declined this offer) but they would not return any phone calls or reschedule to finish the work they started. I just wanted my items returned  -  no questions asked but they would rather cut me a check on the spot (again, I declined). If they had the keys to my storage unit and left it unlocked they are responsible.  Mike the project manager of the piping project admits he left if unlocked.

Steve and Jared from Fischer came to my condo to uninstall a hot water heater and a furnace (a specialized unit).  After the leaking sprinkler head above those two items was repaired, Steve and Jared returned today to reinstall the water heater and the furnace.  They did a stellar job. Steve kept me informed of every phase of the work, which I appreciated.  Both gentlemen are expert at what they do and today, everything is working perfectly.  Thank you Steve and Jared!  I would recommend them and Fischer without hesitation for heating, plumbing or restoration work. These people are unreasonably expensive for small projects! They charge a call fee (what it costs just to get them there) AND have a minimum time (the amount of time that will charge for no matter how long they are there for). My project took them less than ten minutes and they charged me $160. Maybe if you have a longer project they make sense, but for small and short projects, skip them.

We have used Fischer Plumbing on 2 occasions and both times the repairs were done in a timely manner with our budget in mind. They showed up to my house the first time and it was a simple job of cleaning out the P trap of my sink. Unlike some plumbers who charge a min rate of 300 no matter what they do, this guy only charged me $75, which I thought seemed reasonable. The 2nd time they came out they had to repair our pump, in a tight spot. The guy couldn't fit into the small space, so they promptly called another plumber out to finish the work. All in all, they fixed our issues fast and for reasonable prices. I will use them every time.

I wonder what happened with the other person who reviewed this company...  My experience was very different from hers.

We had an emergency sewer situation over the weekend a few months ago.  I first called Roto-rooter (that was a HUGE mistake) to come out.  They came out quite quickly but then said they couldn't do anything about it until Monday.  At this point, we were dumping some of the sewage into the street so it wouldn't flood the cellar.

We decided to call Fischer Plumbing.  They came to our house within about 30 minutes and diagnosed the problem which was very different from what Roto-rooter said it was.  This resulted in us getting a refund from roto-rooter because of their mistake.

Now, I am not sure if Fischer Plumbing was more expensive or not, I didn't get another quote, I just wanted my sewer fixed.  However, they were awesome enough to give us a temporary fix before they could get the official fix done (which was to tear up our concrete and fix some 100 year old piping).  The employees were all very nice, down to earth about questions with money, and worked with us as much as we needed them to.

The only reason it was 4 stars is because there was a snafu with billing.  It was quickly resolved, but it was still an issue that I had to deal with.

I had Fischer do some plumbing in my sink that I couldn't handle (re-working dishwasher drainage, putting in new disposal after getting new countertops).  The plumber came on time and was friendly and professional.  However, they definitely round up their time--so DO NOT waste time on polite small talk whatsoever.  If you can unhook and get the area prepped before they come, make sure to do that.  The plumber I had rounded up and basically charged me for an extra 30 minutes (since I was 3-4 minutes over the cutoff window), which was quite costly.  They also sent a bill, which I paid, then sent a second bill stating I owed more (no note, just new bill)--the reason was because THEY apparently had made a mistake in adding up parts in the first bill.  Totally annoying.

I chose Fischer over at least a half-dozen other plumbers (ones without glossy photos in the phone book) due to their hourly rate, location and capability. The job to be done was to unclog a sewer drain and they did that successfully. We received a lot of good information from the personable and experienced technician and ended up having him mark the line locations for a very reasonable additional fee. (Marking the lines was necessary in order to gather bids to replace the sewer lines). We ended up not going with Fischer for sewer line replacement due to cost, but they were second choice of the four bids we received (the top bid just couldn't be beat, and the job went very well).

I had Fischer come in because I had a leak in the wall from either my sink or my dishwasher.  I just don't know enough about this stuff to fight with it.  When it was said and done, they fixed a leak and installed a high dollar garbage disposal and faucet that I had sitting there.  I had bought the disposal and faucet, well it had been sitting there about a month waiting for me to attempt to install them.....

Well let the pros do what they do, and let me watch.  Seriously I am horrible at this stuff.  I agree with the no estimates thing people have said, I had no clue what it all cost until I got the bill in the mail.

Around 750 for a leak, and the install of faucet and disposal.  To me it was reasonable for the work they did and the speed in which they responded.  Had to cut into sheet rock and do the repair work of the pipe.
Could I have got it done cheaper?  Don't know. First time I have had a plumber that I was paying for.

What I am sure of, they got here quick and fixed my problem.

Not going to rate Fischer Plumbing today as used them in the past and they seemed reliable.  The Grohe $1,000 bathroom faucet that they installed less then a year ago failed last Wednesday when the nozzle just fell off - luckily under warranty.  They sent a plumber that afternoon and he said would have to be replaced as not fixable.  They would call me to schedule when it would be installed.  I heard nothing from them for three business days. So I called them today to ask the ETA on faucet.  Genevieve (I think that was the name she said) said they would call me when it arrived in warehouse to schedule the installation. I requested the estimated time that the warehouse was told the part would arrive as it as pretty common high end faucet and usually available by now.  She said she'd have to put me on hold again to find that out.  That was okay.  Genevieve came back and said warehouse person not available to answer the question of ETA to warehouse but they would call when it came it.  I asked her to please check over the next 24 hours with warehouse person to see when they expected it to arrive as it is the main bathroom faucet and very inconvenient not to have any idea when it might arrive.  Okay she'll call me but she said it really only been one day counting the weekend.  I explained actually 5 days counting the weekend and just trying to get an idea of what to expect for an installation. Not rating this plumbing service poorly if they do actually respond and try to get the part in but don't feel confident that Genevieve really wanted me to call and ask her anything - she will call me when she is ready.  I thought they usually wanted long term relationships with customers.  Will report back more about the outcome of this installation.

10/25/16. Genevieve never called back.  But today Terry with good news/bad news.  The bad news was Grohe stopped making my faucet and multiple distributors kept saying  they had one in stock and would send it then never did.  The good news was Terry said Fischer Plumbing would send me picture and stats the newer Grohe model and if I like it Fischer order it and get it installed ASAP.  What great news this is.  Of course I liked the replacement Grohe faucet and as soon as it arrives Terry will call to schedule the installation.  This is great customer service and I'll forget all about Genevieve once it is onstalled.  More to follow. Gone from one star to 4 stars.

Our heat nd hot water went out on Thursday, 1/3.  We called several plumbers and Fisher was the one that actually answered the phone and could get someone out next day.  The fellow who came to our house was prompt and polite.  Unfortunately,  a part needed to be ordered.  The part took several days to arrive -- not the company's fault.  When the part finally arrived, we were out of town and got the call  on our way home. Fisher initially said they could not get anyone out to actually install the darn thing for 4 days!  I admit I was very very irritated by that delay and that I perhaps displayed my irritation in a way I regret (ok, I was totally rude.)  I had previously given permission for the company to access my house when we were away, hoping we could return to a warm house.  I got another call about 6 hours later saying the job had been completed!  Yay.  We came home to a nice warm house and hot water.  Haven't seen the bill yet, so I cannot review the pricing.  But, despite some communication issues, I would recommend Fischer regardless.

I live in southern California and recently had a hot water tank fail at my triplex in Seattle.  A flooded basement and 3 apartments without hot water and I'm 1200 miles away!  Fischer Plumbing had installed the failed tank 11 years earlier, so I got with their estimator Seth by phone.  He responded quickly to check out the situation.  He was great at following my instructions to find the key for access, was able to track down the proper replacement tank and gave me an estimate.  I compared his price to two other companies and Fischer was right there at about the same numbers, however, the other companies were quoting tanks that were not an exact replacement, so I went ahead with Fischer.  The most important aspect for me was getting the job done ASAP and as busy as most contractors are in the Seattle area right now, I was concerned.  Fischer came through for me by getting it installed 3 days later, where as the other companies were quoting 4-6 days to get it done.  Fischer sent 2 plumbers for the job (very large commercial tank).  They communicated well with me during and after the work.  When I arrived in Seattle 2 weeks later, I found the job to be as satisfactory as had been described.  The tank area was clean with all old parts removed, and the site was locked and secured with keys back in place.  I felt lucky to have found a company that was trustworthy, did a good job, and charged exactly what they had quoted.  I would recommend Fischer Plumbing.

We started renting this home and many issues came up, the property management company sent David & Tom from Fischer Plumbing. Wow! They did a complete and professional job. We felt very comfortable having them in our home. It was a great experience, I highly recommend Fischer!

If you're thinking about using them, think again.

I wish I read other reviews before I used them. The plumber who did the work did a good job, and I knew the hourly rate before he got started. The work took longer than I anticipated, and I was even OK with that. What is NOT OK is that Fischer has a company policy not to use supplied owner parts. Consequently, they didn't use the parts I purchased, but their parts for which they charged about 4 times more than retail.

Parts are obviously a big profit center for the company. When I got the invoice, I saw that there was a flat fee for parts - i.e. no itemization of costs. I think the only reason they don't list the parts and prices is because the price gouging would be more noticeable and more people would complain.

Armando was prompt, clean, and quick. He identified the problems with our toilet (there were two issues) and had them fixed and tested in less than a half-hour. Friendly, clean, and professional. I will definitely call them next time we have plumbing issues.

We had a great experience with Fischer. We needed new toilets and Fisher Plumbing helped us find exactly what we were looking for. They came to our house and within an hour had replaced all three toilets. They were professional, quick, and friendly. We really appreciated how easy it was to communicate with them especially when it comes to the best and most practical items on the market right now. They are the best at what they do, a local company, and ultimately, they get the job done! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Tub install was botched by a rush job.  They didn't follow the manufacturer's recommendations and used the wrong sealant in the drain, leading to a leak.  They installed the faucet stem off center.  The broke a floor tile and didn't tell us.  The supporting ledger board was cut to fit the overflow and when I sat on the edge of the tub the ledger board broke and the tub was unsupported.  I had to fix the problem myself.

Finally, they overcharged us by an hour and we had to dispute the charges.

Careless and rushed are not the qualities of a good plumber.  I should have learned how to do  it myself.

Too bad, because they used to be a reliable company.

I called 3 different plumbing companies to provide a quote as my basement drain had backed up and was creating some water damage.   The first quote from Southwest Plumbing was for $8400 and was given within 15 minutes of assessing the situation -  they failed to pull up the city's map of the plumbing and made guesstimates that were technically wrong.    The second plumbing company,   Sewer Friendly,  was ok, but they didn't do their homework and even sent me an invoice for $250 when they failed to provide me any specific details as to what they did --  Fischer Plumbing showed up on time and provided a no BS summary of the issue, and even went as far to grab an image of the plumbing layout the city had a record of.   All work proposed was by the hour as opposed to a quote based upon assumptions and materials.    I am very pleased with Fischer Plumbing and would recommend them over ANY plumber in Seattle any day of the week.

I wish I had read previous reviews.  It was outrageously expensive!!!   I felt that Im being robbed!  They charged a flat service fee $75.00 just to come out to my condo, then $180.00 an hour for labor.  Is this even legal?  Why would you charge service fee when you charge $180 for labor?  It's ridiculous!!  I'll never hire them again.

Service has gone down while price has gone up over the years. They charged me $235 to tell me there was sediment in my faucet and it would be too expensive to fix. They told me to get a new faucet and they would install it, totaling around $1000. Called another plumber for second opinion. They were in and out in 20 minutes for only $130 with a fixed faucet. It gets worse. I called Fischer to tell them that and dispute their high fee for incompetence. They said a manager would call back. A week later, I'm still waiting for that manager to call back.

Plumbing work was done on time, efficiently, and at reasonable cost. Plumber gave me a choice whether to only fix a minor problem or attack the bigger problem...and explained the consequences well, so I really felt I understood the options. I appreciate that they bill Time and Materials rather than the inscrutable badge level choices: Platinum Gold Band-Aid, etc. that I have seen from other plumbing companies. Fischer will be my company of choice going forward.

I'm from Federal Way, WA Needed a water line ran for my new fridge. I liked how I called to ask about it and the lady was very friendly, saying they do that kind of job all the time and gave me a quote. I was satisfied with it and didn't bother to shop around. Dave, the plumber showed up... looked at the situation... kinda gave a worried face as if it would take more than 2 hours, saying $140 per hour, talking as if he didn't REALLY want to do it.... but he offered to cut the ceiling to see what he is working with, and overall did the job in just 1.5 hours! Thank God, because I REALLY didn't want to pay $500+.... Dave was quick, nice, even kind of funny! I also liked the fact they they bill you, instead of paying up front... Gives us time to test our fridge to make sure everything is working correctly. I will definitely use them again.

Fischer repaired our bathroom after we had water damage.  The project took over 7 months and billing was painful, but in the end we feel like we got a fair deal.  The people who did the actual construction work on the house were skilled and friendly.  The only work that was sub-pair was the tile work that was subcontracted to Great Floors (different issue).  In the end, I'm a pretty happy customer.  Only wish it didn't have to take so long.

I've used Fischer Plumbing several times over the past couple years for various home repairs, fixing leaky faucets and running toilets, replacing faucets, repairing a shower diverter. I've had 3 different plumbers respond to the calls  (Michael, Steve D, and Dave G.). In every case, the service (the work, the advice, etc.) has been top notch. I found Fischer after having used other companies whose work was bad--high charges, incomplete work and arguments from the owner. I'm staying with Fischer.

Great service, honest people and very friendly. I will recommend Berry (Fischer) to all you guys. The South West plumbing guy comes in and gives a quote for 1350 for the same problem and recommended that we change the Water heater after 15 seconds of  examination.
Berry, was honest, diligent in his diagnosis and told me what are all the probable causes and took a step by step approach to isolate the problem.
Luckily, his first hunch of a busted thermocouple seemed to be the issues and he fixed it within 20 mins. Also, gave me honest feedback on the the lifetime of a water heater and what are my options once its past its lifetime.
Also, I should say that the staff on the phone are very friendly and prompt. Berry was here withing the hour as mentioned -- so very punctual and reliable people.
I saved more than 1000 dollars by choosing Fischer plumbing over South West Plumbing.

I was helping a single mother out pay for a clog kitchen drain and to replace a kitchen faucet with a broken valve handle.  She heard from a co-worker who used Fischer Plumbing and she called, they sent out worker to clear the drain and charged $214.50 which included cost for wear on the power snake and she asked for the faucet to be replaced at the same time but the worker said they have to send out a different crew to replace the faucet but they won't charge the initial coming to look at the problem price again, they came out a week later to remove and replace the kitchen faucet which involve shutting the water supply at the base and removing water supply line and couple of nut and washers to remove the old faucet and the reverse process to install for a fee of $247.42.  This installation fee was a bit outrageous.  I would not hire these people if they have to send out two different crew to do a plumbers job.  I really wouldn't give any stars for the outrageous price for installing a kitchen faucet.

WOW, these folks are awesome.  Called a little after 9 for help (not emergent to save money) and they called back in less than a half hour to say they'd have someone there in 45 min.  Raced home from work and they were there in LESS than 45 min!!! Then had it completely fixed and ready to go lickity split - and I'd been fighting the clogged toilet for two DAYS.  Nice people from the woman that answered the phone to the guy that showed up to save the day.  I haven't gotten the bill yet (they actually bill you!) but I'm very impressed.

My sewer was backed up and I called Fischer plumbing.  Isaac came on time and was polite, professional and knowledgeable.  In the process of unglogging the sewer line, he discovered that someone had stuck 10 tick terrycloth rags in the line when they had broken in and vandalized my home.   He was able to unclogged the drain and get everything back in order.  I did not feel overcharged and was very grateful I had called Fischer plumbing.  They will be my first call from now on when I have plumbing issues!

I have had two excellent experiences with Fischer Plumbing. Last year (2011) I had a problem with an old pipe w/ a slow leak (old house). Since the wall was open anyway, I took the opportunity to redo the plumbing from the upstairs to the downstairs. I got several bids (and several solutions), and Fischer Plumbing came up with the ONLY creative solution that made any sense. (Other companies suggested I run pipes through the attic, etc.) They also installed shut-off valves for the toilet and the faucets (claw-foot tub), which were not there before and have already come in handy.

They did a fantastic job with that repiping and replacing an old cement washtub downstairs.

I just called them again last week about a leaky toilet (mine was ancient) and Michael replaced it with a brand-new one he had on his truck. It's so great--wish I had done it a decade ago.

The plumbers themselves have been smart/courteous/friendly and both experiences were the best they could possibly be.

I didn't search on Yelp for reviews of Fischer plumbing before using them, but sure wish I had. The common thread is that they are not honest in their charging practices, and unfortunately on top of that, they don't provide very good service.
This review is in relation to charge that was incurred for a Sunday night basement flooding.
We wanted someone to come out and assess the problem (we thought it was an overflowed washing machine) and possibly clean up the water on the floor so as not to damage anything else further.  The woman on the phone dispatching said the service call alone would be $75 without any services performed. Since it was a weekend and at night this seemed reasonable.

When the technician came out, he looked at the water and without doing any actual work agreed with our determination that it was the washing machine that had overflowed. However, he said that they don't clean up water/damage, and left a paper receipt with no name and no total for services rendered.

A week or so later, we received a bill in the mail, with no further detail on services performed (which were NONE), but the amount of $75 was printed, and scratched out, then the total owed written at the bottom was $275.00.

What exactly were we charged for? This was not indicated on the receipt provided by the technician and is significant for literally 5 minutes of time he spent at our home.

We called Fischer and told them we didn't agree with the charge and received only a voice mail box. We received one phone call attempting to return our call, but it was phone tag war as no one ever actually answered the phone at the customer service line. In general I completely disagree with the way they quote and the lack of genuine customer service.

Avoid these guys at all cost. They will just rip you off. I had a repair of my expansion tank and they charged me 700+ and it broke after a few months. I called another Plumbing company and they replaced it with a brand new one and charged me 400 even. I had used them a couple of times and I'll have to conclude that giving them one star is overrated! They charge by hours and you also have to pay their mistakes on the job. So a small job can drag and cost you!

I came home from a trip with a hot water heater not working.  A grandbaby on the way and a hubby in the hospital!  I called and they sent out David the same day (a Friday). He replaced the hot water heater the same day and it is working with no problems. I mentioned that the toilet upstairs had a leak.  He spoke to my husband on the phone, identified the part, and while waiting for the hot water heater to arrive from the warehouse, he fixed the toilet and only charged me for the part.  That is good service and attitude in my book. From my recent experience, I would hightly recommend Fischer Plumbing.

The previous owners of my house used Fischer for a boiler and tank install.   Needing service on the tank once in a while I would call Fischer, and I would call, and I would wait, and I would call, and finally catch my account manager to get service.  I then did a pretty big plumbing project, and Fisher performed well and on time, and I was very happy with my kitchen replumb.   This last go round (2 weeks ago, needing boiler help again): I called, and waited, and I called and waited...and you guessed it, still waiting.  I get the hint finally, 'it's not you...it's me'.   If you want to babysit a contractor or company and spend a lot of time with follow up and calling them back, go with this company, if not - move along.  I have found a much more responsive company  to help me along the tricky world of home heating and plumbing.

Hello again, please read my other posts if you are considering using this company, but I found out something hilarious given the accusations the owner made about my initial review (see 8/7/2009).  He accused me of being his competition out to smear Fischer's good name (HA)!  Well, after having plumbing done on my basement shower by a guy I found out was a former employee, we had a brief conversation about Fischer, and he informed me that the pic used by the owner on Yelp is not actually the owner, but some guy working there who is 50 pounds lighter, meaning it should be quite obvious to anyone who actually met the guy!  He also never offered me a full refund as claimed in his response from last winter, just thought I'd clear that up, just said let's talk about it.   Shady-est company I can think of, give them a call if you want residual issues and headaches, probably wouldn't hurt to have their work looked at by a professional if you have used them in the past.

We had a leak in our underground water pipe coming in to the house and were without water until it could get fixed. We dug it up and located the leak and then contacted Fischer Plumbing. They replace a 2 foot length of pipe and finished up in about an hour. That was all fine until the bill came. Labor was 140 an hour and the 2 ft of pipe and a couple of fittings cost 130+. I think they take advantage of people who need their services quickly.

this used to be a great company, but the owner sold a few years ago and now they behave like liars and thieves.  someone who had been coming to my house for years to clear roots from my pipes with a blade--someone i thought i could trust--sold me a $1500 water jet for the roots, saying it would take care of things for 3 years.  that was already poor math as i would normally spend only $500 in 3 years having them do it with a blade but i was standing in sewage and not thinking clearly.  so i paid it, and 5 months later had another sewage back-up disaster.  plumbers with integrity have since told me water jets are not only useless for roots, they often damage the pipes irreparably.  i have also since learned that they are paid commission for anything they sell.  don't get near this unethical company.  you'll lose money, time, and maybe your pipes.

Needed plumbing assistance for a panel shower.  The guy ended up coming into the house without any tools and needed my husband's assistance to get it off the wall.  While doing so, he lost a screw and he couldn't fix the problem.  Said that the valve was irreplaceable and all the while when he needed a simple screw driver, he asked my husband to fetch his own!  What kind of service asks the owners to get their own tools?  Plain lazy!  He had a huge truck sitting outside our house.  I'm sure it had some in there.  Will never do business with them again and to charge us $218 for it!  Are you kidding me?  Nothing is fixed!

I absolutely agree with the other two one star reviews.  We had a terrible experience last year.  After several months of plumbing and repair to fix water damage from an upstairs unit we had to have our ceiling opened again.  I suppose that could have happened with any company but the way the owner of Fischer tried to say that the noise that the pipe was making would just go away - unbelievable.

Shady company, shady workers.
Their quality of work was satisfactory, BUT:
1 - (as mentioned numerous times her by others) they came out and gave me a price between $800-$1200, but the bill arrived in the mail and it was $2200.
2 - One of the workers (allegedly) stoled from us, took 'pot treats' from the freezer.  I hope they drug test.  I thought about calling to let them know, but I know they would deny it.
3 - The rep. who came to do the estimate made promises he didn't keep.  Told me I'd have the estimate that afternoon, Tuesday.  I had to call and call to get the estimate by the weekend.  He finally emailed it to me at 4:57pm on Friday.  Called Monday to set up the work for that week per the rep. who said they could do the work at that time.  I found when I called, he was on vacation all week, obviously leaving on Friday afternoon, and they would not be able to come do the work for weeks out.
4 - Had to call them back to fix an error they created with a water pipe.

I have more work they are supposed to come back to complete, but I'll not have them return.  I don't like thieves in my house (the pot treats and the double sized bill).

Watch out!

This company's owner will not take any accountability for their mistakes and will leave you stranded with their mess! What should have been a standard procedure was mishandled and now, the house is inhabitable for 3-4 weeks during construction.

We called Fischer yesterday to have them come fix some backup drainage problems. The wrong thing was fixed and when drainage started to occur, it went in the house instead of out and it exploded in the top level with black water flooding the floors, walls, ceiling and draining down through the ceiling to the dining room. This should not have happened. The guy that came to assist really tried to help us out after the mistake had been made and sewage had infiltrated all three levels of the house and was running out of the house down the drive. The first guy called a clean-up crew, took responsibility and we felt taken care of (even though we were now in a huge predicament). His boss (Daryl) called back and said we were on our own and Fischer was done with their part. He took no responsibility for the fact that if the problem had been properly examined and diagnosed, we would not have to be tearing out our walls, ceilings, floors, etc. He said Fischer was no longer involved and left us to fend for ourselves. When I called back and left a message on their emergency line, telling them I needed to hear back from someone ASAP to even know what to do next....I didn't even get a return call!

So, we called our insurance company and the Better Business Bureau to report what had happened. We are honest people that were very calm during the whole experience until the boss guy called to tell us he would not be dealing with the situation. We were screwed by Fischer and we will be sure to write reviews to protect everyone from the same mistakes. Had they just stepped up and dealt with the problem, we would have been understanding, but they left us high and dry.

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT CALLING FISCHER if you want to deal with a company that has integrity in their leadership. When you make a mistake, you fix it and make it right. The owner/manager wanted to wash his hands of the problem as quickly as possible.

Do Not Use Fischer Plumbing. *Update:  the company has agreed to void my invoice* The kindest way I can spin my experience is to call it a mammoth communication  problem, but I also see this as SCAM artistry. I'd asked for someone to consolidate my 2-sink plumbing down to plumbing for one sink. The nice guy showed up promptly & politely removed his shoes, took a look at my bathroom wall and said I don't know what's behind there...I don't have the tools I'd need for this job with me.....I am not an estimator, but I'm thinking this looks like a 2-plumber job that will take the better part of the day.   I said no thank you, I'll deal with this some other way.  He went out to the truck then came back to my door a few minutes later, saying the office wanted him to get started on it anyway.
Did he actually think I'd allow him to start a job he didn't have tools for, didn't think he could do on his own, and wasn't sure how long it would take?  I said no thank you again; the next day I get a bill for $125.
BTW, the guy I did hire got the job done on his own in about 90 minutes.  And his estimate was no charge and no pressure.

Quality work, done quickly.  They want to do the work the correct way and this can be more expensive then someone willing to do it on the cheap.  But, if your going to do it, might as well do it right.  two things that i found.  It was difficult to get a precise quote before the work was being done.  Example, they said at least $1,000 and ended up being $1600.   And, they don't give you an itemized bill for work done, just a total.  I called in to see if I could get an itemization and found that they had overcharged me.  They quickly found the mistake and changed it but If I hadn't called, there really wouldn't be anyway to know I was overbilled.  An honest mistake but something to watch for.

Really split on this vendor - good thing was they got the job done, bad news $$$$$$, no detail in the invoice about the work performed, billing sent to the wrong address for months, by then no one could remember exactly why a fairly simple job cost $900.  Find a good plumber for less than $120/hr that will return calls and run a tight office and you will be happier.

Our side sewer needed to be cleaned. Issac from Fischer said it was too clogged for him to work on and we would need to dig up the line. Quite frankly - I think when he realized how long our sewer line was he got lazy and didn't bother trying. We called another company who was able to clear the blockage with out a problem. Of course we still got a bill from Fischer...

After calling several other plumbing services that were unable to see me today, Fischer Plumbing did not hesitate to offer me a 2-4pm window.  I received a call near the end of the window telling me the tech was on his way.  Technician Mike Davidson arrived at 4:10.  He was pleasant and professional and had the job done (a tub clog causing my dishwasher water to collect in my tub) within 10 minutes.  He answered my questions easily and in a friendly manner and did not try to sell me any other services I didn't need.    The total bill was $120 ($75 for a service call, plus $35/hour plus tax) which I think is very reasonable.  I would not hesitate to call this company again.

I have to say I am amazed that anyone would rate this plumbing company - anything but the best.  I must have hit the gold standard with the plumber they sent.  In fact this project required the need for a plumber twice, so I called back and asked specifically for Dennis Goad - I doubt there is anything he doesn't know - or cannot do.  He fixed absolutely every single plumbing issue I had that was on the list and believe me there were many - it was an older building with one main water shut off.  By far and away the best plumber I have ever worked with - and I have worked with many.   In one day - he adjusted, replaced and corrected a maze of items - and the fee was incredibly low - he was there almost 8 hours - and the bill was beyond reasonable.

Their website says Everett and surrounding communities yet they said they couldn't come out to Marysville because it was to far. I think the workers just did not want to do anything. I have seen their vehicle in my neighborhood so they just didn't want to work. They say they do 24 hour emergency but you better call when they feel like working because if they don't then call someone else. If they lie about coming out than how much do they lie when it comes to your bill!!!!

If you are having plumbing problems, I highly recommend these guys.  I have used them 3 times now for different issues.  One involved a clogged drain in our laundry room which Isaac jetted out.  He was so patient and informative when he explained what was going on and how our pipes were set up.  The other issue involved some plumbing/water pressure leading in to our dishwasher.  Dan came and rebuilt the plumbing and everything now works great.  My experience with Fischer has been stellar, from booking the appointment, they are punctual, friendly and totally know what they are doing.

Santa Armando came early to our home!  Nothing like a hot shower after having the water off for 12 hours. He was so kind and did not mind that he was having to work so early on Christmas Eve.  He came faster than we thought possible! He  worked in an unusually tight spot and fixed the problem with our toilet by feel alone (no visibility as the tank was tucked under a shelf!)  We can not thank him enough!!

I had another plumber come to fix a problem we had with our water pressure on a multi head Grohe shower controller.  We were told at that time that he would have to order some parts for hundred dollars or so.  We never heard back.  We called Fischer, the plumber was early, was very polite and had it fixed within the hour.  He had worked on Grohe fixtures before and knew exactly what the problem was.  Would use them again.

Not very professional and I would not recommend.   The guy came out to look but never send me the quote.  The $2k job went to their competitor.

We had an obvious leak in our tank.  When we called to schedule service and described the problem, the person taking the call sounded like it was a straight forward problem.  The repair man came without the proper replacement tank -- we had to wait (and get charged!) for another van to come with the right tank, almost doubling the repair cost.  Never again!

Time is money.  My technician's cigarette and phone call break cost me $30.00.  Complaining about the 250% markup on parts probably cost me another $30.00.  Flat rate is much more fair than time and materials.

It's tempting to go with them because they answer their phone (instead of having to wait for a call back) and tell you when they'll send someone out, but what happened for us was the plumber showed up, told me we needed to order a shower kit because it needed to be replaced instead of repaired, talked to me for a minute or two, and left.  Our bill was over $120.  There was no indication this would be so expensive.  $75 service call fee and '$35 of labor' for that.

10 years ago, we hired Fischer based on their positive reviews and availability for same day services.  It ended that we (our neighbors and our family) needed to replace our old sewage line from our property lines into the street.  We were charged $6,000.00 for a clean out that was never marked, buried (which they claimed they HAD to - which in talking to other companies may not be true), nor did they provide us with documentation of location - which would have saved us a lot of time and money had we had this information!  Fast-forward 10 years, we have to spend another $6,000. 00 to repair THE CLEAN-OUT that was incorrectly installed, unmarked, and now is overgrown by roots, in addition to a gas line that was damaged due to the search of the clean-out.   When contacted, Fischer reported that they are required by law to shred all paperwork in 5 years (as a healthcare professional, I highly doubt this is the truth).  Not only was Fischer not helpful trying to locate our old files, but now I know that their work is shoddy at best.  Sadly, we will not be using Fischer again.

We used this company to get our water heater fixed.  The first guy they sent looked through the heater and couldn't find anything specifically wrong with it (keep in mind that they are charging us $150/hr) so he said that he'll order a part the might be able to fix the problem (the problem was that we weren't getting enough hot water).  Anyway, the guy left and we got a bill of $250 in a week.  They then sent another guy for the follow up visit and to install the part who spent another hour or so re-diagnosing the problem that the first guy had supposedly already figured out, installed the part ordered and billed us another $450 a week later on top of the initial bill.  Our total bill for labor hours was around $600 because they didn't send the same plumber for the installation so we had to pay for the new guy to relearn the issue with our water heater.  The owner is extremely rude and was fighting with us over the phone when we tried shared our concern.  They even charged us for an additional hour that they didn't even work and we had to pay for that as the owner wouldn't budge.  DON'T go with these people; they are a rip off and a complete waste of time.  Be very aware of what you are getting into!!

We recently moved into our home and whenever we ran the washing machine, water appeared on the floor. We'd had another company come out and snaked the drain and ultimately pointed to the sewer main as the issue. We know that it will need to be replaced in the future but our understanding was 5-10 years. So we called Fischer for a second opinion. The technician was great and took a lot of effort to diagnose the root cause of the washing machine issue (and reiterated the 5-10 year horizon for the main). Fischer recommended a solution and we paid for the work but it unfortunately did not work. They sent a team back out to re-do and ultimately to point us toward a new solution. I was worried that there would be a lot of negotiation in the bill but was beyond pleased to see that we were only billed for the work against the initial reco and not the time spent to re-do resulting from their incorrect guidance. I felt that this was a fair outcome and they ultimately covered 4-6 hrs of labor (x2 guys).
