Kyle and his crew were quick to respond to my thermostat emergency. I was in a hurry to attend a work meeting and upon calling Kyle was great in giving his opinion on my next steps. Communicating with him was easy and we came to a resolution quickly.

His crew was able to come in and trouble shoot the problem quickly from the botched job the previous technician left a few days prior. They were very respectful of my space and got the problem fixed within the hour. Before leaving they tested everything to make sure it worked well so that I could have a piece of mind.

Highly recommend for the reasonable price

I contacted CES asking for a quote for a problem. Kyle quoted me estimates and also asked me for my number. He called and we discussed the problem. He mentioned a few causes and ways to fix them. As it turns out one of his suspicions was true and I just had to fix one small thing to take care of the whole issue! Really appreciate him taking time to make that call!

I have been holding off of this review but after interacting with other contractors and companies I've since realized how badly CES treated us. I hired CES to replace a hard to reach socket behind my fridge, and when they pulled out my fridge the electrician damaged my hardwood floors. The electrician actually took a picture of the hardwood floors and sent it to Kyle but then didn't tell us that he had damaged our floors. Once we realized and reached out to Kyle, he spent days denying that they had done anything wrong and claimed that my husband had damaged our floors. I had a good experience so far with CES even with some hiccups regarding having the right fixtures on site, and would have been happy if they just owned up to it and gave us a discount or pointed us to some help in repairing our floors but instead Kyle just kept denying what had happened. We ended getting $100 off of our $1000 service, which was accounted as taking out the time it took for the electrician to go to Home Depot twice in the same day to get fixtures that they didn't realize they needed until the day of.

My husband also left a review and you can see Kyle still denies that his employee did anything wrong.

Meanwhile I've since been using another company for electrical work a they have been extremely responsible in fixing things that they've damaged accidentally and been much more communicative with be before the day of the job to figure out what we need to buy.

We purchased a home earlier this year and have been managing a most-of-home remodel over the summer. We went with Kyle and Comprehensive after getting bids from four different electrical outfits. Everything about our experience with Kyle and all of their employees has been top rate. You'd be lucky to get on their schedule! I want to break down the experience in 2 parts for those considering them right now: bidding and the work itself.

Bid process - Kyle came out and walked through the site. He and CES were one of only two electrical outfits willing to bid on both electrical work on the circuit as well as more specialty projects (we were seeking bids for in ceiling speakers for music on our main floor and a theater in the basement). Kyle was very involved in helping recommend how to approach the work, steer us away from ideas we had that were unnecessary, and suggest ideas we hadn't considered that greatly improved our final plans. Most importantly for some, the final bid came in highly competitive with the three other groups we talked to. Apples to apples all bids were very similar in cost on most items, but other outfits had at least one item where they were clearly gouging to get a good margin (one group bid 2k higher than the others on a panel upgrade, another charged 50% more for basic outlet swap outs). Comprehensive was consistent and fair across the board.

The work itself - Kyle was incredibly flexible in terms of scheduling his team. We were upgrading our electrical panel, and they came out ahead of everything else to knock it out early. We added an AC from and HVAC company, and the HVAC failed to schedule an electrician for the circuit in a timely manner, but Comprehensive bailed us out during the hottest week in Seattle history by coming out and fitting it in during their busy schedule and at market price! The rest of the work and team has been top notch. I was on site every day to talk through what was going on, and the entire CES team (Andrew was our lead on site) were professional and helpful in steering us into the best decisions possible as the conditions on the ground evolved. We had plenty of edits and additions we opted for, and they were always happy to make it happen and work it out at a consistently competitive price. The quality was top notch as well. You're dealing with real pros who take pride in their work, and it will show every time.

I had an interesting issue that I needed help with and CES went above and beyond in their service.  

In short, the Seattle City Light powerline started to lean in the opposite direction from my townhome which caused the connection to my house to star pulling away.  It could have been a very dangerous situation on a busy street with live wires detaching from my house.  The city doesn't have responsibility for the connection to my house despite the fact their poles are leaning and pulling it away AND it would be their live wires flopping around.  

I called around and electricians told me to hire a general contractor/laborer to secure it back to the house, while contractor types told me to hire an electrician.  Basically, nobody seemed to want to help me.  The few who did offer quoted me at a ridiculous rate and justified it by telling me they needed to rent bucket trucks, etc.  

When I finally came across CES (through Yelp) Kyle jumped at the problem and send some guys to diagnose the problem.  Unfortunately they couldn't complete the job that day b/c the line is too taught and they needed the SCL crew to come out to loosen it.  Kyle continued to coordinate with me and be patient as we figured out a day for SCL to come out (over a month later).  Ethan on his team sent texts, pictures, and relayed a ton of great information to help guide me through the steps.  He even submitted his own work order through the city for the job.  

CES is extremely responsive, patient, and went above and beyond in my opinion.  Highly recommend.

I am so happy I found Comprehensive Electrical Services. We had a really difficult time getting other companies to show up for scheduled appointments. When I called Kyle, he spent 15 minutes talking to me and discussing our issues and possible solutions. He got us on the schedule for two days later. Andrew came out and was very thorough and helpful. Highly recommend!

Kyle was efficient and professional with his estimate. He was very easy to work with throughout the process. His team did excellent work and went above and beyond the scope of the project we agreed on. We could not have been happier with their electrician's work. They took care of our project and left the site in a very clean state.

Stay away from this business and from Kyle Kern, the owner.

We hired CES to do some simple repairs at home a few days ago. One of the repairs that needed to be conducted was fixing the fridge outlet. Since the outlet is behind the fridge, the fridge had to be pulled out of its place. In the process of doing so, the electrician damaged our wooden floor, which got a pretty awful scar that Kyle does not want to be responsible for.

When Kyle and I talked over the phone to clarify this (I only noticed the scratch after the electrician left), he insisted that his employee had gotten help from me when pulling the fridge out, and since the scratch was on my side, then it was my fault.

The above is categorically false. His electrician pulled the fridge out 90% and only at the very end he needed help because the fridge was slightly crooked and he couldn't get it back into a squared position without help. Moreover, I very vividly remember that I offered his electrician help with the fridge plenty of times, but he kept rejecting it up until that last moment, when the damage was already done.

I also want to note that his employee told Kyle that he had noticed the scratch, only that he decided to not tell me. Really, Kyle? Your employee notices that the floor's been screwed up because I'm supposedly mishandling the fridge and he decides to say nothing? Why? So that I can keep scratching the floor even more? Moreover, he told you and you also said nothing to us? Allow me to question that story.

During my conversation with Kyle he also changed the account of events as I pointed out something that did not make sense. Since Kyle was insisting that I had caused the damage when pulling the fridge out, I suggested that his employee might have caused it when pushing the fridge back in. Kyle said that according to his employee he had noticed the scratch before pushing the fridge back in. This is of course to still blame the scratch on me. But, how could he notice the scratch on the floor before pushing the fridge back in, if the fridge was on top of the scratch, covering it? When I pointed this out Kyle changed his version of the story to say that in reality his employee noticed the scratch after the fridge was pushed back in.

It is also worth noting that the electrician made some other mistakes that added up to one extra hour of time.

The first mistake was that he realized we had not bought the right materials for the repairs that needed to be done, so he had to make an extra trip to Home Depot. Fair enough, since this was our mistake. His rather silly but expensive mistake was that when he came back he didn't have a way to contact us to get the door opened for him. There was some issue with the callbox and it took him 20 minutes -yes, 20 minutes- to call our phone number to open the door for him (which Kyle ended up doing, not his employee). Why did this person not have a direct way to contact us right away?

The second mistake that he made was that, as it turns out, he had not checked all the things that he should have before heading over to Home Depot. One of the outlets that he had to replace was partially burned (which they should've known since we had an emergency service come over literally 2 days before that to check that very problem). Even if this electrician didn't know, just to be safe since you're already going to Home Depot, he should've checked all the things that needed to be done. Since this outlet was partially burned it had caused damage to the fridge plug that goes in it, so the plug had to be replaced. This of course made him go to Home Depot again, for an extra of 40 more minutes. So, to summarize, he had to go to Home Depot twice, just because he did not do his due diligence and did not check all the things he should have.

The fact that Kyle is showing such blind trust for this employee, who didn't tell us about the scratch and who made two mistakes that amounted to one extra full hour of service is appalling and can hardly be justified.

I used Kyle's services for the installation of a couple of lights.  Kyle was quick to communicate whenever I had questions and I was able to get the project scheduled quickly.  The team was on time and did fast, high-quality work. I would definitely use Comprehensive's services again.

I needed an electrician to install an outdoor outlet. I found one in Comprehensive Electrical. They were fast, professional and fair.

Kyle responded in a very timely manner to my inquiry to add 2 outdoor and 3 indoor sockets, a new circuit in my bathroom into a tiled wall, and a new motion activated outdoor carport light.  We set an appointment for him to come and look at the job site (my home) and he came exactly when he said he would.  He gave me a clear quote and was able to add additional things as I asked, and again provide clear info on the additional costs involved.  He was able to schedule the work I requested within two weeks, and the job was completed at that time.  The job was done properly, and the workers were even able to do a clean, minimally invasive job in my tiled bathroom that involved taking off the absolute minimum number of tiles.  I would certainly recommend Kyle and CES, and would use them again.

Wow!  The two men from CE Services magically arrived exactly when expected.  They were Covid-safe, and super efficient and effective at tackling my three electrical issues.  Aiden and Ethan were also very good humored, considering that it was another day of 'liquid sunshine' here in Puget Sound, and my condo unit is not exactly the closest one to the parking lot.  CES folks deserve those 5 stars!

I was very impressed with the quality service, honesty, responsiveness and professionalism of this locally owned electrician business. The owner Kyle contacted me soon after I requested a quote via Yelp for an electric heater issue. Despite a busy schedule, he made time to come give me an estimate for my small project within a day or two and clearly explained all my options. He was upfront about pricing and also fit me into their schedule on short notice as the work I needed was time sensitive. His employees Ethan and Aiden arrived right on time, worked efficiently and were courteous and knowledgeable. I am very happy with the outcome and highly recommend using this company for your electrician needs!!

The two guys who did my install were professional, and they did a good job - although they left extra chain and (non-electrical) wire on the fixture, which should have been removed.  Unfortunately, there is a discrepancy about the pricing between me/my assistant and the owner, and the price I was charged left me feeling taken advantage of.

CES was doing an install for a fixture I purchased at a major Lamp store (Plus more).  I needed an additional fixture installed at the same time, and was told it would be easy to add that on - which made perfect sense, and I was given a worse case quote for the additional fixture.

The Lamp store fixture went up in 15-minutes (I'm in a brand new house so everything is accessible and wires are great), and the add-on install took about 20-minutes total (mostly adjusting height and angle).  Given that the installers were already at my house for the original install, already had the ladder out, etc., I expected to be charged a modest fee for the additional fixture - with a small add-on because the ceilings are higher than normal (19').  After work was complete I received an invoice for the full worst-case quote - which was almost DOUBLE the cost to install the original fixture, even though they did not incur any additional cost to get to my house, no additional equipment was needed, etc. - it was essentially an extra half hour for two installers.  

I'm disappointed because everyone I worked with was professional, and were it not for the billing issue - or had the owner offered some sort of solution - I would not only have recommended them to my neighbors but hired them again for an electrical upgrade and installation of heaters in my basement; instead I was left feeling as if I'd been taken advantage of.

Kyle was fast, accurate, and reasonable.  His quote was lower than the competitors his crew was on time and very accommodating and courteous.  They installed recessed lighting in our master and we could not be happier.  We will definitely use Comprehensive Electrical again.  Thank you!

Kyle responded quickly to my Yelp request for quotes to replace 5 sets of lights at my home in Kirkland. I liked that he asked me to call him and over the phone took all the details and seemed very professional and on top of things. Others who responded wanted to send someone out to my home to provide a quote - but it was a fairly straightforward job in that it was replacing 5 sets of lights - not a complicated job that might require someone to come take a look. I also wanted it done asap - Kyle was able to accomodate me and gave me a quote that seemed fair. He checked the night before his technicians were coming to see that all my new lights had arrived and said his guys would be there between 7:30 and 8am. They were exactly on time - both Scott and Jordan - were masked, polite, efficient and tidy - they gave me their opinion when I asked them about the height of the lights and they were done within 90 minutes of arriving.   I loved the work they did and am very happy with CES and would definitely use them again!

Buyer be warned - This business owner does not hold himself or his employees to a high standard of professionalism or customer service. His employees did not complete assigned electrical work and left the work area covered with debris. When owner sent another crew out to fix it, these employees sweared at my other subcontractors working on the job site that day. Owner refused to apologize for any of these errors and was surly and nasty when said issues were addressed. Lots of people can do electrical work for your project, find a company that will do so without interpersonal problems.

Was quoted for a ceiling fan install, and no joke, the job was completed in less than 24 hours from when I placed the call. I didn't have to wait weeks for someone to drive out for a quote. Or have to pay a dispatch fee for someone just to come out and take a look (avoid seatown electric). Kyle explained everything to me over the phone, was very knowledgeable, and price was very competitive with other providers I received quotes from. Let me know if there might be an additional cost ahead of time, but turns out we didn't need it for this project. This will be the first company I call for electric work going forward.

Everybody who works for CES was knowledgeable and professional, they're very quick at what they did, saving me time and money on my electrical project, if you ever need an electrician to work on any project big or small give them a call. The owner's name is Kyle and was very quick to respond to any of my questions, no mater what situation I would throw at him he would have a solution. There prices are very responsible, and he worked with me to fit me into his schedule when other companies wouldn't even return my calls at times. These guys are the best!! Extremely knowledgeable, reliable, and great to work with! They came in and fixed a botched electrical job an ex-contractor had done and did an amazing job! I called Kyle today because a number of outlets in our kitchen were not working. He told me a couple of things to try but I requested a service call anyway and he agreed to send someone today. After our call, I had a follow on idea from what he told me and it fixed the problem. I called to cancel the service call and he was really nice.
