I had a good experience with this company in March when I had a Cadet heater installed. In October, I hired them again to install two more heaters, but the price was several hundred dollars more. It turned out they charged me retail price for the heaters instead of the discount price I paid before. So my bill was around $300 more than I expected.

Baker always comes to the rescue!  They have scheduled me in on the day I call with my electrical problems.  Mike is so pleasant to have in our home.  This is the 3rd time I have had them come out.

Upcharge of 228% on parts will be smug about it when you ask - part cost $11.36 charged me $24.99, cost them 57.50 billed $131.52 - stated it was a 120% markup (wrong). Didn't inform me that their rates increase $10 an hour until the bill arrived on the third job over 10 months.  

I could get the parts for half of what's billed (at Lowes).  The exact parts.

Do your homework before selecting a home repair technician!

I had this company come out to give me an estimate for electical work.  We had tried a few things and basically knew what the problem was.  It was a big job that we just don't have time to do ourselves.  Baker came and was here for 15-20 minutes and left.  Electrician said he would work on an estimate and send it to me. I received a bill for the electricians time. Then Baker referred to another company because they say the other company has better equipment to make the repairs.  Baker still charged me for their electrician coming out.  He did not do anything and they are not giving me an estimate! Why are they charging me?  Now I have to start all over with a new company.  A lot of wasted time and money.  I saw the previous bad reviews on Yelp, should have skipped over this company and called someone else.

We had Baker Electric do some work for us sometime back but after after a while things started not working including a breaker that they installed. We have contacted them a number of times but they never returned our calls and basically  ghosted us.

Unprofessional and a waste of time and money. They took advantage of my elderly parents. They came out to troubleshoot and charged my parents over $600 and did not fix a thing. Told my parent's they the main meter needed to be replaced. I asked another electrician to come out so I can get a second opinion and they not only found the issue they did not charge an arm and a leg.

I've contacted this guy twice about two different electrical jobs I needed done at my house. I called him the first time and I messaged him through his website the second time. Never received a response either time. I'm told that electricians or anyone in similar trades who are constantly busy feel they they don't need to answer inquiries because they already have plenty of business. Well, this guy may be good but there were other electrical contractors who answered me and I'll hire one of them to do the work for me.

I only gave this company 1 star because the electrician showed up! There was no communication between the electrician and myself about what was wrong with the lights, no estimates were given and no invoice describing what the problem is with an estimate was left with me. I was told to contact the company office for information. I called Baker Electric throughout the day for 4 business days trying to get the invoice information to...at the very least...pay them so that I can move on to a customer service based company. If you don't have time to delay on your projects, or if you would prefer to know what's going on every step of the way (understanding and cost),I firmly suggest you not waste your time with this company!

We have used Baker Electric many times and we are always extremely happy with them. Prices are fair, office is super efficient and friendly and workmanship is always thorough and effective. We would not go anywhere else.

After purchasing 9 electrical outlet's and a bathroom fan, I did not have the time to install these items.  Called Baker Electric and scheduled an appointment.  Though the service was adequate, the cost was excessive.  I was billed for 3 hours at an hourly rate of $135 an hour.  The total cost was around $450 to install items provided.  Called the front office thinking it was a typo.  The person on the phone was polite and informed me that it was not a typo.  At $135 an hour, I would be polite too!
