We've been using CM Heating for a few years.  We used to use whoever had a Groupon going but after contacting CM, we haven't needed to scrounge for a coupon.  They are a good value, professional and reliable.  One instance, we utilized our home warranty to fix (what we thought) was a bad thermostat.  They sent Sears Home Services.  After 2 trips they said they could no longer fix the issue after giving me a few guesses of what the issue was.  Thermostat, nope.  AC control board, nope (CM told me it doesn't exist).  They finally gave up.  CM heating came in and fix the issue in one visit.  They are my go to for anything furnace/AC related.

Our heat pump suddenly stopped working so I called CM Heating to come diagnose the problem. The tech told me our compressor was broken and highly recommended we get a new heat pump costing $15,000 as opposed to just paying $5000 for a new compressor. I decided to have another heating company give us a second opinion and I'm so glad I did. Turns out the only parts of our heat pump that were broken were two fuses that cost a dollar a piece. This other company replaced the fuses for us and our heat pump has been working great!

Update: CM Heating reached out right away to apologize and assured me this is not how they do business.

CM responded to my Yelp review promptly. Although one should not need to post a negative Yelp review (after unanswered correspondence) to get a response, at least they finally did respond. They sent Chase out to address a few minor concerns on the $16+k install and he did so thoroughly, responsibly, and went the extra mile to address a few minor things I didn't notice. I love a person who is passionate in his profession, and as knowledgeable & dedicated as Chase. I hope he gets a Yelp bonus.

Lessons for CM? Answer customers' correspondence timely. And after MAJOR installs follow up with an inquiry as to possible punchlist items.

I recommend this company. 4 stars due to the initial dropped ball.

CM Heating put an A/C unit in our house a year ago.  Last month it suddenly stopped working during a very hot day.  I called, got someone on the line, and they had someone at our house within hours to fix it.  It took him some time to trace it down, but he got it fixed.  And then came the kicker...no charge for the service.  We had A/C again and all was well.  

Then today I had them put more ducting for a return to the upper floor of our house to get better circulation.  They left about 20 minutes ago.  The two installers who did the job were cheerful, extremely clean, and did an amazing job.  It took them all day and they stayed a bit late to get it done.  CM may be a bit more expensive than the others, but showing up within hours when my A/C is down on a hot day is worth everything we've paid them.  And today's work even more convinced me we made a great decision going with them.

CM was truly a godsend when the company that installed our HVAC system 6 weeks ago failed to even answer their phones when the AC unit broke down. After waiting around all day waiting for 1st Response to follow up, we decided to just start calling HVAC repair companies. CM was the only company we found that offers round the clock service and had a tech on call who could come out at 10pm on a Monday night. Regis came out promptly and diagnosed the issue as a loose wire that was installed incorrectly by 1st Response. After securing the wire, he was able to get the AC unit up and running and even checked the temp of the air coming out of the vents to ensure the issue was resolved.

If I had a time machine, the first thing I'd do is make some savvier stock purchases and the second thing I'd do is use CM over 1st Response. They offer amazing service and most importantly, they freaking call you back. Yup, that's how low the bar is.

When our furnace went out, I already knew who I wanted to hire to replace it because of the great reputation the company has on my local Nextdoor page. I called CM first and they did not disappoint. They were on time. The servicemen were polite and friendly.

Our new furnace and Nest system have been a lifesaver this bitterly cold winter! And when we went out of town over Christmas, I got a notification sent to my phone 1000 miles away that our home had dropped to dangerously low temperatures and the emergency heat function had been activated. I have no doubt the Nest saved our pipes in our absence. I would recommend CM to anyone!

I am so impressed with CM Heating. We recently had a heat pump installed to work with our existing furnace. From start to finish, every single person that we interacted with exceeded our expectations. We met with several other companies before finding CM Heating and we knew right away that they were by far the best option. They were knowledgeable about what equipment would work with our furnace and didn't try to sell us on something that we didn't want. We also wanted to keep our existing smart thermostat and they found a way to make it work. Installation was quick and painless. Communication was fantastic, and when we needed the unit looked at shortly after the installation, someone was out the very same day to ensure us that everything was working like it should.

On Thursday I called CM Heating to do maintenance on a furnace about 5 years old.  That evening I had no heat and it was blowing cold air.  I called Friday morning and the same technician came first thing and he thought fixed it.  No heat on Friday. A new technician told me that I needed a new furnace. (After further review it needed a new part.) This seemed like a scam to me and my house was 47 defrees inside.  When I complained the owner of the company called me personally.  Since it may take several days to get the needed part he offered a new furance at cost on Monday.  He also offered to bring me space heaters in the meantime. The owner really seems to care about their  customers and went above and beyond to remedy the situation.

I really feel like they try to hard sell and upsell. waiting to hear back about todays estimate because it's just a dollar value. no breakdown on parts or labor costs.  I highly doubt I can recommend them because of this.

I am overwhelmed by how honest and professional this company is .. They are amazing!! We fist had our heat replaced with them , it was one of the easiest home project We have ever experienced!!! Then now we decided to install air conditioning, went straight to CM and again smooth as silk !! This time we also need electrical redone , the fist team of Reese and Thomas where so great literally everything the said was right on schedule!! So , professional and courteous .. the job was done great !!

We chose these guys because of their reputation. Very sorry we did. The installers were very nice, but I have major concerns about their competence. The piping from the installation looked terrible. The worst part is that they lied to me about this. My wife was there when they arrived, I was there when they left. I looked at the piping and the look on my face must have said it all. The leader of the installation group said some thing like yeah it's pretty rough, but your wife asked me to do it that way. When my wife came home, she told me that he just about begged her to do it that way and she consented when he wouldn't relent. Just corner-cutting. When they were all done, they fired up the furnace and it wouldn't work.

The next day a higher level guy came out to inspect the work. He expressed shock at the work done and even said that the guy who came out to do the initial quote did not give us good advice. This guy was able to get the furnace going, but he couldn't get the heat pump to work. That's right, 2/2 components did not work initially. The guy apologized for everything and promised to make it all right. We never saw or heard from him again.

When no one contacted us, we called their office. They said someone would be out in 2 weeks. We protested, but they said it was the best that they could do. The next day, we got a call and they sent someone out a week later.

They next guy blamed the manufacturer and of course COVID-19 for everything. They made the piping look presentable, but advised fixing it outright as it might introduce more problems. He did get all of the components working. He thinks he made things right by throwing in an adapter that allows us to operate the thermostat by phone app.

Nice does not equal competence. Don't fall for their window dressing. I have little confidence that the system I have in place will function a few years from now. I also have little confidence that these guys will honor their warranty. I would not recommend this company.

I am extremely pleased with CM Heating! Everyone from the sales consultant to the install team and in between was very knowledgeable, courteous and understanding of my family's needs. They did a great job doing their layout and installed a 4 zone ductless system in our home and I know it wasn't easy because our house is older with additions that made parts of the home difficult to access. I couldn't be more pleased with how professional and clean it looks and how well the system functions. 11/10 score from me

I am considering adding a heat pump or AC unit to my house.  Seeing all the good reviews on Yelp, I contacted CM to obtain an estimate.  I can't speak to the quality of their work but will say that I will not be giving my business to this company.  Why? The hard sell.  I was subjected to phony friendliness, vague answers to my questions, intrusive personal questions and an almost desperate sales person PUSHING me to commit NOW. On top of it he criticized the company that serviced my furnace (without any specific issue) AND, as I found out after he left, cleared out my thermostat settings requiring me to reset everything.   Once it finally sunk in that I was NOT going to commit today (& before having a written estimate), he abruptly got up and skeddadled out the door with a totally different (ie no longer phony friendly) demeanor.  Just as he is, but for different reasons, I'm pretty disappointed that I wasted time on today's appointment- and am angry at having been subjected to pushy salesmanship in my own home! Nope. Nope. Nope.

CM installed AC and a new furnace in our home a couple of years ago, and did a thorough and professional job.  Two days ago I smelled gas and called them; they had a technician to the house within three hours.  He found that the heat exchanger had failed and required him to shut off the furnace immediately for our safety!  The next day CM invoked their own lemon law policy of replacing a complete furnace if a major component fails within five years, and had a team on our doorstep the next morning with a new furnace!  It was installed by midday by Trent and Christopher, who were very professional, competent and communicative.  We are extremely pleased with CMs support and professionalism, and recommend them without reserve to anyone.

We were looking to replace our existing thermostat with a smart thermostat. However on account of the nature of our current HVAC system, none of the typical smart options(tried both Nest and Ecobee) were able to support this setup. Confirmed things by speaking directly with both companies. That's when we reached out to CM heating. From the get go they were super responsive and confirmed that they did have solutions that could get us what we were looking for(which was to mainly be able to remotely control and schedule our HVAC).

Theresa(our tech. who came out) was amazing. She was on time, professional and awesome to talk to. She patiently answered all our questions(and we had a ton being new home owners) and got us set up with an internet enabled thermostat in no time! She explained multiple aspects of our system while she was setting up the thermostat which was very educative and much appreciated.

We would recommend CM heating in a heartbeat based on our first experience with them.

Their salesperson was perfectly nice and very respectful. But honestly don't waste your time getting a quote. For a simple furnace replacement (like unit, nothing special about my setup), they wanted to charge me $4700 just for the labor. This is when their competitors only charge between $1000-2000 at most. IMO, your labor shouldn't cost more than the unit you are replacing my system with. Do yourself a favor and get quotes from organizations that aren't trying to make a quick buck off of you.

Update:  CM Heating is committed to making you happy and satisfied.  They were concerned that I wasn't happy with my service and offered me a few options.  I decided to have someone come out and check my furnace because it hadn't been serviced since I bought the place.  Tyler was amazing.  He educated me on my system, showed me how to replace my filter, and was very quick.

Great company, great employees...., 34 year old furnace was having problems, the tech. gave full honest diagnosis. I did not tell the tech I already knew what the problem was, i wanted to see if she would go through the process, and she did. She also was realistic when it came to keeping a 34 year old furnace alive. The other company didn't pass the test, just through some BS excuses about what was wrong and just said buy a new one. For me they did a new furnace and AC, installed in one day, very clean professional work. Installers were Michael, Steve and Gavin, they had drop clothes trash cans and cleaned as they went, and left nothing behind and we're very informative. Very nice friendly presentable group of guys. Thanks to all you guys and gals at CM heating.

CM Heating did a very poor job of installing our new gas furnace.  They neglected to install the turn off valve entirely, they did not sufficiently enclose the furnace, and two valves were not screwed right enough, omitting gas into our garage and ultimately into our home.  The installers were very personable and had experience installing this type of furnace.  I was told that the new furnace would emit a bad odor for a day or two.  However, two days later I could plainly smell gas in our home.  I had a severe head ache and felt nauseated as well.  Fortunately, they are open 24 hours and another tech arrived within a half hour....All is fixed..but it really could have gone sideways on so many levels.

Everett WA | I've been using CM Heating to maintain my furnace for years. This year I had a new Ductless system installed so I could enjoy AC.  CM Heating did a great job, they were professional, friendly, fun to have around. The system has been in and running for almost a year now and they've already come by to check and see how it's running. They always answer the phone, they always answer my questions, they always schedule me in, they always show up when they say, they are always cheerful, their prices are extremely competitive, in fact the cost is usually a bit lower than I expect. They give me quality and so far, every employee I've met is friendly and cheerful. I really like these guys!

I don't even know where to begin. From the owner down to the installers, this company is top notch! They are accountable, honest, professional, accommodating and their customer service is unbeatable. I've never worked with a company who bends over backwards like they do to ensure their customer's satisfaction. I needed a lot of work done and I'm sure I was a pain to work with, but not one time did they make me feel unimportant. After a lot of research, I chose CM Heating for my furnace replacement and new installation of central air conditioning.  Half the research was focused on the which equipment manufacturer I wanted and then the rest was who do I want to install it.  That was the hardest decision.  I selected CM after  getting 5 bids and finalized the selection after going to there Everett facility for a tour and sit down with there project team.    It was worth the extra time and gave me confidence they were who I wanted to work with.  I signed up in March, had the equipment installed in one day in early June.  Its now almost September and I am very please with both the American Standard Product and CM Heating.   Having AC this summer was wonderful and I remain very pleased with the decision.  Note: There was one electric issue that took place after installation but was not directly related to the work they did. CM came out the next day to check and fixed it anyway.  Great service and peace of mind.  Looking forward to many years of support from this firm.

We were looking to replace gas furnace. Starting from getting the quote, scheduling and installation, I had very pleasant experience with CM Heating. Although their quote was not the lowest one but I really liked the way Michael did estimate (actually inspecting all ducts, crawl space, listened to our needs) and stellar customer reviews. Sarah was very helpful to guide the installation process and finance options.

Taylor and Anthony arrived on time and worked hard to install our new Heat pump and backup gas furnace. They kept our home clean and took all COVID precautions. Taylor answered all of my queries and helped me to walk through maintenance tips.

We went with CM Heating for our ductless heat pump and are very satisfied. I got three estimates and the cost was basically the same. I went Joe and CM because out of the three estimates, his was the most comprehensive.

He really took his time to took a look at the house, measurements and figure out which unit would be best for us.  He also suggested moving the unit, to give the entire house better coverage.

From the beginning to the end, they have been very prompt, responsive and delivered on what they promised. I would definitely recommend them.

A few weeks ago, we had a heat pump and high efficiency furnace installed. Our meeting with Sean from the Sales department went very well. He was very professional and a great listener when it came to our needs. The office was outstanding. All the installers were professional and courteous. The permit process was handled by CM Heating and was easily addressed by the inspectors. Would definitely recommend them in a heartbeat.

Chris and Remus did a fantastic job! All their work was done neatly and in a manner that blended in to the surrounding portions of the house. They also cleaned all the areas they worked in, leaving the spaces as clean as or even better than when they arrived. Pricing was competitive and only $180 more than their biggest competitor. We decided to pay the small amount more for CM Heating because of their friendly customer support throughout the entire process and better warrantees.

We requested an appointment in February of this year for a new HVAC system to compliment our gas furnace. Everyone, from sales to installation (including the electrician) was knowledgeable, pleasant to work with and very efficient at their job. Our new HVAC system was installed in one day by 3 pm. Before they left, we were inserviced on how to operate the thermostat and the particulars on permit inspection from the city soon. Scott and crew did an immaculate job on clean up before they left too. We even have a few new extra outlets at strategic places in and outside of the garage now, which will be very beneficial for plugging in electrical items. I highly recommend this company to you, not only for the quality of product they sell (and the warranty provided) but also for all of the great staff that made our total experience a very positive one!

I used these people to install a gas fireplace. Sadly they don't follow install instructions. I had to have them comeback because they didnt seal the pipes onto my fireplace which could let exhaust leak into house. When i called them and talked to tech, they say they never do that. Also i called about the awful smell a couple times, they said it would go away. It took several weeks and now that I opened unit I found out they dropped a bunch of insulation that has been burning inside unit. It took these people 3 trips to my house and still they destoyed my house for weeks with thr smell and unsafe practices. Do yourself a favor and go with a company that can follow instuctions, not some kids trying to get as many installs as fast as they can. The only why id rectify with this company is if they refunded all their labor because honestly it has created more work then me just installing in the first place. Also they scratched up paint inside unit and it is already rusting.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING WITH ANOTHER COMPANY.....It pains me to write this, I was hoping to give a 5 star review like so many others have given. I made an appointment for an estimate for new AC a few months ago. All of my interactions were great and I kind of felt like I would go with CM just based on their reputation. The day of the estimate, someone was scheduled to be there between 2 to 4 PM. At 3:50 PM I got a call from my comfort specialist Sean. He said he was on his way but then asked if I wanted to reschedule since it was so late. I told him that I was fine with the timing and that my fiancé would be meeting him at the house. Sean gave me more excuses about why it would be better to wait and that I should be there (I was home in 20 minutes). I explained that my fiancé would be making the end decision and understood these things more than me. He then said let me make a quick call and see if I could fit you in on Saturday. He made mention of another customer having an emergency and him needing to be there by 5:30. I let him know that if there was an issue and he couldn't come he should've been straightforward about that. We hung up and shortly after I received a call from a female rescheduling me to Saturday, not even a call from Sean. I was pretty upset and honestly was going to cancel it because the two other companies gave me great estimates. My fiancé convinced me to keep the appointment due to the great reputation. Saturday morning comes and my appointment is from 10 to 12 with Sean. At 8 AM I get a phone call telling me that he's had an emergency and he needs to reschedule my appointment.....again. They followed up with an email from someone named Haley. I just don't know how they expect me to move forward with them when I can't even get an estimate done and I've had this appointment on the books for a couple of months. Im really upset, the other two companies came out, had no issue talking to my fiancé and we're there when scheduled. I am not feeling very comfortable right now about this company.

My furnace stopped blowing air on Sunday, CM Heating was out first thing on Monday to assess the situation. They provided detailed info regarding what was wrong and the probability of additional items needing replaced. The very same Monday evening their sales rep was at my place with exactly the info I asked for! Realistic, no heavy sales pitch - just the facts. Install happened that Friday. Everyone I spoke to or dealt with on the phone was polite, friendly and super helpful. I highly recommend this company, they listen and perform!

I contacted CM Heating in August of 2021, I was contacted by Tyler Hawkins, nice guy, got an estimate, went with a new split type heat pump install. I was given a install date of October, when October came I was asked if they could have another 30 days due to part shortages (covid), I didn't have a problem with that, come November another call to delay, I then contacted CM heating about the delay and asked if they had a heat pump in stock that was comparable to the one I originally ordered, and asked if they could just install that one, they contacted me right away to install the one they had. Installation day came and it was one of the worst weather days you could ask for, pouring rain all day, but the CM crew Keith (the lead), Nalu (installer), Carlos (installer) and Christian (electrician) were very professional and respectfully and did an outstanding job of the installation. My experience with CM Heating was a little rocky at first but worded out fine in the end. I would recommend them for new heat pump installations, There team was courteous, and professional all the way through the process.

Heater went out on Wednesday night. CM was here Thursday am. My heater was very old (1975) and basically done. They walked me through a new furnace, secured me 12 months same as cash financing, and showed up Friday for the tear out and new install. I'm now sitting in my house Friday night with a brand new furnace and very cozy heat billowing away.
Zero complaints, this is the way this is supposed to be done. Couldn't be happier..they were very prompt and kept me updated with pictures of the technicians that were on their way. This was beyond professional. I can't say enough good things about this team. You can't go wrong!

I am very happy with the service I received for the installation of an air conditioning unit. Tent and his workers showed up on time, were very polite, professional and gave me a walk through of the process to be done. When they were finished, Trent gave me a detailed information of the work completed and also a hands on demonstration of how the new thermostat works. I look forward to working with CM Heating in the future with other projects I have in mind.

Had my annual maintenance done last week on my fireplace, furnace, heat pump, and water heater.  My home was respected with shoe covers, drop cloths, gloves, and masks.  Technician kept me informed along the process and gave me a good recap at the end of the appointment.  Great service!

Our 38 year old furnace died the first weekend in December, and it was time to replace and upgrade to a new heat pump system. We received quotes from four companies, and after weighing the various bids, decided to go with CM Heating.

Very glad we did - the team that arrived did a great job, and were amazing professionals throughout the install process. When the crawlspace was found to be too tight at one end of the house, which prevented their access, they presented a plan B option to us, explaining how it would look running the tubing thru the attic and showing samples of trim they could use to cover where it would be visible outside. Later, as they were turning the system on, the new heat pump wouldn't start initially; they stayed late to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. I was impressed at their dedication and willingness to work late to get it running, so we didn't need to go another night without heat. We are enjoying the new heat pump system, and happy that we chose CM Heating.

Davis came out to consult on central air conditioning options. He was extremely professional, courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. When he saw me wearing a mask, he asked if I'd like him to wear one, and I said yes so he was happy to put one on. He explained everything regarding the AC, and answered all of my questions and concerns. He also thoroughly inspected the inside and outside of the house, kept notes and documentation, and did some calculations. Further, he offered other options and suggestions which I wasn't aware of, besides a standard AC, such as a heat pump unit. He walked me through everything and even let me see the total costs / quotes right then and there (he sent the same info via email later as well). Finally, he took video with narration of the entire potential job site for the technicians if I were to hire the company. Their guarantees and assurances are also very good. Disclaimer: I have not hired this company to do an installation, but I wanted to give them props for one of the best experiences with a company I have ever had, and say thanks to Davis for being so awesome.

If I could give 0 stars I would.  Simply started out looking for a new heating and cooling system - heat pump, furnace, AC.  I used the online text option, and pretty soon there were a few questions - home address, phone #, email address, and name.  I gave them all except my last name, which I felt at the time was not important, as I was simply looking for someone to come out and give me an estimate, and at this time they could use my first name.  I had them call me and we chatted for a few minutes looking for a good time for a rep to come out. Then I was told they needed my legal last name to create a profile and start paperwork.  I said really? I've had another big name local company out simply knowing me as Dan. Still no. So I said ok, that's too bad, I'll have to take my cash elsewhere.

C'mon John, Brandon, Michael, really?  Treat people like they're people.
Just to get an estimate?  If it was to sign a contract not an issue.

I'm amending my review.  Not based on CM's products and services, because I haven't purchased any, but based on the response and responsiveness of John and CM Heating.  John reached out and first off apologized for my experience described above.  He explained their normal process, and my request didn't fit that, but they should know how to accommodate requests that don't fit their norm.  That goes a long way towards the customer service and satisfaction in my book.  Kudos to you John, and thank you for reaching out.  Reading, understanding, and taking action is a strong tenant of a good community based business.  And I hope that approach is grounded in the company's culture extending to all the employees.

I've used CM Heating twice now for a property I manage in Everett. They fixed my pool room's ventilation system and repaired an air duct issue for one of the units. Each project was done very professionally and met my expectations. The office staff is very friendly when calling for estimates or scheduling services. We worked with Lyle specifically who gave the bid for each project and he seemed to really know his stuff.

Their prices are pretty reasonable and their turnaround time is satisfactory. I'm definitely glad I found this team.

C&M came out and recharged my Diakin heatpump. I was charged $1400 for that service. Within an hour, the unit began making very loud noise every time the compressor kicked in. After complaining, they returned and verified the noise. Told me it was a bad compressor and now want several thousand to replace that part. But a couple of phone calls and research has validated my belief that this is totally caused be OVERCHAGING the system. QUOTING
Squealing from the Compressor - Loud squealing noises can be attributed to the amount of pressure in the air conditioner lines. Refrigerant is a liquid that's sprayed as a gas through the compressor. When you pump too much of it into the pressurized lines, the chemical is forced through tiny nozzles and spray hoses while it's still in liquid form. This then creates the squealing noises, and could lead to serious damage to your air conditioner's moving parts.

Of course, they will dispute their fault. My attorney will need to intervene.

I was overall quite happy with my CM Heating experience.  Chris, Taylor, and Paul provided great service.  Price was competitive with other quotes, but the real reason to use them is how great their communication technology is: quoting processes, scheduling, emails with technicians' faces and texts when they're on the way, permitting process, etc, all communicated electronically and promptly.  I did have some issues with the first installation of my new furnace, but they stood by their 100% satisfaction guarantee without any resistance and got it all sorted out pretty quickly.

This is the combination of TWO separate experiences at CM Heating, and a series of their response to me.

By far, CM's price is absolutely the best, and their management is excellent, but I haven't had the best experiences with their customer facing people. The jury is out on whether their installation quality is good, but I'm willing to give them a chance to prove that their quality is as good as their price.

My first experience with CM was when I had a gas fireplace AND tankless water heater installed six years ago. I had great interactions with Paul (owner at the time), and their prices are the best. But the actual install went horribly because they sent a junior installer without supervision, and the guy left trash all over my yard and driveway. Mind you, this isn't some small pieces that was accidentally overlooked, it's like HUGE sections of metal pipe and fittings and mess of wires and enough insulation to cover my car. Additionally, the fireplace was badly installed. However, Paul personally came back and reinstalled it, and a senior tech came back to check on the fireplace some months later. Based on the fact that they were so good at fixing the situation, and the fact that all of my other heating came from CM, I decided to give them another chance when I needed my furnace replaced. Particularly as it has since changed management and I wanted to be fair, and they install American Standard, which is Consumer Report's top pick brand.

Unfortunately, my experience with the quote process the second time around didn't give me much confidence that this install would be correctly done. Rusty, the sales guy was two hours late to my appointment. He did call me to tell me he would be a little late. However, when I called him back after my appointment time had elapsed, he told me he was leaving right then, and he not end up leaving until an hour later. I had to call him again to see where he was. While I understand logistic issues does happen, and I get that he's busy, the lack of communication on his part felt disrespectful of my time.

Additionally, the actual appointment was rushed. I had previously had a quote from Ballard Natural Gas, which was recommended by my neighbor (who is a salt of the earth guy, and a master home builder)... the experience between the two was just night and day. First of all, Rusty came in with muddy shoes, and he barely glanced at the system and my space before telling me he's got everything he needs. He didn't explain the detail of what should be done, and I had to ask some critical questions which I only knew because I had already talked to another installer.

I was promised a quote in a few hours... as soon as I get internet, but the quote didn't come until several days later. When it did, the pdf was blank. I had to write back to ask for the actual quote. I would have been ok if he said I will get you a quote in a few days.

When I communicated all this to John (the current GM), he quickly responded and offered additional discounts. But I told him that I rather see him invest more in quality as I'm willing to pay more for a job well done. An email conversation ensued, which caused a bit of misunderstanding. However, being the kind of person who takes my yelp reviewing seriously, I ended up calling John and we had a good chat. I will say that from that interaction, he seemed like a good, upstanding guy, and for that, I am willing to give the company a second chance. Particularly as I have all my heating appliances from them.

**UPDATE**

CM Heating went above and beyond to fix the issue with our furnace and compensate for the time missed by covering the repair costs. They sent a service man out within 24 hours and now we have a fully functioning furnace and heat. We are extremely grateful for their excellent customer service.

We had air conditioning installed by CM Heating in June 2019, and couldn't be more pleased.  Our home is the middle unit of a two story townhome, with lofted ceilings, and limited crawl space.  Our install happened over two consecutive days, and the install was done by Rich, Keith, and Remis, with Josh doing the electrical work.

We began by calling a number of companies in our area for an on-site consultation, where they would review our space, and recommended options.  CM Heating gave us four different estimates, based on some of the options we were considering.  CM Heating's estimates were inclusive of parts, labor, and overruns, and were very competitive with other estimates. When we had questions, Shawn made an additional trip out to personally walk us through the details on a wide range of topics.

After this, there was a layout meeting, where Lyle took photos and measurements, so that the install day would go smoothly.  Because of the compressed size of our land, we had difficulties securing a permit for our desired location, and Lyle made yet another trip to our home to ensure that our alternate location would work.  Debbie worked through the permitting, and helped put together photos and materials required for HOA approval.  Through this process, CM was requiring no money from us, and once our permit was secured and HOA approved, we submitted payment for half of the invoice.

The install day came, and the installers were charismatic and communicative.  As the install proceeded, a few minor problems came up, and they included us in the decisions.  The install included lineset run from our external unit, up to the second floor, through the limited attic, and down to the garage.  Internally, we had to move an air intake to a different wall.  The craftsmanship of the install was amazing, as if they were installing in their own home, with clean lines, additional electrical outlets, and sealed gaps.  Outside our garage, we had a condensation drip installed, and they made a beautiful stone circle around the drain, which really emphasized the care they took.  We paid the balance, which was exactly what they estimated - there were no surprise charges or additional fees.

We've had a few warm days, and despite having a lofted ceiling, the air conditioning cools our home extremely quickly.  The entire team listened to our needs and gave us exactly what we were looking for.  There were no shady sales pitches to try and upgrade or unnecessary add-ons just to jack up the price.  Overall we are very pleased with the work, the professionalism and the care they took to get the job done right.

When contracting service through a large company, you have no idea who will be sent out to do the work; it could be someone who has experience, no experience, or is completely indifferent to your problem. I called CM Heating to do a tune-up and to address a problem where my furnace blower seemed delayed in starting. The furnace was still working and I had heat. I explained the situation in detail to the first employee that came out to do the work. After I explained the problem we walked over to the furnace and he asked me if there were any issues with the furnace. Since I just explained the problem to him, I was concerned that he didn't understand, but I explained the problem again and thought he would figure it out when doing the tune-up. Nope. I paid $700 dollars and still had the problem after he left. I called and paid again to have them send someone else out. The next person said the burners were bad. He cleaned them and suggested I replace them. After he replaced them for $400, the furnace blower was still delayed in starting. He told me to call if it continued and left. The next morning, the furnace didn't work at all. They sent someone else out who was very nice but admitted he didn't have the experience to do the diagnostics. He talked to someone on the phone and they suggested it might be the computer board, or maybe another device. They ordered the parts and then I waited for weeks. I called a few times to find out when the parts would come in, but they continued to tell me hopefully soon. CM Heating doesn't get parts locally or track the delivery when ordering them. The shipping could take weeks, or it could be backlogged and take months. You are expected to just wait (without heat) and hope that it can be fixed one day. One person I talked to told me a cold front was coming in and said, Good luck. Then there's the open 24/7 hours advertisement. What that means is they have an answering service. If you call after hours, they take a message and then they get back to you when it's convenient for them. No one is going to come out after hours. I finally called someone else and they said the parts are easy to come by and they could have them the next day.

We had our install of a new furnace, air conditioner, and water heater yesterday. They were able to get it done all in one day, were extremely considerate and professional, and we are very happy with our decision to go with CM Heating!!

Prior to the install, they were patient as we reviewed other bids, and we ultimately decided to go with them because they could get the job done in a time frame that worked with us, and although they were a tiny bit more expensive, their products, guarantees, and warranties put them over the top.

Once we chose them, they were very communicative regarding scheduling, financing, and installation arrival time. I NEVER had to wonder what the next step was, because they were on top of it all the way.

The ability of all the technicians and installers to seamlessly coordinate and execute the job was top notch. I highly recommend them!

Rock and his teammate Mike did an AMAZING job over the weekend installing new furnace and AC. Was a complicated job and they worked SUPER hard to do a great job. Rock has a sense of perfection so I knew he was the right guy. I stood with them for 2 solid days and helped where I could. I'm absolutely happy with the work, the crew, the products. On 5/8/19 CM Heating sent Comfort Specialist Beau to perform a maintenance inspection on our gas water heater. What he found was overlooked by the previous tech that did the last inspection. Beau observed the burner unit was flaring up--which it is not supposed to do! He dismantled the burner unit and discovered small cracks in the gas line that could have caused an explosion!

The image shows the burner unit he dismantled and the black scorches left by the flames. I think it is possible that we owe our lives to this observant Hero and appreciation to CM Heating.

I recently bought a home that had some *homeowner special* repairs, and we had tons of issues with heating and AC. The professionals at CM Heating def came in and saved the day! They are always super friendly and love getting the updates on when the tech will arrive as well as a picture of the tech with their details before they arrive. We have had CM Heating out to repair the thermostat but ended up needing a couple follow  up visits due to extended repairs from said previous owner of this house. They are punctual, fair, and do the job RIGHT the first time, as well as recommending functionality and money saving tips!

Theresa was the tech that came out to rescue us and she was PHENOMENAL! my dogs also love when she visits because shes just that awesome :)

We have been charged for a part for our stove that was under
warranty. When we call to see what the charge was for they said the part was free but the warranty did not cover labor. We got a bill for $251.00 for labor.  Less than an hour of labor......seriously?  Next time we will ask what labor will cost on a warrenty part.  When this stove dies we will buy another from another stove store.

I called this place because of the reviews. I had them check my furnace due to my blower seems to not working 100 but not dead and after he was done evening came and went to bed, woke up from being cold due to no heat on thanksgiving day. After playing within the thermostat  blower was working but no heat I decided to google it and figure it out myself. I found that he forgot to plug the wires to the burger. Plugged it back and heat is on but now the thermostat is not turning fan on.
Now time to find another place to figure this out. It's hard to trust this place when a technician did not test everything after the work is done by turning everything back on.

***I wrote the review above out of anger and frustration but after chatting with John and assuring me that this is not a common mistake I decided to give them a better rating.
He offered the refund but I declined due to the inspection was done. He insisted so thank you for that.
Looking forward on giving this company another chance.

The service and professionalism far exceeded my expectations. From the call to schedule, to the completion of my work,was seamless.

I was able to get outlets moved, vents cleaned, and a blower installed in my fireplace. All three installers (technicians) were to be here between 8-10 and all showed up within the first part of the allotted time.

Everything was set up to protect my flooring and home as they did their work. Everything is perfect and I couldn't be happier.

I highly recommend this company and will only use them for my future needs in heating/ maintenance.

We chose CM Heating because we have heard several great referrals. We were told when we bought our house that the home was heat-pump installation ready with slab, wiring, and dual purpose furnace (heat pump and electric) already in place. While we had a couple of bumps along the way John at CM Heating has been timely, helpful, and always worked hard to make sure our questions and concerns were addressed.

The gentleman (Rusty) who originally gave our estimate seemed very knowledgeable. He unfortunately missed our original appointment due to a county road maintenance closure but was back the next day to meet with us. Rusty was helpful talking over options for our 2-story house and the details of the possible PUD rebate.

The day of installation went smooth until it came to light that the existing heat-pump wiring wasn't actually connected to a breaker in the fuse panel! We were surprised this was overlooked but CM Heating stepped up and had their electrician there within the hour to resolve the issue. Once everything was said and done there was a monetary discrepancy that hadn't previously been brought to our attention. John again worked with us to resolve the miscommunication. Overall we are satisfied with the work CM Heating has done on our home and delighted that it all came together so quickly. We also appreciate CM Heating's help coordinating the electrical and mechanical inspectors.

They confirmed with a text message; in that same message, they indicated they would send a notification the day before the appointment. Awesome and professional work done. The technician was very knowledgeable and honest. My fireplace was lighting up and going out every couple of minutes. He was able to troubleshoot it down to a part and scheduled a follow up appointment with the office. After the part arrive the technician was able to install the part and found another problem with the switch. He proceeded to fix that problem and only charged me for the actual problems with my fireplace. So in the long run I was not charged for the extra part only for the issues that effected my fireplace. It's great to find an honest company like this one. I would highly recommend them for any heating work needed. I will be using them again when it is time to service my furnace. Great work guys!

I have had my 20 years old fireplace maintained by at least three other companies in the past but this year I chose CM heating and they were absolutely the best of any company I have used. The fireplace looks brand new. They cleaned underneath in areas not normally visible more  thoroughly than any other service and the areas that are visible like the glass and the inside painted area look very clean and crisp and shiny. I have already recommended them to friends.

I've had five points of contact with CM Heating over the past month - First was the initial meeting/consultation with Michael (sales).  Then Brian (technician) came out to inspect the property and answer questions and get all the info he needed for an efficient installation.  Then Josh and another technician (forgot his name) came out to do the actual installation.  Jerry came over today to do a duct test and answer any follow up questions I might have had (I had a lot) and then finally, this afternoon, after I screwed up the entire system, Krispin came out, spent about an hour with me at the very end of the day, and fixed everything.

At every single point of contact CM Heating was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, patient with my questions, super friendly with my over-eager dog, efficient and just a pleasure to work with.  Before anyone arrived for their scheduled appointment I received a phone call to let me know they were on their way and their anticipated arrival time as well as a text and email from their office with the name and photo of the person who would be arriving.  As as single, female I really appreciated this gesture as I'm not always comfortable opening the door to strangers. The few times I've talked to customer service on the phone they're always so happy and funny and super helpful.  

I think the fact that every employee I've engaged with is so happy and fun and professional speaks volumes about what an amazing company CM Heating is to work with.  I appreciate that they're a small, local company and their level of service, both customer service and technical/installation service, was above and beyond.  

I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

This company has really turned itself around from 6 years ago! Their customer service has been wonderful. The techs (Chris and Justin) came out in uniform and I received a text alert saying who is coming out with a photo to identify them. I felt so safe with me and my kids being home with them coming out. They did a full maintenance and service on my heat pump and were great with communication every step of the way as well as very respectful. They wore shoe covers inside without being asked. They explained things about my system that any company may have assumed I knew. Also, got their allergen specialized filter installed (name?) and am so happy with it. It's easy to take in and out. I highly recommend this company. Brandon in customer service and Tech Brandon are phenomenal too!! It's the kind of service that I can trust the information being given to me. Their rates match their level of service and expertise without being too high. I can't say enough how great of an experience this has been.

Our furnace required repair recently, and Adam was the initial service technician . He was informative and professional. Adam's pleasant personality was also a definite plus. He was assisted by another pleasant gentleman whose  name we did not get. Before the final visit, another technician was required. Her name was Theresa and she displayed equally strong professionalism personal traits.

Update 11/22/16:
I am risking two things with this updated review:
1) aggravating the general manager John Giacomi even more
2) putting myself and others at risk for any retaliation from this review.

The manner in which John have taken to resolve the issues below are not only completely childish, but also borderline stalking. We are essentially involved in a he said/ she said argument. There are too many updates from him in the comment section to even follow. However, I will say this: he keeps mentioning that my review does not match his records and documents, but has failed to provide any documentation. Furthermore, these are easily manipulated following my review posting.

Not only that, but John has been cyber stalking me and demanding that we meet and that I remove my review. He has sent numerous messages on multiple platforms from multiple accounts including my personal Facebook. As yelp does not display my last name, I am extremely creeped out by his actions and have notified appropriate parties. He has even proceeded to add me as a friend. As a professional, it is never OK to reach out to your customers on Facebook especially if it unwelcome. I posted my review on yelp and yelp should be the only method of communication. John seems very unstable and I am essentially afraid updating this review, but he will not leave me alone so I have to let the public know.

As for his comments on suggestions on how to serve his customers better. Well #1 would be to not stalk them on the internet and to not message them multiple times (take the hint and leave me alone). #2, as a company that keeps boasting about being top in customer care, they seemed to have missed putting the customer first. The circuit board in question had a note that said it was replaced by PSE a few weeks ago. As CM came out for an inspection, what they should have done was noticed that note and advise that we seek out PSE to have it replace as it was brand new and should be under warranty, thus saving us another $600 dollars. That would have been looking out for the customers best interest, yet they went ahead and changed it anyway. Bottom line: The circuit board was unnecessarily changed to benefit CM and not the customers.  

FYI - there is no need to deny any of the stalking as I have screen shot everything.

End update.

I am very disappointed in the work Kyle performed on 11/1/16. He didn't state what parts he would change out and also failed to pay attention to the note on the furnace that said I just had the circuit board replaced a few weeks ago by PSE. He changed a perfectly new circuit board that was not needed. It was only a faulty wire. Now I have to spend nearly $600 dollars for something that was not needed. They said they would reinstall my previous circuit board but I'm concerned that all the connecting, disconnecting, and reconnecting will affect the boards integrity as they are very sensitive items.

I am extremely disappointed in CM heating and cannot / will not recommend them to anybody. They have also failed to resolve this matter.

I had CM come out and give me a quote. Shawn explained that they had a policy of not being beat by 4 specific competitors. I had quotes from 2 of them. He explained the company in great detail and said that CM included a 10 year parts and labor warranty. Impressive. When I recieved the quote it was substatially more than the other 2. I sent one over and John reviewed it. CM had a better furnace and downgraded that to match the competitor. He also downgraded the warranty to 2 years for a savings of $824.00. A lot of money for something that was included. They also set me up with a wi-fi thermostat which I said I didn't want. Shawn was not aware that a heat pump drains water. I feel as though the hidden cost on the 10 year warrant is wrong. I called them to come out for a quote on installation of an HVAC system.  I also called three other providers on the PUD contractor list.  CM  were able to get me an appointment within two days of calling.  The others all set appointments for weeks ahead.  Although the person who made the appointment would not give me a price range on the phone it seems their prices are competitive.  The three other companies all gave me price ranges that were higher than the actual quote I got from CM.  They have several incentives as well.  Although I opted to not go ahead with the work at this time, solely because of my financial situation, I will definitely call them n the future.

A heat pump is a major purchase, that can generate a lot of anxiety. CM Heating understands that and responds with professional, courteous, and thorough service from the office staff through the installation crew. After I first contacted CM they quickly set up an appointment in less than a week with Ryan, one of their consultants, to come out to the home, review my situation, explain my options and provide an estimate. He called in advance, arrived on time, examined the home, determined that the job was feasible, and offered me a couple of options. There was no pressure and after he left me to think it over, no one from CM called me to pressure me into a purchase I might not need or want.  After a few days of thought, I called CM, and they scheduled Paul to come out and plan the job in detail, taking measurements and pictures.  Three days later the crew of 3 including Miguel, the electrician, and Keith and Nalu, the installers, appeared and in 1 long day installed the heat pump. The house presented some problems because it is an older home which has been remodeled several times, but the installers and electrician solved every problem. Like Ryan and Paul before them, they arrived on time, were completely professional as they installed the heat pump, and cleaned up thoroughly after themselves. Two of my friends had used CM before, and had equally satisfying experiences. I can recommend CM without reservation for your heating and cooling needs, which is why I'm giving them the 5 Star award above.

I feel like people are more inclined to write bad reviews rather than good. But as a customer I want to know when others have had a good experience and if/when you hire CM heating you will notice right away their reviews show it in their customer service!
I recently had a new furnace and A/C unit installed in my house. I shopped around and got 3 different quotes and CM was more affordable than the others so I booked my install. The process was easy and stress free from A-Z. Holly was amazing in helping me set up all the appointments from consultation to install, she's very friendly and happy to answer all my annoying questions!
When it came to the day of install I was blown away at how professional the team at my house was. Jimmy was amazing at explaining everything he was doing throughout the day and made sure I understood each step, I would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Previously, I gave CM Heating a terrible review for the work they did on my furnace and ducting. Because of that review, John at CM contacted me to apologize and offer reparations, even though lots of time had passed since the event. He gave me the choice of a partial refund or future maintenance, and both options were reasonable and fair. Also, in our email communication, John was prompt, clear, and polite.

I get the impression that CM is fixing any internal problems it might have. By responding to my review, they've shown that they truly want to improve themselves and satisfy their public.

If my furnace goes out, I will be happy to talk to John at CM about providing a new one. Yelp works!

Had an urgent request-the manager John and Anthony figured it all out on a Saturday and the team was there Monday morning with the fix. I don't like writing reviews but there is always an exception and this is one of them.
Everybody is going to tell you that their product is the best and they feel very strong and believe in their product as being the best, all of them try to sell me something extra that wasn't needed like extra air filter cavity. What they don't tell you is that it really doesn't matter what brand you decide to go for, the installation is the critical part that will determine the life of the product. They all give you 10 years of guarantee on parts but not labor, labor can be really expensive and most people get scammed because they don't know anything about A/C and if he is telling the truth or not. CM heating was the only one that gave me 10 years parts and labor, and they are the ones that usually come out the next day to do the repairs themselves so there is no hassle about pay. They took care of everything no money up front.
John was a great person to work with and very knowledgeable ,  I also noticed that he personally answered every single review himself if it was good or bad, on Angie's list, yelp it didn't matter he personally answered every single review and offered solutions to all of them. No other company did this, it was always answered by a different sales rep in the customer service department that had no idea who you are. He also knew every single customer personally, if you buy a product from CM I guarantee you he will come out personally to meet you get to know you to find the best product for your needs that will work with your budget he also doesn't try to over sell you. I asked to buy a different more expensive product thinking that it would perform a lot better but he said I didn't needed that product, he would be happy to sell me the more expensive product he but the one he suggested would work just as good or better, and that If I still wasn't happy with it he would come out and swap it. Also I don't know why but that guy gives out his personal phone number so you can call him any time even if he is on vacation he will answer your text or call... crazy. He also help me with the financing part and actually lowered my APR even more than what the bank offered me and thanks to him I was able to get a heat pump instead of just the A/C for the same monthly payment.
My Heat pump was installed during summer, by winter it needed some adjustment on the Freon, I guess this is very common due to the climate at time of installation, I texted John, he texted me right back and sent me a personal video right then from his house and showed me step by step how to start the emergency heat, they came out the very next day to fix it, I knew the repair man so it wasn't someone new that I never met before entering my house. I met him the same day John came out to introduce himself and his product. I guess they are so unique that they like it when their crew meet their customers.
I'm not getting paid to write this or force to, I hate writing reviews but when a person goes out of his way to make sure that you are being taking care of and you are happy with your product!!!! They deserves some recognition. Buy your A/C with whoever you feel most comfortable or cheap, but just make sure he stands behind his product so much that he will give you his personal cell phone number to answer you personally no matter where he is at or what time, also having the confidence that no stranger is coming to your house to fix it. (Loosing heat on your house on a very cold day is horrible.)

I'm really glad I called CM Heating for service on my furnace. We had another company come out and clean our ducts and they quoted me a price for maintenance that was OUTLANDISH! That's when I decided to call CM, my home-town, local company for reliable and honest service. I received reminder phone calls, and a courtesy email to notify me the crew was on its way. The technician was professional and very helpful; in no way did I feel pressured to buy something that I didn't need (unlike the other guys).

I will keep CM Heating's phone number handy and close by for future needs.

I originally had a negative experience with C&M but got contacted by lance and he insisted in coming out personally to resolve the negative impact i had with his company. I am pleased with the free maintenance i got from Rob(tech) and would definitely be calling them back again to resolve the issues he found with my furnance. the fact that they took time to find me and make this right means alot coming from someone who has worked in customer service so with such good service i decided to change my 2 star review to a 5 star  experience. I had a great experience with them. They came highly recommended, and I was very happy I chose them. Everyone from the salesman, the office staff, and installers were friendly and great to work with. I am in construction myself, and I was very impressed with their people and the finished work. I didn't get any other bids, but based on what I know, i think it was a fair price, and I am definitely happy with how my new heat pump and system is performing. I have a hundred year plus house and had crappy baseboards eating up my paycheck every winter. I had 5 different companies come out and give me quotes for a ductless heat pump. I went with CM Heating because they were the most knowledgeable, local to me, best price, and gave me top notch service! Rusty took the time to explain the technology and make sure that I was making a well informed choice. My electric bill had gone down and my comfort level had risen!

I'm now about to replace my hot water heater and it's Rusty to the rescue again!

Called to have our fireplace serviced and the woman who scheduled my appointment was cheerful, efficient, and a pleasure to talk with. My time slot was from 11-3:00pm. I received a phone call from the technician during the 11:00am hour letting me know he would at my home in about 15-20 minutes and I also received an auto text. I appreciate receiving updates like these, thank you! The technician's name is Krispin and he was fabulous! Very thorough with cleaning and inspection, the best I've experienced in 13 years. I had several questions for him and he answered them clearly and with a high degree of knowledge. He was professional as well as personable. I am quite impressed with my experience with CM Heating.

I choose CM for wood fireplace work from the good Yelp reviews. We bought a house in Shoreline, and we're moving from out of state. I was in town for 2 days and had contractors lined up each day. When CM appeared, the gentleman was nice, but told me he was the gas guy, and could not quote the work for the two wood burning fireplaces. He called the office and they told him that they could not get someone to me before I left town. Moving on....I mentioned I would be installing a multi ductless system in the house. The guy at the house said he could do that. He called John, I believe, and set up our appointment for 8am the next morning. I'm not staying at the house yet, so I got there early and opened it up. End of story....the person for the inspection never showed up or called. Looks like I will be using another company.

Update: Ductless person showed up 3 hours past when I was told he would be there, but just 5 minutes after I posted the review. He was great and really worked to give me a good quote.

The office also called to see how the could make up for the past issue. Since CM attempted to rectify the situation, I have updated them to 4 stars.

My experience with CM was very positive and I will definitely use them again. I wish yelp offered 1/2 stars because they would be a 4.5/5. Responses were prompt and they were on time but when they installed my new furnace they forgot to relight my pilot light so my wife had no hot water for her shower the first day. Also I found some metal debris in my driveway.

Overall very satisfied however and I will definitely recommend them in the future

From beginning to end, dealing with CM has been a great experience.  We bought our home about 7 months ago and after seeing that our furnace hasn't been serviced in 2 years, I figured it was time.  CM had their sticker on the furnace and it shows they had been the company previously maintaining the unit.  I called them, the receptionist was very nice and helpful.  After making the appointment, I received confirmation/reminder emails.  The day of, our technician was polite and efficient.  Then We received an email with a PDF document detailing what was done with photos and a PDF copy of the receipt once all was said and done.  Top notch service.

I had 3 companies come out to get quotes for the same 2 systems I was considering, yes I'm that guy - hence why I'm also on yelp. All 3 companies showed up, 1 was rude, and 2 (1 of which is CM Heating) were very on top of their game. I ended up going with CM Heating because the way they dealt with my transaction from the first initial contact I made all the way through install, I was kept informed of each step in the process, no hidden surprises with extra work or more money. Up front with everything is a huge thing in many businesses like this, so it's great to see it still followed through in companies still. I'm nice and toasty this winter thanks to CM Heating, and will be nice and cool in the summer - without the ever so common yeah it works but... - it was just an excellent experience all around.

We recently had a heat pump and furnace installed by CM Heating. Our install was a little more complicated than first thought, but Paul worked really hard to make sure it was perfect and that we were happy with the install. This meant coming backing after install to figure some things out in our weird 1986 house. Lyle responded to emails and calls really quickly. Their whole team (don't know everyone's names) was really wonderful, from those answering phones, to sales and the guys doing install. Thank you!

I used CM heating for an Annual maintenance call and it was my first experience dealing with a Gas furnace appointment. The pricing details been uploaded to Yelp for public viewing. The Technician was in and out of my door in 35 minutes. $149 for maintenance appointment. Run capacitor was recommended and I decided to do that. I was charged $128 for that, which I think is a bit steep considering that it was done  during a maintenance appointment, and  retail price for the capacitor is $13 (with taxes). $302 was the total and the technician also folded and placed an oversize filter since he didn't have the filter of the right size in his van  for the furnace.

We needed a heat pump in our home, so we got quotes from a couple companies. CM had very competitive pricing as well as a couple of layout options for the system. It took less than ten days for them to return to install everything. I had a baby in the meantime, and they were very sensitive to the fact that we had a newborn in the house, along with a recovering mother and two new grandmothers. Brian, Justin and Josh were quiet(as much as possible), clean, courteous, and quick. They set the system to a certain temperature and it has not wavered. It's also a very quiet machine! The dogs used to bark at our heater turning on, it sounded like a door shutting. Now we can barely notice it turn on.

The guy on the phone was very nice.  I was able to schedule a same day appointment which was great!  I received a schedule time frame, then a call from the tech to give me an updated time, then a text with the tech's photo and information.  I was unable to be at my home during the repair, so the tech called me and explained the problem, repair and cost.  I was able to pay over the phone and got a receipt via email right away.  If we have furnace issues again, I will call CM Heating.

We have an older Napolean gas fireplace that would not light no matter how many tutorials and tricks we tried. There are very few companies in the Snohomish county (North) area that work on this brand so when I called CM and they confirmed that they work on Napolean I made the appointment. The only downside was the wait time (6 weeks), but they are well rated and booked for a reason. The company emailed an appointment reminder two days before, called day of and emailed a photo of the technician prior to the arrival. The customer service component was really great, as was the technician that was sent out. He was incredibly friendly, punctual, and found the issue (bent starter) and fixed it. He provided helpful information about the fireplace and our options for replacement when it does eventually give out. I highly recommend using this company and will call again for their services.

I called on Monday Jan 2nd, and while other companies were closed for the holiday, CM was able to get a tech named Kyle out that day. They said he'd be there between 1:00 and 5:00 but he was actually a bit early, which was great for us because our house was freezing. Kyle was so friendly and professional, and he fixed our issue within an hour. The price was also extremely reasonable, which was a nice surprise. I couldn't be happier with their service!

CM Heating installed a furnace in my home yesterday and did a very professional job.
I had contacted and interviewed four contractors to perform this work and ultimately went with CM.

The bid was competitive and the product solution was the right one for my particular circumstances. Their workmanship was top quality and Wayne and Nick performed a very professional installation. They were on time and completely cleaned the workspace when the job was completed.  They were very thorough in explaining the operation of the system and answered any questions that I had.

Based on my experience I would not hesitate to recommend them for any HVAC project.

Every associate we interacted with during the whole process was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Shawn arrived on time and wrote up a very professional, easy to read, bid that was in my inbox by the time he finished the estimate appointment! Dane, Heriberto, Colton, and Ian did an amazing job installing a complex, 5 head, 48K Mitsubishi ductless heat pump that heats our entire home very well!! We can't wait to test out the AC this summer! They treated our home with respect and left the job neat and clean. I highly recommend this company.

At first when I called for an appointment to service my furnace I was given a 4 hour window. 8am to 12noon or 11am to 3pm. I wasn't as happy with the waiting window and expressed my displeasure with the 4 hour window but the person on the phone didn't say anything other than those are their options. So I opted for the 8am to 12noon. When given a 4 hour window, there isn't much you can do but sit there and wait. I waited from 8am to 10am but nobody arrived so I figured the technician probably won't call me till almost noon. I decided to head to Costco and just as I had parked, the technician called. Sigh....I felt really bad as I expressed my frustration with him but wasn't his fault. I turned right around and went home.

CM Heating was and is a great company to work with.  I had a HUGE job done.  
* Changed from electric to gas
* Moved water heater from indoor closet to garage
* Ripped out old furnace, air conditioner, and water heater and put new ones in
* Installed more intakes in the ceiling upstairs for better climate control
* Ran gas lines throughout the house that weren't there previously.
It was a HUGE job, as I said, and there were a few hiccups but CM Heating worked with me and got them figured out.  

A big shout out to our salesman Rusty (he knows his stuff and I met with 4 different contractors, one of them didn't even ask any questions besides what you wanted to have done and left within 5 minutes), Kevin who did most of the installation (super friendly and knowledgeable) and Debbie who works in the office and has always been super helpful with everything! She even talked to PSE for me to get the gas lines figured out.  

Bottom line I highly recommend you give them a call for any of your home heating/cooling needs.

Amended an old review. I was contacted by a manager or VP and CM and he was very apologetic and explained that the company had gone under several changes since my service was performed.

He was polite and offered to perform a free service or refund the original fee I paid. I chose the refund and it arrived in 3 days.

I'm a fan of companies that own up to their mistakes and make it right in the end.

I had utilized CM Heating back in 2011 to install my gas fireplace. It was a great experience. I recently used them to install a new furnace and air conditioning. It too was a pleasant experience. They were prompt, extremely professional and willing to answer even the simplest question without being condescending. Their three bids were very competitive  and since I had a previous experience with them I felt very comfortable with selecting them to install my equipment.

The icing on the cake was my water heater installation. As fate would have it, three days after my A/C was installed my 7 year old hot water heater started to leak. It was under warranty so I contacted the company who installed it (Brennan). They sent out a technician and after charging for the visit, he let me know what I already knew; my hot water heater was toast. After he discussed the issue over the phone with his office, he informed me that the office would call me the following day regarding the warranty. Getting ready for work the following morning and it being day 2 of 54 degree showers I decided to call the original installers. The person answering the phone told me the individual who handles warranties wouldn't be in until 9:00. At this point I could have cared less about the warranty I just wanted a hot water heater. She insisted I wait until he calls.

At 9:30 I received a call from the original company to be informed  that the heater was under warranty but I would have to pay labor and additional parts. He also stated the soonest he could get someone out would be 06/02/2016. That would have been a 7 day wait. I told him to forget about it.

Realizing that if I didn't act soon there would be no way to get a water heater that day. I called CM and gave them the model number of the heater I had. They had a replacement and were able to fit me in that afternoon. They actually arrived a little earlier than promised, installed the heater in record time and did an outstanding job and price to the 50 gal tank was extremely competitive. I really appreciate how they fitted me in, even with the three day weekend. CM has my business from now on. Outstanding local company! I would highly recommend CM!

Hi, we originally chose CM Heating through the positive reviews on Yelp after our condensation pump seized on our tankless water heater and furnace.  Beau was quick to respond to our house and was very friendly and professional.  He installed a new pump which he had from the supplies on his truck. I noticed a little later that the clear hose that pumped the water out of the tank might have been leaking as it was damp.  I called CM Heating back and they had Beau come back out and fixed the issue.  We are very pleased with the customer service and their effort to make it right and make sure we were happy!  Great job!

We recently hired C&M heating and AC to install a heat pump in our home.  Our furnace had to have modifications to adjust for the way things needed to function. From our first meeting with the sales rep to the dealings with  the technicians, our experience was 5 star.  Impeccable care of our home and detail to every need were met.  John, the General Manager has incredible staff who compliment him as their GM.  The staff show they enjoy what they do. John called us to make certain everything was being done to our satisfaction. I would never recommend another company to do your heating or AC. I can promise you, you will not walk away from your experience disappointed. Every business should lay out the RED CARPET like C&M does for their customers. Outstanding work C&M!!

I have been using that company for 2 years now.  We used them for maintenance, new installation and repair. Every time, it was done professionally and if you are not happy, they will try to fix it. They installed our central AC last summer, they repaired our tankless water heater. Today, they were supposed to come and give us an estimate to fix the air flow in my bedroom. After 20 Minutes, he said he fixed it, and for free, because it was only a closed damper. I mean, WOW! I don't know many companies that would do that! They also do our maintenance for our furnace, tankless water heater, gas fireplace and central AC. They stand behind their work and if I could give more stars, I would.

Selected them on thoughtfulness of their salesman and price to replace our furnace and water heater and add A/C. They had some mis steps communicating the scope of the job through the phases of the job, and mis-judgement on the time and resources needed to complete the job on the timeline agreed. They are very focused on providing great customer service, but didn't have the resources to react and still meet expectations when things got sideways on the schedule. In the end I was offered several options to mitigate the inconvenience of being without a furnace for a week. The work is high quality, all of the staff are very courteous.

After a frustrating weekend of trying to find a company that could help us with our ancient furnace and blown-out water heater, it was CM to the rescue!  Quote offered was price paid, and although it was a longer job than expected due to some shady work by previous owners, the guys did an awesome job.  Our house is a distance south of where these guys are located, but they are now on our permanent home-repair list.  Thank you!

We recently had CM Heating install our new furnace and heat pump.  This company is a good... as in REALLY good.   Easy to work with, friendly and very professional.  From the first meeting with Mike P., to scheduling with the office, to the install with Andrew, Mike M. and Logan, we couldn't be more impressed with every encounter and interaction with this company.  It comes down to trust, and we are so happy that we found them! Highly recommend!!!

Really disappointed.  I used CM earlier in the year to service the furnace in the home I recently sold.  The guy was courteous and professional and the rate was as honest and expected.  So naturally I called them back to have a mini split system installed in my new home.  To my dismay they quoted an outrageous price for a three head plus condenser setup.  It was literally three times the cost of hardware.  After much reading about companies price gouging on these systems I'm resigned to the fact that they aren't anything special and just another company in the pile.  To anyone else reading this please, please do your homework on these systems before taking out a small car loan to pay it off.

Update:  I had a beef with CM Heating about a service call but when I complained, they were very apologetic and refunded the charge.  (Basically the repairman came out and gave me a quote for a new water heater instead of inspecting the one I have.)  Recommendation to customers:  make sure they understand what you need when scheduling a call; they won't necessarily volunteer it.  Second recommendation:  try to have them message you when they're about to head for your home, so you don't have to sit at home through a whole 4-hour appointment window.

No input on new installations of water heaters and HVAC, which seems to be their main business.  I don't know if the quote I was given is competitive.  But they seem to be a solid, well-run company.

I cannot say enough good things about CM heating, we have chosen them two times now, the first time was to clean and inspect our chimney when we first bought our house in September. The second time was actually yesterday, to re do the fire bricks in our free standing wood stove and it looks amazing. I didnt even know out fireplace had a brick bottom until the guys came out ( I dont think the previous owners ever had them replaced) I appreciated them letting us know the price beforehand, since we had a little issue on it, but once i talked with both the man at the house and them at the office they honored their original price. All in all,  we really respect and appreciate this bussiness, and will reccomend to everyone we know.

My experience with CM Heating has been great! I am an interior designer and work for a custom builder.  I recently (4/2015) was in the middle of a 1920's remodel in which the owners wanted to convert the log-burning fireplaces to gas inserts.  John and his whole staff were extremely helpful in the decision making process, gave us a clear and concise bid, and did a great job on install.  I had one concern with the product, and John quickly resolved it by ordering to part to make sure our experience was A+ - and it was! I highly recommend John and CM Heating.

I can't say I'm all that impressed with the follow thru and customer service at CM.

I called Monday November 23rd to order parts for my gas furnace after the tech was out last month to diagnose the problem. Service Manager, I forget his name, said I'll call the vendor, get your parts in and we'll be out there Friday or Saturday. I asked is that possible since it IS Thanksgiving? He said not a problem bc they're working. I didn't hear back Monday or Tuesday so I called again this morning since it's 25 degrees out and we don't  have heat except for a couple space heaters!

Well a woman from the office calls back says she looked at the PO and can schedule me for NEXT Monday! What happened to Friday or Saturday as your service manager promised? She said well we're even squeezing you in in between jobs as it is on Monday. So I said you do realize bc of your mistake of not ordering parts until today instead of Monday as requested makes my family go another 2 DAYS without heat and low temperatures are  supposed to be in the teens?! No apologies. No offer of a discount. Parts and labor, the bill is $500!

Again, I'm not all that impressed so far with CM Heating and I'm just trying to get an appointment and parts for repairs. I may update my review come Monday after the repairs are done. As of right now, I won't refer anyone to this company.

UPDATE 12/9/2015..... As requested, service was completed Saturday Nov 28th as agreed. It is great to have heat again! I appreciate the efforts CM made to provide a discount and service on a weekend. I'm satisfied with the extra effort. Next, I need a maintenance service scheduled on the furnace and will be using CM for that also.

So refreshing to deal with an honest and reliable company. These guys serviced our AC unit in our office two years ago and they were professional, showed up on time, did the work we needed, didn't try to upsell us. Super easy. So it was a no brainer to call them when our heater died during a cold snap (oh no!!!). They were able to get out next day to diagnose. Technician Drew was friendly and seemed to know what he was doing. Their office sends an automated email to let us know the technician was on his way (and included a photo of their tech, which was a really nice touch, adding some safety and security to the process). He explained the problem and ordered the part. Unfortunately I guess the part number was wrong, because when he came back it was the wrong size. So they had to order a different part (which was more expensive, darn it). But we needed the repair, and I do believe them that it was an honest mistake. They kept us informed throughout the process and got our heat back up and running as quickly as they could (showing us on his tablet how the only available part was being shipped from Eugene Oregon, for example).

Our 20-year old furnace got red-tagged just before Christmas.  CM Heating was able to get someone out first thing Monday to scope things out and a couple days later we had a new furnace.  The installers were very personable, professional and efficient.  I would not hesitate to hire them again.

I had CM Heating come in and redo all of the ducting in my 1926 home. It had a mix of old oil heating ducts and several runs for the gas heat that didn't work efficiently at all. Lyle designed a plan utilizing the output of my furnace that heats the whole house completely and I couldn't have been more pleased with the installation by Wayne, who custom made all of my ducting which is very impressive looking and performing. Money well spent and I wish I had done it years ago.

I woke up to a cold 55 degree house on a Saturday morning in January. John with CM to the rescue! He was so helpful. He allowed me to send him pictures of our furnace to help determine which parts we needed. Their customer service is beyond anything I've ever experienced. Thank you John, we'll be back!

I have always been happy with C & M Heating, however, when my gas fireplace would not stay on, I called and the fireplace guy was sick so they sent another guy who I found out later who was not normally one who works on fireplaces. He said that my wall switch must be bad, so I bought a new one for $85. Also, paid for $89 for him to show up at my house.
As it turns out, the switch was not the problem. The fireplace would still not stay on. Called again and a few days later they sent out the fireplace and he replaced a part inside the fireplace. Works perfectly.
I called the office and asked for $85 for the switch since that was not the problem. They were only willing to split the cost of the switch because after all I do have a new switch.
I will not use them anymore to service my furnace or fireplace.

Recently, we moved to a new home and had to call and ask for weekend service. Charles was fantastic! I ended up choosing another heating company closer to my home, but I want to give CM some points for being very responsive to my need for a new furnace.  Their communication was very good, and they gave me a much better than average assessment of what I needed for a good heating system.  Their service manager, John was very helpful

Had CM Heating out to service our furnace just as we were selling our house, they came out quickly and discovered the furnace was dead!  They were there when someone was looking at the house, were very careful to speak to me privately.  Got us a quote to install and were able to do it in 2 days to have it installed and running perfectly before the house inspection.  Great company, great employees.  Will definitely use them for continued service on the furnace at our new house.

We hired CM heating to remove an oil heating system and replace it with natural gas, as well as replace an electric water heater with a natural gas water heater.  It was a big job.  It has been over a month now, and the furnace and water heater are working well.  Everyone I interacted with was professional and friendly.  They offered me a good price as well.

Our furnace was acting up, yet again (well it is 16 years old), so my husband called CM Heating. We've used them in the past for service on our furnace and had great service. Ken was our service tech today. He was extremely professional and respectful of our house. He was very friendly and only did what was needed to service our furnace. SO great knowing that we are dealing with an honest company. Thanks Ken for your time and professionalism today. I had another company (furnace Doctor) install a new furnace 6 years ago and have nothing but problems. I've had 3 pressure switches and 4 control panels installed since installation. The owner of Furnace Doctors (John) was irritated every time I had to call with issues, like it was my fault. The unit always gave the same fault code and the tech would come out and spend 5 minutes only to say it needed a switch or control panel. Last week it shut down again and since it is now out of warranty, I decided to try another company. I'm so glad I found CM Heating. The first tech determined that it needed another pressure switch, but only after spending about 3 hours trying many other options. Please keep in mind that the furnace decided to work on the day that they showed up, making it very difficult to diagnose the issue. They ordered the part and called to work with my busy schedule the next day. This time, Steve showed up to install the switch. He is their senior tech and I'm very glad he is the one on the schedule that day. He installed the switch, but took the time to ensure that the switch was actually the problem. As it turns out, it was not the switch. He spent another 3 hours on the phone with the manufacturer trouble shooting the issue. It turned out to be an obscure issue that almost never fails on my type of unit, a plugged up pressure line. Most likely this was the issue all along. This company employes quality techs that take the time to make sure your issues are actually fixed. They also did not try to bill me for additional diagnostic time. I can't recommend this company and their techs enough! Steve, you are  one determined guy. Thank you.

My Bosch tankless water heater went out a while back. I called and made an appointment with C.M. Heating for one of their people to come work on it. I took time off work to be at home when they came. Three days later, but still three days before my appointment, they left me a message saying that they couldn't honor their schedule. More business had come up and they bumped me off the list. I scrambled around and found somone else to come help me out. If you ever need heating, cooling, or waterheater work I recommend you do the same.

This is an update to another review I posted about a week ago for this company.  I was a bit frustrated after our first visit and mentioned some concerns.  To their credit, they were very proactive in reaching out to me and doing what they could to make sure I was satisfied.  And I am now.  I have a house in Everett with a pretty old furnace that needed some maintenance done and to make a long story short - it's handled and CM Heating took good care of me. These guys are a smaller company based in Everett and I prefer to do business with local guys and they do fit the bill for that. My schedule is rather hectic these days and they actually were very accomodating in working with me regarding that too.  Anyhow, they're a fair company that seems very reasonable so they get and deserve a solid good review out of me.  Thanks John for caring about the things so many other companies seem to care less about - your work and your reputation.  Good job CM.

After an awful experience with another company, I was very happy with CM Heating's quality of customer service on a recent furnace tune up. The serviceman was prompt, knowledgeable, and friendly. He pointed out a dangerous situation with my water heater vent, and fixed it for me at no extra charge. I was really pleased with the professionalism of the service, and would definitely recommend them.

I had my New heat pump installed in September. I cannot recommend CM Heating more highly! I am a business owner and I demand the best from my employees. CM Heating  went above and beyond to make sure that my installation went smoothly and all their personnel were courteous and respectful of my time and my home. They came in on budget and like any large project, some small problems can arise. In this case I had a part that failed shortly after installation  that resulted in a higher than normal power bill. When I brought this to the attention of their service manager,  I was reimbursed without any delay or hastle! They  ordered the part and made sure that the tech was out the very next day to get my system working properly and cut me a check for the added cost of my my power bill so I was not out the money. In this day and age it is rare for a company to have such high integrity as CM Heating has! If you are looking to have your furnace or heat pump installed or repaired, your first call should be CM Heating!

I made an appointment to have my furnace looked at.  The woman that answered the phone told me the guy would be out in the late afternoon.  I said round 3 or so and she said yes.  Around noon the guy called and said he was headed out to my place.  I wasnt home and had to cancel another appointment at Les schwab to meet the guy.  Being frustrated, i called the woman and told her that their was a miscommunication.  She immediatley cut me off and kept saying she doesnt give specific times.  I told her i realized this, but I reminded her of our conversation where I said round 3 and she said yes.  I told her I assumed that meant 3.  I was just calling to voice my displeasure about having to rush home and all that.  I was never rude to her.  SO, about 2 min later the repair guy called me and told me he wasnt going to work on my furnace.  I just laughed.  Apparently calling this business and pointing something out that bothered you is a huge no no.  DO NOT do business with this place.  I will say tho, the technician guy, steve, was polite to me on the phone.  The woman at the office tho is the reason I will never do or send business there way.
