I cannot rave enough about the service here. I had a badly leaking bathtub faucet that had moved from a drip to a constant dribble. Not good. The fixture is an older Grohe model, something that regular hardware stores don't stock... Steve showed up when he said he would, took a look at the problem, snapped a few pictures, and said he thought they might have the parts I needed in stock at their shop.

He showed up the next day, exactly when he said he would, and had the parts in hand. He fixed it expertly, and then unclogged the tub for me as well just because he's a good guy! It was also way cheaper than I'd expected. These guys are total pros, and very easy to work with. Highly recommended.

Really good service. The guy showed up on time, did the work on budget and on schedule. Then I had a question about one of the things he installed, and he came back to my place to explain it, no charge. Two thumbs up.

So efficient and really polite. They fixed our garbage disposal last year and did a great job at a reasonable rate.

I'm happy to write an update from my previous negative review.  I received a call today from Mike, the plumber from Capitol Hill Plumbing who did the work at my apartment building.  After explaining my frustration with their work (see details from my first review), he understood why I was frustrated and agreed to refund the service fee for the second visit ($100).  I thought this was excellent customer service, and I appreciated hearing from them directly.

I will write another update (and upgrade my review to 5 Stars) when I receive the refund check from the company.  But in the meantime, Mike has shown a high degree of integrity and professionalism, which is really essential in the service industry.

Yeah, someone driving a Capitol Hill Plumbing truck on I-5 at rush hour nearly hit my car just now because he was repeatedly looking at his phone and texting rather than paying attention to the road. Perhaps you should remind your employees that it's illegal to text and drive.

ZERO complaints about Capitol Hill Plumbing, Their staff did an exceptional job fixing up my tenant's water heater! Big shout out to Fred for his outstanding professionalism, efficiency and overall knowledge of setting up our new water heater system. Fairly priced, punctual, efficient, and friendly. What's not to like??

OK..so after living without hot water for 2 weeks while we wait for a part to come in....the plumber says..Well I don't know when it will get here so I DROVE to a part store and bought one!!!!     WHAT!!!!   He gave me the receipt...the part place is 3 miles away!  WTF?  We had to live without hot water for 2 weeks because a part didn't come in...but the part could have been purchased 3 miles away!!?    They had originally offered that we could pay a rush fee of $120 to get the part in a day or two....basically I think they jacked us because we didn't opt to pay the rush fee...which was pretty much just a made up fee to begin with.   They also charged us for the 15 minutes that the guy showed up EARLY!!  The plumber said he would be here at 9:15am...but since he got here at 9am and no one was here to open the door (I got here at (9:15), they charged us.....!!!!!  I feel that these guys are fools and scammers.  Don't use them.

Denver did an excellent job fixing a old and badly leaking faucet for one of my tenants. He was both easy to talk to and understand, as well as professional. He even warned me that my tenant had dangerously altered her gas hot water heater. Great people, great company, highly recommended.

We own a Capitol Hill rental home, whose gas furnace quit the afternoon before New Years Eve, in the middle of a cold snap! Why don't these things break in the summer? And what are the chances you'll find a repairman who can take care of it RIGHT NOW? Pretty good if you call Capitol Hill Plumbing! The next morning at ten, the repairman was here; he spent three hours diagnosing and fixing, and when he left our friends had their heat back! The alternative was to wait till the next Monday morning (four days away), if we were lucky, just to get someone over to look at it, while the house was kept sort of warm by some space heaters.

Capitol plumbing/good services was very responsive, friendly. They came to our house to install a dishwasher. The only downside is the $155 or so they charged us per visit but I guess this must be the going rate. Overall I would recommend them.

had them replace a water heater that leaked. Cost about $1280 installed for a 50 gallon Bradford white gas unit. Did some research and found out that they charge just about middle of the road.

The installer (Rob, I think) was very nice and courteous. I give them credit for customer service, promptness, and making sure to answer all my questions and provide options and advice when necessary.

Three stars (A-OK) for a smooth transaction. Will see how the water heater holds up over the next year or so and upgrade my rating.

One last thing - if you're looking for a water heater replacement, I suggest you explicitly ask them to install the new heater inside a drain/leak pan (mine wasn't on one, thus water damage). I was a little annoyed that Rob didn't suggest (or better yet, just do it).  Kinda too late once its installed. My only recourse now would be some sort of moisture alarm. That sorta thing is much more effective if there was a drain pan to set the alarm in!

Oh, Pleeeze.  I had a leak at the turn-off valve of my toilet on the main floor of my 11-yr-old townhouse.  I was charged $158 plus tax for wha could not have been more than 20-25 minutes of work.  Since no parts were priced out on the bill, with tax I paid $173.01.  Now plumbers still aren't lawyers.....are they?

We had a problem with our basement toilet a couple months back and we called on these guys. Delivery of total prompt service is a major plus in my book - they didn't charge an arm and a leg either - it was fair.

So I had a hot water line leak in a basement bathroom, and was hesitant to run any hot water throughout the house for fear that it would worsen the damage already done. That meant no shower for the parents or our 11 month old daughter. Not good. I called Stan at 415pm PST. He called back in less than 10 minutes to tell me that Chris was en route. Chris arrived, assessed the issue and dug in. Chris was professional, friendly, thorough and speedy. For any plumbing job - big or small - I'd highly recommend the folks at Good Services.

I live in a super old building and had this really awful leak in my tub that I had paid 2 other plumbers too much money to (not) fix.  I was afraid it might take re-plumbing the entire building to get this leak to stop.  A friend recommended Capitol Hill Plumbing. Rob came over and he knew what the problem was right away.  He told me what the other plumbers were doing wrong, and then fixed my leak in less than an hour.  I am grateful.

Rob did a great job replacing 5 angle stops for me. He arrived on time and finished the job earlier than I expected. Also, the scheduling staff was very helpful on the phone in answering all the questions I had. All-around good experience.

Aaron got everything working like clockwork. Mainly the hot water is back on! Good experience overall from start to finish with Good Services (aka Capitol Hill Plumbing). Called to get some information and was immediately passed on to the owner, Bruce, who was very helpful and said he would try as best as he could to find a technician to come out ASAP. No later than 5 minutes later did I get a call from Aaron, one of the techs, and scheduled an onsite fix for the following morning.

Aaron came around the appointed time and found the issue immediately with the Rinnai tankless water heater - apparently the issue was the gas line to the heater was not on! He flushed out the Rinnai system and inspected the furnace. Aaron was friendly, knowledgeable and did the job we asked him to with 2 thumbs up.

Overall time it took to do all this was around 3.5 hours (he had to run to the store for cleaning solution, and may have also taken a little lunch break ;P). Price seemed reasonable.

Overall a pleasure to work with and would highly recommend Good Services. Hot showers, here we come! Thanks again Bruce and Aaron.

I used to manage the Roosevelt and Disler Apartments on Capitol Hill for 10 years and Good Services (Capitol Hill Plumbing) were my Plumbing Company of choice. Their technicians are seasoned, knowledgeable and professional. The service prompt, reliable and very friendly.
Rarely had to call them back in for the same apartment twice, which was not the case with other plumbing contractors I used occasionally.
They are not the cheapest plumbing company around, but very reasonably priced for the exceptional service you get.

Such a bad experience with this company. What should have been a $280 job ended up costing over $700 due to their mistake. We called for an emergency service on Friday evening when we couldn't wait until Monday to have our water turned back on. They told us that it would only take an hour to fix. Unfortunately, the plumber cranked on the pipe way too hard and snapped it out of the nipple. At that point the hour had passed and the emergency rate was racking up (charged in 15 minute increments), so we agreed to live without water for the weekend (which is the whole reason we paid for the emergency service) and have him come back on Monday. It then took him over another hour+ on Monday to fix. When we got the bill they had overcharged us on the emergency rate and also refused to take any amount off the bill due to the plumber's poor handling of the situation. Huge waste of money and super inconvenient.

Our hot water heater on the 3rd floor burst. Fun. We turned off the water and searched for a capable plumber. I called around, checked prices and availability and found Capitol Hill Plumbing. They were reasonably priced and able to come the next morning with the right replacement. Sean arrived and hauled his gear (and hot water heater) to the 3rd floor. I should have specified must love stairs! He was knowledgeable, professional and quick. Solved some mysteries about our system and left with smile. All better!

Aaron and Carl really saved the day. We had a hot water heater that gave out on a Friday evening. They secured a new heater and installed it, all before 9 pm. I was amazed. The price was fair and good and the service was amazing! I love these guys.

After realizing that the sewage coming up in our basement needed a professions, I checked in with Yelp to see which plumbers were recommended.  After calling around, these guys were the only ones who could make it in on the day I called.  I loved that they called me to confirm the time of when one of their guys was dispatched, and then he arrived on time!  Rob was great.  He was hard-working, thorough, and tidied up after he finished.  I'm very thankful for the service! I will be calling you again when those roots need a 'haircut'.

I've only written one other review, for I'm looking for exceptional, one way or the other. These guys are the best.  I tried Capitol Hill Plumbing after reading the yelp reviews because I got myself in a pickle.  I took out the stem of a tub/shower  hot water , which was leaking in an intolerable slow drip for a rental. Just wanted to replace the washer. When I tried to put it back together, I was stymied.  The seat, which usually screws deep into the wall plumbing, simply would not.  In despair, I called CHP (also called Good Services.  Steve came out within a bout two hours and was confused, too.  Finally, he figured out that it was very unusual (1967 plumbing) and screwed into the stem itself.  No parts exist for this, so we put it back together and it didn't drip for the moment.  Steve told me where to go to order a new stem made.  I got the bill and --guess what?-- no charge.  Yes, no charge.  He explained on the bill that he was also confused initially (nice touch) and that we figured it out, as in together. They suggested newer faucets and , by gum, they will be the one to put them in because , how dang fair can you get?  I want to buy the guy a dinner, a drink or a pack of smokes at least.  This is old-fashioned service that is just plain decent.  Try to find that at the rip-off start freakin' places.
