Very disappointed with the service I just received. I was charged for the plumbers to work in the crawl space and then an additional charge because my crawl space was tight. I also had to wait 2 days after they started the repairs for them to finish. I will not be recommending Mr. Rooter to anyone that asks me for plumber recommendations.

Fast, friendly, experienced. Karen on the phone was a pleasure to deal with. The technician, Travis, was also friendly, prompt, experienced, and did an excellent job. He even offered a tip or two on an unrelated plumbing issue. We are very happy with the work and customer service!

I had a leaky shower, so I scheduled an appointment with Mr. Rooter of Williamsburg and they sent their technician over. He diagnosed the problem as a failed valve inside the handle assembly, and he quoted me $397. I should have declined and shopped around, but this has been a persistent problem and I just wanted it to go away. The job took about 30 minutes, but they still charged the full price. I felt the service provided didn't warrant that high of a bill, so I called their office asking for an itemized bill. The customer rep told me we charge by the task, some services take 6 hours, some are shorter. I tell people we are not the cheapest or the most expensive, but we'll be there. He refused to provide an itemized bill, and that was the end of the call.
TL/DR: Don't recommend them. They charge by the task regardless of long it takes, and I just paid $397 for a 30 minute repair. They wouldn't provide an itemized bill.

Excellent service by two very competent professionals. They even found a previously undetected gas leak in my water heater. Cannot recommend them strongly enough.
Good service but way too pricey for my daughter in Newport News. Way too pricey and they say it is the discounted price. They will not give you a price for the service when you call the office.
Was told 361 to clear line by toilet and charged 257.74 to remove and reset toilet, , 474.90 for video camera inspection that took less than an hour but automatic two hour charge. $$$$$

Long story short I do not recommend Mr. rooter. I did not have a good experience even though I got my repair completed. I basically paid them $300 for a $5 part. I was denied a military (19 years active duty currently) discount even though i had the conversation with the technician about it prior to service...he told the front office he did not recall me saying so. Avoid them at all cost if you are looking for someone to do the job right the first time and to understand the professionalism required in customer service.

Redid our shower. Bathroom was wood and they cut it up, so it could not have been replaced/reused. Had to use a plastic type material. The contractor working on our house submitted a bill to me for $850 to fix the damage cause by Mr Rooter. I sent them the bill and they won't pay for any of the repairs in bathroom. They did agree to pay for area behind tub.
This company has many good points also, great service, but to stick me with that large bill was uncalled for. They should guarantee their work and not with that good neighborly crap. I think working with wood was to much for them and they basically ruined my bathroom
Was given a fast appointment for leaking P-trap in my kitchen. Fixed in no more than 10 minutes. Wyatt was excellent and they're extremely efficient and professional.
I had a particularly stubborn problem with a leaking shower fixture. Mostly due to the fixture being a piece of junk but it came with the house. Leslie came out and patiently worked through two days of high adventure. Throughout the repair he was pleasant and professional. This is the second time I've used Mr. Rooter and I now ask for Leslie to be my assigned technician.
Excellent above and beyond service, contacting me to be sure that everything they selected and ordered was exactly what I wanted! They were good at keeping me informed of when they would be coming out and even on their way out. When problems occurred during the plumbing installation process , they fixed it right then and there for the discounted price that I got with the plan. They were there till 9 o'clock at night the same reasonable price They had quoted. They were very careful with their work and to keep the place clean. I've never had a better plumbing Experience, only ones that equaled it and only two plumbers where I used to live who would qualify in the same league. Be sure to call them first at Mr Rooter and be sure to use them! They are fair, their price is reasonable and the work is exceptional

Awesome job - Mr Rooter of Williamsburg was great. From the moment we called until the job was complete, the entire team was outstanding. If you want customer service and professional work - call Mr Rooter of Williamsburg.
From the office staff to the technicians, my experience with Mr. Rooter was very good. Things were explained to me in a way that I could understand what was happening. I believe the customer service and the professional way this was handled rate them a good company to call!

They charged me $69.95 to come out and assess the hot water heater. (The property is only 4 miles from their business and the evaluation took less than 5 minutes). Their estimate was $600 more than the company I ended up going with. Unfortunately, you are out that $69.95 if you don't use them.
Their prices are high. Shop around. I ended up using Comfortable Climate Heating and Air Conditioning out of Gloucester. They gave me great service.
I did not hire this company. They were to slow to responf. We had no water in our kitchen due to the leaking garbage fisposal, I had to turn the under counter water off. The next day it was repaired by someone else, while still no reply from this conpany. I am sorry, but I call them as I see them.
A lot of people seem to think that plumbers should charge $10-$25 for a repair. Plumbers are specialized in what they do, so you pay for the expertise.
With that said, I noticed a leak underneath the kitchen sink, knowing nothing about plumbing but having used these guys countless times, I knew what to expect and I was not disappointed.
Brent and Steve came out, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in under 45 minutes.
The time before that the cast iron drain pipe inside my walls split down the middle causing water to pool up behind the wall, Daniel came out that time and knocked it out of the park.
These guys may not be the cheapest out there, but they are the best and they will fix your issues.
Thanks again guys, I'm sure I will be contacting you again in the future.

We needed to replace our toilet and have the supply line redone. The technicians showed up at the appointment time and were professional and courteous.
They did a great job!
Great response times, professional. Travis and Gordon were kind and professional., Autumn really sweet. BUT they charged me for removing and replacing the trim in order to get the heater out and new one in; then the replacement trim job was sloppy at best. I complained and they promptly returned but I had to convince Travis of what needed to be done and he called for confirmation/approval (?),then proceeded to redo the job. Let me add that I was charged for the trim job initially and it STILL isn't done well. At that point, I just wanted to be done with them and now have to pay someone AGAIN to have it done correctly and to my satisfaction.
I recently had to replace my water heater. I called at 8:30 AM and the tech was there at 9:30 AM. Kristen in the office kept me updated on when he would arrive, etc. She also did a follow-up after the work was done to make sure I was satisfied. It was a very hard job because the water heater is in a small attic space on the second floor. Leslie was the tech and he did a great job. I would use them again and recommend them as well.
Not recommended. Expensive, disorganized and unable to keep an appointment. This company rescheduled their visit 4 times before finally arriving at nearly 8pm days after the originally scheduled appointment.
This company charged 300.00 for a simple change out of a garbage disposer. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to do this. My brother in law didn't know any better and paid this con for this. I can't stand it when a company cons older people that don't know any better for a simple service job. If you don't have a problem with a company stealing your hard earned money this company is for you. If you do have a problem with a company running a con like this ask them to leave. Please take the time and call around to other companies before letting this company in your house. The reason they were told it was so high is because they didn't by the disposer from him, are you kidding me. Shame on you !
