Let me preface this by saying THIS IS NOT A FAKE REVIEW. A complete joke of a company.
If I could give less stars I would. This contractor was the most unprofessional 'professional' I have ever come across. He was assigned to my claim of a leaky water heater by my home warranty company. At first I was excited. We placed the claim on Wednesday, November 6th. He reached out to us on Thursday, November 7th and said his first available opening was on Friday, November 8th but would let me know if he had a cancellation and could come earlier. He did have a cancellation and was able to come on Thursday the 7th.
He told us it could take approximately 1 week and even though I hoped for faster service, I understand there was a holiday (Veterans Day) and the water heater needed to be ordered. I didn't hear anything from him all week and I finally reached out to him on Thursday, November 14th asking if he had an update. He said he had the equipment and could come install the water heater on Monday, November 18th between 10AM-12PM. I took the day off work to make sure I was home and ready.
On Monday, November 18th at 10:06AM I received a TEXT from Daniel telling me he had van issues and needed to cancel the appointment. He also told me he would contact me that evening to reschedule. Then NOTHING, no contact, no calls, no texts, NOTHING. I reached out to him on Tuesday, November 19th at 4:39PM. NOTHING. I reached out to him on Wednesday, November 20th at 12:22PM. 4:31PM and 6:29PM. Finally at 7:15PM, he TEXTS me saying he can come tomorrow (Wednesday, November 19th) anytime after 12. His text says 'I literally just got my van back.' Before I can respond, he sends me another TEXT at 7:29 saying those appointments have all been filled by others and it will have to be 'Friday or this weekend now.' I just was hoping to have it done before Thanksgiving since I had family coming.
Thursday, November 21st, he tests me at 2:03 saying he can come tomorrow (Friday, November 22nd) between 2-4PM and to please confirm. I say yes and take yet ANOTHER day off work. Friday comes and goes. NO communication whatsoever concerning the appointment. NO SHOW! I reached out to him at 3:19PM, 3:46PM, 3:55PM and 8:04PM. No response. I reach out to him on Saturday, November 23rd at 7:26AM, 10:06AM, and 3:32PM. Still NOTHING.
He finally TEXTS me at 5:04PM apologizing and said 'Looks like my text never went through Friday. I'm just getting my messages now. I can be there tomorrow (Sunday, November 24) around 12.' So I skip church and change family plans to be there. GUESS WHAT???? NEVER SHOWED!!!!!! Surprise, surprise.
He messages me at 9:59AM telling me it will be between 1-2PM but he is still coming. Then again NOTHING. I reach out at 10:24AM and 1:24PM. He messages me at 1:30PM telling me is running an hour behind schedule and that 'Things don't always go as planned. I ask him if that means he will be there at 3 and then he tells me that I can reschedule for tomorrow (Monday, November 27th). UMMM NO, I am not taking off another day of work for you!
At 2:12 he messages me and says his van won't start and he is waiting on a tow. In the message he says this I can't say sorry enoug hand I'm sure I will get a terrible review. I am done with this mess. He reaches out at 9:36PM on Sunday the 26th and says he has to have a new starter installed on his fan and will come whenever it is done on Monday the 27th. I let him know he needs to come on the 27th or else I am contacting the Warranty Company to let them know how bad he was.
The last communication I got from him on Monday, November 27th was this I was just about to text you. They are still working on it (the van). I'll notify First American to have another company come out then.
He never showed any remorse, never showed any desire to make things right.
My questions are this?
Where is my water heater? First American ordered it and had it sent to you?
Do you only have 1 van? Rent another one and keep your appointments.
Do you have other clients? I cannot be the only one you cancelled on.
Texting really? How unprofessional.
I also complained about him to my Home Warranty Company. I hope they never contract with him again either. What a terrible company with even worse service.
