These guys did a number of small jobs for me - installing a few new outlets, new light fixtures. They were reasonable, quick, did good work and were easy to work with. I have since hired them to do additional work. I will use them for all my electrical needs in the future. Highly recommended

HIGGINS ELECTRIC -- DREAM TEAM TURNED IT AROUND. Must read!
New to the Media area, just closed on a condo and 1 day later ...
ELECTRIC ISSUES!
With specific electric outage switch issues throughout the new (but dated) place (ie kitchen, dining room and bedrooms).
I thought I was being Punk'd - I haven't even unpacked!
BASED ON A REFERRAL
Called HIGGINS ELECTRIC - I spoke to Theresa (so nice and solution-oriented), who put me at ease and ultimately dispatched some of their best electricians, Krista and Bob!
Krista and Bob both came (after confirming every step of the way via text or call/ their arrival, next steps etc)... masked, helpful, kind, friendly- PROFESSIONAL -- straight to the point. Like CSI-Where's this issue!? What did you experience, etc They both went to their detective work. Very thorough, asking questions and checking outlets and overhead wiring, panels, etc.
THE SOLVE/RESOLUTION
HIGGINS ELECTRIC TEAM soon identified a a random switch outlet in the condo that was rigged to control all those rooms (who knew?)
HIGGINS ELECTRIC TEAM soon updated my outdated electric wiring: replacing my kitchen ballast and switch; swapped out my dining room fixture; and updated the master bed room light/ceiling fan with LED/remote control fixture!
THE SWEET SPOT
From being so very upset, frustrated and despondent about the electricity in my 1st new place, I was immediately transformed to a place of THANKS AND APPRECIATION above and beyond! and loving the fabulous and functional updates!
HIGGINS ELECTRIC TEAM ROCKS! I recently learned this is a family owned business operating in The area over 75 years - and still going strong! you will see why... They deliver! they are knowledgeable! they are Professional and fair!

This is an exceptional company. They are my only go to company for electrical work. They've done work at my home 3 times now and I've even had them to my mother's house to install outside lights. They always arrive on time, are professional and the cost is very reasonable. When I first moved into the house, I had a another electrical company come in to replace 3 receptacles and the costs was pretty steep. I did not know crazy that cost was until I had electrical solutions in to do work and was so surprised at how much more reasonable they are. I won't even call any other company now for electrical work.

JDog was a true Godsend. On the heels of a terrible moving experience, I called JDog to help me reassemble some furniture. Buck was so accommodating, he moved some things around on the schedule and had a guy at my apartment in a half hour! In 90 minutes, Matt assembled my son's bed (a loft with a slide-not easy!), our king size platform bed frame and hung a huge mirror. He was polite but got the job done swiftly and professionally. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Happy to support our servicemen and women!

My mom recommended Mike for some work I needed done on my home because he had done a bunch of stuff at her house in Wilmington. She was very pleased with her experience, so she called to see if he was licensed in PA and willing to come to the Prospect Park area (he is/was).
He arrived with an assistant and completed the following work in about 2 hours:
- Installed a 220 volt outlet for my dryer
- Installed a dimmer switch in my living room
- Installed a fan with a light attached to it in my master bedroom
- Installed a light in my attic (with a chain pull and also a light switch)
- Removed the old wired doorbell
He was professional and cleaned up after himself. 5 stars for a job well done!

After a wireless switch in my home failed, and having been stood up twice by other electricians, I called Street Bros after seeing the great reviews. Eric, the electrician, was quite courteous, efficient, and clear in his explanation of my electrical issue- which turned out to be a finicky switch. It helps that SB's methodology for pricing (time & materials basis) was explained to me before I scheduled to have Eric come out. Should I have troubles in the future, Street Bros will be the company I call first.

Cheaper than competitors. Did a good job bringing panel up to code and installing a fixture.

Mike came out and fixed our leaking roof and water damaged kitchen ceiling. Once we got our schedules coordinated the work started moving fast! He took the time to explain what he was doing, gave me a lesson on how to spackle and even replaced my ceiling fan for free! Good neighborhood guy, polite and has some good stories. Give him a call for great work at fair prices!

I scheduled an appointment with Wes Carver Electric for September 16; they called on Sept. 14 to reschedule. I couldn't get an appointment until October 2. I asked for 2 outlet replacements and an existing porch light replacement. When I asked Andrew if he had two light bulbs on the truck for the porch light, he said he did, but they would cost $80. Fortunately, I was able to find some of my own. Andrew told me I also needed work on the breaker box in the basement. He spent about 3 hours here, a lot of that time was spent in his truck writing up an incredibly long estimate, showing my costs could be anywhere from $7288 to $1122. I chose the $1122 for the work stated above. I've used WCE in the 2015, but never found them to be so expensive. I'll look for another electrician.

We have been using Electrical Plus for at least five years and they are very quick to respond to whatever we need and do a great job.

I had the complete opposite experience of the previous commenter. We requested an estimate earlier this week, and one of the staff came out within two days, early in the morning to accommodate our schedule. He did a thorough check on all of the electrical issues in our new house, and explained in detail how each of them could be addressed and quoted what seemed to be fair prices for each. We did not actually make a follow up appointment for work done, because we have a lot of other things going on with our new house at the moment, but we did not receive a bill for the free estimate. We plan to call Brandon Electric in the medium term future when it is time to deal with our electrical issues.

George Marko might be a competent electrician, however I will never know considering I can't get him to return to the job site. Have called him over 10 times without even the courtesy of a return call.
Avoid the aggravation of dealing with a small time one man shop and hire a business man/ electrician. You'll be glad you did.

Professional electricians. Hard workers. Good people. What more could you ask for?

I hired them to do an emergency service call for an outlet that was repeatedly tripping. After reading their poor reviews online, I decided to cancel the service visit. Unfortunately (and perhaps suspiciously) they still showed up, so I decided to hire them.
They charged $225 for the service call which included no work (one worker came). They then convinced me to pay them $675 to do about 45 minutes of testing. They did not identify the problem.
In retrospect, they vastly over charged me. I only agreed to it under pressure as I was concerned about potential fire risk. They could have easily alleviated this risk by telling me that the outlet was GFCI, but chose not to provide any advice in favor of promoting their overpaid service.
While their overcharging was legal, I would recommend never hiring them.
