After living for years with a subpar gate installation, the wind finally broke one of my alley gates! I wish I had known gate repairs back then!

It's no wonder these guys are busy!  They are courteous and professional.  My quote was completely explained to me and while I did have to wait to get the gate repaired, Alex, the tech, was fantastic.  I have some other gate issues that I will be calling Gate Repairs for.

I first came across SDGF on Thumbtack when I needed a new garage key pad installed. Last summer my garage opener was malfunctioning and since Frank was so helpful the first time, I called them back again for my opener repair. I had another issue just recently with my garage springs and he came to fix it the same day with the appropriate parts on hand. SDGF's customer service, punctuality and reliability is above all the rest. Highly recommend!

Jason came out to my house, fixed the gate, installed a couple of stops to prevent the gates from opening in the wrong direction as promised.

We he arrived, we noticed the wall the gate was attached to, was separating from the house, he was able to straighten out the wall and installed a bracket to the wall and the house.

Everything is working great again.

I wouldn't hesitate to use Alpha again if needed.

I'll tell you, I don't expect much from contractors or service companies- Moving from California, I was used to poor service for high costs. So when I bought my new home I called Triple B Garage Doors to fine tune the garage doors and check for wear.  I put in a quote request through Yelp and they called within minutes. Set our appointment and they were five minutes early! Quoted cost was the price I paid! I am so happy with Triple B I can't wait until I need a new opener so I can have them install it for me!  GREAT COMPANY!!!

Scott the owner was at my house within 15 minutes of me calling for service. He was quick to assess the problems and had the door working like new within 1 hour. He was very fair with pricing and honest about what needed to be done. I will ONLY use Garage Doors America for future needs. Thanks.

Called Matt, the owner, about installing a new gate and automatic opener for our external garage.  He came out, took a look at the job and promised me a quote within a few days.  Two weeks passed, during which I sent him an email and left him a voice mail, but never received a response.

If the job wasn't right for him or he was too busy or whatever, I would have preferred he be straight with me and simply say that.  Not responding at all is unprofessional and indicative of a poorly-run business in my opinion.

They did a great job replacing/repairing the hinges and connecting bars on my iron gate. I found them responsive, friendly, reasonable and easy to work with. The turn-around time was excellent and I would highly recommend them for any metal installation or repair. Mark was easy to communicate with and seemed to care about the end result. 5 Stars!

I needed an update on my slide gate opener. Gave Gold-Standard Technology a call and the next day they came out and gave me a quote. I asked them to remove 4 or 5 young trees from my yard. They quoted me $200.00; I thought that was fair. Get this, they sawed every little tree off at the trunk, leaving the roots in the ground. What a joke!

Confrontational encounter with Joshua Pettiette on August 1, 2022...at approximately 1:50 pm. Joshua arrived to check out my garage door. He had another person with him. This was a recall to try and diagnose the problem why the door had went out of balance. He had replaced both tension springs on 12/31/2021...but within a couple of months the door slowly started to go
off balance...I texted him  a video showing him the stress the opener was
going through trying to open the unbalanced door. and told him this had been going on for a couple of months.  His comment was I only hear the rollers., but the stress continued. In late July the stress on the opener got so bad that I disconnected it from the door and operated  the door manually. I sent him a couple of text and called him asking him to return. I told him that
both the local spring distributor, COOKSON and the door manufacturer, CLOPAY had indicated a totally different set of torsion springs for my particular door, different from the ones he had installed. He refused to return without charging me a service fee. I told him that the problem appeared to be either the wrong springs or a problem with the installation of the springs. When he arrived I tried to show him the emails from both companies indicating the proper springs but he refused to discuss the matter any further and said THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT! He proceeded to work on the door adjusting the springs, etc.  and I did hear him say that there was a problem was a cable on the right side that he adjusted. He then looked at me and said I am going to charge you a service fee. I said ok but explain to me what he had done and why wasn't the problem solved when he first installed the springs. I told him that every time I tried to explain anything about his service he wouldn't listen and shut down any conversation. It was at this point that the other person with him looked at me and said SHUT THE F*** UP! At that point I felt threatened and dialed 911 telling the 911 operator that I was being threatened by a garage door service person inside my garage. She immediately dispatched 3 Sheriff's police officers and told me to go into the house. Joshua and the other person immediately left before the Sheriff's police arrived.  I told the officers the story and said I'm 80 years old with a heart condition and definitely felt threatened by these 2 people, but decided to not file a complaint.

Jaime came to replace a bent metal bar on my driveway gate and he replaced 3 broken wood slats on my side yard gate.  He and his worker got it done in 1 hour and it looks great.  Cost me $450.  Was very good at responding to my Yelp messages and was a nice guy.  And he came out within a week.  Wood slats don't match up because my wood is old and they couldn't find any old slats to use but will fade with time.  I didn't care about the color - just wanted them replaced.  Will replace them all in time.  If I had done the whole gate, was quoted $350 which was similar to other quotes.  Would definitely use him again.

I was puzzled by the last review. I have used this company for a long time and never have had an issue. It has been so long since they put in my gate that I really don't remember when it was put in. Every time the gate needs adjustment they have sent some one right over. They are friendly and helpful. So far they have not charged me for the adjustments. I would suggest that if you don't want cracks in the wood, use fake wood. Gary recommended that to me and the gate still looks brand new.
