Save Home Heat Electrician
This is an overall update review of my experience with Save Home Heat.  I started dealing with them when I selected them to install an expensive Triangle Tube combination heating boiler and water heater unit in my home.  The original installation was done in January of 2013.  Well, here we are 2 years later and I think I have a pretty good idea of how this company operates.  I am a Federal Government Inspector and have been known to be very detail oriented so hang in there...

The new Triangle Tube installation went well and looks very well done.  The only error I found was one of the new zone control valves was installed backwards which caused banging in the system.  This error was corrected within a week of my complaint about it.  Taking everything into account, my first year with the new system was problem free and I was fully satisfied.

On the free one year inspection of the unit by Save Home Heat, I was told all is well but I needed a new filter for the condensate that runs from the unit.  $300 for a new filter every year?  I did not replace this and found later that it did not need replacement - it just needed to be rinsed in water.  Lesson learned, request the Triangle Tube expert for yearly inspections.

Just short of 2 years with the Triangle Tube the issues began.  First, no hot water was discovered on 2 different occasions.  Save Home Heat sent repairmen and this was resolved.  The Save Home Heat owner agreed to cut the repair bill in half and my cost was under $200.

Then, the real issues began.  No heat or hot water.  As a matter of fact, no heat on several occasions in November when the temperatures were well below freezing.  I came home from trips to find the temperature inside my home hovering at 50 degrees.  This is when the repeated visits by Save Home Heat servicemen began.  They couldn't seem to fix the unit and I actually had to use their portable electric heaters to heat my home one weekend.  Major hassle factor at this point.  I was poised to demand a new Triangle Tube unit as this one simply did not function.  Finally, after a persistence I had to admire, Save Home Heat's expert found the likely root cause of the issues.  Many parts were replaced, the expansion tank was replaced, the Triangle Tube sales representative was present onsite, and more.

I simply wanted this Triangle Tube unit fixed or replaced. This whole scenario cost me worry and many hours of my personal time.  Save Home Heat made it right.  It was obvious to me they were not going to give up on it.  They called in Triangle Tube experts.  They sent their own expert on several occasions.  They did what it took to correct the situation.

It's been over 2 months now with everything working perfectly.  The unit was out of warranty during all of this and I was quite concerned about the cost of all these repairs.  I finally received the very thick envelope containing the repair listings and charges.  I nervously read through the pages looking for the total charge.  There it was, hand written on the last page was NO CHARGE.  Wow, here is a company that did the right thing.  Talk is cheap while actions show the real integrity of a company. This company was there to fix the problem and then do the right thing for a loyal customer.

Would I buy another Triangle Tube heating system?  Absolutely not.

Would I use Save Home Heat again?  This is the only company I will use for my heating and air conditioning needs for many years to come.  They do more than they have to and value their customers.  What more can you ask for?

Blue Sky Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric Electrician
The technician William who was dispatched to install our smart home thermostat as great. He contacted me prior to ask if coming 30 min before my appointment window was acceptable and it most certainly was and was appreciated. He worked with us to find a compatible thermostat which was involved as we have an electric heat pump and air conditioner which limited our options. He was patient, and was very committed to our satisfaction. He was instrumental in ensuring that the blue tooth aspect was recognized by our internet service and walked me through the phone app. He was committed to ensuring success and was happy to provide the education on the device as needed. Thank you for a job well done and for the excellent customer service.

Cooper Heating & Cooling Electrician
Well these guys showed up at the time they said no issues there.  I had a mini-split A/C that was producing an Error code that indicated it had a refrigerant leak that I had looked up myself in the Service Manual which I told the technician that came to do the inspection.  After performing the inspection the tech indicated that the Refrigerant line flarings were not done correctly so the unit was leaking refrigerant.  I asked him how long it would take to fix and responded about 2hours and 2 lbs of Freon.  I then asked the cost to repair and it was over $700!!!  I asked him why it was so high and after muttering some things about Freon is $25/lb I asked him what the 'labor rate was'.  He had to look it up and then replied $268/hr.

I was absolutely shocked at this labor rate.  I said that is more than what a lot of lawyers and doctors charger per hour and he agreed it was a crazy hourly rate.  I then told him I refused the repairs as I know I can find someone to cut some refrigerant lines and redo the flare joints for less than $268/hr.

After telling the tech I refused the repairs he got rather irritated as if he expected me to just pay the crazy rate and be fine with it.

Will know to ask companies like these what their hourly rate is before I send out a technician again.

Frank

Plumbline Services Electrician
Consumers beware! Do not use this company for plumbing services. They have no integrity and are lacking in customer service. I feel very taken by the way they do business. A couple years ago, I had them do a couple services to help with backup problems. Then a smooth talking representative came over to talk about mainline replacement and an installment plan. I felt manipulated, but needed help. Misplaced trust on my part. I was taken for $7000.The problem that has resurfaced again, is how they ruined my sprinkler system. At the time, I called to complain about this, was shuffled around, then told that they were not responsible and can't predict where the bucket would land. I believed at the time I was told not to worry about my  sprinklers. They denied this. Very poor customer surface. The problem resurfaced again, when I just called sprinkler people out, was told the system was totally destroyed and would cost $3000 to repair.

Fix-it 24/7 Electrician
Scheduled appointment for thermostat and c-wire install. Confirmed apt previous day with office.Following morning contacted office and learned they canceled apt because their morning (confirming) phone call was not answered fast enough. Their call was returned within five minutes, at which time we learned about the canceled apt and they had 300 other calls to deal with. If you have a serious HVAC issue, contact a company that's reliable.
