This past Colorado snow storm my furnace would not stop blowing cold air. I called even though it was a Sunday and got to talk to their after hours technician. Rico was the most helpful tech I have ever experienced. He talked me through the process to fix my furnace over the phone and was super patient and understanding. Rico is the man! Give this guy a raise.

We had an emergency come up and had no electricity. Prior to incident we were informed 24/7 services would be available. However, during this incident we were told they wouldn't be able to come out for serval days which would obviously put anyone in a difficult situation. We counted on this company to be reliable and honest and they were a let down on all accounts.

I have been in Commercial const. for over 30 yrs as a business owner. They responded to a commercial construction problem on a Saturday with promptness and good communication. I was VERY glad that the service Tech didn't try to up sell me on additional work. I have stopped using companies that have their employees try to up sell other items or services. I NEVER trust these companies. Sometimes Managers think that a quick up sale is profitable, however, when the consumer realizes that they didn't need the work, they (and I) will warn everyone we know! Relationships are longer that quick sales quota's.

Beware when dealing with this company. They wanted to charge us $850 to replace a part on our furnace. I found the part for $120 online and did it myself; 25 min job. On top of that, they wanted to replace another part for an additional ~$700 - a part that isn't even broken. Found that part for $150 online and will be doing it myself when needed. I can understand that the company needs to make money, but the markup on parts/labor is ludicrous.
Also - when asked how much the parts cost, the tech replied We don't sell parts. If you want a dishonest company with inflated markups, this is the company for you.

ZERO STARS I too had a terrible experience with Applewood and would never use them again.
I lived in NH and had a house I rented out in Denver. The first time I needed a plumber I googled plumbers and Applewood came up high on the list since it starts with A. I used them at least 3 times always with a price tag of $200+ . fortunately the final time I was about to use them my tenant asked if he could get another estimate..They were about to charge over $500 for something that another plumber fixed for less than $90. I have since spoken to someone who worked for them and was told that the technicians get a percentage of the work done.
I was so disappointed in this company and now that I live here in Denver I take every opportunity to share my experience with others.

I recently booked an appointment on a Wednesday (for the following Monday am) to fix a leaking toilet. Only to get a text from their great customer service team Sunday night to say they had too many 911's (that came in that day...) and they would not be showing up for my pre-scheduled appointment the following am.
I asked to talk to their manager and/or someone to explain to me why would anyone ever schedule an appointment when they feel they could squeeze more money out of 911 paying customer.....and not keep their pre-scheduled appointments. It has been weeks and no response from anyone at AAA.
If you value your time, don't bother calling them. You will be disappointed or cancelled for someone they feel will need to spend more $$ with them.
Sadly this was not the first time I have had issues with AAA.
