Update: The owner called to discuss my reasons for a previously low  rating. He agreed to waive the Service Call fee since I am willing to have my AC equipment at my properties serviced by his company. This reflects the willingness to talk with customers about their grievances and the company's integrity and its service commitment.

Previously: Unfortunately I didn't have a good experience with this company. After reading the good reviews on Google, I was hoping that this company would be my go-to company; however it didn't turn out that way. My AC wasn't working so I called and they were very reasonable with their service call price and response; however, the technician didn't know how to fix the issue so he said he would send more experience tech out. In the mean time, I found out through my family that the EcoBee has a software glitch that was the  cause of my problem. I was able to fix the AC on my own so I called Enoch back the same day to tell them and left a message since no one answered the phone. Ten days later, I received a bill for the service call. I asked them to waive the service call fee since I was the one who fixed the AC and that they never even sent another tech out. Their reply was NO, I may pay the service call fee. I have to pay for the service call even though they didn't even know what the problem was nor knew how to fix it. Let me see, I have 4 properties that they could provide yearly maintenance on (and I told them this) but they chose to charge me $65 and forgo all future work on my 4 properties. Good riddance, Enoch HVAC

CTX Plumbing & Electrical Electrician
Did a good job of coordinating a two-fer plumbing plus electrical job and getting city permits.  Moved a laundry washer box and electrical outlets and then replaced the main electrical panel, added whole house surge protector and car charge outlet.  Donnie was helpful in referring a drywall company they regularly use who also did well.  They were also very reasonable on pricing.

Apologize in advance for the long read. Just want to list everything that I experienced with Kevin.  On 8/17/17, I called Kevin out for an A/C issue.  He was courteous and prompt with his said arrival time.  He spent about 45 min to an hour spraying my air conditioner and cleaning it.  Granted, it probably could of used it but that certainly wasn't the cause of the issue.  He then checked refrigerant pressure and some other troubleshooting.  He discovered the compressor was not kicking on with the unit and ended up installing a booster to help kick it on.  This solved the issue.  Total time was just over 2 hours.  Charge for the service was $295.  To be fair to him, I did not ask what his service charge was.  My mistake.  I asked him for a breakdown on the invoice so I could see what I was being charged for.  He stated that $195 of it was for the service call, $30 for the part and the $70 for the install.  I thought the service call was high compared to AC companies I've used in the past (this was also during normal business hours and not in the evening or weekend) but since I didn't ask in advance, paid the bill.

Today I called him again under the guise of another customer needing help but this time asked about his service call charge.  Yes, I know it's deceiving but had a hunch that he marked up his services based off of where I live.  He told me that he did not charge a service call, would determine what the issue is and then tell me what it would cost to repair.  None of which happened on my call.  At this point I broke character and stated he had did some work for me but did charge me a service call and that it was itemized on the invoice as a service call fee.  After some heated conversation, we hung up and I started writing this review.

I decided to call him back and apologize for my actions and deceiving him.  I explained why I did it and asked him to see my point of view.  I respect that he's trying to run a business and make a living but I think it should be honest.  I then asked if he would be willing to meet in the middle somewhere and make it right.  He proceeded to tell me how hard it is to run a business, that I had no idea what it takes and that if I didn't like his services or his prices, I didn't have to use him.  All of which are very true.

Just a warning for anyone that is going to use him in the future.  Ask for specifics before he comes out.  I should of asked when I initially called and I didn't.  That's on me.

Paschal Air, Plumbing & Electric Electrician
I had a faucet that needed to be installed in my kitchen sink. I purchased the high-end faucet, soap dispenser and hole covers (I have a 4 hole sink but just 2 appliances to install). James came out and gave me a quote - he was very professional and friendly. The staff at the office was very communicative and friendly as well. I hired James to do the job and couldn't be happier. The price was competitive, the work was completed in a timely manner and looks great! He cleaned up all the mess (some that wasn't even his!) and left my kitchen looking great. I would definitely recommend Paschal Air and will use them again in the future. Thanks, James and Pascal Air for a job well done!

Wow, I just put in a request last night and was able to get them to come the next morning. Not only did Luis give me a decent estimate to add two outlets in my house, but he was able to complete the job right away as well. He said we very kind and knowledgeable. He left with no mess to clean too. :) I will be using his services going forward.

Baker Brothers Plumbing, Air & Electric Electrician
BEWARE! I hired Baker Brothers on 7/12; I had blown a circuit while replacing an exterior outlet. None of the breakers appeared to be tripped in my breaker panel but had multiple dead outlets. The tech ran diagnostics on the outlets as well as the breaker panels. He commented that my main breaker box looked good. He said my pool breaker box didn't have grounding wires, and that the pool was an electrocution hazard. The first red flag went up.

After 2.5 hours, he recommended the outside meter box and wires needed replacement along with both the main and pool breaker boxes. He then climbed in the attic and said he had isolated the wire that was causing the circuit problem. Said he could fix it but wouldn't because that type of quick repair would be beneath the standards of Baker Brothers.

He gave 2 options to fix my dead circuit: 1. Replace the pool breaker box and meter box for $4,200, but recommended (of course) combining pool breaker box with the main panel for $7,000. He  charged me $300.00 and departed. I still had dead outlets.

I had to hire a different licensed electrician (Jason) for an emergency Saturday A/C failure 4 days later. Explained to him what Baker Bros. tech had recommended, and he said that it didn't make sense to him. He returned (7/21) and examined the exterior outlet, walked into my garage, and ran his meter on the panels. He then flipped a breaker in the pool panel and restored power to the outlets. Time to fix from arrival: 10 minutes. Charge $136.00. The reason I didn't find this problem was I was unaware I had 2 house circuits wired to my pool breaker box. Now I know.

The Baker tech had tested those panels and Jason said if he tested them, he had to know that it was just a simple tripped breaker. He also said none of my boxes required replacement. He showed me that my main breaker panel had been replaced in 1998, wasn't even original to my 1982 era home. He also pointed out the grounding wires in my pool breaker box, and that the pool was perfectly safe and compliant.

I wrote a complaint to Baker Brothers and was called by their customer service (7/25). The rep was adversarial and backed his tech completely. He said I absolutely needed new breaker panels and all of the recommendations the tech made were legitimate, even though another electrician fixed my problem in 10 minutes. He said if a house has a 20-year-old panel, they recommend full replacement. He said the other electrician (21 years of experience) was wrong in his assessments and ended with stating this is a he said versus he said situation. In the end, Baker's best and supported practice was to install an unnecessary  $7,000.00 replacement panel and meter box, instead of simply flipping a tripped breaker that cost $136.00. These guys are the nightmare you worry about when you hire a contractor.

A #1 Air Electrician
Scam artist! Liars! Thieves! Unethical business practices!
I scheduled an appointment for a $49 hvac tune up and condenser pad leveling quote for an investment property we just purchased. When the guy from A#1 Air, arrived he quickly (like a couple minutes) looked over the units and stated we had a non operable heat pump. He also stated the unit had mold, an incorrectly wired thermostat and sparks coming from the inside unit. We were not right next to him to witness the sparks but did smell a burnt odor in the air, which made us inquire as to what he was doing. He kept clicking the breakers on and off as if he was trying to make something spark, which seemed fishy. He then proceeded to tell us we ultimately needed a new inside and outside unit. He also said at bare minimum he could bypass the non working heat pump to run the system only off electric heat, replace the thermostat, replace the heat kit, clean the mold out of the air handler, and replace the condenser pad. All of which totaled up to $3805 in repairs.
Of course we refused to pay for any repairs and immediately called another company referred to us by a trusted source. The new company came out today and inspected the entire system and determined everything was in good working order. The technician also stated we do not have a heat pump!!! He found it amusing that the Tech from A#1 Air told us we had a heat pump and that it was not working... again our system does not have a heat pump!! There is also nothing wired incorrectly in the thermostat and no need to replace it. Come to find out an incorrect setting was on the digital thermostat... wouldn't be surprised if the A#1 Tech did that to make it appear defective. There is no mold in our unit and again nothing wrong with the unit!!! The new Tech stated all we needed was a cleaning of the exterior unit, a new pad-leveling to the exterior condenser unit and an over flow sensor on the interior drip line. All Totaling only $450.
A#1 Air are completely unethical, liars and no one should use them ever!!!

UDATE INCLUDED Below! DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY! DO NOT PAY HIM IN ADVANCE!! I have to take him to court to get my money back for services he failed to provide.
!!UPDATE! HIS RESPONSE IS AGAIN MORE LIES. I have all the texts and phone call records To prove it.  He has 1 5 star review. I did not say anything to him as he left. He makes up anything he wants and pretends it's truth. RUN from this unscrupulous person. Yeah I dropped a couple f bombs in some of my responses because he frustrates you beyond reason with lies. He owes me $160 before court costs. I offered a $100 settlement and he refused. He wants to give me just $25!  I would give negative stars, if I could.
I have never had to write a review like this. You can see my posts and usually, if someone misleads a little, I let it go.

Once he has your money, he will figure out a way to get close to $100/hour.  He will fabricate fees that he never mentions when you enter a contract with him and chargEd you for parts he recycles from other jobs and claim he bought them for you.

He has yet to provide me any reciept for a light switch that was not In a package. He also asked if he could have my brand new ceiling fans, he took down.

He was so great when I called him because I had someone else not show up and I had painters coming the next day. He said his work is phenomenal and he normally charged $85/hour BUT if I pay him $500 for 8 hours IN ADVANCE, I get deal. IT IS NO DEAL!
He came 1st day and was absolutely great for 1.5hours and I gave him his check, for services in advance.
I was flustered and rushed to get him out and get more things done before I needed to get more done before painters came the next morning. HE LOVES to kill time with chattiThat's not good when you're paying by the hour!

He also wants you to give him buildings codes and access to your place without you there. This is so he can then pad his bill.. He complained about not being able to be there by himself on two counts.

He is the poster boy for bait and switch!

I wrote an incorrect hour time on my check. I called and texted him the next morning and he confirmed I have 8 hours for $500. I also have that in writing.

He also confirmed he would come at scheduled time we agreed upon for Friday, OCt. 7th at 4:30pm and I didn't contact him Again until he contacted me that Friday. He called before our scheduled time and asked if I'm back in town? I said, umm I told you I had an appointment here in Dallas that would take me to about 4pm so 4:30pm is still the time. He launched into a whole thing about the fact he is at another job and he will be late and wanted to push out the time scheduled a week in advance. I said no, not acceptable To move to another day. I have other contractors coming that need your things done and I need them done personally as well. He finally shows up 2.5 hours late. He was clearly irritated about this.

He also left for 20 minutes, to get something from his truck as I was on the phone with my fiancé the whole time and was opening the door to find him and he comes up the stairs with yet another fabricated story about being locked out. He had his phone and could text or call for the code to glass doors he so easily forgot

Had he showed up at our agreed scheduled time, he could have completed everything and our contract could have been satisfied that night. He brings out this unpackaged almond dimmer light switch and I say, what is this? He says, it matches your other outlets... umm NO it does not?! All bathroom covers outlets are white???

We exchanged words, I left him to just get the job done and had to have his mismatched switch installed to make sure the light works.

He was done at 11:03 pm and started 7:05pm,confirmed in text,)& completed 4 hours of work. I texted next day and thanked him for installing my light. He completed 5.5 hours of total work At this point.

He texts me I only have 1.5 out of 2.5 hours left!?!? I say, 7-11 is 4 hours. He responds correct but, I went shopping and you owe me $65 for supplies and 1 hour to shop.
I said no way. You already stated you do not charge for ANY trips to Home Depot. As a handyman he is there frequently and can pick up things for multiple clients on his trips. It's not my problem you procrastinated, nor do I owe a penny for a almond fixture. He is welcome to get it! He proceeded to argue with me, make up false excuses, and then tell me to just take a $25 refund for 2.5 hours of work. Of course I said NO!

He continues to change his story-change times-alter things said and I have two witnesses that directly contradict what he says. His texts, I also have photographed, and printed his texts that contradict each other. He is a liar and a scammer. DO NOT TRUST HIM OR GIVE HIM A PENNY IN ADVANCE.

If you want him for a quick job you pay AFTER he is done, 1st time great.pay in advance, he is HORRIBLE and ARGUMENTATIVE And will 100% lie
