Established in 1968.
Founded & operated by the original owner Randall Paschal, Paschal Air started serving NW Arkansas communities back in 1968. After a little more than 40 years of steady growth, service, and commitment to excellence, Paschal was acquired by current-owner Charley Boyce. This company saved me when I needed that angel with water heater issues. Their customer service was great and  went beyond my expectations after getting traumatic experience with two other companies that came over to my house with overpriced products and services.

This guys came and was very flexible with my needs, installed everything within few hours and my home was completely in order for my families.

I will forever be grateful for your company realistic expectations and it gave hope that we still have companies that are out there for real, and bring hope and happiness to people in their unfortunate circumstances.

Super disappointed! Spoke with a really nice lady to schedule a time to visit. They were responsive. But they kept getting their visit times mixed up. I got a call that someone was on their way the day before the original scheduled time. Then I got a message someone was on their way and would arrive in 15 minutes on the day of. But an hour later they never showed. I had another appointment so I had to ask them to reschedule. Then I got a VM saying they got their times mixed up and would arrive before 12 the same day. The confusion and disorganization is not what I am looking for in a company tasked with managing the electricity in my home. I appreciate the frequent updates on arrival times. Just wish they would have actually arrived and on the day I took off work for them!

Had an electrical issue that made it to where our garage wasn't opening. Paschal sent someone out the same day and the issue was resolved in less than 30 minutes. Great/friendly/fast service all around.

2 star for replying to my quotation. They scheduled an appointment for initial quote but never showed up. After my appointment window, I messaged them to see why they didn't show up. And they never replied my message so far.

Had a water heater tank leak, they were prompt and were able to accommodate my appointment quickly, the technician came out and diagnosed the issue had us up and running the same day! Price was comparable , so because they were able to do it same day! He took time to explain and was very professional! Pretty happy with the service! Thank you!

A technician came on June 28 to fix a leak, and in the process and in front of me, let the freon go purposefully into the air, breaking EPA laws and regulations.  It is estimated they released 10 lbs of freon which they were ready to charge me for the refill ($100+ per pound). I called multiple times trying to get in contact with a manager and even the owner but every time the secretary gave me the runaround. This company is a disgrace.  Good luck getting in contact with a manager.

April '21: Big Bear replaced my air handler motor part# 60L21 ($209 at Amazon) and 75 minutes of labor...cost $872 (plus $89 diagnostic fee).  

Have used these guys for a decade and was extremely happy with them, however Big Bear has changed ownership within the last year or two.

We contacted Big Bear upon recommendation from a friend and were not disappointed.  We subscribed to their annual service plan to maintain our two HVAC systems in the house we purchased within the last few years.

It was our first major checkup and they diagnosed two failing capacitors in our heating system and showed me (on the multimeter) why they were failing.  

They also re-taped the wiring/lines from our outdoor A/C condenser units that had been damaged by rats at no additional charge.

saved me $4800!!!
Our 11 yr old unit went out.  1st AC guy came and after many tries to diagnose the problem said it was a $5k repair.  So naturally I said I need a 2nd opinion.  Well next guy said we need a new unit: another $5000 bid.  So after some research we found Big Bear:  wow turns out we just needed a new capacitor a $186 part.  It went out and caused the compressor to overheat.... The compressor is fine.  He was here less than 45 min and did the repair.  Wow!!  After having it explained to me it seemed pretty basic.  When the capacitor goes out the compressor has to overcompensate and do more work.  So it overheated!!!  Anyhoo... I expect to have to replace these units one day but seriously a $5k bid for a $200 job is just plain robbery. #ibigbear

Still the best and trustworthy A/C and Heating contractor. Serviceman Brien is great at what he does and didn't take long to find the problem. Brian like EZ (Ezekiel) were a great find for Big Bear and both are very professional and knowledgeable. I will recommend them to anyone needing service or repair.  THANKS

This is the best AC company I have ever dealt with.  I have been using them for the past 5 years.  They have replaced both of my units.  I have had other companies come out and give me quotes but I always choose to go with Bear.  They aren't the cheapest but they definitely save me money.  I have had several issues with certain rooms being hot all the time while other parts of the house are ice cold.  Bear looked at the situation and explained exactly how to fix it and gave a quote.  He did the work and guess what ..... now all the rooms are the same temperature.  He is awesome.  HIGHLY recommend him.

There was a hot time at the ol' house last night!  Our AC died.  In AUGUST.  In TEXAS.  And it's HUMID.  We managed to swim to the phone for help just after 9am and were placed on stand-by.  With confident reassurance Tasha said someone would come see about us today at some point.  So we opened the windows and huddled in front of the fan with a large bowl of lemons.  This event clearly called for lemonade. Enough to fill the Jethro-pitcher.  

The phone rang before we sliced the lemons!  Big Bear Bryan arrived by 11am, replaced a part, waited for the inside temp to drop, and was done by 11:30.  He was prompt, polite, professional, and a pleasant kind of guy.  

Today we became lifetime customers of Big Bear.  You should, too.

I called for someone to come out to help on my AC after reading the reviews and recommendations from my neighbors. The lady on the phone was so rude. She treated me like I'm stupid and didn't listen to me when I described the problem. She ended up calling back to ask for more details because she's failed to listen the first time. All she was worried about communicating to me was there would be a $89 charge on diagnosis which is fine with me. She didn't give me a timeline either. Said I have to wait all day because I'm on a waiting list. I normally get a time frame like afternoon or morning waiting from any service company. I didn't like how she treated me so I went with another company.

Great experience, the owner Diel personally came out to help me with an insurance claim when my regular a/c company won't bother. Everyone at the company I worked with was very professional and prices were very reasonable, especially compared to my existing company I use.  Needless to say, I will be using Big Bear going forward.  Diel even told me that they were working on covering extended hours so they could better serve their clients.

I've used Big Bear for maintenance since I purchased my home in 2013.  When I purchased it, I knew the A/C System was struggling.  But Big Bear kept it running, and at very reasonable repair rates.  But, as expected, I recently had to replace the system.  It had exceeded its life expectation.  The customer loyalty quote was very competitive.  Their team members are all very professional.  I feel they are very honest.  I highly recommend this company!  (By the way, my home is in Frisco.  Ignore the profile.)

Called this morning to get thermostats installed and to troubleshoot why there was no power to the head unit down stairs. Called a handy man who came and looked at the unit and wanted to charge me $600 (400 to troubleshoot and 200 to install). Couldn't justify paying that much and handy man got upset so he left. Called big bear and they were very courteous on the phone and sent Brian within the hour. Brian looked at the unit and it was a $0.50 cent fuse that had blown out. He replaced it and installed my units for less than 1/3 the price the handy man was charging. Very please with the quick work Brian did. He was very informational and helpful. Giving this 5 stars and also keeping big bears phone number for any future issues. Happy customer

I have had several issues with our AC in our previous and in our new home too, I guess living in Texas you are not immune to AC problems. Diehl has always been on time, super fast and has fixed all the issues on the first try. He is also very knowledgeable about warranties and recalls and that saved us $500 one time that our AC died. He knew about a recall and got the part from the manufacturer for free. I could go on and on about his stellar work, but just know you are in the best hands. He is very hard working and honest. Absolutely recommend!

Well I called them for a 2nd opinion on a HVAC replacement after reading all these glowing reviews. The woman on the phone was brusque and told me they would charge $89 for the visit which could be applied to any purchase. I was ok with that but just her attitude and tone of voice put me off from dealing with this company.

Don't know where to start ...  Diel Rojas answered my plea for help two days ago when I realized our AC was not working at 7pm. I had heard good things about this contractor and trusted my instincts and called and sent an email asking for urgent help.   He responded within 5 minutes and was at my house within 40 minutes. Diagnosed the issue which could not be fixed until the next day. He helped me get a floor fan set up for my husband who is bedridden.   The next day a new compressor  was installed and cool air blowing in no time. I am so very grateful to him for his compassion and dedication to his customers.  Thank you Diel for all you did!

If you're looking for good service, competitive prices, and knowledgable techs, this is the company for you!  Our upstairs unit stopped cooling on Thursday night, called Friday afternoon and they were at our home Saturday morning.  The company who put our units in (when it was built in 2006) and have done our yearly maintenance couldn't come out till the next week.  Thankfully it was an easy and fairly inexpensive fix.  We will definitely be switching to them for our maintenance and care! Thanks Big Bear!

I can do nothing but rave about the great service from Big Bear Air and Heating I received today.  My fifteen year old system stopped working yesterday in this 99 degree heat.  I sent an email request late last night and received a call from them at 7:30 this morning to put me on the standby schedule.  At around 9:00 I received a call asking if I was available in 10 minutes and I was thrilled.  Diel arrived shortly afterwards and was fantastic.  He checked the system and explained everything to me.  He was able to get it up and running in 20 minutes and I am a happy camper.  I can't recommend this great company enough.  If you're looking for an honest AC repair then call Big Bear!

I called other places and the fastest they could come out was 3+ days - but Diel with Big Bear came out three hours after I called, and the problem with our AC was fixed in about 15 minutes.  I'll never use another AC company again!

I guess I'm like everybody else on Yelp.  I have used Big Bear (and he is big - about 6' 6 tall) and have nothing to say except they are the best, most honest, reasonable priced HVAC service in the Frisco - Lake Dallas - Lewisville area.  We had been using The Colony Air and they just suck.  Found Big Bear by mistake and I will use them forever if they continue as in the past.  Honest people.  Let me say that again -- these are honest air conditioning people.  Work that was done last year was less than 1/3 the rip off price of The Colony Air.  Big Bear also found and corrected creative engineering that had been done by The Colony Air that could have caused a fire.  Big bear is not only honest, they are professional, don't have an attitude, and they were four days faster at the repair than the other worthless scum bags.  This is an accurate and honest review based on our experience and opinion.  You will LOVE these guys.  Especially in Texas.  Check them out.  We have no affiliation with Big Bear.  They're just the best!!!  Thank you.  They also don't mess up your house.

I've used a couple other AC companies in the past and never felt completely comfortable.  A friend used Big Bear and had nothing but great things to say, so I called them about replacing my furnace.  Diel, the owner, came out to my home to look at my system and give me a quote. This guy is very professional and super nice.  He was involved in every step of the process. When his crew installed my new unit, he showed up to make sure everything was going smoothly.  There is something to be said for dealing with the same person though out the process.  The two women I spoke with on the phone to schedule appointments and make payment arrangements couldn't have been nicer.  They know what's going on and have great customer service skills.  I highly recommend this family owned business to anyone in need of AC or heating service.  It's nice to know that there are still honest people out there who treat customers well.
