I needed a outdoor outlet replaced and a switch panel replaced. Virgilio showed up 15 minutes early and did a great job in repairing my outlet and switches. He was in and out. I will continue to use him for home projects he was very professional and gave great customer service.

We were looking to add 4 LED living room lights to ceiling with a smart dimmer switch, I do consider myself a good handyman..But this was a project left to experience ! And with multiple wires needed and adding a extra wall switch alongside via ceiling ya get the picture. Justin Pate (JP) runs ATX Lighting. He doesn't do any of the work nor is he an expert, which makes it hard for him to get the work done right. His business model is to sell easy jobs for journeymen. It seems to be a revolving door of employees. And as far as I can tell, JP never checks the work after it is done.

I hired JP in October 2022 for some simple additions of canned lighting and exhaust in my kitchen and bathroom. Total cost was $4600. The work was sloppy, not to code, JP was pushy and short tempered in all our interactions, by Xmas of 2022 the work was only half finished, and half the home without power. In January of 2023 I contacted JP to let him know he still needed to come finish the job, and he laughed at me and told me that whatever I still needed was between me and his worker who had since been fired or quit.

Since I had the paperwork and photos to prove that JP had not fulfilled his obligations, I logged a complaint with the app Thumbtack which I had hired ATX Lighting through. Thumbtack restricted his account until he resolved the issue with me. JP denied my complaint, and claimed his work was 100% complete. He also made up a nice story about me threatening him and how he no longer felt safe at my job site. But I had the receipts.

By February of 2023, JP began to send friends of his to finish the job, but he never himself came to inspect the previous work or understand what work was still outstanding or in need of repair. After 4 separate trips over the course of the entire month of February, which involved fixing one problem and causing another, these new workers still had not completed the job. So, I finished the work myself. The delays cost me about as much as what I hired ATX Lighting for in the first place.  

Late in the evening of February 28, JP contacted me demanding I take down my bad review. I told him he hadn't actually fulfilled his end. To that, JP told me karma is real and that he would send his friend to collect money for the recent work (of which no money was owed by me--the job having long been paid for in full).

So, this morning, March 1 2023, I'm updating my review here to set the record straight.

These guys are awesome! They were able to hang my chandelier when so many other companies couldn't do it. I couldn't be happier with the service they provided. My go to electricians from now on!

Michael Bowman is a fantastic electrician and a real pleasure to do business with.

We called him after reading many good things on the neighborhood app. He quickly came and gave a very reasonable quote for quite a bit of work, some of it difficult.

He was punctual both days and his work was flawless. To top it off, he's a really nice guy. He will always be the first person I call for electrical work.

Called first thing in the morning and he was at my house within a matter of hours. He came prepared and had the parts he needed to replace in his truck. Extremely fast and friendly service. It was so nice to get this taken care of quickly and have  the rest of my day to run errands. No one likes waiting around and I really did not have to! To top it all off, the prices were significantly cheaper than all of the other places that I called. Highly recommend!

I contacted Paul through the Yelp app on Sunday afternoon, because that's when I remembered we needed an electrician. I had purchased LED fixtures to replace the old school fluorescent lights in the garage. He answered right away, scheduled the service call for Monday morning, and emailed the service order. He arrived promptly, got the work done efficiently, and explained why the old fixture died. It was all so easy! Definitely recommend and will call him again when we need anything electrical fixed or replaced.

I appreciate you coming over the weekend and even coming back on Sunday morning to finish the job. Mr. O has great business ethics to match his knowledge and skills as a master electrician. Great work. Excellent prices. Kaleb is a great guy to work with. He swapped out some old rusty fluorescent light fixture in a carport for a new LED version. It looks great. Big improvement. He also helped with a ceiling fan inside that was falling apart. And he's coming back to replace a broken ceiling fan in another room. Very professional, excellent work.

Has 2 digital timers installed by Cory (electrician) and Tyler this morning.  Wired in accordance with manufacturer's diagram, but diagram was incorrect.  Cory hot checked and had power to the timers.  Didn't ask him to set timers because I felt it would be better to learn to do so by myself.  I attempted to set the timers for approximately 90 minutes without success.  Wasn't able to get power past the timer even with it on override.  I contacted Bryan (owner) and he would have Cory return today.  Cory returned this afternoon, checked his work and wasn't able to get power past the timer.  He contacted Bryan and Bryan was able to determine how to wire timer.  Gave 5 stars because of timely return and completion although Cory should have checked equipment for operation rather than only hot checking timer.

Called to make appointment as several of our sockets weren't working.  I tried all suggestions online to fix myself to no avail.  Instead of Lightning Electrical coming to the house, they spent 15 minutes on the phone having us troubleshoot, and their suggestions worked!  This saved us money.  I appreciate them very much and will now call them when I have another electrical issue.  Thanks very much!

Got a few quotes for installing an EV charger in the garage. Different companies provided different solutions ranging from setting up a new 50A circuit from the main line on the other end of the house to pulling in the unused 30Amp dryer outlet. Homer's solution was much more simple to just pull it from the breaker box in the garage. He clarified that at night times when the usage is low, the rest of the house won't need much and I could likely safely pull 50Amp without tripping the breaker. And if I did, he said I could just use the charger at half power instead. Cost a fraction of what the others were quoting. He was able to get it all done the next day, took about 30mins.

Will update the review once I use the outlet for a few weeks.

They literally contacted me within minutes of me contacting them. The appointment was set up right away. When Mr. Michael Galvez showed up, I had a ton of things going on in my household and was concerned that I had no electricity in two rooms. He started working right away and fixed the problem. He was very professional and even cleaned up the area for me. This was especially important since I am a busy mama with two babies. Thankfully we have everything working again!
