Best Outlet Repair in Philadelphia PA
I received a text and email confirming Eric would arrive after 11 a.m. Took off work, called them midday to check on arrival. I was told the scheduler was at lunch and would call me back. About 4:45 p.m. a lady called and said sorry but no one would be arriving today. She offered to deduct $50 off my bill if I rescheduled. If a basic appointment cannot be kept, and the client isn't notified of the change until the end of the day...I will take my business elsewhere. Extremely disappointed.

Disclaimer: I've never hired this guy for anything because he is always booked so far in advance it's never convenient for me because I am not the long-range planning type.
However, I felt I should acknowledge that the last time I queried him, he gave me tons of help and advice on the phone even though we'd established up front that our schedules were incompatible. I would hire this guy in a second if he were ever available when I am.

Larry and his sons (Larry and Ryan) were great. I see why they get such high ratings. They were reasonably priced, knowledgeable, polite, funny, did a great job, and they cleaned up afterwards. This was the first in a series of things I need done, and I will definitely have them back. I moved to Philadelphia 6 years ago but just bought my condo in May. Finding contractors you can trust is not always easy. I usually ask for recommendations from friends, but no one had anyone for me. Next I go to Yelp, and Yelp did not disappoint. Thanks guys and I will see you again!

I don't hire contractors often. When I do I'm extremely particular and critical. JDV did excellent work. Great pricing. Courteous. Clean. If ever I need an electrician again. I will surely call.

CJ and his team are thorough, hardworking, communicative and courteous. I needed to have my 100+ year-old home completely rewired from knob and tube electric. CJ met with me, explained the process, presented his credentials, and answered my questions. He was able to get the job done faster and less expensive than other quotes, without sacrificing quality. CJ and his team went above and beyond in multiple respects, were flexible to meeting requests during the process, and frequently communicated and proved their dedication to customer service and excellence in performance. Would definitely recommend using DunnMaster Electric for any electrical needs!

PG came out to restore power to our doorbell. They replaced the transformer quickly and without issue. They were right on time, professional, and did good work at a good price. Also good communication

Very good service! Alex tried to help me diagnose my issue over the phone before even coming out to the property (to try to save me money). When it was apparent that the issue was above my pay grade, a technician came out and quickly fixed the problem, for a reasonable price. Would recommend

Thomas Edison Electric came out on a Saturday and replaced two light switches in my house. The gentleman was right on time, very pleasant and professional. These light switches are in my kitchen and very important. I have nothing but good things to say.

I was happy with the work done by EP Electric; they were very responsive in December when I needed 2 outdoor outlets replaced. They came within a day of the request sent to several electricians. While at my house I asked for an estimate to have some switches changed to dimmers. The next time I needed an electrician was to change out some light fixtures. Again, EP Electric was pretty responsive and available in my timeframe. Since I had used them before, I was comfortable having them come out. When that job was complete, I again discussed the dimmers I wanted and we discussed when I wanted to get the work done. We are working on a schedule for this week and I think it will really add to the ambiance of my house. Looking forward to it.

Joel was great. Had an issue with lights on my deck. I thought it might be the transformer but decided to wait and let Joel figure it out. Just a short, no new transformer needed. His fee was less than a new transformer I was ready to buy. Thanks Joel.

This guy must be paying for his reviews.
He came to my home....late. OK fine, people get busy.
I showed him 2 ceiling lights that were not working. He only removed one switch plate, I had to give him a screwdriver, and put his volt meter up to the switch not to the terminals, then proceeds to tell me the the current is weak. At this point he must think I'm an idiot, but I play along. We go down to the basement and he looks at the panel and says, he's going to have to bring a second guy so that they can find a break in the wire somewhere in the wall. According to him it may take a couple of hours or it may take a full day.
I say thank you very much and escort him out. The problem folks .......... A bad light switch, cost $3.00 from Home Depot.

Had some issues at my house with the electric outlets. Some of them were not getting any power and some were. Luckily I saw the truck for Alba and gave them a call. Ilir answered the called and quickly provided and appointment time and date.
He was present at my house on the given time, explained to me the issues that caused this went over all the issues and provided solutions. Took care of the issue and with in an hour all was back to normal.
About to setup another appointment for installation of outlets in the basement.

Chris is my go-to electrician. I've used him about 5 or 6 times. I live in a 50 year old house and I've slowly replaced a lot of outdoor and indoor lighting. I use CWC all the time. Always responsive, on time, fair prices, great work. I Definitely recommend using CWC.

I called this company on a hot summer day when my tenant called me and told me her power went off. I was running around town with my two kids, so in a hurry I decided to call the first company I saw on yelp. I really wish I had taken more time to look for a more reputable company.
First, be aware that this company has multiple listings for different locations all over the city. If you look at their other listings, you will see the many poor reviews that they have received.
I received multiple phone calls from different people after my initial service request. They repeatedly told me that there is a $165 charge for emergency dispatch, and that once they do an inspection, they will let me know what the cost of the actual work will be. When the technician got to the house, a guy named Steven Miller called me and said he wanted me to pay the dispatch fee upfront before anything is done. He then sent me an email to get my written authorization to charge the credit card. All of this seemed a bit odd to me... the multiple phone calls, the written authorization, the fee up front... but I didn't think too much of it and just proceeded.
About 10 minutes after I paid for the dispatch fee, Steve calls me back with his technician on the phone to tell me that they have to charge me another fee for the diagnostic. I told them that my understanding was after spending $165 they would be able to tell me what's wrong and give me an estimate on the cost of the work. He then proceeded to repeat everything that he and another one of his employees had already told me over the phone multiple times. I told him that I did not feel comfortable proceeding forward and that I was going to call around to see if other companies have similar practices. He then had his other employee (a woman with a courteous voice) call me to try to reason with me. I told her again that I was going to call around and if this is common practice, then that's fine, but if not then I will be leaving a long review for them.
I got off the phone with the woman and called another local electrician. This man was honest, prompt and straightforward. He came out within half hour and fixed the problem for me under 10 minutes and charged me a third of what Thomas Edison had quoted me for simply coming out and finding out what the problem is (not including any work done).
Needless to say, I will be sticking with my honest electrician from now on. Steve did call me again to tell me that he would not charge me the $165 as a courtesy to make me happy. I thought for a second about not leaving a bad review, but I decided that I cannot let this company get away with unethical practice. This company needs to know that people are not stupid and this kind of bait and switch business practice will only backfire. Simple honesty, trustworthiness and respect for people is the way to go.
