I have had Gen3 come to my house many times to do work. Each time I find their timeliness, quality, price and trust make them a go to choice whenever I need work done. This time I feel especially grateful to Keith. He was balanced on a ladder on my staircase replacing a transformer. The transformer wasn't so bad, maybe just harrowing. The screw to put the transformer in was basically from hell. I would have had said 'do it yourself' the number of times I watched him drop the screw down a story of steps but he never stopped. He patiently did the work and got the job done.

Greg was a pleasure to work with. The electrical problem we had was not urgent, so it wasn't an issue that his availability the first time we spoke didn't work with our schedule. The second time we spoke, he set up a time to meet later in the week. He expertly investigated our issue and got everything back in working order (and addressed additional small functional and cosmetic problems that we hadn't even noticed) in short time. Additionally, we had a great time chatting while he worked! The price quoted for the work was incredibly fair, and I could not recommend Greg any more highly.

My PC is on the 2nd floor and my router on the 1st floor so I had them wire some cat 6 cable behind the walls from floor to floor with RJ-45 jacks at the ends. They did a great job, making only one small hole that they patched up and is barely visible even without painting it yet. They also did a nice job on running the cable through the basement, stapling it up very cleanly. The guys were really nice and easy to work with. I'm very pleased with the job they did and would definitely hire them again.

Had a circuit go out. Tried to diagnose the problem on my own, with no luck. Called JDV - they were booked and gave me an appointent for the following week, then caled the next day to offer an earlier appointment. Shwed up when theu said they woud listened carefully to me, found the issue and fixed it quickly. I'm a DIYer, but next time I have an electrical problem I cant handle, I'll call JDV. Very satisfied.

I had surgery and bending is almost impossible. I needed to move 3 outlets to waist height to put them in reach. I looked at several prices and Dunn Master was very fair. He is starting a new business, although he has lots of experience. He and his assistant were able to install 3 outlets immediately before the holidays. I thought one outlet was difficult to plug in, so I called them back, and they came the next day. There was no problem; I just was afraid to push.
They were not only excellent electricians, they were very respectful. They showed me a license and insurance, wore covers on their shoes, and cleaned up plaster work, like they were never here. They fixed a stuck garbage disposal and put in a wedge to reposition my Ring doorbell; gratis. They gave me a three year warranty on the work.
I would hire them again in a minute.

Excellent service experience with Joel and Aratech Services. We had 3 hard wired smoke detectors replaced and an outlet installed. From my initial call to set up the appointment to the final installation, everything was perfect. Joel and his assistant were professional and personable. Work was done quickly and neatly. Joel proactively explained the safety features of the new outlets and ensured that we had directions for the new smoke detectors. Before leaving he took the time to answer and questions and explain the bill. I definitely recommend Joel and Aratech Services.

Found him through yelp. Owner came out to do a free look and sent me a typed estimate. One his employees came back on promised date and installed 2 ceiling fans and 2 light fixtures. Owner sent me receipt and remained professional and polite even when i fussed at him about something that was not his or his tech's fault. (That alone would've earned him 5 stars!)

I had a great experience with Alba! First appointment - the business owner came out - for a few little jobs - but with big impact (my air conditioner and my garbage disposal both were affected). He was wonderful! On time, good communicator (text), quick service, efficient, and very friendly, affable person.
These things are so stressful sometimes. I've had contractors in the past that made me wary that i even let them into my home. With ALBA I felt great about the whole experience. The price was fair, too. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat!

Chris does great work! We just had 2 ceiling fans replaced, new recessed lighting installed, and a giant TV mounted. I had gotten quotes from a few electricians and others said they could mount the TV but would have to run an extension cord to it. Chris was able to install a new outlet behind it so it looks seamless. All the work was done perfectly. So glad to have found such a friendly and reliable electrician!

I called this company on a hot summer day when my tenant called me and told me her power went off. I was running around town with my two kids, so in a hurry I decided to call the first company I saw on yelp. I really wish I had taken more time to look for a more reputable company.
First, be aware that this company has multiple listings for different locations all over the city. If you look at their other listings, you will see the many poor reviews that they have received.
I received multiple phone calls from different people after my initial service request. They repeatedly told me that there is a $165 charge for emergency dispatch, and that once they do an inspection, they will let me know what the cost of the actual work will be. When the technician got to the house, a guy named Steven Miller called me and said he wanted me to pay the dispatch fee upfront before anything is done. He then sent me an email to get my written authorization to charge the credit card. All of this seemed a bit odd to me... the multiple phone calls, the written authorization, the fee up front... but I didn't think too much of it and just proceeded.
About 10 minutes after I paid for the dispatch fee, Steve calls me back with his technician on the phone to tell me that they have to charge me another fee for the diagnostic. I told them that my understanding was after spending $165 they would be able to tell me what's wrong and give me an estimate on the cost of the work. He then proceeded to repeat everything that he and another one of his employees had already told me over the phone multiple times. I told him that I did not feel comfortable proceeding forward and that I was going to call around to see if other companies have similar practices. He then had his other employee (a woman with a courteous voice) call me to try to reason with me. I told her again that I was going to call around and if this is common practice, then that's fine, but if not then I will be leaving a long review for them.
I got off the phone with the woman and called another local electrician. This man was honest, prompt and straightforward. He came out within half hour and fixed the problem for me under 10 minutes and charged me a third of what Thomas Edison had quoted me for simply coming out and finding out what the problem is (not including any work done).
Needless to say, I will be sticking with my honest electrician from now on. Steve did call me again to tell me that he would not charge me the $165 as a courtesy to make me happy. I thought for a second about not leaving a bad review, but I decided that I cannot let this company get away with unethical practice. This company needs to know that people are not stupid and this kind of bait and switch business practice will only backfire. Simple honesty, trustworthiness and respect for people is the way to go.
