I have hired Greg for a range of electrical projects from a complete re-wiring on one property, to the selective addition of lights and outlets in another.  The most important thing that I would say about Greg is that he takes the time to understand your electrical project.  Greg will think about where an outlet or a light is actually needed, and not just where is it easy to get the wire.  He will also carefully consider all the options for running the wires, and not just reach for the surface mount when things get tricky.  Finally, when holes do need to be made, Greg is clean, careful, and will take the extra time needed to pull wires through a small hole.  He is a pleasure to work with, and his work is highly recommended.

Excellent customer service and communication!!  Jim was so helpful to our family during the entire process.  He sincerely wanted to help keep costs down and was flexible when we wanted additional services.  I will refer Jim & Sons Electric to my family and friends and I highly recommend their services.  The scheduling went smoothly and the work was done at the appointed time.  The areas were cleaned up after the job was done.  Thanks so much for your help Jim and we'll see you in few months for additional jobs.

PG came out to restore power to our doorbell. They replaced the transformer quickly and without issue. They were right on time, professional, and did good work at a good price. Also good communication

Had some issues at my house with the electric outlets. Some of them were not getting any power and some were. Luckily I saw the truck for Alba and gave them a call. Ilir answered the called and quickly provided and appointment time and date.

He was present at my house on the given time, explained to me the issues that caused this went over all the issues and provided solutions. Took care of the issue and with in an hour all was back to normal.

Chris did a great job on doing the electric work to enable a garbage disposal to be installed. He also installed GFCI outets, an above the sink light and additional switch. He communicated the job effectively, worked hard throughout the project and was reasonably priced. He ensured that the area was clean when he left. I talked to him about another possible job in the future. He knows his business. Will use again. Highly recommend.

James was super kind to come and sort our electrical problem on 1st Jan 10 am. Our microwave was not functioning and James one by one walked through the possible issues. Finally we realized that it is a microwave problem rather than an electrical circuit issue. Nevertheless he set up a separate exclusive breaker for the microwave. The best part was that he charged as per his quote though it took slightly more time. The overall price was also much lower than other quotes we received.

One small area of improvement- If they could come come with a broom to do the cleanup :)

My husband and I bought a 120 year old house this fall and were looking for an electrician to remediate the knob and tube in a very tight two week period. Christian and his team were incredibly flexible and responsive and explained things super thoroughly to us as first time homeowners. Since the K&T removal, we have had them back for various projects around the house (fixing outdoor electric hookups, installing light fixtures, and doorbells) and the work is always done extremely well and fast! We will 100% be using them for all of our electrical needs in the future. I've recommended them to a couple of friends and cannot speak highly enough of this business!!

Very satisfied. Fast, efficient, friendly and professional. Had an electrical outlet that was sparking, and needed it looked at. Glenn was here in about an hour and made the repairs, checked everything out, got full power restored to the entire house in short order, and explained what had happened & what he did. Will definitely call G&R Electric again for my electrical needs :).

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Fayiz.   I contracted him to replace an outside wire and a flood light fixture.  Turns out the original light fixture that I wanted him to replace no longer needed replacement, but I had one in the basement that did so I figured I'd ask about it since he was here.  He didn't hesitate to run out to buy a fixture to replace that one on the spot for me. Fayiz is super nice, more than willing to explain the work needed in layman's terms and reasonably priced.   I would highly recommend him for electrical work on a new home, or an old one like mine which was built in 1912.

Don is a really nice guy. I purchased  an old row home with lots of old/shoddy wiring. He updated as many of the outlets as possible in preparation for an upcoming rewire job. Basically, he got the house so the electrical is safe and reliable while I save up the big bucks for the larger rewire job.

Pros: He's a guy, not a company, so you always deal with him directly. He's a hard worker, and will always be honest about the depth/scope of the work needed. He's clean and neat--when he worked at my place he laid down numerous cushioned drop cloths, swept up, and took all of his mess with him when he left. He was also really nice to my hardwood floors. I think messy job sites are a pet-peeve of his. He's incredibly knowledgeable and totally let's you pick his brain.

Cons: There's really only one. He's really scatter-brained and hard to schedule. Like every other great contractor, he books out weeks (if not months) in advance. He doesn't have a receptionist or anything, so you end up having to call and remind him about the job 2 days prior, then the day of. It's annoying, but a small price to pay for good work. I'm always weary of tradesmen whose schedules are wide open.

He mostly works out by Chestnut Hill but would venture farther into Philly if you sweet talk him into it. I'm planning my rewire job for the spring, so you can bet I'll be setting up dates with him in February.
