And please if you get a virtual estimate and we send out availability can you at least call to make sure the slot is available before booking ? We’ve been doing electrical for years and have a lot of knowledge while working safely. We started out doing actually commercial electric then a lot of residential work. So we have experience across the spectrum. We vow to get the job done efficiently at a fair price guaranteed.

I’m Thomas and I’m very passionate about electrical work. I’ve been doing this since I’ve been out of high school. I went working with my uncles then trade school. After trade school I’ve went to work with a number of companies while getting certified. We’re a team of master electricians with a perfect safety record.

I hired Fortech to install recessed lighting in my home. I would say I had an overall good / overall positive experience with some small opportunities for improvement.

Positives:
Tom was very responsive via text and email - he was one of the first electricians to respond and had one of the most competitive offers. He gave me specific Amazon links and directions about purchasing a switch which helped me feel confident in his skillset and also in the products I was purchasing. In addition, he helped me solve a mystery about some other lights in my house (turns out I just couldn't find the switch).

Room for improvement:
On the first day we arranged for the job, Tom was late to arrive and we had to reschedule because it passed the time when I could be home. However, he worked to make it right and showed up on time at the next arranged time. He also waived the switch fee to compensate me for the inconvenience, which I appreciated.

Other areas for improvement are that they could have cleaned up better after they left - there was still a lot of debris on the ground and I had to mop twice. And the switch was not completely flush with the wall (they did try to make it right and get it flush with the wall after I pointed it out but it's not perfect, I will have to have someone adjust it).

Would I recommend?
Yes, I would recommend Fortech. I was happy with their service and would hire them again for an electrical job at my primary home or rental properties.

I requested 10 different quotes for installing an EV Charger Outlet and Fortech Electric was the cheapest and one of quickest to respond and had the availability to do the work immediately.

The quote didn't mention patching but patching was included during the installation which most of the other electricians did not include.

Would definitely recommend Fortech if you need quick electrical work done at a very reasonable price.

Had to mount the EV Charger myself but I didn't mind as I didn't my new electric car yet.

Very fast communication response, we texted in the night upon things that need to be done, the technician was in the house the very next day morning and wrapped up everything to our satisfaction in a timely fashion, all of this at a reasonable and fair price

I hired Fortech to rewire a doorbell that hasn't worked properly the entire time I've lived in my house (5+ years). I recently decided get it fixed because I got a doorbell camera. 2 other electricians couldn't figure out the problem and just said rewire it.
First of all Fortech was super responsive and gave me a reasonable quote over the phone before they came out. And they came out within like 2 business days of my initial inquiry. The guys that came out were very thorough and spent a long time working on the bell until they figured out the problem...& it didn't need to be rewired. Meanwhile I had received a $1200 quote from another company to rewire and ended up paying significantly less...and my doorbell works! I would definitely hire them again for future projects.

James was super kind to come and sort our electrical problem on 1st Jan 10 am. Our microwave was not functioning and James one by one walked through the possible issues. Finally we realized that it is a microwave problem rather than an electrical circuit issue. Nevertheless he set up a separate exclusive breaker for the microwave. The best part was that he charged as per his quote though it took slightly more time. The overall price was also much lower than other quotes we received.

One small area of improvement- If they could come come with a broom to do the cleanup :)

I thought I was in need of an electrician and used Yelp to help me find one. Although it turned out that the issue didn't really need an electrician, the folks at Fortech were the first to respond to my query and to help me diagnose the issue before even coming to visit. I can't say that the services are great since they actually didn't perform a service, but their customer service is wonderful and it is on that basis I give them a 4-star rating. I will certainly keep them in mind if I do need to have an electrician come out for job.

Thomas showed up with a mask, he inspected the layout with a professional outlook, to be creative and installed the correct kinds of outlets, wasn't someone who wanted shortcuts, took him two hours over the required time and was reasonable. Great job done Thomas!

After a number of discussions about the work we needed done installing a new 220V line, we agreed to move forward with Fortech. Thomas and Teddy came by the next day to start the project. Although they ran into more issues getting the work done than had been anticipated, the price did not change, and they stayed into the evening to make sure the job was done in a single day. Overall very happy with the work. I would say that they could have been better about wearing masks when indoors, but then again I didn't bring it up with them while they were here.
