Best Electrical Panel Installat… in Philadelphia PA
I've used Generation 3 Electricians close to 6 times now, and my experience is such that I would not use any other company for my electrical needs. Today I had James come to my house to check on a small problem. He had been out another time to install timers for my outdoor front and back lights - so worth doing! Today, he explained how I could check the problem myself next time using my electrical panel (duh - okay, I'm a girl and I'm learning). He also inspected another issue I had. As in the past, he was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. I wasn't charged today but the company is fair in their pricing and will listen to their customers, adjusting if need be.
I wish other companies were this consumer driven. They do it right.

Simply outstanding. He certainly went the extra mile to make sure we get the best service. Utilized smartphone capabilities to get an accurate estimate of what we need, and made arrangements to work around his schedule to give us a more affordable quote. On a separate occasion, he spent 10 minutes on the phone giving us advice on how to troubleshoot things first before charging us for coming in. A true professional who values and understands the importance of reputation in this business.

Larry and his crew are amazing! They installed a Nest camera doorbell (with no existing wiring), a new ceiling fan, and hung two TVs with behind the wall wiring and outlets. They were reasonably priced and the care and detail to work was impeccable. Larry and his team made sure to clean after themselves and it was like they were never there, other than all of the great work done. He did such an amazing job that a few days later when a different fan blew and our washer tripped a breaker he came in right away. He told us the washer was likely an appliance issue and STILL looked at the breaker after we told him not to worry just to make sure we didn't spend unnecessary money on a new appliance. Lauterborn is a stand up company that does efficient and precise work. We have found our go to company.

Top notch work, and great customer service. We had 3 ceiling fans, 2 GFI switches (installed) and an an outlet out back replaced. Very polite employees and no price gauging. I would highly recommend them. I know I'll be calling at income tax time for the electrical to finish my basement.

Wow. I always use reviews to help decide who to hire. Google has so many more for JDV and when I came here to review them I was shocked at the 2 bad reviews. Seems 1 person is dissatisfied and had no work done and the other is upset over a price he agreed to pay.
I'm here to say otherwise. Was JDV the lowest quote. No. But a HIGH recommendation from a friend and I thank my friend for it. You get what you pay for. I got excellent work from knowledgable, friendly and courteous staff who did a phenomenal job. Won't be worried that my house will burn down with my new panel and service. Plus the quality of the panel and breakers with a built in surge protector and arc fault breakers. I feel safe. And all of the wiring was identified and labeled correctly. Thank you JDV I will be recommending you to friends and family.

All praises to iTech. Excellent service. Arrived at the beginning of the window. Looked over what was requested. Offered suggestions and answered questions. He even put on shoes covers before entering ( I had enough dust,lol). He went right to work. Edison is his name. Professional,polite and well mattered. Asked if I wanted to keep my rubbish or should he take it away. Price was right. Service ,again,Excellent. I took his card and will be referring him and also using him again in the near future for upcoming projects.

Mind you I used Angie's List and this company was the very first based on my zip code and the fact that it's only like a 15 min drive. REALLY!!! You don't deserve my business anyway!! I can't say enough good things about Thomas Edison Electric. They are a very timely, professional and great company. I called later in the evening frantic when I found out that I would be responsible for having an electrical pole fixed on my dollar. Tom was very kind and understanding, he was upfront about the cost of an emergency call and coming out the next day, which isn't something you usually hear from companies when there's an emergency. The techs came out on time the next day while also calling in advance which was a nice courtesy. They performed the tasks necessary to fix the pole and also helped my father in law with the generator. My father in law spoke very highly of them and was so impressed by their honesty and commitment. It's rare to find quality companies that are professional like Edison.

The Yelp community came through again! I used the message a project Yelp function to EP Electric for an outdoor electrical outlet problem. EP Electric responded within the time they said they would, and then called when scheduled two days later for a consultation.
I gave another description of the problem, and Andi informed me of the initial cost to come out and advised me of the Yelp coupon which I had known about. Anything above that cost would be discussed before the work would be done.
I made an appointment to have EP Electric come out, and Andi and his assistant showed up as scheduled. His communication beforehand to come to my house also was very good.
Fortunately for me, my problem was easy for Andi to resolve and the breaker only needed replacing. The whole thing was done in less than 30 minutes right before a super-drenching downpour. Good thing since it was an outdoor plug problem!
I'd highly recommend EP Electric. Very good communication and quick service. The right way to do business.

Joel and his team are highly knowledgeable, communicative, respectful, and price their work competitively. They even offered ways to reduce the cost of our job. We had them install a 240v outlet in the garage for an EV charger, a 240v forced air heater in the basement, along with a couple other smaller jobs. They identified and fixed an unrelated safety issue with our electrical panel while they were at it. Working with them has been one of the most pleasant contractor experiences in years. I feel that they gave our home the same attention to detail they would give to their own. I highly recommend Aratech services to anyone looking to hire an electrician.

I recently purchased a washer and dryer that were set to be delivered to my new home on Saturday. On Wednesday I realized that I did not have an outlet to put the washer on. I called Strickland Electric and told him what my situation was. He came out that same day to give me an estimate. The price was $25 cheaper than another estimate I received and he agreed to do the work before the washer and dryer were set to arrive. He arrived within the time frame he set and started right to work. He cleaned up his work area when done. Last he showed me how to turn the socket on and off and explained instances where it would turn off on its own. He was very polite and professional. Strickland Electric is going to be my go-to electrician from now on.

I called this company on a hot summer day when my tenant called me and told me her power went off. I was running around town with my two kids, so in a hurry I decided to call the first company I saw on yelp. I really wish I had taken more time to look for a more reputable company.
First, be aware that this company has multiple listings for different locations all over the city. If you look at their other listings, you will see the many poor reviews that they have received.
I received multiple phone calls from different people after my initial service request. They repeatedly told me that there is a $165 charge for emergency dispatch, and that once they do an inspection, they will let me know what the cost of the actual work will be. When the technician got to the house, a guy named Steven Miller called me and said he wanted me to pay the dispatch fee upfront before anything is done. He then sent me an email to get my written authorization to charge the credit card. All of this seemed a bit odd to me... the multiple phone calls, the written authorization, the fee up front... but I didn't think too much of it and just proceeded.
About 10 minutes after I paid for the dispatch fee, Steve calls me back with his technician on the phone to tell me that they have to charge me another fee for the diagnostic. I told them that my understanding was after spending $165 they would be able to tell me what's wrong and give me an estimate on the cost of the work. He then proceeded to repeat everything that he and another one of his employees had already told me over the phone multiple times. I told him that I did not feel comfortable proceeding forward and that I was going to call around to see if other companies have similar practices. He then had his other employee (a woman with a courteous voice) call me to try to reason with me. I told her again that I was going to call around and if this is common practice, then that's fine, but if not then I will be leaving a long review for them.
I got off the phone with the woman and called another local electrician. This man was honest, prompt and straightforward. He came out within half hour and fixed the problem for me under 10 minutes and charged me a third of what Thomas Edison had quoted me for simply coming out and finding out what the problem is (not including any work done).
Needless to say, I will be sticking with my honest electrician from now on. Steve did call me again to tell me that he would not charge me the $165 as a courtesy to make me happy. I thought for a second about not leaving a bad review, but I decided that I cannot let this company get away with unethical practice. This company needs to know that people are not stupid and this kind of bait and switch business practice will only backfire. Simple honesty, trustworthiness and respect for people is the way to go.
