Best Gas Water Heater Installation in Austin TX
My AC went out last night (Sunday) and the first company I called couldn't figure out what was wrong. It was 1pm by the time I called Fox and they didn't think they could get anyone out by the end of the day, but would call if they could squeeze me in. They got someone out very quickly after all and their technician was awesome. The problem turned out to be something really stupid that I had done, but he was so nice about it and took care of it quickly for me. The price was reasonable, too. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name or read it on the receipt, but feel free to add it to the review and tell him thank you!

If I could give this company 10 stars, I would! This father and son duo are super kind, they went above and beyond to complete 4 projects for me.
They arrived on time, extremely professional and courteous, had every tool needed to complete the work and wonderful personality!
I will be calling them as soon as I move for addition work. I must add they are very fare with their rates especially considering these gas prices.
Thank you Jose & Louis...just the best!!!!

So I recently installed a new water after the 2021 winter storm (it was just old). One of the original connectors (where the hot water exits) was leaking ever so slightly, which was not a quick attach/flex hose and I needed the pressure valve line to be rerun/soldered (only a couple of feet of copper). So I called Efficient to have a plumber come out to replace the intake/outgoing lines/connectors as this would require some soldering of the copper pipes and to rerun/solder of the pressure valve line. I am not a plumber but I know this was a quick and fairly easy job to do considering the water heater was already in place. Alan and Carlyle came out and quoted me $873 to Replace Water Heater Flex Lines: $399 and Replace T+P piping under 5': $474. I was shocked at this price and when I asked what was causing the quote to be so high, I was told it was mostly the labor without further explanation. I paid the $99 service call fee even though that was never mentioned to me when I made the appointment and decided to get other quotes. The next plumber I called came out and was able to make the repairs for $170 and it took him all of 40 minutes (from when I opened the door to when he left)...Clearly my assumptions were right and Efficient was grossly overcharging. My guess is this company plays on peoples lack of knowledge, plumbing emergencies, or just lack of time to deal with issues and they overinflate their prices...my guess (I can only guess because they did not give me an itemized/detailed quote) is they were trying to charge me for the labor for the two plumbers (because they sent two, not because the job required two) for the 2 items listed on the quote and at a rate of one hour for each plumber for each item. Basically I believe they were trying to charge me two hours of labor (one hour for each plumber) for each of the two different items they listed on the receipt regardless of how long it would take them to actually do the job. Go elsewhere...

I moved to Oregon, which is so much better than Cali...well, to get to the point I wish Danny lived here because he did wonders for my house in West Hollywood. The guy is a monkey, too, crawling through walls to create a most-difficult to-install electric car charger.
He DOES get extremely busy, so he may say that he's too busy - for real. He is in demand by smart people.

We've needed the help of a plumber three times in the past year, and the guys at 1st Plumbing have rocked each time. Quick response time, really reasonable rates, pleasant and professional staff. One of our jobs was a monster -- a mystery leak somewhere in the yard or in the slab. It could have cost us thousands of dollars, but the guys at 1st Plumbing used some logic to think it through and found the leak without having to dig up our whole yard. They're our first and only call for plumbing from now on.

When I set up my appointment I was informed there was a $79 fee to come out but they said they couldn't possibly provide even a rough quote to install a chandelier and outdoor fan. I was skeptical but figured their pricing would be reasonable. The technician arrived today and using and showing me their standard pricing book quoted me an outrageous $700! The rep on the phone could have easily used their standard pricing book to give me a minimum quote to expect but instead stole my money.
I've already scheduled another appointment with a different company who waves their fee to come out (only $49 not $79) for first time customers and was able to assure me they could do it for $300 - $350 HALF OR LESS THAN WHAT SALT LIGHT TRIED PRICE GOUGING ME FOR!!
I've filed a BBB complaint. Definitely stay away from this company if you don't want to get ripped off.

I had an appoint with a John Wayne rep today with the understanding to get a complete estimate for a new AC system. The first thing out of the John Wayne employees' mouth after introductions were, are you ready to make a decision today? I said no I always review the documents and look up reviews on the product, etc. I want to take a look at the model numbers and see how some hold up better than others. That is when he informed me, they had a company policy which states they DO NOT provide written estimates. I told him are you serious, who makes a 5k+ decision and not receive a written estimate. He goes on to say, well they have specials that change every two weeks, and different promotions, etc. I said that is wonderful but what does that have to do with an estimate? My pay check stays the same every two weeks. I knew where he was going, I saw their approach was going to be a pressure sales approach. I mean who doesn't give someone a written estimate? I told him, we were done. My interaction lasted probably less than 3 minutes and he was on his way. I just though the whole thing was quite honestly strange.
