Best Gas Water Heater Installat… in Austin TX
I own an investment property near the UT campus and my tenant notified me that the central heat was not coming on. I called Fox that night and talked to a person at their answering service requesting service for the next day. I got a call that morning and the tech met me there around noon. It turned out that the electronic thermostat just needed to be reset. He just charged me for a service call. He was pleasant and efficient. Thanks Fox. Mark

Hired father and son duo to install my bathtub and plumb faucet with PEX. Provided the install instructions. They were super friendly- however...
They installed the faucet upside down, but came back to correct it. They did not shim under the tub nor put cement or felt as Recomended by the manufacturer. Found out later that the overflow plastic mechanism was broken off during install but not mentioned. Tub was scratched on the apron as well as the bathroom door. Tub was not shimmed to the studs, and had to be reattached. Shower head spout was not positioned correctly (recessed too deep) for Sheetrock to go over. Tub spout was 2in higher than per the manufacturer. The work got done with no leaks so far, but the quality for the price is simply not in alignment. I corrected about half of the issues, but they should have knocked off 30-40% of their price as I'm certain they did know they were being rough. I would hire them again despite this review, but they need to be managed with certain types of work to ensure that they are careful and thorough.

So I recently installed a new water after the 2021 winter storm (it was just old). One of the original connectors (where the hot water exits) was leaking ever so slightly, which was not a quick attach/flex hose and I needed the pressure valve line to be rerun/soldered (only a couple of feet of copper). So I called Efficient to have a plumber come out to replace the intake/outgoing lines/connectors as this would require some soldering of the copper pipes and to rerun/solder of the pressure valve line. I am not a plumber but I know this was a quick and fairly easy job to do considering the water heater was already in place. Alan and Carlyle came out and quoted me $873 to Replace Water Heater Flex Lines: $399 and Replace T+P piping under 5': $474. I was shocked at this price and when I asked what was causing the quote to be so high, I was told it was mostly the labor without further explanation. I paid the $99 service call fee even though that was never mentioned to me when I made the appointment and decided to get other quotes. The next plumber I called came out and was able to make the repairs for $170 and it took him all of 40 minutes (from when I opened the door to when he left)...Clearly my assumptions were right and Efficient was grossly overcharging. My guess is this company plays on peoples lack of knowledge, plumbing emergencies, or just lack of time to deal with issues and they overinflate their prices...my guess (I can only guess because they did not give me an itemized/detailed quote) is they were trying to charge me for the labor for the two plumbers (because they sent two, not because the job required two) for the 2 items listed on the quote and at a rate of one hour for each plumber for each item. Basically I believe they were trying to charge me two hours of labor (one hour for each plumber) for each of the two different items they listed on the receipt regardless of how long it would take them to actually do the job. Go elsewhere...

Danny is our go-to guy! He's super friendly, personable and a great communicator! We hired him to remove screens and light fixtures from our office space and he did such a fast job, we had him install some items into our new place! Very reliable and skillful. Thanks so much Danny.

Ohhh where to start with this review? I wonder what the character limit is on Yelp? This process began back in June, 2017, with a quote from 1st Home for a commercial plumbing job. One of the things quote included was for complete plumbing and installation of a water heater. Once they had delivered and installed the water heater, they informed me they'd forgotten to include power supply in the original bid......a water heater with no power supply is of no use, right? They could do it, they said, for an additional $700+ dollars. (incidentally, I chose to go elsewhere at that point).
Fast forward a couple months later, the City of Austin plumbing inspector does not approve the permit, due to the water heater drain access not being properly installed. The company owner, Stephen Harrell actually tried to say I would have to bear the expense of the correction....I quickly let him know that I'd be doing no such thing.
Well, they made an appointment and sent Dan (who by the way is very polite, punctual, and cleaned up his mess). I had understood they'd be accessing a drain that was inside the wall.
At the end of the day when they finished the work I was SHOCKED to see the ridiculous solution they'd chosen to remedy the problem. Upon expressing my dissatisfaction I was told this was the only way the City will approve it. Hopefully I can post a picture to this review. They ran a pipe through the bathroom wall leading down the wall (on the other side) and into the employee breakroom sink. That was 10/4/2017, today is 10/9/2017 and I've yet to receive a call to schedule another inspection. No surprise there given the void of customer service and snarky attitude of the owner.
As a courtesy, I did text the owner a picture of their finished product, to which I received no reply. I don't like giving reviews like this but hopefully this with spare someone the aggravation and expense it's costing me. I would NEVER hire this company again.

When I called to get pricing a professional guy answered the phone and informed me of a service fee to come take a look at our job. I went back and fourth about using them but decided to call back and book my apt. We were so glad we did! We had three light fixtures changed. One outside at our entry (20 ft ceiling), one inside entry (20 ft ceiling), and a pendant light. When they arrived they did a full inspection of our home to make sure everything was safe and worked properly. He then went over a direct pricing of exactly what we would be paying. This was so very helpful. Just a few weeks back we had a contractor come in to fix a wall we paid his original price but ended up wanting to charge us more to finish and NOT the agreed price so we now have an incomplete project that we will have to finish ourselves since we already spent our budget in the first place, it is quite frustrating!! Salt went above and beyond!! We had a lot of wasp nest in our entry that we could never knock down because we don't have a tall enough ladder. When I realized they got them I was pleasantly surprised! It's the little things :)! I will recommend Salt Light and Electric to my family and friends.

We are very disappointed of our service . Because my mom had pay for a battery for the AC unit outside that didn't had buy it . We needed a new one it was a waste of 500.00 . Now we a new a/c the whole thing. The guy didn't tells us that the outside unit was no good and didn't tells us that it needed freon. So now we are out of a/c for the rest of the summer. And they took 500.00 from us for a battery that we didn't need .
But I guess we will here from them. I hope they will read this and maybe remember are number and gaves a call. It's sad that we lost 500.00.we don't know if he really put the battery on or not .Very disappointed! Do they really read this I hope so.
