Fox Service Company Electrician
One of Time Warners installers put a hole in the ceiling of our garage while installing internet/cable. They called Fox to come fix the damage. Their service tech did a great job and was punctual and courteous. I'd recommend them to anyone.

They are great! Fixed a broken bed frame, replaced a ceiling fan,  balanced another ceiling fan, and fixed a blocked lightbulb socket in our oven hood!!! I will definitely call them again!!!

Efficient AC, Electric & Plumbing Electrician
I am shopping for a new H/VAC system, which reminded me to write this review about the work they did for me several months back.  I will not be using Efficient  for any future work on my H/VAC and here's why: Back in August, my A/C was working and not working (i.e,, coming on sometimes, but not always).  I called Efficient and they sent a nice tech out to diagnose the problem. He diagnosed it as a low performing capacitor. Replaced it at a cost of $260. The unit cut on after he replaced it so I figured he knew what he was talking about. Later in the day though, the same problem occurred. I called Efficient and they sent the tech out next morning. This time he told me it was the motor. Cost: 600+!!! Well, it's August, I'm boiling, I stupidly fell for it. The unit worked okay for about a week and then the same problem presented again! Same exact problem - sometimes cutting on; sometimes not. I started doing some research online and everything I looked at suggested the problem might be the relay switch. But who was I to tell that to a professional? LOL Efficient sent out a tech who diagnosed.....what else but a broken relay switch. He replaced that and to Efficient's credit, at no charge. (Had they charged me for it, they would have received a one star review). So turns out the relay switch was the problem and the A/C worked fine from that point on. However, I ended up spending way more than I should have (i.e., almost  $1000). The relay switch, if it had been properly diagnosed in the first place, would have cost much less. That's why we call professionals --- to properly diagnose and fix a problem, not to just keep replacing things until something works.

Blanco AC, Electrical, & Plumbing Electrician
We're in the LONG process of getting the proper approvals and permits for a home backup generator. Steve, Terry, Chuck and Michael have done a FANTASTIC job of patiently working through all that was/is necessary to prepare for the generator delivery. That included proper sizing of the generator to be installed. For those planning on getting a generator, determining the proper size generator is critical. Everyone I have worked with at Blanco has been TOP NOTCH. They're exactly the 100% customer oriented group of guys that any customer could hope for. Unfortunately, far too many companies selling generators fall far short of Blanco's standards. And, they will not take the time to select a generator that is adequate for your needs. The right home backup generator will very likely not be cheap. But, wouldn't you want that selection to be the right one for you and your family? Go with Blanco & you will not regret the decision.

I overtightened the water shut-off valve under the bathroom sink, cracked the PVC pipe and needed the pipe repaired.  I had already removed the tile, so this involved cutting 1 piece of PVC pipe, adding a new section and the new valve.  Called this company and explained what was needed.  They indicated a $45 diagnostic/ trip fee that would be applied to the cost of the repair.  Okay.  Plumber arrived in the scheduled window.  Looks at the pipe, indicates it will take about 30 minutes to fix...then pulls out a binder, flips to a page and indicates that he is supposed to charge me $480 (b/c he will need to pull off 1 more 4tile), but that he will cut me a break and will charge $287.  I confirmed that we were talking about 30 minutes of work and less than $2 in parts, which he agreed.  So, the hourly rate for this plumbing company is north of $560???  He stated that everything is done on a flat rate, no matter the amount of work that is required.  They do not disclose this over the phone.  They do have a contractor rate of $135/hr, but you then have to pay an additional $45 for the trip (so $180 for the 1st hour).  In my experience, an average experienced plumber is about $75/hr.  This company charges more for labor than a surgeon.  Needless to say, I sent him on his way and fixed the problem myself for a couple of bucks.  Company gets two stars b/c the plumbing tech waived the trip fee when he saw how irritated I was.  He seemed embarrassed at the cost and should have been.

They don't need your business. I know because I've been trying to give them money for months and they aren't interested. They won't give me an estimate OR say no, we don't want the job. They just don't communicate and left me hanging multiple times. I had called for a quote to install a transfer switch. I didn't even competitively bid it. They said they needed an in-person estimate to scope the project (ok, fair enough). I met with their estimator for 90 minutes. He stated I'd have an estimate within a few days. It's been 3 months. I tried to follow up.  I sent emails, I called the office. I've waited on a reply within 24 hours a couple times. I just tried once last time. I got the same run around. I asked to speak to a supervisor or a manager or someone who had the ability to move this forward --- just to ask them to send a new estimator already because it's nuts that I can't get this. I DID verify that Kasey, my estimator, still worked for them. He does. They just can't seem to get him to do this. Also, all the managers and supervisors are in a meeting and apparently have been in that meeting since around April 5, 2023. (Today is 4/24/23).
