Best Garage Addition in Phoenix AZ

I would have written this review sooner, but we've been too busy enjoying our new bathrooms!

My wife and I bought a home back in Feb.'17 and wanted a remodel to both bathrooms that included an expansion to the main bathroom by moving some walls and plumbing in an oversized laundry room.

It was our first remodel, and all we knew of remodels was that there are a million shows on television about them, and there's always a problem.  With that in mind, we were very open to the following:

1) things will probably cost more as the project goes on

2) it may not be done on time

3) our living situation will not be ideal for a few weeks

And those things happened. All of them. All we could do was manage our expectations. DJ, who was our point of contact for the remodel, managed everything else.

He was great at communicating our options. He returned a call within hours of us leaving a message. Every time. When we had an issue with something, he reacted.

That last paragraph is important.

Almost as important as the finished product.

I kid you not, I was taking 2 showers a day in that first month, just because I loved being in that bathroom.

Should we ever need another remodel to our home, I've got DJ's number in my phone.

i hired irving for some built in shelves and a bench in my front living room. he came to my house to quote the project & all was fine (besides the scoff he gave me after he asked what material i wanted him to use, which i replied idk, wood? and he scoffed and said well there are different types-- i'm not in this line of work so how would i know?)

we moved forward w a start date & he drew up some sketches for me. he drew up 2 options, we both agreed one looked better than the other so we moved forward.

start date got pushed back 2 days bc of truck trouble. understandable. contract said start time was 8-9am, he text me to change it to 9-10 & i told him that's fine. they didn't show up until 1045. he had been to my house to do the quote, so he knew how far of a drive it would be.

cant remember if it was the second or third day, but i noticed it wasn't looking like the sketch we agreed on (a 6th shelf or the bottom being filled in & wainscoting across the bottom- we agreed on wainscoting option). so i nicely asked him about it and he said you wanted a shelf i told him no, we agreed on the wainscoting. and i showed him proof of our conversations & he said ok, & went & got more material to finish.

job took 3 days which was fine. everything looked good from what i could tell.

i had my painters come 3 days later to paint. my painter had to sand an area down on the bench bc the bench was hitting the side of the shelf when opened.

you'll see in the photos that from afar it looks amazing, but up close, the finishing touches were anything but that. u can still see the screws, the edges of the entire structure are uneven. and it seems that plywood was used for the underneath parts of the shelves & are now bowing. i sent irving a video 2 weeks later asking if i should be concerned about that and he said The Wood is probably bowed or got bowed after paint. your fine. It's natural wood gets bowed as it gets exposed to chemicals like paint or even the weather

not sure why one would use a material he knows could do this once painted?

like i said, the shelves look great from a distance. but up close, there are so many flaws & it makes me sick to think how much money i spent for a finished job like this.

Elvis did a great job at my home and rental. I will use him in the future. He had timely responses, was friendly, and did what he said.

We went with RH Design & Build for an interior remodel including a complete kitchen renovation.  Despite some challenges along the way, we could not be happier with the end result.  We recommend RH Design & Build for their professionalism and craftsmanship.

We just wrapped up project with Canterra Construction in our new build. They guided us throughout the process as we transformed our plain, asymmetrical, and inverted TV wall to the focal point of our home. Their entire team is great and we felt supported by all of them over the course of the month-long process. We can't wait to tackle other projects in our home with Canterra Construction!

I needed a new contractor to do some renovations on our new home so we turned to Yelp and and found shepherd contracting. We used Thomas and his team when my new home needed some updating. The communication was above and beyond. We love our new bathrooms and will post updated photos soon!

My wife and I recently moved into a new home that was looking pretty rough on the outside. We set up a walkthrough with Global Elite Builders to look into painting the interior and exterior. They gave us a fantastic quote,  we were ready to book, and then they took it upon themselves to find dangerous problems with our home's electrical wiring. We booked immediately.
Our paint job had difficult time frames and they had to work around a plumber, and they did so with zero issue. They fixed all the dangerous problems with our home and did a fantastic, quick paint job for a great price.
Now, whenever we want to make significant changes to the home we will call Global Elite.

Did a whole home remodel and couldn't be happier.  Slade and Trinity Homes are the best of the best.  High quality work, fair pricing, and very responsive.  Slade is straight forward and easy to work with which is what you want when you're doing a stressful remodel.  Our project was quoted as 6+ months by several contractors, but we decided to go with Trinity Homes and Slade and his crew came in and did it in about 3.5 months.  That's pretty much unheard of for home remodels.  A+ Highly Recommended

Completely impressed with the work that Tru Builders did for us, whole house flooring. They helped me and my wife pick out the flooring, baseboard and paint. They made the whole process so easy. They have a handy online system that kept all of our job information in one place, they even had photos uploaded to us everyday of the process! Very user friendly. They showed up in a timely manner, even finished a couple days ahead of schedule. You get what you pay for with Tru Builders, their quality of work and professionalism is unbeatable. It was difficult to find a re-modeler that we could trust, Max and his team showed top quality work, can't recommend them enough. Looking forward to working with them again in the future on our bathrooms.

We had the pleasure to work with Peak One Builders and had a fantastic experience. My husband was hit while serving in Afghanistan and sustained a traumatic brain injury and loss of both legs below the knees. Remolding a home could have a nightmare....but with Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors and Peak One Builders this was the easiest experience for us.

Mike Christensen of Peak One was professional, reliable and made sure that the job was done right. The way that Mike had reconfigured our home was outstanding. He was extremely creative, thinking outside the box for my husbands special needs to make sure our home looked normal and not like a handicap section. The house feels open, clean, spacious, and luxurious. Basically, the house looks like it was built for a King!

I love seeing the look of pride in my husband when we are at home, he has full access to everything and there are no obstacles. Now we BBQ and hang out at our fire pit almost every night! If there is ever a question we had, Mike is always available to help. After the whole experience, I feel like we gained a great friend too. Thank you Mike and Peak One!

We needed some damaged roof tiles replaced, and Stan did a great job. Just from a picture, he noticed two other tiles that were damaged which I hadn't even noticed before then. Keen eye for detail, which I really liked. Very reasonable, thoughtful, and patient with all my questions.

Stephen Garrett and his crew renovated our Scottsdale condo. The price he quoted was the end price, the quality of the work was good and they were very responsible and responsive. We were so impressed that we recommended them to a friend for their house in Phoenix.  That was a much bigger job and our friends were also very satisfied. We highly recommend Sun Country for Phoenix area renovations.

Absolutely wonderful service. Punctual, knows what he usa doing. Advices the right things. Cost effective.

Outstanding job on a re-mod of my Mom's very large, super expensive home (million plus). So happy with the entire process with Cliff and his team... From the planning, throughout the work, and the end results. Fabulous! I would never even think of calling another contractor ever again, found my guy and his team. Thanks very much for everything! Dion and his team did a super job renovating our guest bathroom. They took great care to make sure the work was done to our satisfaction, they worked with our crazy schedule, and  they left the worksite in perfect order each day. Highly professional and highly recommended.

Absolutely recommend this company! We had some water damage to our kitchen ceiling and needed new drywall, insulation, paint and fixtures put back up. A crew of two were available to come out a couple days after our request was made and they finished in a day and a half! Great communication all the way through and everything was covered and protected. After dealing with a handful of different companies doing work since owning our home, this was one of the best experiences we've had! We will definitely use them in the future for any other projects we have.

There aren't enough stars for AZ Dynamic Builders. Seriously, they are the absolute best. In the last month or so AZDB handled two projects for me -- both were replacing vanities and light fixtures in bathrooms. In both instances there were unforeseen complications -- plumbing fixtures, incorrect shipments from manufacturers -- beyond their control. These guys didn't blink; they walked me thru the issues and the possible solutions, then adjusted on the fly. They never even considered throwing in the towel and saying, Hey, not our problem. Requests for estimates and scheduling are handled promptly, and the guys couldn't be nicer or more capable. Do yourself a favor and hit them up for your next project -- you'll be very glad you did.

I wish I had more to say about BBG but apparently they are doing so well they do not need new customers.

I had seen their truck around town and found their card in a local paint store. Called or emailed them several months ago for the first time and got no response. Someone handed me their card again several months later and I called again and left a message - this time they called back and scheduled an appointment and Jason came out - on time - to discuss the work I wanted.

I THOUGHT that was a good sign, but apparently not, He said he would be back in touch in a few days, that was over one week ago. I am not in a rush to have the work done, but it would be nice to know if they are ever going to come back to me (guessing not).

All it takes is a simple phone call or email to say hey, we are swamped right now, are you in a rush? We have not forgotten about you and will get back to you. Instead, complete silence. I like to support local companies but I guess this one is doing so well, they do not need my business.

Home adviser referred these guys to me.  More accurately, home advisor gave these guys my number.  They called and did not leave a message.

Shortly thereafter, I received a text stating who they were and that they'd like to help me with my project.  One minute later I received an additional text stating that they had set an appointment to look at my project for tomorrow??? I found that quite nervy on their part that I would a) want to meet before any discussion of my project and b) to assume and set an appointment without any communication with me at all.

My response to them was your erroneous assumption re: my availability is not appreciated.  I will not be available tomorrow at 3pm
To which their response was OK you set the appointment not us.  We gladly do not want to work with you

Glad they were rude up front so I wouldn't have to deal with that attitude while spending my hard earned money!!
