John Sr. answered all my questions and had a proposal for my review in two days. John Jr. and his efficient crew came out on time on the scheduled start date and they had it completed in three days -- amazing work and attention to detail. They left our property clean which is always a sign of a business that takes pride in their work.  They also helped us every step of the way coordinating with the electric company.  Thank you Black Platinum Solar for helping us with our investment.

As a Sunny Energy customer, I greatly regret getting their system. If the system goes down,  it takes several weeks in getting it repaired. In the mean time you'll have two bills, one from the lending company and the other from the utility company. I'm still waiting for my defective system fixed.

We contacted Matt to do our basement renovation and our patio. The project was impacted by the fact that our house backs onto  a mountain and to complete the patio (paver stones) his crew needed to carry all the pavers up very, very steep steps. Matt and crew arrived on the first day at the time agreed and from then to the end of the project were ALWAYS on time. Additionally, they dealt with changes we asked mid project in a timely and positive manner. I loved the fact that at the end of each day his crew cleaned up and were always upbeat. The workmanship was outstanding. We have done many, many renos and rebuilds on our own so appreciate the professional, hardworking crew that Matt uses. Additionally, Matt did a great job upgrading our electrical work and ALWAYS  answers texts, emails and calls in a timely, kindspirited manner. I only wish I could take him back to Canada with us. Had 21 panels put on our roof a year ago.  Out of pocket costs = $15k.
Saved $1600 over the previous year APS bill, and we didn't own electric cars in 2013 (But bought 2 in 2014, as there was so much excess production during the day that we now don't have to pay for fuel for our daily driving).  The system will pay for itself in about 9 years (assuming power rates don't go up ((HA!)), and not even counting the fuel savings), and it will continue to produce power for more than 20 years.  Plus, because the solar panels are raised off the roof, the attic doesn't get nearly as hot, making the indoor temps much cooler in the summer.

I don't know what a ton of carbon dioxide looks like, but I know EXACTLY what $1600 looks like (and what I can do with the savings every year).

Tommy came out a couple of days earlier than our scheduled time. I had requested that he call me earlier should an opening arise before the appointed day & time, and he did! He worked hard until the job was completed and it was well after dinner time. He was very knowledgeable, and gave us options for our electrical issue. I waited for a year to write this review because you just never know if your experience from the beginning will continue.  But with Sun Valley Solar, it's been great from beginning to now.  I got multiple quotes and they were the best and were also recommended by SRP (there are a surprising few number of the many solar companies in Arizona that are actually recommended by the utility companies).  Mark Greene was my guy and he was excellent.  Straight shooter and knows his stuff.  SRP changed their generation deal and it's a little complicated, but he helped me understand it.  And to be honest, if you play the game right, I truly think the new pricing plan might be better than the old one.  The goal now is no longer to sell back a ton of power to the grid so you don't have to buy an expensive system to make this work for you.  As long as you can manage your demand, that's the name of the game.  We were able to set our demand to a 4 each month and had no problems staying under that all summer long:)  We have it around a 2.5-3 in the winter months without any complaints.  I just got my last bill for my first 12 months with the system and my payback after taking into account the state and federal tax credits is 5 years, 1 month.  Considering the systems will last more than 30 years, this might be one of the best investments I've ever made.  And they give you a printout of what you should expect from your system - a high, mid and low generation estimate based on each month.  My system generated OVER the high estimate 11 out of 12 months and the other month missed the high estimate by only a handful of kwh!  I've heard some companies over promise and under deliver when it comes to estimates, but that was definitely not the case in my situation.  If you are considering working with these guys and have any additional questions that you'd like answered from a real customer, feel free to reach out to me at [email protected].  Thanks Sun Valley for making the entire process go smooth!

From the consultation to the install of my solar panels, Coyote Solar kept me updated the entire time! We have debated getting solar in our new home for over 3 years, reached out on the internet and got hounded by several harassing salesmen. It was horrible.
Then a few months later I saw an add for Sunpower, their sales experience was like night and day. No pressure,  friendly, informative, and respectful of our time.
Best part of the desicion making the choice to go with their superior product and installation was their quote was several thousand less than other installers.

This was an important decision.  I did my research, compared companies, compared their service, their panels, their reviews, their long term stability.  I guess I need to start with the fact that I am an Elon Musk fan boy, but didn't go with his company.  He wouldn't mind, I'm sure of it.  I had spreadsheets, literature, and a makeshift algorithm for reviewing all of the data.

It came down to two things:  price per KWH and panel quality.  The price per KWH was a tie with another company I checked out, and less than the third.  However, the panels Harmon was going to put on my roof were a higher quality, more efficient panel which meant the system could generate more power than both of the others using the same number of panels.  I liked that.  Plus, the panels are made in the USA and by Sun Power, a large and reputable manufacturer.  After a couple of months of this, I went with Harmon.

When I was talking with them, they assured me that they go through all of the necessary processes with the town, the HOA, and everyone else.  They did not lie.  They made sure they got all of the necessary permits, inspections, and HOA approval.  My HOA was slow to get back to them, but their followup was second to none.  The installation went off without a hitch.  Their installers were professional and courteous and did an amazing job.  The system has to be hooked into your wifi so it can be monitored remotely.  They brought the wire into my house near where my router was set up.  A few months later, I switched cable providers and moved the router.  They came back in, installed a device that send wifi through my power outlets, and moved their hardware... at no charge to me.  I like these guys.  I still get an email every now and then from the sales guy who got me set up.

The system has been running for almost a year now, and I saved $600 on my energy bill this year.  That is 30% over last year.  I couldn't be happier.

One cautionary tale with the solar lease that does not reflect AT ALL on Harmon, it is possible with any company you choose.  When someone buys your house, they have to assume the lease.  They also need to qualify as if it were a loan, because, basically, it is.  Be aware that a sale of your house might fall through because the buyer is unable to qualify for the solar lease.  However, it is so inexpensive that if a buyer can't qualify, they are more than likely not going to make it to closing at the cost of your house.  This happened to us a couple of months ago.  In the end, this is the best purchase for my house I could have made.  Everyone should have solar panels in this state.  I whole heartedly recommend Harmon Solar

Had to sue Phelps Solar Specialists due to the unworkable system that they refused to fix, and to massive damage to my home.  Phelps Solar, when they are not lying and had to disclose their work, system and damage to the legal system THEN finally admitted the truth and gave me $8,500 to settle.  The case went thru superior court, is public record, and I have NO gag order stopping me for telling everyone and anyone the truth!  I have posted the check THEY paid ME to the site.... and anyone is welcome to contact me @ godblessvicki at gmail, if you want more info about this company, and their work, and what can and did go wrong.  The court record is public, so go to the superior court and put in Phelps Solar Specialists and you will get the case....Here is a copy of the case name / number:

In my opinion and my my experience they are not a "nice" local family, who treats you well and honorably.... they did everything wrong to my home and to me, and really behaved so poorly that I was FORCED to take them to court... who would want to go thru that hassle to fix an issue that you paid 6K for?  If I could go back, I would NEVER have allowed them put this horrible product on my roof in a way that it does not work as promised, or ever dealt with this company.  

LOOK AT THE ATTACHED SETTLEMENT CHECK.... AND NO GAG ORDER (as much as they tried) BECAUSE THEY DID HARM ME, MY HOME, AND MY FINANCES.

I Selected Gleason to fix the leak I had. Chose them because of their professionalism during the quote process. After that though, I constantly had to email them inquiring about the scheduling, I was told it would be the next week, which turned into the week after. Never was I called or emailed with updates, I had to inquire.
Once they showed up the work was completed within a few hours, but when asked about billing, the crew performing the work had no idea. The next day I received an invoice with no directions on how to pay. I had to call the office to ask. I was then told they could send me another invoice for using a credit card to pay, but they would charge a 2.9 % fee. 2.9?? This added $43 to my bill. Even after receiving the new invoice, there were still no directions on how to pay. In this day and age where customer service is king, I would expect them to be better suited.

I hate leaving back reviews but this one was a bit disappointing. 2 cancellations on back to back Fridays. They were good about calling the day prior and the morning of respectively. I was told family emergency for the first Friday and for the second Friday  technicians were both sick.  I know stuff happens but back to back cancellations is disappointing.  They haven't given me a follow up appointment.
