Best Lighting Installation in Chesapeake VA
I hired Tim to install new vinyl posts/railings to our front porch and back steps to our sunroom. He also installed new lvp flooring and repaired the ceiling due to water leaks in our sunroom. I must say that I was truly impressed by his skills, thoroughness, communication, and professionalism. He takes pride in his work and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Highly recommend!

I asked on my neighborhood Facebook page for references for ac repairman. I was actually given a different guy's name and he ended up sending me Kelvin with Rivera's Home Improvement! After meeting and doing business with Kelvin, I know it was divine intervention, because he was a God send! I ended up needing a new unit outside. Which could have been stressful to even think about due to expenses, but Kelvin is as honest as they come and doing business with him was a true blessing to me and my family. I now have a new unit, 2 days later. He showed up first thing in the morning just like he promised and my home is currently cooling in the low 70's and I now have a new 10 year warranty on my unit! I will never call anyone else about ac/heating ever again! I can't praise him or his company enough! No stress involved! I highly recommend him for your ac/heating work! You'll be glad you did

Neil performed a toilet installation and installed some spacers between the back of the tank and the wall upon my request. My appointment was on short notice since the old toilet was leaking, so he had to return a few days later for the spacers. Mr. Neil was punctual and communicative about his ETA for both appointments, removed the old toilet (and schlepped the new one up a flight of stairs), and cleaned up the work area. I do plan to hire him again for future projects. His rates were very reasonable and this is a great way to support a local, BIPOC-owned business. I will follow up with photos of future projects as appropriate.

Our home central AC stopped cooling in the middle of the recent heat wave. Came out after normal working hours and got us cooling before dark. Thank goodness. We highly recommend A B Parker & Son. They are professional and courteous. The BEST.

We have been using Grounds Pro for the past 4 years and could not be happier with their service. We have a 10 zone sprinkler system which we had no idea how to work or maintain when we bought our property over 4 years ago. Grounds Pro sent a crew out to inspect the system (we have a well for our sprinkler system) and educate us on the system. The gentlemen who are the face of Grounds Pro could not be nicer, patient or more knowledgeable. The crew just left this morning after getting our system up and running for the '23 season after being winterized (they do that too). At the end of last season we were having problems with a zone that was pulsing. They promised to address at reopening, which they did. These workers spend a couple of hours working on getting our pump primed and checking all zones. They did not leave until everything was is perfect working order!!! I can't say enough good things about them.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Also the lady that answers the office phones is the sweetest.
** If you have a sprinkler system and want a reliable company taking care of you, call Grounds Pro, they will treat you like family.

First off I have established a YELP acct solely to highlight my displeasure with this company. I have never written a review for anyone b/c I always try to give folks the benefit of the the doubt. I am in the middle of a pool install and got this company's number from a neighbor where Conyers Electrical had performed their pool wiring install. Two weeks ago( Aug 20/21), Conyers Electrical set an appt for the wiring of my pool scheduled for 27 August. I called them back two days later on 23 August for an estimate to which I was told to send pictures of the panel and site for install. I sent the pictures but never received an answer back so I called on the 26th to ask again for an estimate and to verify they were still coming on the 27th as previously scheduled. The answer was; yes, you are on the books for tomorrow. Keep in mind my pool is at a standstill until the electrical trenching inspection can be done. I took off work on the 27th (scheduled day as per Conyers) to meet the crew for panel location/questions/etc. On the 27th, around 0900-1000, I called them to ask for an arrival time. They told us to wait 10 minutes for a call back. No one called back. 45 minutes later we called again. No answer. Then at 1400 I called again and received a response that they had an emergency call at 0430 that morning and the crew was busy. I understood and even apologized to him for calling and asking for an update! But I was told to wait 30 minutes for a callback as to when they were coming. By 1800, I had not received a call and now today, 3 September, I have still yet to hear from them. I wasted a day off hanging around the house, had to spend several hours looking for another electrician, and have also wasted a week for the pool install process that will now no longer be ready for my son's birthday party on the 20th. Thankfully I have found another electrician locally that is doing the work. I was very surprised to have been treated the way I have been when I read all of the glowing reviews. The gentleman that answers the phone is always curtious, but always ended with, let me call you right back. I understand that they are busy, but I have been put off for a week. The worst part is my scheduled appt was on Tuesday, I had to call for info/updates, and even a week later they still haven't bothered to at least provide some kind of excuse. Maybe they just can't find us country folks way down here in North Carolina.

Heads-Up it is time for an update.
While I was originally unimpressed the first two times I used their annual services to maintenance my sprinkler system that they installed, over the last few years it appears they have improved their processes and I haven't had any issues.
They send annual email reminders now at the beginning and close of the season to schedule your routine sprinkler test and turn-on and turn-off (winterize) your system.
Additionally, they're responsive to phone and email (email is preferred for me) and they have their individuals call when they are on the way so if they give you a window of a few hours you can still wander a bit away from the home and have about 15-30 minutes to get back.
The individuals who have come out to my property have been polite and prompt and have listened to my needs and adjusted the timing schedule and showed me how to use and update the schedule if I want to make changes.
No issues or complaints here. They are doing a good job and seem to have taken some of the feedback for improvement to heart.

I put a call in on a Saturday. My call was returned quickly and an appointment for my plumbing job was set for the very next day. I told Micheal that I needed to have three bathroom faucets in my house replaced as well as some other things. I was assured that the tech could handle the various plumbing issues. The technician came with a mask. He was easy to talk to and attended to each or my concerns. He worked quickly and cleanly. The pricing was fair and transparent. I will be having them back to work on electrical issue as well other areas in my house. I am hopeful that the future interactions will be just as pleasant productive!

Their business is made of 2 guys that claim to be electricians but lack the minimum knowledge about this field and professionalism and a woman that answers their phone. Their business is not looking to establish a customer care relationship but their view about people is as a bank account to keep charging them for no service. Despite the no estimate charge claim on their website, they do charge hefty prices without resolving any issue and keep coming back demanding for more money. I absolutely do not recommend these two guys!

I am very disappointed the customer service of this company. I have attempted to contact their quality team twice through email in response to their survey after the job was complete.
For starters, the technician was on time, explained what his repairs would be throughly, professional, and made sure he did not track dirt in the house. I have zero complaints about the tech that came out. His name was Robin.
I needed to have some pipes replaced in my laundry room and the tech made an honest mistake and did not cut the water off all the way. One of the pipes broke in the process of him working on it which led to my hallway partially flooding and getting water underneath my new flooring on both sides of the hallway. When he was done there was still a leak on the pipe that I had asked to be replaced from the start. He said he did not think there was an issue with that pipe. He turned the water back on and decided he would come back another day to repair. He left and I called the office. The office did not call me back. I had to call them two times throughout the day to get a hold of someone. Then they said they would send the plumbing manger and the sales rep out to look at the floors and the pipes. That did not happen they sent the HVAC manager who took a look at stuff but it ended with just run some fans on the floors.
They also promised me that I would get a receipt emailed to me that noted the floors in case an issue arose in the near future with them. I have yet to receive that email. Furthermore they offer me the membership to offer me something but it really only took 15 dollars off my total cost. At this point I was over it and wanted the job completed.
Job completed no leaks or issues the second time around. Then I go in my bathroom on the other side of the wall from the repairs and there are holes and drywall damage from the saw which was used to cut the pipe. Which left a mess on the floor as well. Nobody told me or warned me about this.
I hate writing reviews like this when I feel like I have given them the opportunity to correct the mistake. I sent them emails in response to their quality survey sent after the job was complete. I included pictures in the second email that was sent to them.

STAND-BY GENERATOR INSTALLATION - PERFECT!
I contacted multiple companies in the area to obtain quotes for a stand-by generator installation at our property.
Jeremy Link from Michael & Son came out to provide an estimate for the job.
Jeremy was very thorough in his inspection (the only one who actually opened the breaker box panel) and provided an estimate right there from the driveway in about 15 minutes. I received in via email after reviewing the estimate with Jeremy. Awesome!
Upon receipt and review of the bids received - I informed Jeremy that their quote was out of range based on the bids received for the same services. I also did this with the other companies that provided quotes.
Jeremy contacted me the same day and stated he was reviewing with his manager to see what they could do. I told him the gap and let him get to work.
Later that afternoon - I received the updated quote from Jeremy as promised.
Upon final review of bids received (all for same installation, service, maintenance, etc) we selected Michael and Son to do the work. They were not the lowest bid - but were 'best value' based on criteria, reviews, and how Jeremy presented himself, the work, and the quote.
I notified Jeremy on Friday afternoon they were selected for the generator installation. He made arrangements to meet with me Saturday to walk-thru the job again, collect the deposit, and present the timeline - awesome!
Michael and Son took care of all permits, etc so I didn't have to do a thing. They got everything done in record time to start the job on time!! Jessie Camacho gets it done!!
As promised, they showed up on Tuesday morning with the generator and got to work. The team was Jeremy Link (project lead), Mike Delaney (electrician perfectionist).
There was a small hiccup with the gas line installation - however, plumbing manager Don Richards and Gas Plumbing Specialist Joe Creasey showed up at 5pm on Friday afternoon and fixed the issues. That was beyond my expectation - they cared about the job and got the issue fixed to get the project back on track.
Monday afternoon - I'm doing the final walk-through with Jeremy and testing the generator operation, etc. Flawless execution during the test - the generator kicked in and provided full power to the house 18 seconds after Jeremy killed the main power to the house. Phenomenal!!
We ran everything in the house - Both AC unit zones, all lights, etc. The generator took the load without any issues. I'm confident we'll have full power when Dominion goes off line.
Overall, I was impressed the by professionalism of Jeremy when he first showed up to do the bid, he clearly knows what he's doing and is clearly focused on quality of work and customer service. The entire team from Michael and Son:
Jeremy Link
Mike Delaney
Don Richards
Joe Creasey
Jesse Camacho
Are true professionals who focus on quality, customer service, delivery of great service, and customer satisfaction.
Thank you for the flawless execution of the generator installation!
If you're looking for any electrical work to be done - ask for Jeremy Link or Mike Delaney.
If you're looking for any plumbing work to be done - ask for Joe Creasey.
I will definitely consider Michael and Son for future projects.
