Irvin came as an emergency on call service for us. We had some questions and not only did he answer them, but he also took the time to fully explain how it all worked which gave us a peace of mind! He also explained it nicely in layman's terms! He met our expectations throughly and professionally. I have been using 128 Plumbing (128 PHCE) since 2013.  I still remember when Dave, the owner, used to answer calls.  The company has grown considerably since but the top quality of work, professionalism, and customer service have not changed.  128 Plumbing may be a bit expensive, but they are absolutely worth every penny.  I had a humming AC condenser earlier this week --so bad I received complaints from neighbors.  I had a feeling it was either fan motor fail or capacitor fail.  I called 128 and they were able to send a tech the same day.  Out came Andrew A, and immediately, he made a lasting impression.   He was funny and calmed the situation. He solved the problem immediately, found loose screw on the top.  Andrew then took the time to check everything else with the condenser, and noticed the capacitor was low on the condenser side.  Thus, I told him to replace the capacitor (it was over 11 years old anyways, only a matter of time to fail).  Finally, he used plastic ties to really tighten the top of the condenser.  Many thanks to Andrew A. and the 128 Plumbing team as always.

Mike has done multiple jobs for me over the years from big to small.   Some examples are replacing the boiler in my very old home, replacing a hot water heater, to hooking up a kitchen sink.  The boiler job was particularly complex and he was amazing to work with.  He's a perfectionist, knows what he's doing, and fairly priced.  Highly recommended!

Two years after we moved and cancelled our service, they charged us for the new owner's service.   We are still waiting for the refund for this. This refund should have been expedited but they haven't done that.  This is not good customer service!

Several years ago my husband was working in another state and only home on weekends.  We developed some issue with our furnace and we had a service contract with Gem.  I called and a serviceman came out, took a look at thefurnace and said it needed to be replaced, at a cost of $11,000 to $13,000.  It just so happened that a gentleman from an appliance service was there repairing my microwave.  He suggested that I get a second opinion of the furnace replacement and gave me the name and number of another Heating and Cooling business.  I called the number and they sent someone out quite quickly.  They repaired the furnace and charged me $73.00.  They also informed me that someone had removed a screw which caused the furnace to create a loud noise.  Gem had been telling me for some t that the noise meant a very expensive part needed replaced.  I called Gem and discontinued any service with them.  To this day I truly regret not pursuing this issue further.  I should have notified the owner of Gem to report this, the Better Business Bureau and possibly the police.  
I tell this story to everyone and anyone who will listen.  STAY AWAY FROM GEM!  Their service people have proven to be dishonest beyond belief.
