Best Lighting Repair in Washington DC
In summary, Reddick & Sons did not show up for their four-hour appointment window they had recommended which I respectfully accepted (see pic attached)! To preface this review, it is only about the estimate appointment that never happened - which was very unprofessional! I am writing this review, so Yelper's are fully aware of this. Reddick & Sons should realize that normal working people have schedules and appointments to make in advance of booking an estimate, especially with a 4-hour window. I even provided my cell phone to their rep in case they needed to reschedule or call me with any questions. In addition, I provided pictures of the issue in advance. The takeaway from this experience is based on the description of the job that was provided to them in advance, I just have to assume the job was too hard for them to handle... If that is the case, they could have easily called my cell aforementioned or messaged me to let me know instead of wasting 4 hours of my time!

I have used Belvin as my go to electrician since 2014. To the point, he knows what he's doing and does a good job. He has installed at my home, security lights, ceiling fans, light switches and electrical outlets. Everything is still running like the day it was installed, no issues. I can confidently recommend him to others.

Andrew installed a new chandelier in our foyer. He was fast, efficient and did what seemingly 3 other contractors couldn't for a very fair and reasonable price. I would highly recommend and we will definitely plan to call Andrew in the future.

Arrived as scheduled and the employee had a hard time finding the leak. Drained the valve box and couldnt find the leak.
He covered up and said if it continues to leak to call back and they will come back. Wasted $100 for really nothing.
Didnt follow through and dig around the line where the leak was later found by another company about 6 inches on the main line.
Wasted $100 for really nothing.

John Nugent and Sons installed our heating and cooling unit when we finished our basement 5 years ago. It has been running great but last night our cooling unit upstairs stopped working. I called them at 8pm and their front office called me at 8:30 in the am and sent over a technician by 10 am the same morning.
The front office staff and technicians are extremely polite and professional. Charges were very reasonable, as well. I would recommend them any time.

Quality and professional service at a fair price. Showed up on-time each day as scheduled with a full crew who were very courteous and polite, ensuring furniture was covered and protected. Worked neat and clean, and did complete walk through when done to ensure complete satisfaction. Highly recommend and would use for all my future projects!

If I could, I would give them more than 5 stars because the service provided by American Leak Detection was well above my satisfaction. Brian D. was the technician sent to locate my leak. He went above and beyond my expectations. He was professional, quick, and meticulously explained his findings. I am so thankful for his expertise. While searching for the leak I was concerned about, he discovered other sources that could eventually lead to future leaks. He detailed these potential leaks in his report. I feel completely armed with all the information I need to resolve the elusive leak.

I have a light fixture that I replaced the bulbs in and the bulbs have been randomly turning on and off. I called Marines Service and they responded the fastest. The electrician that came over was very personable and very professional. He laid out the expectation right from the start: that despite the light fixture looking new, this kind of problem may require a replaced light fixture. I wasn't prepared to replace the fixture and he did something that made it slightly better. While he was here, I asked if he could fix a J box that wasn't flush with the ceiling which caused a light fixture to not sit flush against the ceiling. He was able to determine how long it would take, and it took him that long to fix it. I highly recommend Marines Service for any electrician work.

I have used Michael and Son over the last two years to fix and service my two HVAC units. This company while there techs are friendly and courteous, their level of service has been extremely inconsistent. I have a leak in the coil of one of the units. A tech came out over a month ago and stated that they suspected a leak and recharged the unit but were unable to diagnose where the leak was coming from and that another tech had to do that and it would be an additional service charge. I thought this was strange and I asked several other companies about this and they found this unprofessional. Two weeks ago, I got a different company to come out and using a wand, within 5 minutes found the leak in the coil and give my an estimate to fix it. I thought I would ask Micheal and Son to give me an estimate as well. I first they were going to charge me the service charge but after talking with the agent, she agreed that would be ethically wrong. They came out and said that they would not replace the coil as the unit is out of manufacturer's warranty. I found this strange as the first tech said they could replace it. Seems like training is a low priority at this company and the techs are not able to communicate with customers in a consistent manner. Won't be using them anymore.
