Best Ejector Pump Repair in Washington DC

I had used this company for years and was more than satisfied; however, two years ago I enlisted their service and was met with no-call, no-shows. I then got an apologetic email that they had revamped their customer service, so decided to give it another try. Again I was disappointed; this time took off work twice for a scheduled appointment that never happened. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend.

I was not at all satisfied. The technician told me that my hot water heater looked old and was manufactured in 1999. We purchased this home in 2013 and subsequently replaced the hot water heater. Then he told me that the valve for the hose bib was stuck and needed to be replaced. When he left to find the outside water shut off I checked the valve and it turned with very little effort. When I showed this to him he said he was surprised. He quoted me a figure around $2300 and then said Let me see what I can do for you. Then he said that he could charge me for add ons for two of the the valves instead of charging for the full replacement, then deducted the valve that was actually working, then deducted another 5% and came up with a final amount of $1476.00. If the job could be done for that amount it should have been quoted that way from the start, not quoted that way as some sort of favor to me. Just price the job with all of the adjustments at the beginning. I will be getting other estimates and going with another company

These guys are great! They've come out several times and have solved a few plumbing issues for us. What I especially appreciate:

*Take the time to listen, ask questions, answer questions, and offer possibilities and education
*Provide info on what is the least expensive option and what a more costly option would be
*Work with us when we have done some of the labor ourselves (without being irritated or laughing at us about what we did or did not do right)

You may be able to find cheaper plumbers (though their prices are perfectly reasonable), but you will not find anyone more willing to help you arrive at the solution that is truly best for your house and budget. Most recently, Jon came out to put in a studor vent that he had recommended months ago. The drain kept clogging and it was time to go with his recommendation. He didn't tell us, You should have done it sooner. He helped me install the new vanity that fit the studor vent and we haven't had any more clogging since then (4 months). Thanks, Jon!

I usually never write reviews but my experience with MJW plumbing was the best experience I ever had in household repair/maintenance. Mike's wife answered the phone immediately and set me up with a same day appointment, giving me updates of his ETA by text. Mike arrived within two hours of my phone call. He was able to diagnose the problem immediately, drive to Fergusons to obtain the required replacement part and fix the water heater within 1.5 hours of arrival. Mike's work was not only of high quality but amazingly efficient. In addition, Mike and his wife were both extremely courteous and pleasant to speak to and addressed any questions or concerns I had about the repair. I highly recommend MJW plumbing and I plan to use them for my future plumbing needs.
