Definitely recommend Stokes Plumbing. He was quick to respond and fit us into his schedule faster than I thought possible. He was a pleasure to work with and taught me a lot about our plumbing situation as well as handy tricks to know for later. You can probably discern that this will be a VERY positive review, it may also be a bit longer than the average. So, if you just want to know, were they good, were they timely, etc. they were 5 stars all around. But, if you want to know how truly exceptional Drain Wizard was, read on.

About three months ago the sewer line at one of my properties began backing up into the house. I tried my plumber of 30 years who was unsuccessful at breaking the clog. Another plumber came out with a bigger machine and successfully (for a while) opened the line. It dawned on me that I had a specific sewer line insurance policy. The policy and the insurance company also did a great job, but that is a different review.

We had several large companies out to diagnose and fix the problem enough times that $2,000.00 of my $5,000.00 insurance cap was used. At this point my research pointed me to Drain Wizard. When the technicians came out with all the right equipment to do the diagnosis. They pinpointed where the issue was and after some negotiation with the insurance they released the remainder of the 5k and I added an extra 1k to have the Drain Wizard team come out and do the final fix.

After several hours of digging the tech called me to say the found the problem. What they discovered was that when the power company buried the power lines they drilled through my sewer line with the electrical line. the Drain Wizard team worked with the power company to rectify the problem until 10 PM when they were finally successful.

Drain Wizard saved me cutting down a mature tree which the the other companies identified as the problem. It was not the problem.

Would give DW 10 stars if I could.

If it is plumping related, Comet has it.  The staff is super knowledgeable and helpful.  Save yourself some time if you need something, stop here first, you will be in and out in a jiffy with exactly what you need.

Jason's an awesome guy and offers a fair price. Had him come and diagnose a leak in my house. Come to find out it was an HVAC issues. But he explained everything to me clearly so I was able to understand what was going on and also recommended an HVAC guy who came and resolved the issues. Jason was responsive and communicated with my the time he was available. Will definitely be contacting him again it I have any other issues.

Neil and his team were prompt, courteous, good at communication, and delivered on time. I will definitely use them again.

I was dealing with backup from all water sources into our downstairs bathroom for 3 days trying to get our landlord to call someone. after many calls, Michael and Darren from Roto-Rooter Norfolk came out at 9pm and fixed the problem within an hour or two. they were very professional, personable, and i enjoyed the laughs we had at the situation. I cannot say enough good things! thank you thank you thank you!!

I called for a evaluation and I was told on the phone that it'll be free, I had called because whenever someone was using the bathroom and the kitchen sink at the same time our kitchen sink would clog but eventually it'll go down with the garbage disposal. After explaining to my concerned wife that something like that is normal she insists on calling a professional I went with Mr. rooter because like I stated before they would do a free evaluation. The gentleman came in did his best to remake the situation my wife was concerned about. He too said it was normal. He was at my house for 45 min I know this cuz I tacked it on my ring doorbell, he didn't put a snake in my drain he just kept turning water sources on and off. Later he says my crawlspace is producing graywater I checked before he looked and my crawlspace wasn't flooded only some water at the entrance. I myself have done crawlspace work and went under my house before this visit and didn't find any leaks on the vapor barrier. During the time he was here he says I have to charge you something for the time I was here
I agreed because as a pest control technician I charge for my time but I don't charge $201 for less than an hours work!!! I'm not happy with the service I was given. I simply paid $201 for a professional to tell my wife I was right the whole time.

My first encounter with Justin was during a bathroom remodel in which I already had a hired plumber. He looked over the work that was done, said it was subpar with cut corners, and confronted the plumber for me getting him to re do the work for no charge. He earned my respect and has had PLENTY of my business since then.
Justin has consistently provided top notch work at my home. He responded to an emergency sewage issue that two other companies couldn't fix, installed a tankless water heater, removed the boiler, installed a brand new gas line and made all the new connections look stellar, replaced replaced toilets... and more. There hasn't been a issue he wasn't able to fix and charges far less than major companies. Anyone that can match his pricing isn't going to get the job done correctly.
I can't recommend Justin and Flotech Services enough! He's now taken care of friends and family and everyone thanks me for the recommendation. So glad he FINALLY set up Yelp so I can for all recognize him!

Mine is just an observation, of professionalism and what I perceived as genuine concern and pride in a job well done.
The team work of the persons at the site and the patience of the guy leading to explain their progress and the vision of the task at hand... I found to be impressive.

Don't be fooled! When you call for information or to schedule an appointment, their customer service is great, but if you have any issues/complaints, the customer service quickly goes down hill. The work done was good, although everything wasn't discussed prior to the work being done. When we had an issue with the billing, everyone from the owner, Jimmy, to the office manager, Candice and Cindy were all rude. I have never been talked to so negatively and from so many people at one company. I can honestly say they do not value customer service AT ALL. If you want to risk everything being done with no issues, then give them a call but if anything can possibly go wrong, don't expect them to be nice enough to fix/solve it.

I can't begin to explain our happy I am that I DID NOT use this company and went with a strictly plumbing company for my sewage drain issue within my slab. I was quoted a ridiculous amount of money for work I later would discover I did not need. That estimate also entailed a considerable amount of contracting work I would need to have done when they finished which meant much more money. When I did not want to sign the contract on the spot, I was told I would have sewage coming up through my drains. Six months later, no sewage ever came up through my drains, the work was done at a third of the price and much less intrusively in my house. Please, take my word-get a second opinion or don't let them in your house to begin with!!!

After walking around Home Depot without any help, we tried this location. Service was immediate and the salesperson was extremely knowledgeable. Recommended as a one stop shop.

Once again your company came to my rescue! My brother was scheduled to help me winterize but he got sent to OK. My hubby is in the hospital in FL so I called your office. Sarah explained all the details and gave me a quote. JOE arrived at the house Sunday, called me and did the work. I know I can always count on your company to be there when needed! Tried to over charge for time. Charged for 1 hour 15 mins and was there 1 hour. Showed him time on ring camera and he still argued saying he was going by his time. That 15 mins was an extra $50! Also charged labor to fix clogged toilet AND CHARGED FOR THE TOOL USED! $150 for the tool on top of the labor fee. Also travel charge. Not like I can bring my toilet to them to fix so that's just a way to get a little more. Feel very taken advantage of.

I called them yesterday evening due to a pipe burst after freezing temperatures. They said they would come over at some point that night and call first.

No call all night.

The next morning I called and left a voice message to see if they would still come over. At 2:48 p.m., I am still waiting to hear.

Do not use this company. I realize all plumbers are busy right now due to freezing temperatures and pipes bursting all over Hampton Roads. However, it is unacceptable to tell someone that they will come over and then never show up or -most of all- NEVER call.

They do not do work up to code, steal tools and personal property and never finish a job that they are paid for. Jason and Melissa are both con artists. They were paid in full for a job and didn't even complete it. On top of stealing over 1k of items from the home. The owner of the trailer is not happy, never was. Took them to court and they never showed but were quick to file bankruptcy to clear the judgement.
