Best Electric Water Heater Installation in Pittsburgh PA
I wanted to let the public know that Joe is a TRULY HONEST MAN! He took the time to explain to me what the job should actually cost. He told me to make sure I got lots of quotes, and to ask for estimates for worst case scenarios. No wonder he is booked solid for 2.5 months out. If I would have known we would need a plumber, I would have had him pencil me in months ago, lol. Please make sure you contact Marshall Plumbing first and you will see that his quote will be the best, with excellent customer service, and a job done right! He was recommended to me by other extremely satisfied customers. He is licensed in PA, WV, and OH.

I have had to call Frank three times in the recent months. Two calls were for smaller problems and one was for a large problem, a broken pipe behind a wall. Frank was able to fix all three problems in a very reasonable amount of time and at a very reasonable charge. I recommend Frank to be called for any type of plumbing problem. John B Penn Hills

Very happy with Express Plumbing. Its such a relief to find a professional that I can actually trust. (especially when he was dealing with me and not my husband) I was ripped off by a big name plumber who didn't even finish the job. I called Express Plumbing and the same day Steve came out and fixed the mess the other guys left. He was quick and very reasonable. I have since had him come back to install a hot water tank, as well as a new furnace and AC unit. I highly recommend!

Let me first say both Andrew and Christopher were extremely professional. Coming from California, I was extremely impressed with both of the men's presentation and integrity. I had a wonderful experience with Andrew who had extreme attention to detail. I had a lot of small detailed work on floor and trim that needed finished. Previous contractor was sloppy. I couldn't be more happy with the job and how easy he was to work with. Andrew allowed me to walk him through the house as he completed each task, he worked very well with me and displayed nothing but respect and eagerness for my satisfaction. Christopher was doing the electrical work and also displayed attention to detail reviewing carefully each project to make sure it was completed efficiently. I actually kept both guys 3 hours longer because the original company who was to hang outdoor lighting never showed. These guys stayed and Christopher completed all of my outdoor lighting and other indoor lighting. If you want efficient work done in a timely manner this is your handyman service.

I called Lakewood Mechanical to do the initial set up on my new AC unit (coil / condenser). I called in a Wednesday before memorial day weekend and they set me up for a time the following day to make sure they would have what they needed. They showed up as promised, took a look and set up the work for the following day.
The technician showed up earlier than promised and the work he did was top notch. He kept his work area clean, wore shoe covers every time he entered the house and made the install very clean and professional.
I hold contractors to a very high standard and he exceeded my expectations. I cannot say enough good things.
Thank you again Lakewood Mechcanical!

They replaced a coil for us that was under warranty. Honest and helpful. Service call to check was $99.95 and labor to install our new part was $140/hr. They did great work in a reasonable timeframe. Only negative was that I had to call a few times after the service call to get updates on what the plan was and on the last call for a status, we were told the part was in and they'd be there in the morning. It might have been because they were swamped with work at the time, but you may need to stay on them a bit. I will say the service guy was friendly and did a great job. Actually felt like he left the area cleaner than he found it. A week after the repair and everything is working great. Definitely recommend them.

I've had this man clean my gutters twice. Very professional. I will call him when I need something done again. Clean vehicle, clean appearance. Doesn't talk down to women.

Gerard plumbing review for yelp
The plumber that came out to the house was absolutely great. He did a great job, was personable & respectful. The wait time to get someone in to do it was a lot less than other plumbers for a non emergency service. The guy I spoke to on the phone over the weekend was also great. However, they quoted me one price over the phone over the weekend, when someone called on Monday to schedule the service she said oh, he gave you a nice discount for that then when the plumber came onsite he charged my mother $100 more than the highest end of the quote. Originally, I asked to install a valve & a dishwasher. Turns out the valve was already there, but it did end up needing replaced. So they charged $100 more for less than 2 hours of work and a easier job that originally quoted. They also took down part of my basement ceiling to see how the dishwasher was draining, that I now have to replace, so it is going to cost even more money to repair that now as well.

I was definitely disappointed with this company. My general contractor brought them to my house to replace two shut off values at my meter and install a pressure regulator. My contractor got a quote from them for $350. I thought the price was a little high but agreed to have them do the job.
My contractor called me after the work was finished to let me know the pressure regulator wasn't needed so it wasn't installed but the bill came in at $451.00
The bill went up 30% from the original quote and they didn't install the regulator.
I was charged $319 for labor and $132.00 for parts.
So it was $451 for two shutoff values!
Looking at my security cameras they were here 2 hours.
I will never recommend this company to anyone.
Extremely disappointed!

Tonight, we came home to frozen pipes in our Squirrelhill townhouse. It was, needless to say, a rather major inconvenience/problem. luckily, I gave Sullivan a call after someone at southside plumbing hung up on me, and there were some Squirrelhill plumber that wasn't able to help me. I made a call at 4:30 and spoke with Amy, at Sullivan, and she was able to schedule us this evening. Our service man/plumber arrived in the early evening and was able, with quite a bit of time, to clear to freeze in the service line. It took about 2 1/2 hours and once it was done, we were very relieved. If it wasn't going to work, we would've had to call a welding company to do it for us. We're very thankful that we got this done in short time and with very minimal inconvenience to our family. Although it was not cheap, it was done properly and I will say that Brandon was a very nice man and very diligent.

I called Beverly Services to replace an old rusted out piece of ductwork prior to getting our basement remodeled. We had contacted another local company who sent out an estimator, but completely showed no interest in taking on our project. Beverly was our second choice, and we had no problems scheduling appointments or getting our project taken care of.
Everyone we dealt with at Beverly Services from the estimator, office, duct work guys and plumbers were friendly, answering any questions. We've been at our home for a few years using other service providers but will more than likely call Beverly Services again for future service.

I completely concur with previous reviews about Mike (the owner) and his errors with recollection of events. His recollections or lack there are are oddly convenient and self-serving.
McVay plumbing was recommended to me by our realtor. She specifically indicated to ask for Mike (the owner) to come out and do the work which we did. He came out to our potential new home to conduct a sewer scope test. He was unable to complete the sewer scope test and because the sewer line needed to be cleaned he could only get about 68 ft. in to the main sewer line. He recommended that we have it cleaned and rescoped. I then asked him if he came out to finish the sewer scope test if he would charge us again or do it for free. In front of my husband and the home inspector he indicated that he would come back and not charge us since he was not able to complete the test. Before he left I confirmed this with him again and he agreed. Recently we found out that the sellers of the home had the sewer line cleaned with a plumber of their choice. We called Mike McVay to come back out to schedule the sewer scope test so that he could complete what he started.
Today, when my husband called to schedule him to come and complete the test he first argued with him regarding the specific house in question. Apparently, he had a hard time remembering the house my husband was referring to. After arguing with him about the house he then he informed my husband that he was going to charge us an additional $175 (he originally charged us $200 for the initial scope test) to come back out and finish out the sewer scope test. My husband addressed that he told us that he would come back and finish the test and not charge us again. He argued with him again and ultimately said that he would charge us the additional $175. I called him to address this and when I did he refused to acknowledge it and argued with me saying that he would never say that he would come back out and do it for free. After reminding him of his words which he stated in front of more than just myself he refused to take ownership and honor his statement. I promptly cancelled the appointment with him. I am so disappointed that he had the audacity to lie to me and my husband. I would never had expected him to come out and do the job for free if he had not indicated that he would do so in the first place
Next time we will definitely be going with a different plumber, hopefully one that is honest and can recall his business more accurately. Any recommendations of such a plumber are welcome!
Biggest lesson learned, get these things in writing!
UPDATE! Mike called back last night and said that he would honor his word and come back to re-scope the sewer line and not charge us! I was really happy to receive this call and news, both of which were completely unexpected. I welcome him to come tomorrow to so that I can update all of you with positive news regarding his professionalism and commitment to his customers.

Very easy scheduling and upfront pricing. Received a quote and booked the appointment through Yelp app. We will definitely use 5-Star Air again in the future. Thanks for the help with backflow testing!

Am sitting in a house in which EVERYTHING is covered in fine dust from
replacing an 8x5-foot bathroom; however, the only thing in this ONLY bathroom now is a toilet. The floor is plywood, the walls are open studs. I wash hands & face, brush teeth, wash dishes, cook, etc., in the kitchen sink. Luckily I have a basement utility sink where washing machine drains to take a bath, i.e. a washcloth bath. I now have washing, clean-ing, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, dry cleaning, etc., EVERYTHING in a bedroom, den, kitchen, dining & living rooms, & two basement rooms the size of the first floor. Am afraid to go up to second floor bedrooms! The plumbers started Monday & it's now Friday night. I have the weekend (& the past week) WITH ONLY A TOILET in the plywood bathroom! Every-thing from the bathroom is stacked here, there, wherever there's space! While I have used Allen Plumbing before, this is a complete & utter disaster & will be cleaning this mess for at least a month & who knows how large a dry cleaning bill plus others for cleaning supplies to wash, polish, clean, sweep, dust, vacuum EVERYTHING: window sills, curtains, drapes, rugs, carpets, all furniture, two pianos, lamps, ceiling lights--you get the idea--everything on the first floor & two-room basement! The furnace/AC will need be professionally cleaned & its three-month old filter needs replaced! Everything is covered in fine dusk--even the back porch which is OUTSIDE; the bathroom window is/was open!!! Forget the temperature outside is in the high 80's so the air conditioner is also full of dust & sending it out everywhere!!! If you need major plumbing work done, be sure to talk to several plumbers, ask questions & compare answers; don't just trust positive assurances. Remember YOU'RE the one living with results of the assurances! It ain't pretty or positive for you! It's weeks more work and expense!

I was referred to calfo by an online service, and I contacted them next day to make an appointment. On the day of the appointment, I was running late getting home so I gave them a call to let them know that I would be there. The person that I spoke with didn't seem to know that I had scheduled an appointment. They did show up although quite late. After I described the problem, the tech said it sounded like the control board, went downstairs and plugged the fan output into the 120v in line and confirmed that it was. I was then quoted $900 for a control board replacement. I didn't know how much this should cost so I made an appointment. After checking online, the highest price that I was seeing in my area was around $500 for the same job and the replacement part alone was $46. I cancelled the appointment, ordered a board and figured I would install it myself. It was about a 30 minute job. When I cancelled the appointment, they told me that it was $140 for the diagnostic which still seemed a little high, but I said okay that's fine and gave them my credit card info so they could charge me. When I received the bill, they had charged me 149.99 for the diagnostoc plus a circuit board restocking fee of $80.
All in all, I would say save your money folks. There are much better options.

Adam Mondine of Modine Plumbing & Construction is FRAUDULET! He asked for a $150 retainer for Tiling my shower. He declined to do the work and promised to refund my money. Over the last 6 week I have asked Adam for the refund and he promised he would. He has lots of excuses of why he could not!
Not a Man of his Word. Please stay away from him. 6 weeks of his excuses are enough!
