Best Electric Installation Or Replacement in Oakland CA
Paul is friendly and professional! He responded quickly to my job request and got all the details necessary to come prepared to do a quick install. He quickly removed and installed a new garbage disposal unit in about half an hour. Highly recommend!

I called Yevgeny to install a lamp that was bought from crate and barrel. My first thought was I'm not an electrician and I'm not dealing with this. My research came up with GeneralSF due to the popularity of its owner, Yevgeny.
From the start he showed safety and a great deal of expertise. The lamp was extremely difficult to install and he knew exactly how to place it in our popcorn ceiling. Yevgeny was careful to properly place the lamp in our ceiling with precise alignment.
Along the way, he made sure that I was comfortable with the height. This guy is a true professional and even changed my light socket from dimmer to switch to accommodate the new lamp. He even grounded the light switch for added safety measures.
I highly recommend GeneralSF for all your electrical and remodeling needs. Yevgeny usually does large scale format jobs, but, was willing to help me install my lamp!

Their plumbers are very lazy. They park in a no-parking zone when there is plenty of nearby parking. This employee preferred to play with his cell phone than move his truck. There was another truck also parked illegally. How can anyone trust a company that does not follow the rules? They probably also are lazy fixing your plumbing too!!

Yaro was very responsive when I texted him this morning when dishwasher wasn't draining. I thought it was a drain problem. Yaro came out the same day, evaluated the draining from the sink, opened the dishwasher and discovered some debris stuck to the dishwasher filter. He cleaned off the filter and the standing water in the dishwasher drained out. Problem solved quickly! I'm glad I didn't have to call the dishwasher repair tech. He was very professional and quick in diagnosing the problem.

Requested a quote via Yelp to help me out with a leaking washer hose replacement so I'm able to do laundry again, and they directed me to call them because of their policy of not issuing estimates via messages or phone. Sure, fine. Called them on Wednesday, scheduled an appointment from 2-4 on Saturday, easy peasy.
So I'm sitting around Saturday afternoon waiting, and I hear nothing. Shortly after 4 PM I call them to see if they're running late, maybe due to the rain, and...there's apparently nothing in the computer for my name/address. No appointment, or any kind of record of my conversation at all (but they definitely show up in my call history!). They'd love to help, but now next availability is Wednesday.
No thanks, if you can't get the simplest task of a scheduling phone call right then I'm not sure I want you mucking with my pipes.
(Edit: Jonathan, the owner, reached out to let me know he had looked into it. He assured me this was not in line with how they try to operate, said that the relevant employee would be getting some coaching, and offered to help expedite an appointment for me. Outreach greatly appreciated, but I already have another company lined up and it doesn't get me my Saturday afternoon back. Another star added for good followup, though.)

The weather has been getting much colder recently, and just this morning our water heater broke down. After trying everything we could to get it to work, we decided that we would call Plumbing Care because they were local to us in Dublin, and because of the high ratings and reviews they have.
The experience we had with Plumbing Care was even better than we could ever expect. It was a rainy Saturday morning at around 3pm, and my hopes were not very high that we would find someone to help us. Even though this is California, it can get cold, and life without hot water in the winter is simply miserable. From the moment we first called, we were directly connected to somebody in the office. My first reaction was one of surprise that there was somebody there to take our call on a late Saturday afternoon, and we didn't reach an answering machine! The representative we spoke with was extremely polite and patient, asking questions and providing suggestions for us. When I asked him if it may be possible to send somebody to help us today, he told me that he could have somebody scheduled there in about an hour. I was thrilled.
About 25 minutes later, I received a call from an unknown number. It was the technician who was scheduled to help us. He shared with me as a courtesy that he will be there in just 15 minutes.
After diagnosing the problem, the technician (his name was Mitko) informed me that unfortunately, our water heater was pretty old and suggested that it may not make sense for us to spend the time to try and further isolate and fix the problem, because other issues with the water heater would likely come up soon anyways due to age. I really appreciated Mitko and his manager's thoughtful suggestion in terms of replacing our broken water heater with a new one. They also went ahead and were able to provide a discount to me because, which was really appreciated as new water heaters are not inexpensive.
Mitko then shared with me that he would immediately go to San Ramon to pick up the new water heater, and then get back as quickly as possible. He estimated for us that including all of the time to replace and install the new heater, he hoped to have everything completed the same day at around 9pm. I really appreciated his urgency and willingness to spend his entire Saturday evening rushing in the rain to help us with something our family really needed. The service was smooth and efficient. Mitko ended up completing everything about one hour ahead of his estimated schedule.
A quick story to share, which was slightly unexpected. On the way to picking up the new water heater, I received another call from Mitko. I was expecting the worst when I received his call...thinking that either the water heater we needed was out of stock, or possibly, the price that was quoted would need to be changed due to some new factors which were unexpected and unavoidable. It turned out my fears were completely unfounded. The only reason Mitko called me was just to tell me that there is actually a rebate for the water heater that I am purchasing. He was afraid he might forget to tell me this, and rather than risk that, he called me immediately to make sure I could take advantage of the rebate.
To be honest, I don't think many business (or service technicians) take this extra mile for their customers. Just a few hours later after my call, I now have hot water again, and the entire experience was thorough, honest, and communicative. The only surprises were good ones. Perhaps just as important as having access to hot water again, I feel that I've gained a bit of wisdom in being reminded that while you don't necessarily see them everywhere, there are actually individuals and companies out there who are honest and truly care about their customers. Thanks so much to Plumbing Care. Thank you Mitko. (Note to management at Plumbing Care: Please do recognize Mitko in some way for his truly amazing thoughtfulness and service; he is absolutely amazing.)

Our water heater was broken on Sunday. The water was coming out of the heater unit and it has started to flow through the garage. I had the suspicious that the unit is broken and it turn out to be true as well. We then closed the gas pipe and water inflow to the heater unit. This unit (Bradford white) was replaced in 2014 by Advanced plumbing. However, it has broken in less than 7 years. I was thinking that Bradford was a reliable brand and can run for atleast 10 years. So, called up the same company (Advanced plumbing) for a quote to replace this unit again. But their quote was way way too much as compared to other companies that I had talked to. One of my friend referred me Vince from VIP plumbing. So, I have called up Vince on Sunday itself. Since Vince doesn't work on Sundays, he asked me to send the pictures of the unit and he would come on Monday to replace the new unit and also mentioned that he would lower the price if I get a quote from other companies. I had also called up Plumbing Care Inc and they showed up to look at the heater unit and provided me quote for three different heater units. I felt that their price was ok but wanted to check with Vince to see if he can lower the price. So, Vince was kind enough to lower the price compared to the quote given by Plumbing Care. Vince came over today (Monday) and replaced the heater unit and made the system up and running.
I am really happy with the way Vince installed the unit and the professionalism. I would highly recommend Vince to all my friends.
