Best Gas Furnace Installation in Minneapolis MN

I contracted Erickson to replace several old nasty furnaces in a rental property. Zach gave me a fair quote, responded quickly to all of my questions wasn't pushy at all regarding making the sale.
Their crew showed up on time on the date promised; we're professional and polite with the tenants and completed the work in the time frame allotted.
Very pleased, defiantly recommend them and would hire them again.

Not only where they able to get out within hours of first contact, but their price was perfectly reasonable, the work was completed with attention to detail, and the technician took that extra few minutes to make sure I was happy.  Needed someone in a pinch, found someone I'll count on for any plumbing needs down the road.

We've used Comfort Matters for all our HVAC related work since moving into our home last September. We only have the highest praise for CMs maintenance and installation work. Chris (consultant), Nick and Ian (installation) took care of our new HVAC system install needs from start to finish. We had no concerns nor issues to think about, other than what system and cost was best suited for our townhouse unit.  After selecting the best option CM's installation crew came a few days afterwards and did the complete HVAC install in one day (actually about 7 hours). By that evening we were up and operating. They made sure we were comfortable with the process from start to end. You won't go wrong using this company. Even before coming out they send a brief bio of the techs or consultants serving us so we get to know a bit about them up front.

We purchased a Daikan system 3 option and Aprilaire whole house humidifier. So far, we are very pleased with the system and twice a year maintenance.

My furnace had been making an awful rattling noise which I was worried was the furnace itself. I finally gave up and called someone to help. They were easy to schedule and got to me much quicker than I expected! He was able to stop any extra noises in the furnace and gave me some advice on the air filtration system which will save me a lot of money while he was there. Very nice and polite.  I would definitely call them again if I have a problem.

We had Legend Services do all of the plumbing and heating work with finishing our basement and it came out great. They were on time, very friendly. Left no mess behind, professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone I know.

Everything you could ask for in a great service company. John gave specific detailed feedback, weighed the costs and benefits of what actions to take, showed commitment to customer satisfaction and feasibility in price and functionality, and I got to learn plenty of baseline information about the specific problems that were occurring on my unit so I know why decisions are made.

Third time I called for service, first time I was disappointed. No phone call or note upon arriving home, so I wasn't sure if anything had been done that day. Also, the scary pipe banging I called about is still there. Sounds like it is about to rip through my wood floors every time it happens... I will fix that myself.

Then three nights ago the drain setting in my sink - that I had them install - popped right off. Don't think that is supposed to happen... I will fix that myself, too. (Dramatic self-pitying sigh).

This company attempts to take advantage of the elderly. They gave my parents a quote for almost 6k for a new ac unit. They told them it was shot because of mouse problems. They called another company and they repaired it for $140.00. Do not call these incompetent fools for any reason. The friendly voice when you initially call is a con that will cost you a fortune. Heed my warning! You will forever regret this mistake.

They called me 3 times within an hour. It was the middle of a workday and since I didn't recognize the number, I didn't answer. I called the number after the 3rd call to find out who it was and a man answered Service Today and started rambling about some sort of deal they had going on. He kept talking without letting me get a word in. When he finally stopped I told him that I'd never used their company before and asked that they please remove me from their call list. He immediately hung up on me. From the other reviews, sounds like it's a good thing I didn't fall for the deal.

Everyone makes mistakes and accidents happen. It's part of life.

However, when a company repeatedly makes blunders which cost you money and then refuses to make it right, that's just bad business. Personally, I had to take vacation time over six days and spend an additional $700 too because of their errors.

My wife and I built a new home last year with Sabre as the HVAC and plumbing contractor, and we've had an incredible amount of trouble with their quality, craftsmanship and customer service.

Here's is a quick rundown of the trouble we've had with Sabre:

-The technicians at Sabre installed our HVAC system wrongly causing cold winter air to be forced into the house instead of passing through the furnace. This caused our winter heating bill to be $100-$150 more than the average for the winter months.  It was eventually fixed, but in the end, their mistakes cost me money.

-Because of the issues with the HVAC system would couldn't use our lower level during the winter. The temperature rarely crept above 60 degrees.  At night, the temperature rarely got above 55 degrees, despite our thermostat set at 70 degrees. The problem was eventually resolved, but it took over three months and six service visits to get it done.

-Our 2 Zone HVAC system and thermostats were wired backward. The heat control on the thermostat was wired to the AC system, meaning the AC would turn on when the heat was supposed to. This meant we were greeted by a blast of cold air when the heat was supposed to turn on. This should have been found during inspection but was not. Again, Sabre had to send someone out.

-Technicians had to come to our home six times over two months to fix the problems above. Yes, you read that correctly SIX TIMES. This forced me to take unnecessary time off and lose even more money.  You know it's ridiculous when you are on a first name basis with the technicians.

-Finally, we had a natural gas line installed during the building process. I spoke with a rep from Sabre and was quoted over the phone $292 for the job. To my surprise, I received a bill for $550 after it was installed. This price was never agreed upon at any point. I would have paid the bill without much thought, but because we had so much trouble, I was extremely annoyed. I paid the bill, but the company should have compensated us.

Save yourself the trouble and take your business elsewhere.

We had a wonderful experience with Brad from Dean's Professional Plumbing. Brad did all the rough in and finished plumbing for our business, White Bear Meadery. It was a big project that other plumbing companies turned down but Brad made quick work of it with his years of plumbing experience. The last time our Condo Association will use these people. In June we contracted for an annual maintenance check with BWS for our air conditioner. The service tech was very pushy and strongly suggested some additional services that were well beyond the initial advertised cost. Based on the age of our air conditioner he tried to convince us to buy another one as they happened to be doing another installation in the building the next day. Rather than replace the unit I agreed to a hard start modification and signed up for an annual service plan that he said would pay for itself. Later I heard that many owners were similarly pressured and that the owner was going to review all invoices and issue refunds. The owner of BWS corresponded with our Board President and encouraged owners to also reach out separately if desired. He also indicated that one of his techs had been overly aggressive in selling services.  I did call and was routed to his voicemail. Since that time there has been no action -- no return call or refund.  Based on these actions, or should I say lack of follow-up, it is safe to say that they will never get our business again.

Moving to a new home, needed some plumbing work before moving in. We called City View and scheduled an appointment for them to come out and give us an estimate on a couple of items that needed to be addressed.  They came out on a Monday and promised an estimate by Wednesday.  We called on Wednesday making sure they had our correct email, to which we were told rudely we would have it by the end of the day.  Nothing!!  Called late afternoon on Thursday again checking to see when we could expect it and making sure they had the correct email address. They apologized, saying they would get it out ASAP, NOTHING, no phone call, no email, no I'm sorry we have been busy, total silence.  Apparently they have enough business, I would not recommend using them, unless you like a challenge!!  They are only getting one star because I can't post without it!!

We had Air Mechanical out for a slow bath sink drain. I was quoted a charge of $113, but if the machine is used it's $323.00. I watched as he worked and took out the drill powered auger claiming the clog was in the drain line. after reassembly the drain was just as slow. He removed the sink drain stopper and pushed out a large clog. After reassembly the sink drained quickly.
I appreciate the fast, courteous same day service but wonder about the $200 up charge for an extra 5 minutes of work with the machine.

Doing a bathroom remodel and needed a couple shutoff valves installed - compression fitting, no soldering.  A quick job 15 minute job and they charged $560!!!!!!!  The young kid that came out was nice and knowledgeable but I told him he is working for a crooked company.   UPDATE:  B&D saw my review and reached out discuss my dissatisfaction.  It shows they cared.  We had a good, honest conversation about my opinion and came to a mutual solution.  Therefore I have increased my rating from a 1 to a 3 because they want to make things right.

Called them to help with a clogged sink at my house.  Rol Air sent an inexperience plumber by himself to run a snake.  After being unable to unclog my sink, he call his boss who, instead of coming to checkout his employees work, just told him tell me that the main pipe has probably bellied out and that it would cost me thousands of dollar to repair.  I told them I would need time to come up with that kind of money.   After he the plumber left, I went to home depot to rented a 75 ft snake and ran it myself.  After multiple passes and boiling hot water proud down the drain, the drain eventually unclogged.  I would not recommend this company and try a different plumber.

Would never recommend these guys!  Moving into a new home in November of 2019 our water softener began experiencing issues in December.  This softener, along with a new Furnace, AC, and Water heater had been installed by the previous owners through Genz Ryan in September of 2017, or less than 16 months prior.  You would think it would be covered under warranty.  Nope, not with a company like Genz Ryan. I called Genz and although there is nothing in writing directing the former homeowners to do so, because they did not call Genz to let them know they were moving they voided the warranty on everything they installed.  Genz then tried to pressure me into spending $4800.00 for a new softener, some kind of high pressure gauge, a thermal exchange of some kind and a bunch of other BS that ended up not needing to be done.  The explanation they gave me was that the water pressure coming in from the city was so high that it caused the softener to leak resin into the water system.  I spoke with 3 other companies after Genz and all three of them told me there was zero chance this is what caused the issue.  Pretty sure Joel with Genz Ryan made it up completely to try and pressure me into a sale.  What a sorry excuse for a company.  I ended up repairing the water softener for $345.00 about a week ago.  Little different than the $4,800 Genz wanted to charge me.  Go elsewhere with your business.

Had a new water heater installed and after reviewing other companies they are overpriced.  And what really was bad we had a gas leak after they left and had to have CenterPoint energy come out and fix.  Could have blown up the house.  Strongly recomment not to use them!
