HISTORY
Established in 2005.
We are a locally owned customer focused heating, air-conditioning, & plumbing company that was started with a strong focus and providing the best customer service and quality available. Compare our guarantee with the limitations, fine print and exclusions other companies tend to use to back their work today. Others will typically guarantee only the functionality of the equipment--not your satisfaction with the process or that the finished job lives up to your expectations. This is why Comfort Matters Heating, Cooling, & Plumbing continues growing with more satisfied customers each and every year. Give us a call for your service needs and see what you've been missing.
ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER
After graduating college in HVAC design I began working in research and development for one of the worlds largest HVAC manufactures. I specialized in finding product issues and engineering them to top quality standards. Over the years I worked closely with over 400 manufactures of HVAC products and gained great knowledge to find economical solutions for customers to save them money and have a reliable heating/cooling system. Comfort Matters was started to bring these solutions to home owners in the Twin City metro. In 2010 we were awarded 1st Place in the national Quality Homes Comfort Awards for a project we did in Golden Valley, and then in 2011 awarded #1 Heating/Cooling company in Maple Grove by the Readers Choice Awards.

Reviews
Beware of misleading service notice from this company, they claim your warranty could be in jeopardy if you don't have them inspect your equipment. Looks like they're trying to lure non-suspecting customers.....
We have used this company for almost four years for service and repairs. This year we bought the service plan. Don't know why we did not do that before! The ease and cost is not a lot more than doing it ourselves. Less hassle!
I have always been immensely pleased with courtesy, timeliness, thoroughness of job performed and prices are competitive for this area.
The company calls to remind of that service is due, calls the night before to confirm and then the technician calls the morning of the appointment to state the time of arrival!
Excellent service every time!
Jeff was great! I called these guys for a furnace tune up. He explained everything that was going on with the furnace and I felt comfortable with his recommendations. He was friendly and went above and beyond when I needed help and he even fixed my thermostat that kept flashing filter. If you're looking for friendly and affordable heating and AC people, these are your guys! Highly recommend!
Wes was very knowledgable and took his time. He answered all my questions and genuinely cared. Thanks Wes!
I received a direct mail piece from these guys about a sale on upgrading my HVAC equipment a while back. I figured yeah, typical stuff. I decided to call them just to check it out since I knew my system was almost 20 years old.
As soon as I met with them, I knew this was not your typical scam or budget company. These guys know their stuff. Wound up having a full system replaced. They were simply amazing. Top notch crew, all of which couldn't help telling you how much they loved their job, and their attention to detail really showed.
Then I met Corey, the owner, and I knew where these guys got their work ethic. He was not happy until I was totally satisfied. Changes to the system from things I hadn't thought about were never a problem. The yearly maintenance plan sounded expensive at the time but the argument about protecting the investment was sound. Now I'm glad I did.
Here I am 5 years later. The system still performs like it did on day 1. Their people do preventive maintenance twice a year (they call you to schedule the free service .. no hoping you forget stuff). Any issue is immediately corrected. They have 24/7 service which I've had to use once. They were fast and less grumpy about being called in the middle of the night than I was!
There are not enough good things to say about these people. May not be a cheap budget outfit, but you truly get even more than you pay for with them.

Always responsive, and professional! They do great work, and they don't try to pressure people or up-sell anything. Highly recommend.
Very poor experience. I reviewed this company recently. The owner responded back. The owner was responded to.
As I understand it no review can be removed by the company being reviewed. I was able to find and read the review until just after the owner Corey responded. Where is my review? Has Yelp also been less than honest/ethical? Bottom line, I was deceived. I was told there was a hole in the back of my furnace and that the furnace needed to be replaced. Total stress-out. I'm past retirement age, working as a nurse... yes, through all of our covid and it's uncertainties/stressors, paying off a furnace loan I had no choice but to take out. I was shown a picture of a hole that was supposedly in the back of my furnace. I also just had had my furnace inspected by this company and received a perfect bill of health. I was never shown the actual back of my furnace either, by the way. Shortly after, my neighbor told me there was no hole. I kept quiet out of embarrassment for falling for one of the oldest tricks in the books. I would never recommend this or any other company that puts money/greed before truth. Appalling isn't it? I'm writing this because others have likely become victims. Maybe this will help so others will not become victimized. This has rocked me. I'd like this company to publicly admit and apologize for their unethical practice(s).

We've used Comfort Matters for all our HVAC related work since moving into our home last September. We only have the highest praise for CMs maintenance and installation work. Chris (consultant), Nick and Ian (installation) took care of our new HVAC system install needs from start to finish. We had no concerns nor issues to think about, other than what system and cost was best suited for our townhouse unit. After selecting the best option CM's installation crew came a few days afterwards and did the complete HVAC install in one day (actually about 7 hours). By that evening we were up and operating. They made sure we were comfortable with the process from start to end. You won't go wrong using this company. Even before coming out they send a brief bio of the techs or consultants serving us so we get to know a bit about them up front.
We purchased a Daikan system 3 option and Aprilaire whole house humidifier. So far, we are very pleased with the system and twice a year maintenance.
I've called on Comfort Matters a couple of times now and I will say they're quick, on-time, friendly, and helpful. You should be prepared for a heavy sales pitch though. They will 'helpfully' suggest hundreds of dollars in extra fixes you didn't know you needed (and probably don't), like a $700+ dollar electronic air filter I 'need' to get because the regular pleated filters are bad for the HVAC system. They'll also spend a lot of time trying to sell you a subscription to their twice annual maintenance program. If you know what you need done, and can say no to a sales pitch, Comfort Matters will do great work. If you're susceptible to sales pressure, you'll probably end up spending a lot of extra money.
Excellent work, drop the sales pressure and they're perfect.

I have discovered Comfort Matters. I had been with the One Hour people for years and had bad service to many times. Comfort Matters is local, individually owned and they provide great personalized customer service.
Amazing company with excellent technicians that are friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. I know absolutely nothing about Air conditioning, and they gave me every possible option, including repairing my existing equipment which saved me a great deal of money. I'd recommend them to anyone needing Heating or AC repairs. Great company!!!!
