Best Garbage Disposal Installat… in Milwaukee WI
I read numerous positive reviews on Thumbtack regarding water softener repairs by this outfit, and I'm VERY pleased to say Waterfoul Plumbing did not disappoint! Corey was very professional, very courteous, and corrected our issue. Because our softener is 20+ years old, I figured we would have to purchase a new one, however, Corey indicated the unit was fine but just needed a new part. He corrected our issue within an hour. He's also very reasonable in terms of price. Waterfoul is now our go-to for all of our plumbing needs. Thanks, Corey!

Our kitchen sink was leaking, and when I closed the shut-off valves under the sink, they leaked, too. I called and was able to get a same-day appointment. Dan was very friendly and professional, and the price was very reasonable. I am very satisfied with the results and would gladly hire him again.

Martin was great! He was able to quickly come and fix and repair the siding on one of my rental properties before the wind blew it all off. Additionally I had some other things for him to take care of in the rental itself including installing a new toliet and his work was great at a competitive rate!

Another good service call. I have a hell of a time with my tub drain--clogged in all sorts of place. Chris got a deep clog out, one that I never have found myself but that's a plumber for you. I think I've got the problem licked bc Chris explained the what and wherefores to me. I like knowing what's going on behind the wall. Cool.

Nice company to work with. Good communicators. Our plumber was a great guy. No creepy vibe whatsoever. The only problem is that 5.5 hours cost us 2 weeks wages. We just don't understand how regular working class people are suppose to afford the cost. Of course we believe the plumber and company should make a very good wage, but there is a disconnect. This was a true hardship for us.

We recently moved into a house and this was our first time hiring a plumber. That being said, it was daunting to decide who we wanted to go with. Jay from Norman's Home Improvements made the decision easier for us, as he was thoughtful and willing to discuss our possible plumbing issues right away, before even booking an appointment. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Norman's to anyone who was looking for assistance. Our experience was a good one, and our issue was resolved with one visit. The total cost was especially reasonable, and we feel we learned a lot in the process - it is always a great thing when someone is willing to explain things to you and answer questions, versus just completing the job.
I reached out to numerous plumbers and companies, but Jay's response stood out right away. While most people were happy to give me a (fairly high) ballpark quote which left me wondering if I would be taken advantage of for my lack of plumbing knowledge, Jay was happy to discuss the possibilities of why our kitchen sink had stopped working for no apparent reason ahead of time, before even booking an appointment. He was able to come take a look at our sink just a couple of days later, on a Friday evening. He spent some time discussing the plumbing of our house with us in general, which was extremely helpful as we only moved a few weeks ago. He was happy to answer questions and make sure we understood things, which we really appreciated. He was professional and explained the cost ahead of time after diagnosing the issue and prior to completing additional work beyond the base service fee for the visit.
Norman's Home Improvements was a good first experience for us, and I would gladly hire them in the future for additional work. In addition to plumbing, they also do work on electrical, HVAC, and carpentry. We would highly recommend Norman's and we especially appreciated the willingness to not only perform the work but explain the process to us as well.

Had a slow drain on a kitchen sink. Tech came out and gave an estimate of $330.00 for the service. It seemed high, but what do I know. He snaked the drain and said he did not find anything. I paid the bill. the next day I received the invoice that stated I had purchased a $99 3 year advantage plan membership. He never mentioned it. Called the company to have it removed and if they room the $99 then the bill increased by $80. What awesome is the folder they handed me at the time of service warner warning me about getting ripped off!

Awful communication, awful owner who will verbally berate you on an ego trip.
Had this company replace my drain tile and sump pump in November of 2022.
At the time of completion, work was sloppy and rushed (the actual workers themselves are all sub contracted and will cut corners). Our drywall was smashed out where they said they could go underneath and told me that wasn't their problem and left an exposed open pvc pipe running to the outside, providing a highway for air and bugs to enter my home. This was remedied after many weeks of unresponsiveness.
The cherry on top is that, at the first rain we received in late winter, I realized that the sump pump they installed wasn't able to keep up with the water flowing into my crock. Had I not been home with an extra submersible pump, my basement would have flooded. I later come to find out that this sump pump they installed was a smaller one that I had originally in my crock!
I attempted to contact IHN numerous times over the span of 3 months. The woman at the desk plays the useful fool and will give you a runaround about how she will relay your message to the work crews, but that won't happen unless you hound them! I never received a call or email from IHN that I did not initiate (except when they wrongly accused me of not paying when they simply deposited my check into one of their different accounts due to their own incompetence).
Eventually after three months I was able to speak to the owner, Jim, who was nothing short of a senile asshole. His own employee at the front desk even said, I dont want to put you through to him because he is cranky on multiple occasions, what a way to run your business. He berated me and shouted me down for 10 minutes on the phone, refusing to address a single thing I brought up, on the basis of I did the work 6 months ago. He then hung up on me. All I wanted was to have the original size sump pump I had before the work installed.
This company will not stand behind their work. They have been involved in our 50 lawsuits over the past decade. This is just standard operating procedure for them. The owner is a despicable cowardly man who cannot tolerate the slightest request to make work right. No wonder they're so involved with the legal system. Avoid if possible.

Disappointed in the service we received. Tried them on two separate occasions and both times we had issues with their pricing. Would not recommend using them at all.

This company endangered the safety of my family and our home. We hired them to upgrade some natural gas plumbing in our basement on 5/8/2018. They also replaced a kitchen sink faucet and relocated a water filter. Several hours after they were paid and left, my son detected an odor of natural gas. Feeling it was lingering gas from the abandoned gas line, we vented the basement using the bathroom fan. The odor only got worse. I called the office, it was closed and the voicemail was full. I checked their website and it did not list an emergency phone number! I had no choice but to contact WE Energies our utility company. They dispatched an emergency technician to our home. He found 4 MAJOR leaks, tagged them and locked our meter. It is now 24 hours later, we cannot bathe/shower, cook, wash dishes and wash and dry our clothes. During the work, a ceiling tile was broken that they ignored to tell us about and the ceiling tiles that were moved to gain access to complete the work were not put back in place. Totally unsafe, unprofessional work. And, I was never provided a contract or a receipt upon completion of the work. All I have is an emailed estimate. The plumber came back this morning to rectify the leaks but they cannot be confirmed until the utility company unlocks the meter. You can't make stuff like this up!!

I had an emergency situation on a Saturday and they were willing to come out. The second he walked into my house I regretted my decision. He was very rude and it was clear he had no desire to be there. Very crabby, very rude even through my tears of anxiety and frustration. As a single mom trying to keep a house in order I would never call them again. He made me feel inadequate and I was more overwhelmed once he left. I felt extremely taken advantage of and their customer service was absolutely horrible!

My wife and I built a home. The builder has used Wilkes Plumbing for many of his jobs. I talked with the owners wife who handles sales and pricing. We had things in the home that we wanted to upgrade. My wife and I set an appointment to meet with the owner. At that time we had questions as to what the itemized cost of things were and what the cost of the alternative option would be. Things seemed off because she could never give a straight answer. I had to ask multiple times because I want to be sure of things. She would never tell me the cost of the original options and would never tell me the actual cost of the alternative. She would only give me estimated additional cost over the estimate. (example: The larger tub would be an additional $300 on top of our initial bid). This made it very difficult to weigh our options. Our third option would have been to purchase things our own. We would not know if we had better pricing if we did not know the original price. I also wanted to know that if I wanted to purchase my own tub what would our credit be for them not providing the originally quoted item. She told me she did not know the prices which was understandable. She claimed she would email me the prices of everything the next day. She emailed me a list and once again the list was only composed of price differences and not an actual itemized pricing of their services or products. The price difference was reasonable and despite my frustration I was advised to just continue because going with anyone else at that time would delay our build. I agreed that we would pay the additional for the upgrades. They were scheduled to start working a week or two after. Upon a visit to the home I found all of their supplies in the house so they could start working the following day. Everything we requested looked to be correct. Up until this point they had been fairly professional even with my reservations with the pricing. They had also been on time and friendly. We were happy. The next day I received an email claiming that the total price had increase. It was substantially higher than previously communicated in emails. I immediately called the owners wife and questioned the email. I was not happy. She had told me that the prices was higher because the changes were based off of the building plans and not the estimate. The building plans were designed to have a walk in shower and a whirlpool tub. She said the price was based off the house having a modular shower/tub combo. The shower and tub would be extra. The home design never had a modular unit and always was designed to have a shower and tub. It appeared that she had based the allowance off of the generic price she regularly charges this builder and not specific to the building plans we had. I told her that this was not acceptable because when we had met with her we had a copy of our plans with us and had previously requested she had itemized costs ready when we meet. She did not have that and never took the time to recognize that my home was a different design than she had previously provided service to. As a business professional she should have had a way of handling this. None of this would have happened if she would have originally provided the information I had requested. I told her that the new price was simply not feasible. She said they had already started the install and that it was to late. I told her to stop working on the job because I do not approve the additional costs and I will not be liable for them. I was irate and spoke to her in such manner. I told her no further work is authorized until costs have been reviewed. I went to the house to check on the status of what was already done. The plumbers were still there working. As soon as I walked in an older man confronted me saying are you the owner I told him yes. He started yelling and got in my face saying if you ever talk to my wife like that again you'll regret it. I told him that his wife was trying to pull one over on me. It turned into a big fight. They would not leave and so I did because I was concerned about my safety. I had emailed them and told them to only do what was in the original estimate. I had to buy and install my own tub and build my own shower including laying a cement shower pan. I still was forced to pay them extra because they would not allow any other person to work on the job because they held the permit. If I wanted another person to work on it I would have had to have the city pull their permit and issue one to the new contractor. It would have delayed my build and Wilkes would not have finished the job they were over charging me for. I was stuck. I was lied to, over charged, screamed at, and threatened. In the end I still had to pay extra and did not get anything from them that I had wanted in my home. Worst experience ever and I would never recommend anyone to use them.
