Best Sump Pump Installation in Madison WI
So impressed with these guys. Casey who answers the phones couldn't be nicer. I had a potential disaster at a rental property and these guys where out there in an hour and had the problem fixed in no time. The cost was super reasonable and they are nice people on top of it all. Thank you so much!!!

Awesome company! Came on a Saturday before Christmas to fix my water heater. They were honest, very reasonable, and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again!

Everyone was great! Friendly, efficient staff! If I ever have trouble with my furnace again I will definitely be calling them. I don't have a typical work schedule and they were nice enough to work around it for me.

My Parents, who are in their late 70s, water softener system had failed, and stopped working on 11/14/2022. I had gone down to check out the system. I heard a leaking hiss, and found a pinhole leak, from one of the main water lines so I turned the water supply off and did a temporary patch to the leak. I had worked on the system before, but it was at it's end of life, and needed to be replaced. I called Plumbing Place, it was already late afternoon, and the receptionist said she would call their master plumber, and would give him the details, and to expect arrival time between 7-7:30 the next morning. The Tech was prompt, and was friendly. He checked over the system, and told me all that needed to be done, and gave me an estimate. I had agreed, and he went to get the the necessary parts, and returned. He removed the old system, and installed the new one. He also did some pipe replacement, and repairs. He was very skilled and efficient, and the new water softener system looked great! The job was completed in just a few hours, I was very pleased with the work he had done, I would contact this company again with any future repairs! I would highly recommend Plumbing Place, as a very reliable company to do business with!

I've used these guys a few times and have never had a negative issue with them. I had a major freeze up this winter in an old pumphouse and even though busy, they got out here that day. Was a major job and the price was totally reasonable for the amount of work it took, thankfully.

EXCELLENT SERVICE!
Jeff from Judd Pumps & Plumbing showed up within 2 hours of our call. We had no water and we really needed someone to come! The receptionist who answered my call understood that we needed help and she assured me someone would come the same day. Jeff was super friendly and efficient and he fixed the problem quickly. He went above and beyond by taking a quick look at our a/c which wasn't working on a hot day. He determined that one of the two a/c units wasn't working which was helpful.
CONFESSION:
*I didn't even know we had a well until the water stopped working (I know that's kind of pathetic).
*I didn't know where our outside a/c units were located.
*I couldn't answer any of the basic questions one might ask about our water system.
I appreciate that Jeff wasn't phased by my lack of knowledge, nor was he condescending in any way. He was cheerful and polite, and he clearly wanted to help us solve the problem. Having worked with many service companies over the years, particularly during the last 12 months as we renovated, Judd Pumps & Plumbing stands out as exceptionally reliable.

Honestly, I can't write enough good things about S&S! We had our whole water main from the house to the lateral break. It was lead, leaking badly, and had to be replaced quickly. Lygia in the office was awesome to talk to and helped us get going right away. Rick came out and gave us an estimate in under a day. We received an incentive from the city with the pipe being lead and S&S worked directly with them and handled everything from start to finish. On time, honest, super fair pricing, great work, and all around nice people. If I could give 10 stars I would!!!

I was in the middle of a bedroom remodel and I needed some radiant baseboard heating installed so the project could continue. I called Ben and he was able to fit me into his schedule pretty quick. He came out to review what the job would entail, and the next day he showed up and completed the task quickly and professionally. He even helped me get the heating system back up and running. He was prompt, responsive, and priced fairly. I'll definitely be calling him for any future projects or issues. I'd recommend 100%.

Had a cracked line on my ac unit - got charged $100 to find it, and then the quote was for $1150 and was told to replace my entire AC system instead of fixing it. Got a second opinion from another place and they said it was just a $400 fix including a recharge. All Comfort Services quoted me $500 in refrigerant alone.

We needed a gas line put in the house we just moved into to use our dryer. Robert's made it a priority to get us on the schedule quickly (the laundry was starting to pile up!), and did an excellent job. They even came back out the next day when we smelt natural gas - turns out I caused the leak when I hooked up the dryer, but Robert's came out and fixed it for free. We're new to town - Robert's will be our go-to plumbing/heating company from now on.

Scott from Triggs is great. I live in an old apartment with old plumbing. Scott has worked magic with what I've got. He is great with working with the materials at hand to fix the problem and has a creative mind for fixing plumbing issues. He is polite and genuine and won't finish a job until he's satisfied that it has been done the right way. He's been out to my place a couple of times to fix plumbing issues (my whole bathroom really needs to be gutted and re-done, but that's another story) and each time I've been nothing but satisfied. I can't speak to the price, as my landlord foots the bill and I don't see it, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Scott to anyone who needs plumbing service in the Madison area. He is one of the best for sure.

Incredibly difficult to schedule anything... they can't even confirm if we can set an appointment for tomorrow.

Do not use this company- I cannot go into how many problems I have had with them. On an install they blocked a door in my basement, pinched off a line that made my basement flood, and as of today I've been 2 weeks without hot water. Take your chances.

We hired Eckmayer to install an equine waterer and frost free hydrant. We sent them the specs and installation information for the waterer and met with them in person twice to discuss.
We negotiated what we thought was a great deal, we had a separate company come in and trench, and they were doing installation only so it was going to be time & materials.
The overall quality of the work is good, however, they installed the waterer incorrectly. They did not follow the directions provided to ensure the waterer was protected and would not freeze. They were sent the installation instructions and a video prior to ever bidding the job. So, we called them to tell them their mistakes after talking with the manufacturer. The installation instructions were very clear, this was completely an error on Eckymayer's installer.
Admittedly we could have been read through the installation directions so that while we were there we could have been questioning how and why they were doing things. But, we didn't. We trusted that they did the research and knew what needed to be done. We gave them all of the information they needed to do so.
I don't know what made me go back to the installation instructions and verify the install the next day, but for some reason I did. Once we realized the errors, we called to ask them to fix the error. We were told it would be at least 1.5 weeks - keep in mind we have a 6' deep, 4' wide open trench spanning 235' of our property, and we are heading into winter so those lines will freeze if they aren't covered - not to mention the hazard of an open trench that large. This can't be left open for 1 - 2 weeks.
We are going to have to fix it ourselves. So we asked for them to discount the price since we are going to have to re-do the installation. Their response was that they gave us a huge discount already and that they added things we never discussed. This is not true. I was told it would cost approximately $600 and if they encountered any issues it would up to $800. They charged us the full $800 and there were zero issues - they even told us it went much faster than anticipated. They also said they discounted the curb stop from $500 to $300 already. However, he told me from the start he would only charge us $300 for the curb stop, we didn't ask him to discount it. Then they tried to come back and say we never requested a curb stop, until the day of installation - but our original quote from them a month prior included a curb stop. They were the ones that recommended it.
Lastly, we were told we would be given a curb stop key. The installer graciously offered to get us one and said they were easy to make. We don't have one and when my husband goes to replace the install we are going to have to shut the water off in the entire house and drain all the lines since we can't turn the water off at the curb stop. When we asked the manager about this he said essentially it wasn't his problem and if that was a side deal with the installer, that's on us.
I will say the installer did quality work and we liked him overall - we liked him so much we bought him lunch and gave him a $50 gift card to say thank you. However, because they installed it wrong my husband has to go hand dig out the pea gravel and disconnect it himself and put it back together. It definitely wasn't worth the $800 we paid since we have to re-do half of it. Their customer service with this mis-installation has been awful. We were using them for other services prior to this incident and won't be using them again.
